The ambiance is great. The service is excellent. The food is okay. The wedge salad was excellent …I cannot believe such a simple dish was made so delicious. All of their in house sauces are exceptional. The staff was great and so attentive. A very cool location. Parking is free in the rest of the plaza. Atlanta has spoiled me to look for valet everywhere, but parking here was great and free! There are lots of other bars around and outdoor seating and spaces outside just to mingle.

Noona Meat & Seafood is a hidden gem in the heart of Duluth City Center. This cozy restaurant, with its cool open kitchen concept, offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. One of the highlights of dining at Noona is their selection of fresh oysters. They offer a variety of delicious and fresh options at reasonable prices, making it a must-try for any oyster lover. The wood-burned lamb and steak were also fantastic—cooked to perfection with a rich, smoky flavor that only a wood-burning hearth can provide. Noona is definitely a place I’ll be returning to. Whether it’s to enjoy a glass of wine and some oysters or to indulge in their savory meats, this restaurant has secured a spot on my list of go-to dining locations in Duluth. Highly recommend!

Delicious cuisine paired with attentive and communicative service set in a nice atmosphere: The lamb chops were delicious! The Mussels are also worth a run! Service was slow on a busy night but the staff kept us informed and kept our drinks full which wasn’t a problem. Overall a great experience!

My husband and I came to Noona for a date night, and it was phenomenal. The restaurant’s quaint and intimate atmosphere made for a perfect evening. Nina, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, which made our dining experience even better. We started with drinks—both incredible. I ordered the Strawberry Fields Forever, which was perfectly fruity, while my husband went for the Japanese Old Fashioned, which he found smooth and exceptionally crafted. To begin our meal, we shared the Rockefeller oysters, a standout dish. I had never had them served out of the shell, but we loved the unique presentation. For my entrée, I decided to try something new and ordered the gochujang shrimp scampi along with the kimchi fried rice and a wedge salad. The flavors were fantastic together, and I was thrilled with my choice. My husband opted for their specialty burger, featuring a fried mac ‘n’ cheese patty stacked atop a juicy beef patty with bacon and chipotle ranch, accompanied by a side of fries. He enjoyed the portion size and the unique, high-quality ingredients. We also loved the classic tunes reimagined with jazz, which added a great vibe to our evening. We can’t wait to come back!

Spontaneous Date Night! I can not say enough about our experience at Noona Duluth! We started the night with a dozen Great White Oysters that were so fresh & delicious w/ a Japanese Old Fashion. 😋 For dinner I had the Lamb Shank which you can see below was a large dish served with scallions and mash potatoes. The lamb melted right off the bone. The gravy was the perfect touch to the dish. Seasoned to perfection. My husband had the Salmon w/ Kimchi rice 😍 Delicious is an understatement. Salmon was soft and moist with amazing flavor. We love Kimchi! Kimchi rice was an amazing first time dish. We stayed after dinner for another drink and chat with the manager & bartender who were both awesome. The bartender made me a cocktail with Sir Davis Whiskey. So good! I wish I got her name she was awesome. Now to the atmosphere: warm intimate layout with enough privacy for each guest. Comfy seating with soft jazz music. I made out a few songs that were R&B classics. Loved that! The entire space is a such a great vibe. We did have a little wait for our food but honesty we didn't mind at all. The staff are so efficient & attentive. They kept us updated on our order and with all that they offer with the apps, music, and ambiance a little wait was nothing. Noona Duluth gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 yes 6! Noona Duluth is a must visit resturant!

We enjoyed our dinner at Noona. The location is great, the ambiance is pleasant, and the service was good. The Korean twist to the menu was a nice touch, and we had the grilled octopus, Caesar salad, and steak—all of which tasted good.

Google
Came here to celebrate a birthday and the entire experience was almost like they actively tried to ignore our event. I feel like this place wants you to think it's got an Asian influence but really it's just an oyster bar in a trendy corner. Atmosphere could be good but it's loud and like the menu is an odd collection of things with little cohesion. Cocktails here were in the same level as a chain restaurant. Too sweet, and slow to the table. It's an oyster bar at its core, so maybe because we didn't order oyster we didn't like it. The Japanese old fashioned isn't anything special unfortunately. The kimchi rice is like what I would make if asked and had no idea what to make. Short rib is code for pot roast. The steak isn't going to be cooked correctly and it's going be a step below longhorns. Very disappointing, not sure how this place is still opened.

Google
The food was good, enjoyed sea bass with a side of creamy corn. The collard greens and tomato were under the sea bass and both were well balanced, but not well seasoned. The atmosphere was decent, but because of seating in the back of the house, we left smelling like we just went to a campfire. The smoke penetrated clothing and hair, so that was not pleasant. The drinks were good, cocktails and wine offered a good selection.

Yelp
Food was not edible and service was poor. It took 25 minutes to get a bottle of wine. Ordered the beef short ribs and they were so tough we could not chew them. $360 for dinner and we will never return. Spoke to manager and he couldn't have cared less. So disappointing for a local restaurant that is often half empty.

