The Newest Restaurants In Chicago

"This Korean fried chicken mini-chain just opened a location in Lakeview. Choose from regular or boneless wings in a variety of sauces like sweet chili, garlic soy, or a very intriguing “magic sprinkle” which involves a dry rub cheese powder. And if a bucket of 48 pieces of chicken isn’t enough, Noori has tteokbokki, dumplings, and gimbap, too. " - john ringor, veda kilaru, nick allen

Noori Chicken - A Hidden Gem!** I had an incredible dining experience at Noori Chicken. The food was absolutely delicious—full of bold flavors and served hot, straight from the kitchen. The freshness and quality truly stood out. The customer service was excellent; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. What makes this place even better is that it’s BYOB, allowing for a personalized dining experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu. If you're looking for a place with amazing food and a warm vibe, Noori Chicken is definitely a hidden gem worth discovering!

Google
Noori Chicken is a far cry from authentic Korean fried chicken, but Chicago isn't exactly a stone's throw away from Seoul. I was very disappointed by the sauce flavors, which felt flat and uninspired. However, the quality of the fried chicken was good—it had a nice crunch and texture. If you're just looking for a place to eat an entire tray of fried chicken for a reasonable price, Noori Chicken is a great shout. But if you're looking for genuine KFC, this might not be your jam.

I have been here twice and I will continue to come! Such great food! It is worth the wait. The owner is sweet and a fabulous cook! The spot is clean, beautiful and total k street vibe. I always get rose tteokbokki , a must is the magic fries ( just trust this) , the Kimbap is fire, the bowls are perfect size and any chicken you get is crisp and heavenly!

Google
place is the real deal. I'm SO excited a store like this exists (finally!!) in Chicago proper. It's so much better than the other Korean fast food places and tastes super authentic. Food: 5/5 We got two flavors of chicken, the kimbap burrito, and the kimbap. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and not overwhelming. They were huge pieces of chicken and was worth the value. The pickled radishes it came with were really good as well. The kimbap burrito was the star for me. It's a bit messy to eat having the rice on the outside but man oh man is it good. It was SO filling and packed. The kimbap was surprisingly good. The bulgogi flavor was on point. And the fillings were good. A bit pricey as I would like to see simpler kimbap at a lower price point maybe. Ambiance: 5/5 This place looks like it's out of a kdrama. It's super cute and makes me miss Korea! Service: 5/5 The owner is a sweet lady and the server was very nice. Nothing to write about here I'll definitely be back!

I just stopped in Noori for the first time, and this spot is so cute & fun! Plus, the food is delicious! The chicken was flavorful, crunchy and juicy, and paired well with the rice. The dumplings tasted great too! It’s also authentic - the vibe of the entire place reminds me of my favorite lunch spot in Uijeongbu, South Korea. I will absolutely be back!

Google
Excellent fried chicken. I recommend the supreme flavor which has the perfect amount of spice. If you've tried Crisp, I think you would like this place as well. IMO the boneless chicken here is better than Crisp. Also make sure to get the magic fries. I think they're sprinkled with crack

Google
I was pretty disappointed with the KFC quality here, despite the promising concept and the well-decorated interior that attempts to capture a traditional Korean setting. The tteokbokki was enjoyable with its soft and chewy texture, but the fried chicken totally missed the mark. The crust was so excessively thick - about half of each piece was batter! It literally felt more like eating fried batter than actual chicken. While the space and ambiance might seem appealing, if you’re craving authentic Korean fried chicken, this might not be the spot.

Ok so I only ended up at Noori Chicken because of a pop up event but I'm so glad I went! We had been walking foreve so I got something to drink and something to eat. I got the Butterfly Mango Fruit Tea and it was sooo refreshing absolutely divine!!! I also got the Spicy Chicken Burrito Kimbop and it was out of this world! First it was massive DEFINITELY worth the price, I was able to split it with 2 preteens, and it was delicious!!! I've had a several different "sushirittos" from Chicago to Texas and this is definitely a top contender. The establishment itself was very cute with metal tables and colorful stools. Very comfortable and esthetically pleasing for photo ops. Icing on the cake is the staff was very patient and super nice with everyone. The food came out very quickly as well. There's actually a ramen station in the corner which we didnt see until we'll after we got our food. It was packed and all we saw was the ramen wall lol so we definitely will be back for the ramen station! Icing on the cake

Yelp
We arrived 30 minutes before closing for a quick dinner, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The inside was super cute with simple, yet effective decor and K-Pop playing on the TV. Despite it being close to closing time, they served us right away without hesitation. We didn't want to cause any disruption as they were starting to close up for the night so we decided to keep it simple and ordered the 8 Piece Noori Fried Jumbo Wings with a side of rice. Let me just say, the wings were indeed jumbo! I wasn't sure what to expect, as I hadn't heard much about Noori and it was relatively new to the area, but I can confidently say they exceeded my expectations. The wings were huge! Each of us had 4 wings along with some rice to share, and by the end, we were stuffed. The chicken was cooked to perfection, crispy and flavorful, just the way I like it. At home, we had some pickled radish, which paired perfectly with the wings. Pickled radish is also offered as a side at the restaurant. While we weren't feeling super fancy this time, I'll definitely be back to try the other wing sauce offerings as well as their other menu offerings.

