When It Comes to Cheese, This New Burger Is Thinking Outside the Bun | Eater

"At this San Antonio ramen restaurant the “Tokii burger” is offered with two distinct cheese-sauce treatments: a truffle cheddar sauce or a spicy version finished with additional sliced jalapeños, playing the same sizzling-cheese concept through different flavor profiles." - Bettina Makalintal

This place was amazing we had the pork dumplings as an appetizer and the tomahawk steak and it was cooked exactly how I like it! The plate was perfect for 2 people we even had leftovers it comes with bao buns, limes, and green sauce. I would give this place ten stars if I could I mean the chef is doing it all on his own he’s amazing I give him so much props for pulling it all off and with great customer service as well. This place has my heart and I highly recommend it!

Have been pretty happy with the food I’ve had here so far (the birria bao, the tofu, and the kimchi ramen). The ramen was good, though the had to make a substitution of the purple garlic cabbage for corn because they were out. The pork chashu was juicy and flavorful, though it didn’t have what I would consider a more traditional flavor profile and was more reminiscent of like a good pulled pork. Overall, I’d say this ramen is a solid option if you’re in the area. Better than bakudan, imo, but I still prefer Jinya as my favorite ramen spot in San Antonio.

Google
Best ramen in San Antonio and I mean it. I travel to Japan a lot, and since going to Japan USA ramen just isn’t it. In my opinion, this is as close as it gets when it comes to Japanese ramen flavors. Owner was friendly and very “scratch kitchen” vibe. Friendly staff too, must try.

Google
I had the veggie red miso ramen(minus the egg). The broth was very flavorful and the ramen overall was delicious. I ordered the tofu pan seared dumplings, and I felt the tofu wasn’t seasoned enough for my tastes. Some items were not available from the menu on a Sunday night at 6:30pm, alternatives were efficiently offered. There was a long wait for the food (large group right ahead of us likely contributing to it). The waitress was very apologetic, and checked in frequently while we were waiting.

To the server working alone today, go get a different job. It’s not okay to be berated by your boss. You were working hard and trying your best. To the chef, we can hear you being a jerk. The glass windows around your kitchen aren’t sound proof. Food was okay, but hearing the chef being a jerk really ruined the vibes. I get being short staffed and stressed but treating people with decency is always a must. The server was hosting, serving, and cleaning all by himself while being berated. Will not return.

Very small, casual Ramen noodle spot with excellent service & very tasty food. Don't miss parking garage in apartment complex behind location, there are retail parking spots available. Tables all have tall chairs, so keep in mind for physical limitations. My meal was shared appetizers. Excellent Karage-super crispy chicken & savory sauce. Recommend pan seared dumplings. Yummy pulled pork bao buns--I'll get more than one next time, & companions say biarria buns over the top if you like braised beef cheek, or barbacoa. Too bad shrimp tempura was not avaliable. Also shared Fire Noodle, a variety of spice & sweet, very tasty. Tea was bland. Suggest a few more liquid options. Overall, great, causal & satisfying experience.

Google
My friend & I shared the spicy kimchi ramen - a bit expensive for the lack of meat/protein you get but the flavor packed a punch and the noodles had a nice bite! Enjoyed the kimchi add-in as in the name. We came pretty late, around 9:30 pm, but they still allowed us and other people in which was nice. Service was prompt.

Google
This is my new favorite in SA! Right when you enter you can tell they care about providing an excellent food and service, and that's what you will get here. The ramen was completely amazing, the dumplings were uniquely exquisite and the Bao buns were carefully prepared to perfection. Try it as soon as you can!

Yelp
The Noodle Tree was a pleasant surprise. My friend and I both enjoyed our burgers. They present it in an entertaining way. The cheese was a nice touch. The burger I got was the spicy one. It's a delicious burger and it comes with a side of fries for $14. I added avocado for $2 extra. The fries are good but nothing special. They have free parking in the parking garage behind the restaurant. The service we received was very good. The restaurant has an anime theme. They also have free arcade games to play on for the kids and the kid in you. I truly recommend Noodle Tree and I will be back there in the near future.

