Comedian Aparna Nancherla Reads Yelp Reviews for Fun | Eater

"A restaurant chain she’s seen outside her hometown (she’s unsure how widely national it is) that packs many noodle styles and cuisines into a single menu; she likes it for offering all types of noodles in one place, even if the food feels mass-produced and fast-casual, and notes there are at least a few locations she’s encountered." - Greg Morabito

The mac and cheese and spicy Korean steak noodles were both exceptional dishes. The evident use of fresh ingredients enhanced the flavors significantly. Furthermore, the presentation of each dish was visually appealing. Portion sizes were also generous and satisfying. Overall, a highly enjoyable dining experience.

Food Quality: My experience at Noodles & Co. was pretty average. The highlight was definitely the garlic bread - it was amazing, with a perfect balance of flavors and texture that left me wanting more. However, the mac and cheese left something to be desired; it was disappointingly dry, lacking the creamy, comforting quality one typically expects from this dish. Atmosphere: The seating arrangement could use some improvement. The layout felt somewhat cramped or inefficient, which detracted from the dining experience. It's one of those places where you might find yourself wishing for more space or a different setup to enjoy your meal comfortably. Convenience: A word on the parking - it's quite the hassle. The lot isn't designed for through traffic, which can make getting in and out a bit of a challenge. While this isn't directly the fault of Noodles & Co., it does impact the overall visit, making what should be a simple lunch or dinner more stressful than necessary. Overall: Noodles & Co. serves up an average meal with some notable highs and lows. The garlic bread is a must-try, but you might want to skip the mac and cheese unless you prefer it on the drier side. Just be prepared for a bit of a logistical challenge with parking and seating. If you're in the area and looking for a quick bite, it could still be worth a visit, but manage your expectations accordingly.

I was thoroughly disappointed with this pasta dish. The fettuccine was overly oily, leaving a greasy film in my mouth with every bite. The sauce seemed to lack any real flavor, tasting more like a generic, store-bought mix than anything fresh or homemade. The pieces of what I assume were supposed to be chicken were dry and overcooked, adding to the overall unpleasant texture. The herbs sprinkled on top seemed to be an afterthought, doing little to enhance the dish. Overall, this was a forgettable meal that left me wishing I had chosen something else.

I visited this restaurant earlier this week and I have to say the star of the show was the staff! I came in during a dinner rush and the place was packed. Each employee was working hard behind the line trying their best to get the orders out. However, no matter how busy these employees are they will drop everything to help a customer. One staff member specifically represented this all the way during my visit and that would be Kaya! She was busy doing something else and had her hands full when I walked in along with another customer but she dropped everything to come help us. She was so sweet and friendly! She made sure to mark my order correctly when I asked for the gluten sensitive pipette noodles and she helped me figure out how the to go process works because this was my first time at the restaurant. I greatly appreciate her patience and her kindness with me! When it came to the food, I really enjoyed my pulled pork Mac n cheese with gluten sensitive pipettes. However, the pulled pork was slightly dry which detracted from how delicious the cheese sauce and noodles were. On the other hand, the fresh rice krispies here were delicious. So warm, sweet and yummy. I would absolutely come back to try this food again and for the service. Thank you Noodles and Co for giving my family a great meal!

Noodles & Company is a great spot, especially if you’re craving something flavorful and satisfying. The Korean noodles are absolutely top-notch—packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice. The rest of the menu offers a great variety, so there’s something for everyone. Service here is excellent; the staff is friendly, efficient, and always ready to help. The place is also very clean, which is a big plus. Don’t let the negative reviews fool you—yes, they just opened, so there are a few small kinks, but they’re improving every day. If you’re on the fence, give them a shot. You won’t regret it!

The name threw me, I thought it was going to be all about ramen but it was more pasta. Menu was good, great variety. I got lemon scampi with artichoke hearts, lots of great ingredients but I was just kind of bland. I will give them another shot, maybe it was just if that day.

I had a really good experience here today thanks to a lovely girl named Teagan. I ordered a mac & cheese and when I was about to eat it I noticed broccoli and other little specs of ingredients throughout the bowl, I couldn’t stomach to just proceed eating it so I did go to the window and ask them to make a fresh one. She did apologize and explained that sometimes things can fall into the bowl. I told her I understand things happen especially during a dinner rush, and I would just like it remade. She made a fresh one no questions asked, and also gave me a rice crispy for the trouble. She was very sweet and understanding. It is so refreshing to be able to make a request such as this one without the worker immediately becoming defensive, sometimes things happen and if both parties are mature and respectful, both sides can go about their day rather than taking to social media with stupid video recordings, etc.