Yelp
Ambiance - super cute restaurant, they even had a mini make your own ramen station Service - minimal staff, order at the counter when you walk in, self serve utensils/water/napkin, pick your own table Food - chicken wings were huge, juicy, and super crispy kimbap size was big, ingredients were fresh

Yelp
The first time we heard of Noori we decided to Uber Eats their boneless wings and they weren't bad, but lost the crisp (unfortunate) because they were covered in sauce (fortunate). About a month later we were in the area and decided to give it another try. The restaurant is cute with Korean scenery painted on the walls. There are plenty of tables, but they are low to the ground and not the comfiest per se. The staff is friendly and attentive so that was a plus. I ordered their Noori Signature Combo, which comes with 4 wings, 3 dumplings, fries, pickled radish, and a drink. For the sauce, I went with Soy Garlic and Chili Soy. I personally didn't find the sauce spicy, but it was a nice heat. The wings were pretty big, crispy and juicy. The dumplings on the other hand were pretty dry and I didn't really taste and flavor.

Yelp
Very clean, bright, and spacious. The wings were huge and extremely crunchy. The soy garlic was great, not too overpowering of a flavor. Supreme was a touch too much and very sticky. They had K-pop on the whole time. Service was as expected, I think it would have been good to have a pitcher of water at the table.

Yelp
Felt like I walked into a local korean fried chicken pub spot in the middle of Chicago! It was not too busy on saturday lunch so the service was fast. The food was portioned well from sides, chicken, & rice cakes for 3 girlies. The rose tteokbokki had a hard boiled egg, fish cakes, & came with 2 dumpling for $13.99. The rice cakes were bouncy & dish overall flavorful with the usual korean sweet taste. We got the 16 piece combo meal with magic fries (added $), rice, & radish. The fried chicken was JUMBO! We were all pleasantly surprised at the size of the wings & enjoyed the flavors. The chicken was crispy & juicy. The sauce didnt overpower or take away from the fried crispiness either. Great spot! Can't wait to see it grow as a business :)

Yelp
Authentic Korean flavors with a small pocha menu. The only thing missing was a Terra or Hite beer. Chicken wings are giant the 8pc is plenty to share for 2 people. We also tried the bulgogi gimbap and soy garlic dumplings. Service was great and nice ambiance.

Yelp
SO GOOD. Me and my roommates are korean fried chicken fiends. This is our new favorite place on the north side (not many places out here, but still.) The 8-piece was more than enough chicken, and the freshness and flavor was FIRE. So good. The ambience was a nice vibe for friends catching up. A clean and trendy Korean style place. The server was so kind and attentive too. Would give 10/10!

Yelp
I forgot to pack lunch for work today so decided to try this place out Ordered online for pickup and food was ready at the time promised. Everything was nicely packed. I got Signature Combo 1, with magic fries. I ordered white rice on the side. Wings were much bigger than I expected. Only finished 2 before getting full. They were crispy and tasted great. I was surprised with the Magic Fries. I liked it more that I thought I would. Both sweet and savory. Would order again! All in all, it was a pleasant experience and I would totally come back again but to dine-in as the place itself was nicely decorated

Yelp
I can't stop thinking about the wings I had here! They were absolutely delicious and I can't wait to come back. The staff was so sweet as well!

Yelp
HUGE wings and great flavors. Definitely the best kbbq wings in the city. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
This place is sooo good. I love their combo with huge chicken wings in soy garlic sauce. Delicious food in a fun setting. The customer service has always been A+. Do yourself a favor and be a regular here ASAP

Yelp
Went for the soft opening today, tried the Soy Garlic and Medium wings. One of the best Korean Fried Chicken places i've been to. Similar to Crisp on Broadway, 8 wings was enough to share for two.

Douglas M.

Yelp
This is not a cuisine I often eat, but the atmosphere and food at this location were superb. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crisp and fresh, and the sauces for the chicken added to the flavors. Just a great spot for a lunch break in the area. I would have liked a larger portion of the coleslaw, perhaps.

Yelp
If I could give it ten stars I would. Decour inside is amazing and unique - I got the tteokbkki and the inari Korean sushi - phenomenal and the lychee tea was excellent. Total gem

Derek O.

Yelp
Unbelievably amazing food. I think this place is better than crisp and bonchon for all of my Korean chicken lovers, definitely is my new favorite wing spot.

Samantha J.

Yelp
The moment you walk in you get greeted with a casual and inviting atmosphere, the customer service is amazing and the food was so delicious! We definitely plan on coming back and bring more people with next time! I recommend the gimbap and the soy garlic dumplings, definitely worth the drive from Milwaukee

Thomas K.

Yelp
Wow! What a great experience with a to-go order from Noori! My wife and split a couple combo orders and we were beyond impressed. Usually I don't expect much from places when they've been open shorter than a month, but this place way out-shot my expectations. These were truly the best wings either of us had in years, they had a great crisp texture but were really easy to bite through, I'd say the dumplings matched the experience of the wings. We also loved both the regular fries and the kind that had the cheese powder. Welcome to the neighborhood and thanks for bringing such a quality product here!

Daron B.

Yelp
This place just opened up, and I have to say it is one of the best tasting chicken I ever had. This waiter named khan is so polite and nice to everyone. The customer service is amazing and I would definitely go here again!!!

Jorie B.

Yelp
Such a cute place! You can tell the owners really put a lot of time into it and it shows. Food was great- I had the gimbap and loved it. The chamomile drink was also delicious.