Yelp
The birria bao was AMAZING. The broth was everything, the ramen? 10/10. Thick noodles (that I prefer) very flavorful, the service was amazing and the ambiance was chill. We will be back

Yelp
Food was yummy! Service was great. They even had a spot for Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift to sit Food was tasty. We had their dumplings for an appetizer. I'd show you a picture, but all I got was the empty plate lol. I forget what bowls we had, but they were both pretty good. The only gripe we had was that their pork belly was more like pork shoulder. It wasn't true to what you'd typically find in a ramen bowl. But it was still good. These bowls are simple and to the point. If that's your style then you will love this place. I think we're just used to a bit more flare (maybe non traditional) in our ramen.

Yelp
Noodle Tree is criminally underrated. The Hakata Ramen with kickback sauce may be my favorite bowl I've had in the country. We moved and that bowl is literally what I will miss the most.

Yelp
Dinner last night was @noodletreetx. Briza was accommodating and set us up to sit outside. Unfortunately, there were too many flies so we moved indoors. Dad had Lemonade. My husband and I had the Strawberry Guava drink. Each of us had the Birria Bao Buns, which had barbacoa and cheese. So good! We also shared the Shrimp Tempura. Dad and I shared the Hakata Ramen with no spice. My husband had the Red Miso Ramen with kickback heat. We had just enough food! @noodletreetx is part of the AAPI Month. Yelp
This is a cute and quaint little spot that's great for intimate meals. The server was sweet and was good about checking up on us regularly.

Yelp
WINNER, WINNER, FIVE STAR DINNER!!! Y'all! This place was AHHH-MAZING!!! Let's start with the details of getting here. It's randomly located in a business/residential building right off UTSA Blvd. you park in the back, there's a parking garage and "retail" spaces are clearly labeled. Then you walk around the building back to UTSA blvd. to enter. It's a little weird, but, my advice is to look past this slight oddity and do it! Inside the setup is casual. I'm not a fan of the stools and would highly prefer a standard chair, but that didn't take away from my rating. The service was friendly and one waitress rocked the entire floor! The place wasn't jam packed, but it was more than half full. She was nice & helpful & was able to check in and get things done! The music was hip and fun and the overall vibe was laidback and chill. Ok, now for the highlight of the whole spot: THE FOOD! Started w/ a birria boa ($3.5 each) and it was heavenly!! The bun was soft, fresh and perfect! The birria was tasty and saucy, the cheese pull was perfect and added all the things cheese adds! And that side of consome to dip your bao in, PERFECTION!! Literally, pick up the bowl and drink it, because you cannot waste goodness like that!! Jumbo pork pot stickers, pan fried, were not only beautifully presented, but they were a knock out of the park on taste! And they are big & Delicious!!! The curry chicken ramen was OUT OF THIS WORLD yummmmmy!!! Everything about it worked so well together!! It was a legit symphony of amazing flavors! Perfectly seasoned, the chicken was delicious, corn, peas, green onion, egg, noodles, everything was perfect!! I had about half a bowl of soup left and 3 pot stickers. The waitress took and pack my to go food. Check out this five star service- she separated the noodles from the broth when packing. Chef's kiss, perfection!! She even packed a soup spoon and chopsticks for me! The leftovers the next day did not disappoint & were just as good y'all! Awesome food, great service, will absolutely will be back!!

Yelp
Update a year later: can confirm this is the best ramen in TX. Since my initial review, we have come here multiple times and our go-to order is the Hakata Ramen with Kickback. The kickback is not too spicy, adds tons of flavor and has a little burn in your throat but you will not sweat. We have tried many of the baos and those are also delicous. I am writing this after finishing another bowl, my fiancé and I sat in silence for 10 minutes while eating this. Absolutely amazing. Staff is also friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Ambience 5/5 I came here for dinner on Saturday night. I had miso ramen and birria buns. Both of them were delicious and the meat was so tender. Ramen broth was flavorful and noodles were cooked perfectly.