I ordered a pick up order at 4:30 for 5:30 pickup. I waited until about 5:50 until it was finally ready. The food was cold. Like it had been sitting there for a while before it was given to me. It also wasn't very good. The mac n cheese was meh. I ordered chicken noodles soup, and only the bottom quarter of the bowl had liquid in it. Won't be returning.

Yelp
This was my first time coming to this noodle co location and I'm now hooked. Reason why ? I haven't met such a since down to earth chick in a long time. I came in with my toddler and we know toddlers can't " wait " Teagan offered my 3 year old daughter a coloring sheet while we wait. She was so sweet and understanding I hope I see her next time . She def deserves a huge raise . Thank you Teagan !

Yelp
I've tried a few different noodle dishes here. Most of them were decent, but not anything special. I like the Korean noodles the best. Last time though, I ordered the BBQ pulled pork mac and cheese. I am a big pulled pork fan and while I wasn't expecting anything spectacular from a restaurant that doesn't specialize in BBQ, I found it inedible. It tasted like it was doused too heavily in liquid smoke, and like I was straight up eating a campfire. The smoke flavor overwhelmed everything else. Really unpleasant and disappointing.

Yelp
Clean location as they are new. Customer service 5 stars. They even have a drive-thru! Accommodated our gluten allergy concerns. We have only been to Noodles and Company once in the Arrowhead area. The manager was the same guy we had there who now transferred here. Really nice. I picked up a late night snack surprise for the girls. A gluten-free noodle bowl with Alfredo sauce. Dylan handed me a bag with a friendly message written. I think little things like that are super cool. As far as the Noodles, still underwhelming. One thing they need to do is strain the noodles better so everything isn't so watery. Not very much for just over $10. That doesn't include any breadsticks or parm. We probably paid a bit more for gluten-free noodles. They are cute large shells. Basic and bland. They have a pretty good selection of food on their menu. The girls gobbled them up, but they really don't want to go back. I think they are handy for those on the go who can eat anything on the menu. If you are celiac, eat at your own risk. Our last experience at the other location we had elbow macaroni in our broccoli and our gluten-free shell noodles. I am not sure how serious they are trained and practice cross contamination safety in the back. May be better for those who just choose to eat gluten-free not due to an allergy. I still recommend giving them a try. You might find something yummy.

Yelp
Food was room temperature, got shorted 2 potstickers, serving size was small, garlic bread was so salty we couldn't eat it. Will not return. Way overpriced!

Yelp
We recently moved to Surprise, and as empty nesters, we've been dining out daily, enjoying about 90% of our wonderful local restaurants. So, giving a place 2 stars felt like a huge disappointment. The food here was shockingly overpriced for Arizona and barely mediocre...I could've sworn I was back in California! I'm usually open to giving places a second shot, but I honestly don't see how they could improve so probably won't need to come back with so many other wonderful options. Everything is made-to-order so for it to arrive lukewarm was tough to excuse how can you mess up pasta! The only reason I bumped it to 2 stars was the clean space and the staff's genuine effort. With inflation hitting hard, we hate spending our hard-earned cash on "just okay." Hope this honest review helps steer others toward better dining experiences!

Yelp
They must boil all the egg noodles in the morning. I had stroganoff and someone else had chicken soup. He beef and sauce was good but sparse. Noodles were cold and dry. Wouldn't go back for 30.00 I was very disappointed but the staff was ok and they are not taking cash now. Don't waste your time

Yelp
Accurate. Fast service. Kitsch decor and a lot of people from communities trying to pass the time dealing with bored people who were victims and/or perpetrators of illegal immigration and malicious intent. Warning: Promotes a karaoke bar. Make sure you know enough and have the right legal information and equitable support before you effort as Southwestern any. Nice people who crowded...supposedly...

Yelp
I just want to say that these reviews don't do this place justice. It is certainly not nice Italian restaurant quality, but what do you expect. I ordered the pasta Fresca with chicken, and it was ready within 5 minutes. The service and staff were amazing. People were complaining about watery pasta, and either they were lying or the place has improved since the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The flavors were great. It could've used more sauce, but for $8 it was more than worth the price. It was delivered in a couple minutes and gone in a couple minutes.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time. I've been to one in Peoria years ago. The drive through pick up option was super convenient. The were within a few minutes of the time I was quoted and the service was great. The lady running the drive through was pleasant and nice. I ordered the Mac and cheese with a side of extra sauce. I was a bit underwhelmed by it. Tasted like watered down velveta. Bland and the noodles weren't quite cooked enough it seemed like. Also created an account from the ordering paid but yet by account doesn't show my order so I guess I don't get points since I can manually enter it. Hopefully the next couple of menu items I decide to try will be better.
