Dude... I had the Vant last week and I am still thinking about it. Absolute fuego food cart. Do yourself a favor and try this place. Everything about it was right. The bread was top tier and the pork was cooked perfectly. Might be one of the best sandwiches in town

Google
Every part of this pork belly sandwich is perfect. Other reviews gush over the meat, but I want to praise the underappreciated, the bread. It's toasty, it's crispy, it's light, not too chewy. It holds everything together and lets the other flavors shine.

Google
The Vant…wow. Been wanting to try this place for a little and finally got to. This sandwich was so delicious. Just order it. 🤣

Google
i had La Kochon and it was delicious! i love that they have half sizes bc it's a LOT of pork and very rich. NOLA would be proud. also nice little cart pod with fire pit. wish i'd come here sooner!

Google
These were pretty good Po Boys. I was conflicted between 4 and 5 stars but I think this is a little more 4. The flavoring was a little off and I asked for no arugula and had to take it off. Still would recommend and if the St. John's food cart pod didn't have so many amazing carts, would probably go back. But imo there's a few other carts in this pod better which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Google
Wow! I went there for the first time today and the NoPo The Vant had a fantastic combination of flavors and textures. Most impressive is I had Lardo yesterday, and I think this was better. Update: I can't get enough of The Vant

Google
Wow, just wow. The food was nothing less than amazing. I had the Kochon and I can’t say enough about it. The meat was flavored to perfection and the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness to combine the juices and the texture of the jalapeños and bread to make this one of my favorite sandwiches of all time. I will definitely be back for more amazing tastiness. Thank you for your expert cooking and awesome meal preparation.

Google
Outstanding sandwiches, I especially like The Vant but the others are tasty too. If you can’t decide, get a half and half sandwich, it is a great way to introduce yourself to NoPoBoys tasty deliciousness. You can take your sandwich to go or enjoy the covered dining area with gas fire pit to keep you warm.

Yelp
I live a few minutes away and have driven past but today decided to call in an order on my lunch. The person who answered the phone was friendly and walked me through the menu. I hate having to choose just one entree, so being able to do a half and half gave me a chance to try two items for $15. They were out of the carnitas one, which was my first choice but I chose The Vant and The Bon Poul. I requested heavy sauce bc #Saucekween When I tell you that this was one of the best sandwiches I've had in.. idk my life? Great bread, the meat is phenomenal and I love the ingredient choices for each sandwich. I took a few bites before driving back to work and had to stop myself from trying to eat more at a red light haha Definitely recommend this ne Alberta street food cart and will be back with my husband soon to try the carnitas one.

Yelp
First time and I'll go back as both Vant and Kochon were tasty. Get the Half option 50/50. Vant was juicier as it's pork belly and the sauce was amazing. Kochon carnitas meat delicious but drier than the Vant with great sauce. Both different yet so good

Yelp
Nothing about this truck stood out. The location doesn't have much foot traffic. The food was reasonably priced and the service was quick.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday evening and they were all out of the pork belly and carnitas which meant they only had the chicken (Bon Poul) and vegetarian (El comoté) sandwiches available. Overall i wasn't super impressed and both sandwiches had the exact same seasoning and toppings so there wasn't even any variation to explore other than the protein versus sweet potato. Based on the prior yelp reviews everyone appears to like this place but it also looks like everyone had the two sandwiches that weren't available that day. Maybe I will come back another day to see if the pork sandwiches are all that they've been hyped up to be but I wouldn't go back for either the chicken or sweet potato sandwich alone.

Yelp
Today was a cold day before their is supposed to be snowpocalypse, it was cold and a lot of trucks were closed but the sandwich cart was slinging fire sammiches!!! Had the pork belly sando with herb mayo, I love this sandwich. It's one of my favorite sandwiches in town.

Yelp
It was ok but not my favorite po boy. I usually like classic po boys like shrimp or fried chicken which they didn't have. I went with a half n half ($1 upcharge) of the 2 most popular - the Kochon & the Vant which was shredded pork carnitas style and pork belly. In the pics, the pork belly looked like a bunch of cubed chops but I got several thick slabs and they were kind of dry. The kochon was decently flavored tho could've used a bit mores sauce. Overall was a bit disappointed.

Yelp
My wife and I were celebrating our granddaughter's birthday at this food cart pod in the Northwest part of Portland (St. John's). Portland is a Vegan, Vegetarian heavy city. Nothing wrong with that since my wife is a Vegetarian. I partake in the veggie scene but not the vegan scene. After scoping out the food trucks I saw NoPoBoys. I'm a fan of Pork. They had several sandwiches with Pork. I went with the Kochon (carnitas pork, slaw, pickles, and house sauce). The sandwich was good but could have been bigger. For me, size matters. $13 was a little overpriced. Might try another food truck if we have dinner in the area again.

Yelp
The sandwich was excellent. Don't go if you're limited on time, it took quite a while before getting my order and the service wasn't the best. But I'd still strongly recommend these sandwiches!

Yelp
FTW! Best sandwich I've had in Portland. Everything about this place was a 10 - I highly recommend you try it. Thank you for a lovely NYE dinner

Yelp
Absolutely delicious sandwiches. Always made to order with fresh ingredients. Owner is super talented and friendly.

