Overall I truly enjoy this restaurant, and the food is the ONLY reason I continue coming back. Food is 5/5 stars no doubt... but the service and ADA negligence of the staff is absolutely uncalled for.
ADA compliance is lacking when it comes to service provided. This has happened on 4 occurrences now and it is with the same little girl afraid of dogs every time. I am legally disabled, and handicapped due to my connective tissue disease, and heart condition. I take a service dog everywhere I go. I am not allowed to be unaccompanied without my service dog, due to my heart condition I can faint at the drop of a hat. My dog gets me to safety before I get to that point. If you are afraid of dogs. Simply remove yourself from the situation instead of arguing with a paying customer.
Multiple times I have been argued with by this little girl that "pets aren't allowed in the restaurant." When a dog walks into an establishment and they are wearing a vest that reads "service dog." It is immediately illegal for her to have opened her mouth the way she did, and attempt to deny us service due to the Americans with Disabilities Act. If our waiter did not step in when he did, my business would have been lost, as well as my entire company's business. We order from here multiple times a week, and I truly do not appreciate the discrimination I faced as a woman with a disability in this establishment. I would have left with my coworkers and never looked back, but definitely would have reported to the ADA and the better business bureau.
Please teach your staff that they need to educate themselves before they harm your business.
I appreciate the gentleman who stepped in when he did, and took us to our table. He was immensely kind, and helpful. Even got my Service Dog Kiana a cup of ice water.
Overall I truly enjoy the food. It is always a wonderful experience, and always so fresh and tasty. No complaints.
Please fix the negligence of your staff at this establishment. Ableism is not flattering, and it makes your business look bad when I come in with other people.
Sincerely,
A woman with invisible disabilities