Yelp
Food tasted good, I got the Taipei Chicken Curry. The waiter was nice and it was a pretty quiet place to eat at. I would definitely go back!

Yelp
I've been coming to Noodle Tree since it opened. I've been to many different Ramen restaurants but this one is the BEST in town! The eggs are always perfect and I love that you can vary the spice. The restaurant is super clean and the staff are always friendly. I wish they had a location in Boerne but the noodles are worth the drive
google avatar

Darlene K.

Yelp
I've heard so many good things about this place. We stop by after a concert. The ramen was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The spicy sauce at sweaty level wasn't very hot so I asked for more and our server brought me a little cup of hot sauce. The inside is pretty basic. On the TV. They were playing Power Rangers. It's kind of far out of the way, but I would come back here again. I was a little confused about parking, because there's a parking garage on the behind the row of restaurants.

Yelp
Need to go back soon, only been there once a long time ago. But can't wait to go back everything was good

Yelp
Best flavors ever! Large portions. Home made huge dumplings. Everything was so tasty. We know Ramen and this is the best in town.

Yelp
Finally, a decent ramen spot!! Coming from CA, I've had some very tasty ramens that will blow you away. This place is not quite up there, but decent and worth coming back to. We started with the fried pork dumplings and pulled pork bao. The pork dumplings were ok, we should have gotten them steamed instead of fried. It may have been a little more tasty if steamed. The bao was tasty as well. Wish it had just a little more sauce to give it that traditional taste. Had to dip my bao in the dumpling sauce. But then again, according to the house rules, Noodle Tree defies traditional The husband and I got the Spicy Ramen Hakata Ramen. Now let me tell you... if you like spicy and can't handle too much spice, I suggest you get a level 2. I like spice but can't handle too much cause of health reasons so got level 2 (kick back level). This dish was very good. All the right flavors and just the right amount of spice. Only thing missing were bamboo shoots. Was a little disappointed to hear that they discontinued carrying it. Now the service. The staff was nice and attentive. They also checked on us every so often which was much appreciated. Be prepared to wait. This place has limited seating. Overall we enjoyed our visit. It was worth the long drive. We'll probably be back, still haven't found a "GREAT" ramen spot yet.

Felix D.

Yelp
The Chef is absolutely AMAZING and always consistent! Ramen is SUPER DELICIOUS!! Everything else is to. Hands down my favorite Place to eat. Vibes are calm and relaxing. Staff is always cool and nice.

Yelp
The Noodle Tree legit has the best ramen ever. I've tried so many other places in San Antonio, Austin, and even Huston but no place compares. The Noodle Tree was close for awhile but it's finally back open as of August 2024. I highly recommend to everyone and they also have a few free arcade games. My favorite is the Spicy Kimchi Ramen level kickback with extra meat ($3.50) Plus they always have classic cartoons and anime on TV to watch as you eat.

Yelp
Ok, you HAVE TO try this place! It's one of those places that are instant classic and once you visit them one time, they will always be on your come-back list! The food really speaks for itself, but the atmosphere, decor, and hospitality really just complete the whole package! First off, for the appetizers, please try the birria bao at least once! Apparently, according to the owner, this was supposed to be a secret menu item, and he used to serve it only for special guests. But if he takes it off the menu now, people will start getting upset, and I can totally see why. The combination of the fluffy bao bun, the tender shredded pork, the amazing cheese pull, and the savory birria sauce is just unbeatable. I remember being so impressed just after taking the first bite! I even just drink and finished the soup on its own because it was just that delicious. At $3.5 a bao, it's a bargain of an experience! Moving on to the ramen! The red miso ramen is honestly the perfect combo of flavor and texture. The soup is rich and complex, unlike any miso soup I have had before. The pork itself is super unique. Usually ramen is well know for their thinly sliced charred pork cuts. However, the pork at noodle tree is seemed to be made from slow-cook process that is either stewing or BBQ, until it's extremely tender and shredd-able. Whatever that process is, it really brings out the flavor of the seasoning and the tenderness of the meat! The egg is also one of the most (if the THE most) flavorful I've ever had at any ramen place; the egg bite almost took me by surprise by how flavorful it is. I've also never had purple cabbage in a ramen bowl before and it works surprisingly well! Also, the restaurant itself is such an amazing place. The dragonball drawings and TV show on one side, the power ranger TV show on the other, and the free street fighter and TMNT arcades just really bring out the inner 90s kid in me. The owner also came to our table side and greet us with the most heartwarming attitude and conversation! If I'm not wrong, this place fell victim to vandalization a few years back and had to be shut down for a little while. If this is true, I'm glad Noodle Tree came back strong because I'll definitely be coming back here for years to come!