Yelp
My friend said this was her favorite food carts in Portland so I had to come and see for myself. It was amazing. I tried their signature Po Boy- the Vant with pork belly. No words, left me speechless! After finishing my sandwich, I felt alive. The flavors were well-balanced and excellent. I would certainly come back for more. It served as the perfect lunch option prior to a long adventurous day ahead of berry picking and hiking. The ample seating also makes St. John's food carts the right move for any small AND large group hangouts. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Let me start with the positive: the people running this truck were extremely nice, extremely helpful, and greeted me with a smiling face and helpful answers. I decided to go with their special that day: a shrimp po'boy sandwich. I probably should have asked more questions about the sandwich, as I was expecting a classic take on the po'boy (breaded, fried), but I couldn't quite tell how they had prepared the shrimp for this version (not breaded or fried, but unclear preparation), nor could I say what, exactly, the specific spice mixture was attempting to do. It felt a bit of a hodgepodge. I would also want to point out that this sandwich was $12, which seems pretty reasonable, but (as you can see in the photo), there wasn't much to it. I'm happy to pay $12, but I want that to be something specifically curated. I thought this place was alright. But, truthfully, I'm not sure (when considering all the other spots in the St. John's beer porch) if I'll return.

Yelp
I moved to St. Johns in April and have truly been sleeping on this place. I will admit that I have been cold-weather avoidant and defaulting to places with online ordering for pickup. But yesterday it was Friday and decided to "live it up" and go to the carts. It took about 15/20 minutes to get our carnitas sandwich (which seems like a lot for a sandwich) but after eating it, who the hell cares how long it took. Bread was perfect, carnitas was flavorful, and the shredded slaw was a perfect contrast. My BF said it was one of the best sandwiches in his life. I'll second that. Lardo's meatball banh mi is my only contender. Will be back to try the pork belly one, which was sold out. PS: I read that the owners will be moving so are selling their cart. Please dear lord someone buy it today it can live on.

Yelp
How the hell Can you pretend to be a po boy place and not have a shrimp one? Just ridiculous.
google avatar

Jose L.

Yelp
Doesnt even have a classic shrimp poboy. service was absolutely terrible . Before u can order they basically tell u they only have one item on the menu. Save yourself the time .

Anna B.

Yelp
Best sandwiches ever! We've tried the Kochon, Bon Poul and Vant sandwiches but the Vant has my heart and soul. Pork Belly cooked right doesn't taste fatty and these NoPoBoys know how to do it. The bread is nice and crusty, the pork belly is melt in your mouth goodness, the bitterness of the arugula and the oh so delicious herb mayo makes this the tastiest sandwich ever! Must Try!
google avatar

Michele C.

Yelp
Outstanding! I got the Kochon (carnitas pork, slaw, pickles) and my hubby got the Vant (pork belly, caramelized onions, arugula). Both tasted great. The blend of flavors was spot on and the bread was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Exceeded our expectations! I'll be back...I'd even go out of my way.

Meg J.

Yelp
Best sandwich I've had in a long time! The bread was toasted perfectly!! And the amount of meat in the sandwich is very generous. I love this place bc the food is fresh and tasty! Worth checking out

Yelp
Outrageously good sandwiches. Carnitas were good but the pork belly. My goodness the pork belly. I think about it all the time. I would recommend light on the aioli. But otherwise it was perfect. I can't wait to show other people this amazing spot in St John's.

Yelp
I had the chicken sandwich and it was SO SO good. I'll definitely be coming back and ordering the pork belly. 10/10 recommend this place. The cashier/cook was also super friendly.

Yelp
As a Seattle to Portland college transplant, I was pleased to discover a set of food trucks (including NoPoBoys) was so close to my school. I was even more pleased to discover that NoPoBoys was serving up delicious sandwiches that have become my favorite thing to get for lunch in the area. I've only ever ordered the Kochon, but honestly, that's all I've needed so far. It's porky, it's juicy, it stays together perfectly, it's got great bread, the tomatoes are nice, overall, what I suppose I'm getting at is that it is an amazing sandwich. The most notable thing about is it's balance of flavors, each bite is pretty well balanced and keeps you wanting more. And on top of all that? They're super friendly. Gotta say, it's hard to beat good sandwiches and good service.

Yelp
After having the Kochon( pork carnitas po boy) 5 or 6 times I finally decided to try something else on the menu so I got Vant. It's official, homeboy is a sandwich god. The Kochon is probably still my favorite because that house sauce smacks, what that man does with some pork is magic.

Yelp
I sadly no not have a photo of one of their specials, which was a pork belly, herb mayo, arugula and caramelized shallots. And it was AMAZING!! So good, hope they add that on their menu forever because that was it!

Matt B.

Yelp
fantastic food, got the cubano arrived nice and warm, one of the best sandwiches i've ever had 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Super tasty sandwiches! Tried pork, chicken, and sweet potato. Pork was the fave but we we really loved the sweet potato and that's coming from meat lovers. Amazing slaw and pickles! Good amount of sauce so it's not dry. Great bread and not too much which is often turn off for me at sandwich shops. Great service, too!

Mary L.

Yelp
Delicious sandwiches! I got the Kochon and added the jalapeños for extra spice. Very tasty and satisfying.

Katrina T.

Yelp
We chose this truck among the other equally worthy options and had a pork belly, a pork shoulder, and a chicken sandwich. I had the pork belly and I f I've had a better sandwich I don't remember.

Yelp
Great Food! The Vegetarian Sandwich with the sweet potato was delicious,, will definitely be back!

Lindsay R.

Yelp
I got the vegetarian option roasted sweet potato sandwich called El Camote and it was great, lots of flavor and super satisfying.

Metta S.

Yelp
Just ate the El Comote. It was delicious!!! Bread was great, sauce was great, perfect sweet potatoes - all of it. I'll be coming back, thank you!