Yelp
Really want to like this place but can't recommend. Food is subpar, drinks are weak and I got charged $3 for ice in a drink. I will explain more below. Ambiance is great - kinda small but cozy so great for date night or causal stop in while on the square. That's about it for the positives. Food is mediocre. Korean inspired dishes that are weak. The pork and lettuce wraps were bland. The pork was dry over cooked and onions lacked flavor. Got the 14 oz rib eye and it was thin sad piece of meat - over cooked in some spots and under in others. Nice smoke flavor where you could find it but otherwise non-eventful. The braised short ribs were good well cooked dish I'd recommend this if you were here. The kimchi collard greens sounded interesting but it was just kimchi. So disappointing. The drinks were weak. We had the Asian medicine which was ok a bit watery but better than the f-train. Not sure what f-train was but had no taste and watery. I don't recommend it. We ordered a dirty martini. Got it served in a glass along type of ice you'd see in an old fashioned. Thought it was weird but thought they were doing something to be different and non traditional. For some odd reason it was $3 for the ice. We didn't ask for it to be served this way. We didn't ask for ice. Who the hell would it's a damn martini which shouldn't be shaken by the way you stir it. That's why Bond had to say it since it's not the traditional method of making it. Anyway, I didn't catch it until I got home and looked the receipt and I've posted it. I guess they thought I ordered it this way. I didn't. Miscommunication? Maybe but $3 for ice? Guys...come on do better.

Yelp
First of all let me say the staff was all really lovely- I felt like a valued customer from the moment we walked in. Our waitress was super friendly and really nice. The cocktails we started with were fantastic- the strawberry fields forever cocktail was the best! I could have drank a few of these!! Real fresh strawberry flavor. My second cocktail Seoul of São Paulo was also very fresh tasting but it was a bit strong for me Normally I'm not an oyster person, but I heard that they were known for them so when my friend ordered oysters Rockefeller I tried one, and I guess it was good, but I'm still not an oyster fan, even cooked. The seasonings, cheese and butter were very tasty on it though. They don't serve them in the shell but on a plate like escargot style just FYI. Then my friend and I split the arugula salad (the full portion is definitely very generous and our waitress said it was perfect for sharing so they went ahead and plated it separately for us) and it was fantastic, I ate every scrap of leaf and pistachio crumb on that plate! For my entree I got the grilled salmon with spicy kimchi fried rice- lots of great teriyaki flavor and the rice was delicious. I will say it was a bit salty, which is never a problem for me but it would have been for people I know. We were all too full for dessert this time around to have anything else after!

Yelp
I was coming on here to say I will never be returning to noona seafood again me and my daughter went a couple of days ago for a girls night and was very disappointed we had some problems with are food and the manger leon was very rude and disrespectful I don't even see how u could be so rude when all we asked for was a refund cause the food was cold and my meat was still cold and not cooked to my liking after I asked for it to go back the kitchen NEVER WILL BE BACK when my friends ask for a good spot most definitely will not recommend this place

Vic N.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience. We came in on a weekday for dinner. The hostess was short with us and said they don't have tables even though I saw empty tables. I asked about the bar which was empty too and she said it was occupied too. I understand if those were reserved but as soon as we were about to walk out the door the manager ran over to us and told us they had tables available. It sounded like she just didn't was us to be seated. Hostess pretended like nothing happened and proceeded to seat us. I saw other a couple people come in after us without reservations and we're seated right away by the same hostess. The charcuterie was overpriced and underwhelming to say the least. The board was scarce with some cheap crackers and crumbles of cheese.

Yelp
Favorite restaurant in Duluth. This is a perfect date night spot. It's a Korean inspired oyster bar. The food is 10/10 and service is impeccable. Highly recommend.

Lana H.

Yelp
Nice cozy place, food was good, little bit pricey, we have to wait little bit longer to get our main entrance ( stakes) , recommend for special occasions.

Gwen P.

Yelp
For starters, we ordered 1/2 dozen raw oysters & the broiled (classic style) oysters. Raw oysters were good, but the broiled oysters (not pictured) were way over-salted and swimming in butter. The Lamb Pasta did not have as much lamb or gochugaru as I'd hoped, and overall lacked flavor. Wished there was more parm, spice, and that the pasta itself had more of a bite to it. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye steak though, which was seasoned well and cooked perfectly medium rare. Maybe if we'd gotten other dishes we would've enjoyed the food more. I wouldn't recommend the pasta, and would say to stick w the raw oysters instead of the broiled. Grab a cocktail too - they were pretty good.

Andrew D.

Yelp
Terrible food. Order oyster rockafeller and was not how you would expect. Way over salted. When brought to managers' attention, they made excuses.

Queenie D.