Yelp
(TL;DR at the end) Mike Nguyen and his team always delivers some of the best ramen I've had in Texas. The service is always great and I am always met with a friendly face. Additionally, the delivery of my food is always in a timely manner, regardless of how busy they are. Everything is priced reasonably, especially considering the quality of food delivered. Additionally, the establishment has such a nice interior that feels both casual and modern, especially for college students such as myself! They have a mini arcade with a few games if you're interested in that sort of thing too. Overall, a very nice ambiance. My carry-out experience has always been good. I believe you can either call-in or, what I usually do, is order online from their website. My food is always ready at the restaurant by my pickup time on the website. On one occasion, they did not have my food ready yet; I'm guessing they were just backed up that day (which I did not mind). As I waited, the waitress asked if I wanted a complimentary drink, on them. I politely refused, as taking the handout felt like I would be taking advantage of the opportunity somehow (HAHA!), however the waitress later came back and insisted on the drink. Caving in, I gladly accepted the free drink and my food came out no more than 2 minutes after that. Love the staff there! Since I have frequented this location a good amount of times, I have tried maybe half-ish of their menu. So here is a brief summary of each of the items I have tried, to see if you would like any of them! - Hakata Ramen - The most classic of the ramen choices (pictured below). My first time trying the ramen, I thought the ramen was going to be bland since in my past experiences, any broth that was not slightly darkened from the pork bones/tare that goes into them was bland. This ramen surprised me and is one of my favorites. It's not too rich, and has the perfect amount of umami and savory taste to it. Toppings are great too! I always have a soft spot for a good soy-sauce egg and Noodle Tree always delivers! Red Miso - Also one of my favorites. I would say this ramen is saltier than the Hakata and has a deeper flavor profile to it, but is not overwhelming in any way. It is marked V on their menu for vegetarian, which I believe stays true as long as you ask for it without the chashu. Taipei Chicken Curry - I think this is maybe my least favorite ramen. It's still very good if you love curry-tasting ramen. Me personally, I would prefer the Hakata or Red Miso. But from what I remember, toppings were the same as the Red Miso and the broth still tasted really good. Masumi Vegetarian - This ramen CARRIED me while I was going through lents, since I gave up pork and could not have the Hakata. It is made with a soy sauce broth, so you could technically classify the ramen as a shoyu-esque ramen. Such a good flavor, not too salty, and it is vegetarian all-throughout! Don't have to ask to remove anything. Appetizers - Going to put these under one umbrella term. The bao's are all good. My favorite would have to be the Birria Bao Buns, as it comes with Barbacoa, Mozzarella, and such a great dipping broth; love it. The dumplings (as pictured below) were also great and were freshly made. The tare sauce they use is also used with their karage, and it is an amazing sauce that combines saltiness, umami, and sweetness altogether; such a great sauce. The karage, my favorite appetizer to take to-go to eat with rice at my apartment, is also wonderful. The skin is crunchy and the chicken itself is well-seasoned, and the tare sauce compliments it very well. I HIGHLY recommend this ramen spot. I have tried a good amount of ramen shops around the central TX area and this has to be up there in at LEAST the top 3 places. Please go show this establishment some love and one last suggestion, don't be scared of adding liquid rage to any food you get!! I heard it's made in-house and is pretty spicy (depending on the level of spice you want), but has a nice pepper-y taste to it. TL;DR - Great ramen shop located in the Prado Student Living complex that has vegetarian options. Their ramen is good and their karage (fried chicken bits), dumplings, and bao's are all very yummy. Modern, casual, and inviting interior and the staff is very nice and friendly. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Had errands to run today and wanted to grab something quick but tasty before going to Costco...or we'd end up spending thousands of dollars. I remembered hearing good things in here about this ramen shop and decided to give them a try. It hit the spot for sure! We tried the Red Miso Ramen and Chicken Curry Ramen...both were delicious! The broth is super-rich and flavorful, all the toppings fresh and delicious and level 1 spice is just what we needed! The little fluffy bao buns were a nice surprise too...especially the lightly seared Birria ones. The service was quick and friendly, and we were quite full, so that going to Costco did not present a problem any longer!

