"Having sold De Loohoeve, Marleen and Jeroen Brouwer moved a little further north to Groningen, where they have given the Theresia Chapel a facelift. The sobriety of the church has been preserved, as have the beautiful stained-glass windows, which are now complemented by a stylish interior design. This is not your run-of-the-mill restaurant: upon entering, you are led through the state-of-the-art kitchen. The couple working side by side in the kitchen have joined forces to better express their creativity. We already know them to be chefs whose originality and sense of inventiveness know no bounds, and here at Noor, they continue to refine their personal style. Their celeriac dish – cooked in a salt crust and combined with ingredients including yoghurt and salted lemon – is a firm favourite with diners. Another tempting option is the Anjou pigeon served alongside the subtly contrasting flavours of blueberry, fried kale and a potent jus infused with ras el hanout. Words like "exuberant", "meticulous" and "adventurous" spring to mind here. That also applies to the carefully devised vegetarian set menu, which showcases "everyday" vegetables. Head to Noor for an inimitable dining experience!" - Michelin Inspector

Splendid dining experience! 👌 From the entrance to when you leave, you are pampered like nowhere else in Groningen. The gastronomic food is as delicious as it looks, and the drink pairings are simply perfect. The open kitchen resonates the intensity and passion of chefs into the stunning dining area. The exceptional service team is always a step away, catering to any of your needs, making you wonder if "no" is even part of their vocabulary. A faultless evening left me and my mother with memories for a lifetime. Thank you, Noor.

Amazing experience! We were sitting on the window to the kitchen and we were able to see all the processes. Incredible how professional they work and how synchronized the team is. The food was spectacular and the explanation of every dish was very enlightening. The pumpkin dish with smoked iced yogurt was the best!

The location is beautiful, an old church with so many original features and a wonderful set-up. The food was also outstanding and beautifully presented, as expected, with focus on sustainability and research. Worth of mention were the 5x celeriac and the amuse bouche. Unfortunately, what left a bitter taste to a wonderful dinner filled with so many flavours and ideas was the service. As a young lgbt couple we felt that we were not shown the same respect and kindess compared to other guests (not by all the staff, some were super) and this left us both quite sad and surprised. For example being rushed out without being able to say goodbye to the chefs or wait for our taxi inside or the fact that some tables were pampered and offered some extras while we were not asked even though we were paying customers like everyone else. Small gestures and kindness go a long way to make a good dinner become memorable.

This is a superbly beautiful restaurant and worth the small detour from the city centre. The food was excellent with some dishes pushing 2* level. Highly recommended.

Great food and service but very overpriced. Similar restaurant with similar food in Groningen you pay 200 verses 600 at Noor.