Yelp
The dishes my partner and I ordered: 1/2 dozen broiled oysters (rockefeller), Gochujang shrimp scampi, surf and turf, and grilled salmon. The service was a little slow. We had a reservation at 7:15. We got there around 7:10. We did not leave until 9:30pm. Personally, that is just too long to be at a restaurant given any plans to pursue afterward. Perhaps this might be acceptable to others if they truly enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant. It is not a fast food diner. Thus, you spend time here chatting and relaxing without being mindful of the time. Noonas claims to have "cross cultural marriage of dining concepts." However, the food sort of fell short of this concept. I will say that not all of the dishes I ordered did I expect a more Korean twist to the dishes, but even the kimchi fried rice and gochujang shrimp just didn't seem to do the Korean flavors justice. I felt that a lot could be played with and bolder! The rockefeller oysters were better than both my and my partner's entrée. The only thing I liked on my partners plate was the lobster. For a steak, it lacked seasoning. The smashed potatoes are just potatoes, nothing special. The kimchi collared greens were slightly interesting, but we hardly took more than two or three bites of it. I ordered a cocktail, the Asian medicine, and I was pretty happy with the drink. It was just as our server described it to be. Citrusy and refreshing without an overpowering flavor that you'd expect from the name of the drink. I understand that the menu is subject to change, so perhaps we are simply not impressed by these particular menu selections. However, for the kind of price we paid, I'm not so sure about revisiting. At least on my own, I would not go out of my way to eat here. I'd say if you're curious give it a try, maybe someone else will have a better experience here.

Yelp
My wife brought me to Noona for a date night and it was such a treat. Walking in you can see decorated chandeliers. When looking closer at it, it reminded me of being on a ship, but at the same time a hunting lodge which goes exactly the theme of the restaurant. We had reservations, so we were immediately seated. I ordered the Asian Medicine (Penicillin) drink which was very tasty, sort of reminded me of honey mixed with water. We had a gameplan when coming here. We knew what we wanted to try and we stuck to it! Even though we knew that Noona is known for their steaks (I mean, Meat..) we decided for us to try the most amount of stuff we wanted to stick to just appetizers. Thus, we ordered from the appetizers: Oysters (Dozen, half + half) - I believe half were from Chesapeake bay and the other Long Island? I enjoyed every single morsel. Beef Tartare - Pretty simple, came with some bread, but the tartare was mixed in with some mustard seeds and well flavored. Mussels - BY FAR, this is a HAVE TO get appetizer. The bowl came filled, and reminded me of a classic Belgium pot of mussels. I would definitely say that if you were to get any appetizers (other than oysters during oyster season), this would have to be it. The amount that you get along with just the sauce with it to dip your bread in won it over for me. Blackened Tuna - I enjoyed the salsa that came with this but otherwise nothing too crazy. The tuna was perfectly cooked and was tasty. For an entree, we decided to share a braised short rib (that caught my eye when glancing on the menu) and as a couple of sides we shared the cheese corn along with some scallops. The braised short rib wasn't bad, glazed, however the downfall for this dish for me were the carrots. They were absolutely way over-salted, like almost the chef forgot that they had already seasoned it and seasoned it twice. However, the short rib itself was great, bit sweet, but the mash potatoes helped with the sweetness. The cheese corn was pretty great, you can tell that the corn was not from a packet and that they really shave the kernels from real corn. The natural sweetness also bursted out and cut through the cheese. The scallops were also pretty amazing, it was charred and had that nice grilled taste from it. Real simplistic, but it really showed how well it was cooked. Overall, Noona was great and an amazing addition to downtown Duluth. Would I come back? Absolutely, just for those mussels. Definitely would recommend if you want to try out a Korean flair to the normal steak and seafood restaurant.

Yelp
First visit here and we sat at the bar. Food was great. Service was friendly and efficient. We definitely enjoyed everything we ordered, but the standouts were the Ribeye, Pork, oysters Rockefeller and the side of corn. Great space with a good vibe. Was a little quiet due to being a Sunday, but we'll definitely be back! We had a super great date night!

Kimie K.

Yelp
This place is easily in my top 3. I've just had an amazing dinner both experience and food-wise. I'm Korean so I was immediately drawn to the fact that they fused Korean ingredients into their dishes. This is the place where you take anyone that is afraid of trying out a foreign cuisine. They did a nice job mixing high-end American recipes with a touch of Korean inspiration. I have to mention the quality of service I got from Jae as well. She was our server and she was very thorough with the menu, not to mention such a warm welcome she gave us. She recommended a few items, and they were all bomb. I'm definitely visiting again to try out other dishes and hopefully Jae will be there to serve us again! My apologies for no pictures, but I couldn't help with the food cuz they all looked good right off the bat and we had to dig in without a thought of taking photos of it.