Rob S.

Yelp
Food is 5 star!! We hav e eaten here 20 plus times and it is by far the best place for Ramen in San Antonio and Austin. Criticism is service since he basically does everything himself with one helper but its still worth the wait. Also- its a little vexing to order online because sometimes it says they are out of stuff when they are'nt and visa versa. Needs better online system. But we still love this place.

Yelp
"Never Eating Ramen Unless it's from Noodle Tree" A few Saturday's ago, I decided to treat myself to some Ramen and was one of the first to enter Noodle Tree. The Noodle had been on my Foodie List for quite some time and with a break in the rain, I decided to grab a quick lunch. The restaurant was located near my home on Babcock and I later learned from the waitress that all customers are allowed to park in the Parking garage located directly behind the restaurant. (street parking is nonexistent). Even though the restaurant had just opened, the smell of curry permeated the air and I knew instantly that a hot steaming bowl of curry was on the menu for me today. Often I write and blog of the Asian delicacies I tried while serving abroad and this quaint establishment, located right here in good ole' San Antonio teleported me back to my time in Okinawa, Japan. The Meal: My waitress greeted me warmly and showed me where to locate the menu. I scanned the QR reader and quickly decided on the Steamed Pork Dumplings, a bowl of Tapei Chicken Curry Ramen and two orders of the seared Pork Bao (2.50 Each). While I sat at the window, a few customers walked in and were quickly seated. My waitress seemed to also teleport herself around the restaurant as she was greeting customers and within minutes I had my Steamed Dumplings and Bao in front of me and when I looked up she was behind the counter assisting the culinary team. All I can say is that those aromas gave me a since of nostalgia. I was blessed to be stationed with my sister in Japan and the first dumpling bite sent me back to our favorite dive in Kadena sitting on the floor, shoes off, laughing on a weekend and shoveling dumplings into our mouths until they rolled us out the door..... (ahhhhh The good ole days) I immediately turned to the kitchen and caught the eye of my chef. He must have caught my look of endearment because he paused for a moment and smiled back at me. I know I'm not the only one, but GREAT food Just makes me happy. The gratitude I felt as the melted cheese oozed out of my Pork Bao. My waitress tipped the happiness meter and provided me with a flavorful drizzle to dip them into. The meal was off to AMAZING start and then she placed that HOT, FLAVORFUL, steaming pool of Ramen in front of me. The slurping was real and the noodles oh so tasty... My only quibble would be that the next time I would place the green veggies (scallions) on the side, as it became more powerful than my Curry broth. I ate as much as my tummy would allow and asked my waitress to pack up the rest. I shared more thumbs up with my chef and thanked him personally for taking me back to my 20's, as a young Air Force troop perusing and eating along the streets of Okinawa. He was most appreciative of my words and I immediately gushed over the line to the twin that when she moves here, the Noodle will be our first place to visit. Thank Ya Noodle or Arigatōgozaimashita (thanks in Japanese) for the Flava, the Love for your Customers and for the Memories you restored of my time abroad. Highly Recommended and come early, I can see why the college kids love this Joint ~ Da Islandgal29412 AKA Ms. Foodie

