I was in the area picking up something from a craigslist seller, and I could help but notice my favorite word in bold letters on the side of this building: "NOODLES" it was like a beacon to me, and I pulled in so fast my breaks probably came off.
I was just eating alone today, and it was probably about 2 o'clock on a Wednesday. They were still very busy for an off peak time, but they were able to find a table for me. The busyness really made me excited, and I took a look at the big menu. They had some of the regular noodle options, like pho and pad Thai and then they also had some different options I had never seen before.
I settled on one of my favorites for an appetizer, chicken fresh rolls, and settled on a "dipping noodle" dish. The chicken fresh rolls were very good, above average then most places. The peanut sauce it was served with was a little sweet, and tasted more like coconut. It wasn't bad, just not what I'm used too.
The dipping noodle dish I got had egg noodles, crab sticks, bbq pork, and ground pork. It also was served with a side of broth for dipping. I felt like I should have done a little research and maybe ordered something else. I really liked the noodles, and the bbq pork in the dish was terrific! However, the imitation crab was served warm, and this was very weird. It resulted in a very gummy texture, and I ended up picking it all out. The ground pork also wasn't very good, and I picked that out too. The noodles and bbq pork still made for a rather good meal, and I'm sure someone else would have like this dish, I just ordered wrong.
My server was very attentive and nice, and helped with any questions I had. Even though it was very busy, my food came out in record time.
I will defiantly return to this noodle joint, because my MIL lives down the street. In the future I will most defiantly see about getting a noodle dish with just the BBQ pork, and I will order some boba next visit as well! I also couldn't help but notice the extensive sushi menu. I will be back.