Yelp
Can you say ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS?! That's all I can really say at the moment at how delicious everything was. Here's how the experience went: We went on a Thu night and I'm glad we did because it really weren't that many people there. The staff had time to pay extra attention to us which I appreciated. For starters we got the charcuterie board, which had a bunch of different meats and cheeses. Sauces were also on it like dijon mustard. We also ordered the caesar salad. No lie, that was probably one of the best caesar salads I've ever had. As a note, it's enough of a serving to share between 2-3 people, especially if you order an appetizer. Next came out our entrees. We ordered the rib eye with the kimchi collard greens and mashed potatoes. I had a chance to try my partner's greens and OMG were they good. I was very skeptical at first, but it's seriously like a burst of flavor eat them. I'd give them a 9 out of 10. I did not try the rib eye or the mashed potatoes but my boyfriend didn't seem to mind. Now onto my entree, the braised short rib. Listen to me when I say DONT ORDER ANYTHING ELSE ON THE MENU. If you eat meat, you need to order the braised short rib. It was so good, my boyfriend wouldn't stop putting his fork in my plate. The serving is enough for leftovers and again, it is sooooo delicious. I highly recommend this place as it is worth every single penny. I also appreciated how the head chef came out to ensure we were enjoying our food.

Yelp
One of my new favorite places! I love seafood especially raw oysters, so naturally, it's what I wanted for my birthday dinner. We made reservations for an early Saturday dinner and were seated immediately. The place wasn't busy yet, but there were already a few diners there. There's plenty of parking around Parson's Alley. Let me start by saying the service was excellent! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The bar manager was our server and the owner checked on us a few times and even refilled our water. I can't say enough good things about their team! Onto the food. We ordered the following: Half Blue Point, half York River $19.95 Strawberry Fields Forever $10 Asian Medicine $12 The Perfect Pear $11 Hearth Grilled Octopus $15.95 Blackened Grouper $24.95 Market Catch (Crab stuffed Georgia trout) $Market price The drinks are delicious! Both of my cocktails; strawberry fields forever and perfect pear were sweet and refreshing. My favorite has to be the strawberry. I'm not a whiskey drinker but even I enjoyed the hubs' Asian medicine drink, too! The oysters were fresh and satisfied my craving. The octopus app was tender and flavorful. I could have easily eaten three plates of those. Both the fish entrees were incredible. The entree portions were big and filling. Cooked and seasoned perfectly! Since it was my birthday dinner, they brought out a huge chocolate cake after our meal, on the house. Hubs and I have raved about Noona to our family and friends since and we cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
Top level customer service! Our waitress was outstanding and made wonderful recommendations. Noona is a Korean surf and turf restaurant located in Downtown Duluth. It's a beautiful and quaint restaurant with eclectic decor. We had a reservation for 7pm and the host promptly seated us at a cozy table. We started with cocktails: he had the old-fashioned and I had the strawberry fields forever. My drink was delicious but came without a garnish. Presentation is everything to me. My second drink was a lemon drop martini since they were out of moscato. Delicious sugar rim, lemon peel garnish, and strong. We had the oysters appetizer since oysters are their specialty and they mostly originate from The Chesapeake Bay and Virginia region. The oysters were very good! I eat oysters regularly and these were so smooth and silky. It came with several garnish options including: vinegar dropper, horseradish, cocktail sauce, lemon wedges, and a cute saucer of goldfish. I had the scallops as my main entree with a side of kimchi fried rice. The scallops were 4-5 total served on a bed of beans, corn and onions vegetable medley. He wanted the short rib but unfortunately they ran out so he opted for the ribeye steak medium rare. The steak tasted very fatty and I wasn't a fan. To make up for the missing menu items, our waitress kindly brought us a chocolate molten lava cake. It was covered in icing and powdered sugar and it was decadently sweet. I definitely recommend checking this place out and stick with the seafood/fish!

Yelp
I don't write negative reviews because I figure everyone has good and bad days and everyone has the things that tick the boxes for them so I don't want to mess with that. But, I've got to make an exception for Noona because I don't want others to fall prey to this mess of a place. I'll skip straight to the end. It was Applebee's quality food but with service that fell short of Applebees. Food first. My wife had Amberjack which was just fine. No issues here, and nothing exciting either. I had the Strip. It was a very simple cut straight from the cooler at Kroger. Last weekend we dined at Salt Factory which has meats provided by Linz and these were worlds apart in quality. It had no seasoning whatsoever and was a tasteless piece of fairly dry meat but in fairness, it was spot on the medium I ordered. I chose Pomme Frites as a side to the steak and just shook my head, no really, palm in face shook my head when I watched the fry cook slice open a bag of frozen fries and dump them in the fryer. $10 for frozen fries with a cup of mayo on the side. I would chalk this up to a lesson learned except for two things. Our meal, two entrees and one side, and two cokes were $95. I've had so much better at $80 with 2-3 cocktails at so many other places in the northern OTP. Our server fell short of expectations too. I had to go up to him at the bar after he spent 10 minutes chatting up the chefs at the grill station and finally chasing him down another 10 minutes later while he was hitting on the bartender, so I could pay for our meal. I've read lots of bashing reviews online about places that had 4-5 stars and wondered what was up with the 1-star review folks. All I can say is this is an honest review.