Yelp
Noodles aren't my go-to type of food, but I was very surprised by how great this place was! Their chashu isn't the typical one slice you receive at other restaurants. Instead, it's shredded, which I preferred. I found that this way, you have the meat in most of your bites as it is spread all over the bowl. The meat was very uniquely seasoned as it was more towards the sweeter side (almost as if it was caramelized). I enjoyed this as the broth itself was salty, so it gave a nice balance. The broth was perfectly seasoned and not TOO salty (which a lot of ramen places tend to do)! The kimchi that was in the ramen was also very good. I loved how you were able to choose your spice. I got the "sweat" option, but I think I could have went spicer! (I love spice and am pretty good with it). Downside was that there was a longer wait time, but with good food comes a busy restaurant! I will definitely be back to try out their other flavors.

Yelp
Having experienced ramen in Japan, the bar is set high for me. I can honestly say this is the closest think I've experienced since that time. Very flavorful broth, perfect seasoning. The dumplings were also perfect and beautifully presented. The restaurant is small and there's a good chance you will be seated bar style so probably not great for groups. Looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Best Roman spot in San Antonio. Hands-down. Absolutely the best customer service and I was treated like family when you walk in. The food is outstanding.
google avatar

Zenith Angel G.

Yelp
The appetizers are great. Funny enough, the noodles don't really hit though. They are a bit off and if you've had good ramen or similar noodle dishes, you'd know that they aren't quite right. For ramen, at least in my experience and research, the broth shouldn't be so muggy. This may be their personal take, but it's not what I expect when getting ramen
google avatar

Eva R.

Yelp
I would always recommend Noodle tree to everyone! It's one of my favorite Ramen Spots in San Antonio! I can never get enough! I recommend their Hakata Ramen with Karage chicken! Oh and a side of liquid rage! They have an online order system so that's good, makes it easy for when you want to place a to go order.
google avatar

Quin B.

Yelp
The parking is on the streets. So ...avoid coming during rush hours. Otherwise this is way better than suck it to me. The broth is more flavorful. I got the Hakata ramen with an extra egg. Their pulled pork is the only thing that reminds me of a Vietnamese dish. But that's ok it tasted delicious with the soup. The pulled pork Bao buns are also good. They're tiny so get like three. Overall, I think the college kids that live around here probably eat here a lot. For San Antonio, this is the closest thing to ramen you're going to get! It's pretty close. I thought it was delightful. Also I was craving ramen and basically inhaled my food. ... and now maybe having a bit of reflux.
google avatar

paulina S.

Yelp
Food was delicious! I personally didn't find the menu prices to be at all bad. Ive seen some people complain about the prices of the ramen but it seems to be with to go orders. My plate was huge and in the end I wasnt able to finish it so its now home with me. I tried the spicy edamame (on the lowest level) and it had wonderful flavor. The "exotic" sodas were good and reminded me of some I've had before so it felt refreshing. And ambiance was nice, think its supposed to be a place thats a bit more restaurant like but has its fun bathrooms. Found it a little awkward that the games were bear the bathroom but it is a small place. The pulled pork bao buns were superb and were so soft biting into them. Only criticism is just maybe organizing the front a bit but other then that it was nice:)

Hailey P.

Yelp
Ambiance will never fail you; from the vibes to the playlist. Not only is the service IMMACULATE, but the FOOD TAKES THE CAKE. Either way, chef and the team never disappoint and it's been a top tier bite and experience since he first opened his doors. THIS IS A SAN ANTONIO MUST. I would say the emperors of ramen here. no picture needed, you just need to get here!
google avatar

Israel G.

Yelp
Definitely they have earned their stars. Very tasty Ramen here. I had the Red Miso Hakata. The meat tasted a lot like birria (treat) the veggies blend well in the broth. The 6 min egg is my New Best Friend, I will order 2 extra on my next visit. I recommend you come here, only for real Ramenians.
google avatar

Anne D.

