Denver’s Best Chinese Restaurants | Eater Denver

"Don’t be fooled by the fast food franchise–like name and exterior — this family-run find excels at homestyle Sichuan fare. In addition to staples like dan dan noodles, ma po tofu, and Chongqing chicken, best bets include the fluffy pan-fried omelet filled with saucy pork; the tangy sour taste potatoes; and the pungent, numbing spicy boiled fish." - Ruth Tobias

While in the Denver area I sought real, authentic Chinese/Szechuan and this place had decent reviews, so I came here. The staff was friendly enough, but the food wasn’t all that great, maybe for typical Americans looking for basic Chinese, but it definitely didn’t meet my expectations. I tried their chicken with serrano peppers and the peppers were tasty and spicy, but overall, no flavor to the dish at all. Their spicy cucumbers were really good though. Overall – Nothing special.

Finally got a chance to try Noodles Expeess. Everything was delicious. My favorite part of our meal was the pork dumplings. The service was outstanding. When I went to pay the woman who helped us was excited to see my beaded wallet and she gifted me one of her own. What a great experience.

Enjoyed our meal and would come back, but would not go out of our way. The eggplant and pork was the stand out dish here. We also had dumplings and Dan Dan noodles. Nothing was overly greasy or salty -- was a big fan of that. Overall this was good Chinese food. Storefront and restrooms are not spectacular but that's not what we came for.

Was super excited to try a new place. I should have walked out once I walked in. The place smelled old and uncleaned. We placed our order i ordered sesame chicken with white rice and order of crab cheese wonton. My manager ordered pork noodles and egg rolls vegetables. The food for one was way too hot. Took forever to cool enough to eat it. The pork or lack there of had 4 tiny pieces of meat. Once my boss stirred the noodles, there was nothing way too many mushrooms, and the noodles were so mushy. The egg rolls were all cabbage! My sesame chicken was ok. rice tasted like the restaurant smelled, and the wontons were impossible to chew. In all honesty, I didn't hear dishes or pans clanking in the kitchen. I'm 100% sure all the food was microwaved! Now that I think about it....from the time the waitress walked back with our order to the time it was on our table was about 8 minutes. Snap! NEVER AGAIN! The worst part is my manager complained, and the waitress said $28.73, gave her her total! Waste of my hard earned cash! Between my boss and myself, we spent almost $60 just to feel sick and hour later!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!

Overall, great place for Chinese food too! There's more than just noodles to this place. The boiled beef (not sure correct English name) and chicken vegetable dishes we ordered are pretty good. Again, like most places, could use more beef in their boiled beef, but the taste is close to the real deal. Plus is that it's a nice storefront with it's own parking lot and guest bathroom.

My favorite spot for Chinese food in Denver. The twice cooked fish, salty fish fried rice, and eggplant with garlic sauce are at the top of the menu for me. The chef and his wife get their Szechuan peppercorns directly from China. There’s a reason this restaurant has so many regulars who come time after time.

The cabbage was phenomenal. Loved everything we ordered (Dan Dan, cabbage and spicy beef). Service was fast, food was fresh and tasted amazing. Will definitely be back to try everything! The menu seems authentic and unique. Was too spicy for me, but so good I dealt with the pain.

I have been here a few times, the eggplant garlic sauce dish is my favorite so far - the Dan Dan noodles and ma po tofu are also excellent. Would be an awesome spot for a group to do a family style meal.