Yelp
There is street parking close by the restaurant as well as more public parking a bit if a walk. This is located across the street from downtown Duluth park. The area is really cute for a walk after/before eating! The atmosphere is very cozy upon walking in. We did have a reservation so we're seated right away. All the staff wore masks but I would say the tables aren't very socially distanced given the space is pretty limited inside. Asian medicine: delicious cocktail and pretty strong too. I couldn't really taste the ginger, but could taste the lemon and a hint of the honey. Hearth Grilled Octopus: the flavor was really nice but a bit chewy for my liking. Gochujang Shrimp Scampi: loved it! Very flavorful and good sized shrimps. You can dip the bread into the sauce. Grilled Salmon: the salmon was nicely cooked and paired well with the slightly sour kimchi fried rice. When you eat the parts of the salmon with the chili sauce you can taste a hint of spiciness. Sea bass: melts in your mouth, lightly seasoned, and paired with Brussel sprouts. Cheesecake: was okay to me, I usually prefer the bottom to be more crunchy but this one was mushy. Chocolate cake: very rich in flavor. If you like chocolate you will love it! Apple tart: was a nice refresher between the other two more sweet desserts. Comes with a scoop of ice cream. Service was amazing! Super informative of the menu, great recommendations, and made sure our water was always filled. Would recommend! They are supposedly known for their raw oysters. But since we weren't big raw or oyster eaters we skipped it this time.

Yelp
I happened upon this place on Valentine's Day and waited briefly because we started so late. This is a very charming little restaurant with great service and unique food. I'm sure the regular menu is delicious as well, but for around $65 or so we got: Polenta Kimchi Fried Rice Oysters (3) Flounder deep fried, stuffed with crab Braised Beef Cheesecake and Tiramisu I added a Strawberry cocktail which tasted exactly like a strawberry - I don't know how much alcohol was in it. :D But it was good. All in all we had a wonderful dinner, there are small Korean hints in their signature dishes (okay kimchi fried rice is hardly a hint) and we found everything to our liking. The servings were plentiful and we had some extra food to take home. I'd definitely return!

Skylar L.

Yelp
We came here for Valentines Day weekend and it was amazing. We made reservations in advance and was seated immediately. The service was very attentive. The waiters filled our cups whenever the water was low. The general manager also constantly walked around the restaurant to make sure everything was going well. The oysters were so good that we ordered another dozen after getting a dozen. The food in general is flavored well so that it is not either bland or salty. The old fashioned is also great. It is very smooth and goes down really well. I plan to come here for other weekends because everything was perfect.

Yelp
Let me tell you about Noona! I'll start of with the fact that this was not what I was expecting, in regard to ambiance, however, it surpassed my expectations! The vibe is welcoming, soulful, and soft romantic (meaning, great date night location, but no white table cloths). The wooden charm of the decor gave me the feeling of a secluded boat house in the woods, with top notch food and service! The servers are quite diverse, with the Executive chef and Sous chef being African American and Hispanic. The music selection was Motown and R&B. It was a great space and energy. Me and my date came for our anniversary dinner, we had reservations ahead of time and were seated immediately upon arrival. We started off with wine and cocktails (highly recommended the signature strawberry drink), and appetizers of mussels and oysters. The Parmesan oysters were our favorite. For the main courses, we shared scallops and the pork belly lettuce wraps with a side of the cheesy corn. I don't know what they did to make the cheesy corn so delicious, but I'd order just that and the oysters and be in heaven!!! We finished our evening off with the bourbon bread pudding, and it was scrumptious! Overall, I have no concerns, complaints or qualms. Our server was Braydon and Michelle, who was the manager this evening and both were so helpful, attentive and made for such a wonderful experience!!!

Yelp
Most awesome oyster happy hour. Happy hour is every day, including weekend. I believe the hours are from 4-6pm. And on my visit, I had 2 doz of bluepoints. You may not get bluepoints on your visit, but I lucked out. $1/bluepoint and they were deeeeelicious. I also enjoyed the happy hour cocktails. My old fashion was good, and so was the martini. I guess we lingered a little longer and decided to get dinner here as well. We had a few appetizers, but the most memorable part of the meal , was our Wagyu burger. Beefiness concentrated, on a soft fluffy brioche and , they had bacon jam spread on the bottom. That bacon jam is the magic. It adds a layer of sweetness, smokiness and ups the savory factor by 10. I think I found my oyster place. Noona has the best oysters yet.