Yelp
Exceptional quality and flavor! Wow. Had to wait a bit longer but it tasted like it was freshly made to order (which I believe it was) and it was worth the wait! I put a few of the dumplings in the ramen and took it over the top. Took half to-go and was happy to find that they separated the broth from the noodles/veggies/tofu!! How service should be! Care was put into the preparation of the food and the experience you have even when you take out! Beverages were limited. Ambiance was very cool. Check this place out!!

Yelp
Was finally able to try out Noodle Tree! First time we went the place had a huge line so it's awesome we got in cause we heard great things! The pan seared pork dumplings were a 4 out of 5, sauce was so good and overall yummy! Taipei Chicken Curry Ramen 4 out of 5! Broth was so flavorful and overall super tasty! Fire noodles 3.5 out of 5; little too sweet for our liking and not savory enough but great spice level! I would recommend getting extra protein like we did cause it was the perfect amount! Overall the place was clean and comfortable, playing DBZ and power rangers which was great!

Yelp
Hakata ramen is a 7/10 Red miso ramen is a 4/10 Overall i say this is a 7/10 but feel like menu could be bigger

Sue W.

Yelp
Everything tasted great and the owner was very present. Almost felt like a privately hired chef. We would go back. A little tough to find since the phone maps were not dead on, but worth the hunt.

Yelp
There is nothing else I can say about this place other than WOW!! We walked in and were greeted right away, sat a few seconds later. Waiter came and took our drink orders and asked about food, So for a appetizer we ordered the Karaage chicken, he came back with our water and we ordered our ramen. We were surprised when the waiter came over with two Pork Bao, and he said on the house so we said awesome thank you! We ate the Bao and they were so tasty!, the pork so flavorful and the Bao so soft and fresh. A few minutes after that the Karaage arrived, it was beautiful! But it taste so much better! The chicken cooked to perfection, lots of sauce and fresh veggies! Right after we finished the Ramen arrived and again wow! It all looked sooo good! We dove right in and the flavors we perfect, in both bowls! We ate so much till we could barely walk out of there!!! We'll definitely be back to try the Birria which was out when we went.

Yelp
So many good things to say, buns were tasty, spicy edamame was addicting and left our lips burning so good. Ramens we're delicious and we couldn't pick who's was better. These delicious aloha maid drinks were yummy and love that it was something different to be offered. Service was amazing, she was sweet, never making us feel rushed, and she had a great attitude. The place is nice, the music was fun and and just the perfect amount of volume.

Yelp
I walked into what I thought was another small ramen restaurant but I was greeted and sat down with exceptional service! They have an extensive selection of noodles each with unique authentic flavors. I ordered the Taipei Curry Chicken Ramen and it was phenomenal with bursting flavors from the broth and chicken! Highly recommend this place for your next ramen craving!

Yelp
For the starters, the birria bao was slightly disappointing. Not super flavorful and not very cheesy. But the ramen definitely made up for it. The spicy kim chi ramen was super good, and the noodles in the udon ramen were delicious. The staff was fast and friendly. The restaurant had a gaming area as well, with early 2000s arcade games which was so fun to see!! The menu also has several different spice levels to chose from which is great if you love spice like me.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. This ramen place is one of my favorites in all honestly! I have always tried different little shops here in SA and this one is a fantastic one. They have so many options that can have additives as well as different spicy options! That's what I really enjoy about this establishment. I always get the above sweat because it is very spicy because I enjoy the burn as craY as it sounds. I always get the birria bao buns and they're awesome! I have some photos I need to post of the karrage which is always a great option as well. Over all friendly atmosphere and fresh food, try it out!