Yelp
What a treasure in downtown Duluth!! Public parking right behind it.. there are street parking around but all with such limited parking (one of the cons). We sat out in the patio with our little dog. They open at 5pm and we got there at 5:30pm with an appointment for specifically the patio since we were coming with a dog. Yet, no tables were set up outside -- the host had forgotten we requested the patio. I was kind of thrown off by that, but it was quickly made up by their super nice waiter and of course the food. Wednesday happy hour included a discount in the oyster price as well as a 50% off wine bottles (no one told us about the wine discount though and we found ourselves through the check...). But again, everything was made up by the food.. We ordered the oysters, grilled octopus, duck breast, and scallops! I'm not a big fan of duck, but this was delicious! Not extremely chewy and doesn't have the smell. Flavors weren't too strong for all dishes. Definitely will visit again to try more of their menu BUT I will not sit outside again. Their patio was nice and big, especially since we were the only ones seated outside. But, we realized there was a reason no one sat outside. There were so many bugs around us. Bugs flew into our drinks, I had flies sitting on my food and little fruit flies or gnats and mosquitoes were just flying all around us. Apparently there was a rosemary bush that attracted all the bugs, but it was just too much. If we hadn't sat outside, it would've been a perfect date night.

Yelp
It took me way too long to dine here. But, I will likely become a regular. The restaurant space itself is intimate, lovely aesthetic.. perfect for date night! And, the service.. we felt well attended to by all the staff. My husband and I started with a dozen raw oysters, broiled parmesan oysters (love that you have a choice of the style -- spicy, Rockefeller, etc.) and it comes with French bread for dipping -- yum! Hard choice for our entree but went with their Butcher's Cut Porterhouse, sautéed mushrooms and kimchi collard greens. I was hesitant on the collards but so glad I ordered. It was so flavorful and a delightful combo! We didn't order dessert, but our server was so sweet and gave a chocolate cake with strawberries.. absolutely delicious. Excuse the photos, as some of our plates were partially eaten.. lol

Yelp
Excellent food, but with a slight issue. My wife and I are visiting from out of town and are thinking of moving to Duluth, so we are exploring the best it has to offer. Noona came highly recommended. As we entered, I smelled the wood fired grill engulfing the air. I was excited. I wanted to take some photos, but I was asked to put my camera away. After asking if they didn't allow photos for Instagram or social, they told me they do, but only with a cell phone. Noona would have easily earned 5 stars from me, but I had to dock them a star for being somewhat uptight about our visit.

Yelp
My favorite date night spot! The drinks and food are always on point. Phillip was our server tonight, and was great.

Yelp
Everything was wonderful!!!! We celebrated a birthday and had a celebration for my son departing abroad for a year. The food was spectacular! We started with beef carpaccio, charcuterie, and lettuce wraps. The salmon was delicious and unique. There was something delightful for everyone. And the atmosphere was casual classy and intimate. Our waiter was fantastic!

Yelp
Thought this place was an Italian fusion steakhouse by the name but it is korean steakhouse. Completely unexpected. It was a Sunday night special menu. Ordered the short ribs, the porchetta, salmon, steak off the menu and the shrimp and grits. All was very good. Starts off with rolls and salad. We were party of 5 but bearly had enough salad for us all. The fixed price was 28.00 per person but my sons steak was 60.00. They originally offered us 3 side but we argued that there were 5 of us and we were all charged 28 so shouldn't we have 5 sides? We ordered extra sides anyway. 5/6 sides were the size of a kids side. They were tasty but really tiny. After the mains they said we could have 2 desserts and they were out of the bread pudding listed on the menu. All in all was overrated and not worth their 4+ star review. Ambiance is nice and service was good. Wont be back. Coke in cans tacky.

Yelp
This was my 4th or 5th visit and it seems like they've gone downhill. We were enjoying our time at the city hall and decided to drop in for oysters and wine without reservations. Upon walking in, the hostess decided to seat the pair behind us before seating us (who did not have reservations either). For an establishment that advertises oysters so much, they only had gulf coast oysters. We tried to enjoy oysters on the half shell and some charbroiled oysters which lacked flavor. Service was lackluster as well. We ordered a bottle of white wine and was not offered a wine cooler..never got cocktail forks either. Maybe it was just an off day for them, but I'm not sure if I'll be returning. Good deal on half priced wine though..

Yelp
It's oyster season so we came here to satisfy our cravings. We decided to get a bunch of apps and share an entree. Food (in order we were served): Oysters - I don't remember what the exact oysters were, but they had 2 types available. One were about $10 for half a dozen and the other were $15. It would probably be helpful that I remembered which one was which, since I preferred one over the other. Blacked tuna - This was a light, refreshing dish with the pineapple salsa. Mussels - This was my favorite of the night. The tomato sauce was perfect with the bread. The pork belly added so much to the flavors. I considered asking for a side of rice since sauces like that are totally made for rice. Beef tartare - If I do this again, I would eat it before the mussels. I feel like the flavors went missing after eating the flavorful mussels. It kinda tasted bland. Braised short rib - The meat was perfectly cooked and if there was bones, it woud fall right off it. However, the glazed/sauce was way too salty. It was balanced in the beginning with the mashed potatoes but it gradually got saltier. It was a bit of a disappointment after the great appertizers. Cast iron cheesy corn - Korean cheesy corn that was very creamy. The cheese was super stretchy, and the corn was sweet. Side of scallops - The menu stated that the sides came with 2 scallops, and I guess the chef felt generous because we got 3 scallops. It had a nice grilled, smokey flavor.

Yelp
Noona is located in downtown Duluth right on the main city square. It's surrounded by a lot of local spots that are definitely worth checking out as well. Great location to explore in general. The entire downtown district is worth the venture. So right off the bat. I'll mention this place is a bit on the pricy side which is to be expected for what they are offering. With that out the way, let's see how well they did. First of all, they did an excellent job with their interior design. It's modern and chic without being overly luxurious. Really liked the natural lighting of this place. The menu is a mix of traditional steakhouse favorites along with seafood and some Korean/East Asian fusion. There's also a drinks menu which is mostly beer, cocktails, and wine. All items seem to be sourced from quality ingredients and are presented quite well. They have a daily happy hour from 4-6PM for $1 oysters. Highly recommend coming here just for that alone. They serve some high quality raw oysters here. Overall, I did have a great experience here. You get great service that matches the price tag. Food and presentation was on point and all this while in a nice and cool atmosphere. They really set the tone here. Definitely worth checking out in my opinion. The Meal and My Ratings: -Wagyu Beef Tartare (3/5) -Ribeye 16oz with shiso butter on the side (4/5) -Filet 18oz with foie gras on the side (4/5) -Alpine Bay raw oysters (5/5) -Blue Point raw oyster (5/5) -Hearth Roasted Brocollini (3/5) -Hearth Roasted Brussel Sprouts (2/5)

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. We decided to go for my husband's birthday. I just want to say that it was fantastic. The quality of food was amazing. Everything we had was so good from the oysters to the lava cake (both not pictured). Our server was so sweet and informative. The owners are asian and you can see the small influence on the dishes. I recommend this cute place and looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
Good god this place is delicious!! We went here to check it out since we love oysters! They were great and the duck was freaking perfect- one of my favorite meals I've had!!! The service was top notch and it was beautifully decorated with luxe but also approachable vibes and ambiance! Will absolutely be back soon!!

Yelp
Love the location, ambiance, decor & service here but the foods were not up to par. Salt must have been on sale bc everything was sooooo salty. However, the highlight of the night was the MATCHA BREAD PUDDING!!!! OMG, THE BEST EVER!!!! And our server, Daniel, was super nice & attentive. I wouldn't mind coming back here for Happy Hour or for a drink & dessert! LOL. Such a nice outdoor atmosphere to enjoy the weather & people watching. (:

Yelp
I'm still slightly confused about Noona because it's a steakhouse with some Korean dishes and influence. The quality of food is great, and I don't really want to call it fusion because they don't really do anything too weird, but it's kind of the best of American and Korean cuisine together. This was the first time in a long time that I've gotten a chance to see a more developed part with Duluth. I remember this part of town barely having any businesses 10+ years ago and it even looked like an abandoned ghost town 20 years ago so I'm happy to see its revival with stores and townhomes. Here's what we ate: Grilled Octopus - it's one of those things my husband and I always like to order. When it arrived, it looked much smaller than I expected with portions. It's the right texture without being too hard and the sauces next to it, accompanied it well. Scallops - I ordered this as my main dish and I really liked the daikon served below it because it was slightly soft that it reminds me of the daikon soups my mom would make. The scallops were huge and cooked just right. Cowboy Ribeye - My husband's main dish. In my opinion, it was a little too charred but it's a pretty thick piece at nearly 2 inches thick. Korean fried rice - probably my favorite dish of the night even though it's a side dish. They did a good job of really charring the crispy rice bits in the korean stone bowl. I could foresee myself going to dinner here again alone just to get a cocktail and fried rice. Cheese corn - I LOVE cheese corn at K BBQ, but this was just ok for me. I got a good cheese-pull from this but there were other seasonings added to this that made it taste more Westernized which I wasn't a fan of. Smashed Yukon Gold potatoes with chimichurri - This was surprisingly good as a side dish. The potatoes were really soft that was almost hard to pick up and the chimichurri sauce really gave it lots of flavor. I liked the decor of the restaurant as it's cozy, and it's mid-century modern with a very slight nautical theme. If I had to be honest, it's that this feels like an American steakhouse but with very subtle slights bits of Korean influence. It's not what I expected at all. Service was great and attentive.

Yelp
There were three of us celebrating my friends birthday before a sho at Red Clay Theater. Service was impeccable. The decor is clean, simple and casually elegant. We were delighted with the 3-course special that evening in conjunction with the Theater. Everything was timed so well that we had plenty of time to enjoy our drinks, food and walk to the show. I began with the Japanese old fashioned that went down a little too easy. I had the delicious fresh tomato and burrata salad with a balsamic drizzle as my first coarse. My friend and I had both had the well seared scallops for our second coarse. Rounded out the meal with the massive serving of creamy and sweet cream brûlée. Our meal was so scrumptious and service was impeccable.