Yelp
Wow the food here was absolutely delicious!!! For food I give 5/5 stars. The kimchi ramen was absolutely amazing and I will definitely be going out of my way to get it again. The dumplings and bao were also very delicious!! I felt that both the bao plates were lacking meat a little but the broth on the birria bao was sooo good. The reason for the 4 stars is because of the atmosphere. It's was extremely hot inside I was legitimately sweating. We were sat infront of a window which didn't help. The stools were also pretty uncomfortable. And it was awkward to have to turn around to talk to the waitress. The music was also very loud. Overall I loved the ramen so much that I will definitely be coming back. But I'll probably just get it to go next time.

Yelp
I liked Noodle tree. Unassuming space with tasty bites. For appetizer, I got the veggie dumplings and the eggplant bao. Both are very good. For main course, I got the truffle noodles which were kinda sweet but good. Next time here, I would order a ramen bowl. Do visit if you want to have some good Asian fusion.

Yelp
These noodles are the bomb.com! The Hakata ramen bone broth is the perfect base with the perfect amount of spice. The pork meat is tender and delicious. This place may be small, but it's definitely a popular spot. I highly recommend.

Yelp
a quant and fun little ramen bar, with flavors that really pack a punch! Cool anime chalk art on the walls with classics like dragon ball Z playing in the background. One of the unique things about this place is their spice systems. My boyfriend being the spice addict he is recommends the FML, if you can handle it. But me personally & for normal folks with taste buds stuck with the "taste" which is suppose to be faint but honestly got me more than I expected. The spice stings the back of your tongue but I think balances out the original udon as i would imagine it being on the sweet end. There's definite layers to the broth not a soy sauce is bouillon broth combo but layers of flavor to appreciate. The egg included is sweet and creamy (would suggest taking it out so that you don't loose your precious yolk to the broth) the naruto fish cake tastes like nothing and is more for the iconic look than anything. The star of this dish for me is the tempura shrimp! You can kinda tell which places buy tempura shrimp wholesale but this place has their breaded in panko breadcrumbs & is perfectly crispy and juicy. I got to taste some of my boyfriends pulled pork, it's on the grainy side, so tender that it's just materializes in your mouth.. wouldn't be my favorite application for pulled pork. Otherwise a great meal, perfect for a casual date as they have a little arcade section next to the bathroom.

Yelp
Great food, service, & ambiance. Vegetarian Hakata Ramen was made vegan by swapping out the egg for tofu. Tasty pickled carrots, Peas, corn, Purple Garlic Cabbage, and the tastiest burnt garlic oil. The burnt garlic oil totally made this ramen. Absolutely delicious. Will be back to have again.

Yelp
The restaurant is located on the bottom floor of a residential complex and has tons of windows and natural light. We stopped in for lunch and we're seated quickly. The decor is pretty awesome with some anime and marvel character murals...they also had dragon ball z on one tv screen and the cowboys game on the other. Something for everyone! The one odd thing that wasn't a huge deal but was just strange is that we weren't allowed to order an appetizer before our meal. We were told we had to put it all in together. I worked in the service Industry for years and this was a first. What if a party ordered food but then wanted to order something else? Are they told no? And if not, then why have that policy for appetizers? Just strange...but not a deal breaker. Everything was delicious. The spicy edamame was very good...not just hot...so much flavor in the sauce used to add heat. The Birria taco was served with a ramen broth for dipping vs traditional Birria broth and we were blown away at how well the flavors worked. My girlfriend had the truffle noodles and I had the Hakata ramen. They were totally different but neither one was "better" than the other. Both insanely good, totally unique and separate flavors. Portions are more than plenty so no worries there. You'll leave satisfied. Highly recommend, will definitely be back

Yelp
The owner is very rude and disrespectful to his staff, talking to her ugly and dropping F bombs at her. She was the only server managing the dining room that was mostly full. We approached him to let him know it was very unprofessional because we can all hear how he was treating her and that it was not ok, if he must speak to her that way, he should at least take it outside to where no customer can hear him. None the less we were asked to leave while constantly telling him to do better and treat his staff like a human being. The owner then proceeded to slam my husband's hand in the door before he was completely out of harms way causing visible redness and swelling.