Yelp
Really had high hopes for Noona since downtown Duluth is our favorite spot to hangout, but was disappointed. Overall: Came in at 9pm (closes at 10pm) and several items on the menu were unavailable because they had run out, which is understandable. However, we ordered a charcuterie board and they ran out of one type of meat and cheese, as per the server, and instead of telling us before bringing it, they brought the board with less ingredients for the same price. We didn't complain at the time, other than telling the server we would not have ordered if we knew that, but still a bit disappointing (we did get free potatoes that we didn't order or want later so I guess that's a plus?). Ambiance: The server and manager were really nice! Server provided us great recommendations and was really attentive. The one slightly annoying part is, towards the end of our meal when the restaurant started closing, people were pretty rowdy at the bar. A younger gentleman was also smoking a vape pen while sitting next to the manager. I get it, restaurant is closing, but there were still a few other guests inside and it kind of misses the mark in such a small place. Did not expect to attend a frat party and a restaurant in the same night. Food: Appetizers (Oysters Rockefeller and a partial Charcuterie Board) were ok. Steaks (Ribeye and Filet, medium) were, at best, comparable to Outback Steakhouse. Way too dry and generally not flavorful. They do have a somewhat spicy steak sauce that was delicious. Lobster tail was really meaty and enjoyable. Drinks: Were overall ok. They have a somewhat diverse cocktail and wine list. We had 3 cocktails and a beer and everything was good. Unfortunately Noona completely missed the mark in the food department. For the price, we expected better and could have had the same meal at home or any chain steakhouse for much less. We have been to multiple similarly priced steakhouses in Gwinnett and Noona is the only that largely disappointed.

Yelp
I booked a reservation for my husband's surprise dinner and it was a hit. They were very accomplished and kept the communication going when making the arrangements. I was a little concerned about the food due to recent reviews but I had no worries. The octopus was great, especially since it was my first time trying it. I also had the oysters rockerfeller. It was good but I missed it being in the shell. They were out of a few of the menu items which was a little disappointing but imma eat regardless! I had the pan seared duck with risotto and the pork chop. Both very good! We will be back.

Yelp
First time having dinner here. The service and atmosphere was great. I took away 1 star because was the wait time between the end of our appetizer and our dinner was close to an hour and the filet (7oz), not pictured below, was super salty! Not sure if it was the grill used or if the chef added too much salt. That being said, I would definitely visit again to try other items.

Yelp
This place was ABSOLUTELY one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while! The vibe is chill, staff is VERY personable, AND food is fresh with a Korean twist on even collard greens (which we loved)! We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I had a wonderful dining experience at Noona this evening. Noona Steakhouse & Oyster Bar in Downtown Duluth has been on my bucket list of "spots I must go to" and so glad we finally did. I appreciated the Korean homage to some of their appetizers/shared plates. Also, liked the fusion options they had. It was a nice blend of flavors and the best of both worlds. See what I did there? Also, just as a heads up Noona means "older sister" in Korean. Space is beautiful. Love the design and decor elements at Noona from the bar area to the lights to the details covered in the bathroom. Really nice, clean, and classy interior. The atmosphere here is great. This area needed a nice higher end restaurant option without being pretentious, and glad Noona takes that first spot in Downtown Duluth. I also like the outside seating area. Service was excellent. We were a party of 5 and our sever and the Noona team did not skip a beat. Our server was attentive and helpful. She gave us suggestions and guest favorites as this was the first time coming here for our whole party. Food was good! Compliments to the chef and Noona Team! Everything was beautifully and thoughtfully plated. I appreciated that. All of the dishes were fresh and had good flavor. Some of my favorite dishes were the following (so far): Salmon poke Oysters Beef tartare Grilled octopus Cheesy corn on the skillet Smashed gold potatoes with chimichurri sauce-smashfully delicious Steak- cooked perfectly Creme brûlée- legit They have a large drink list and my girlfriends and I got a kick out of the names of their signature drinks. So fun. The mixed drinks/cocktails all sounded yummy. Can't wait to go back for dinner again. Heard they have brunch as well which I'm thrilled about because again, OTP needs to have some good brunch spots so I don't have to drive into the city. Noona is a great new addition to the area. A great spot to take your clients, friends, and family.

Yelp
Service was good. Great night for prime rib. Would recommend for anyone looking for a Sunday spot with no interupsions

Yelp
Hello, I came here for the oysters and was distracted by the everything. I sat at the bar and the lovely and friendly Bartender was very knowledgeable and attentive too! I ordered a bottle of Amancaya wine and the braised short ribs. It comes with creamy and smooth mashed potatoes, stewed carrots and a tangy glazed shallot. The meat was so tender and the portion is a generous chunk of yum. Then you have the mashed potatoes with the glaze sauce as gravy. Really hearty and sticks to your bones kind of delicious meal. I then remembered I had come to try the oysters so I ordered a dozen and they come with so many nice extras, I attached some photos so you can take a look and drool with me! Great experience, good food, excellent service. The grill or something had malfunctioned earlier so it was like smoky den when I had first walked in but those open double doors drew me right in and the delightful food kept me there.
