Look Inside Nordstrom’s New Cafe | Eater Vegas

"A 117-seat, full-service Italian restaurant opened inside the third-floor space of the department store at Fashion Show mall by Seattle chef Tom Douglas. The menu ranges from pizzas and pastas to pressed warm sandwiches (“toasties”), sandwiches, and gelato, with some healthier choices like a kale salad, oven-roasted carrots, roasted baby beets, and heirloom tomatoes with burrata; even the mac and cheese incorporates cauliflower as a lighter filler. Pizzas reflect the chef’s bread-focused approach: crusts are cooked at 530°F for about six-and-a-half minutes and then finished with cheeses and herbs, and toppings include fennel sausage, Iowa prosciutto with dried figs, roasted oyster mushroom, and broccoli rabe. Toasties are made on pressed focaccia with fillings such as prosciutto and fontina, eggplant parmesan, and cheddar; a full bar offers beers, wines, and cocktails. Prices cited range roughly from $10 for a Beecher’s Flagship cheddar toastie to $19 for a pepperoni pizza; a dozen gluten-free gelato flavors (strawberry cheesecake to Nutella) are offered for about $4. So happy with this experience. I had an enormous return/ exchange and was efficiently helped by Jasmine in the men’s department- she had excellent attention to detail and made sure my exchange prices matched. Also got makeup with Cyan at the Mac counter and was impressed with her integrity and honesty in her department as well as her attention and focus even though she offered assistance to others. She was so fluid in her interactions. I had so much time left over from these two I was able to squeeze in lunch at the restaurant. Delicious! Excellent staff and experience as always nordys!

I have lived in Las Vegas for over 45 years. My three sisters and I went to have a late lunch at 1:30 to celebrate nephew birthday. Party of four. One ordered soup and bread. Took twenty minutes. Another order came twenty minutes later m. All the time waitress said your order is coming. Twenty minutes later the third order was delivered. She again said your order is almost ready. I am watching food orders delivered everywhere. The waitress approached again and said your order is almost ready. I reminded her you said this to three times before and it us almost an hour. My companions are now done with their lunch. so I cancelled my order. So the manager comes over how can I make it right. I said your time management skills in your kitchen suck. How dare you not serve a four top all at once. I have worked in food and beverage and if they serve table top onr at a time totally unacceptable. Locals do not patronize. We know good service. Never will be back. Not the Vegas type of service we expect.

This particular Nordstrom‘s is now the closest to us in southern Utah so we frequent it on a regular and consistent basis. I really like the layout and I really like the quality the variety in the selection. The employees are very friendly and they’re not pushy. it’s the typical Nordstrom‘s experience that I have enjoyed for the past 40 years of my life.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful my experience at Nordstrom was! It’s the holidays, a busy, sometimes stressful time, but the kindness and care I received here truly made my day brighter. Noosh was absolutely incredible! She went above and beyond to make sure every gift was beautifully and thoughtfully wrapped, treating each item like it was something special and not just another package. Her warmth, attention to detail, and genuine smile reminded me that great service can still come with a personal touch. And then Karina was just the sweetest! She helped me order my Charlotte Tilbury advent calendar with such enthusiasm and made the process effortless. What really stood out was how she offered me her direct line, so next time I want to buy something, I can simply text her and she’ll take care of everything. That kind of thoughtfulness and connection is rare, and I appreciated it more than words can say. In a season that’s all about giving and kindness, these two women embodied the true holiday spirit. Jason showed amazing leadership and patience when working with my large return and getting through a busy hr of returns. Jason did all of this while also giving customers a quick, stress free and personable experience at Nordstrom. She was kind, hard working and clear about the process of the returns while also juggling every other challenge that her job seems to entail during the holiday season. If anyone deserves a Christmas bonus it’s her and her crew that showed equal amounts of patience, kindness and hard work. Karen and Wyatt were thorough and pleasant to talk to while they did their jobs and gave customers their undivided attention when faced with questions or concerns. Their calming demeanors made my time shopping at Nordstrom stress free and went by fast. 2 things that people pray for before going into the mall during the holiday season. Big thank you to these hard working, kind and funny individuals for going above and beyond in their jobs to make both mine and hopefully their days go a little better.

First was the tailor, Judith, who was definitely on top of her game, as she knew how to make the perfect adjustments to make my pants fit right. I hadn't been to nordstrom in so long. I always thought this was the place to go if you want something really special. I was struggling finding what I wanted in other stores, and finally had a chance to go here and they had a much better selection than other places in the formal wear category. Despite the better selection over other stores, I was surprised that the items although nice weren't as maybe fancy as they used to be. Maybe there's an area I missed in the store. I had an amazing person help me in my dressing room in the house of cb area. She was so helpful getting me in and out of dresses, and just had a great positive energy. I ended up finally finding a dress for my reunion. One thing that to note, is that it's frustrating the amount of scent pumped in the air. My hair was saturated with it, and the clothes I bought had to be aired out in my sunroom for a week. I think a lot of stores need to realize after shopping we dont need to smell like a mix of all the stores we enter. Nor do we want our clothes to smell like them. Chemicals that last that long are so toxic, and they should aim at healthier practices. Also their long dresses are all made for models. I didnt see any petite sized formal dresses for shorties like myself. I needed to get my dress altered. I do know they have an alterations department, however I have a seamstress close to home that is more in my budget.

This review is strictly for the men's department. I used to shop at Nordstrom often and even worked there years ago so I know the level of service the company is famous for. Let's just say... times have changed. I understand this store has a smaller inventory compared to other locations, and that's fine the selection is decent for what it is. But the real issue is the customer service, or rather, the mystery of it. Nordstrom built its reputation on exceptional service, but here it feels like it's gone into hiding. I've been here multiple times, anywhere from a quick browse to a full-on shopping mission, and not once have I been greeted or offered help. I usually end up flagging someone down like I'm trying to get a cab in the rain. It's a bit disappointing to see, especially from a brand that used to set the gold standard for service. Now it feels more like "help yourself and good luck." Hopefully management can bring back that classic Nordstrom touch the one that made people excited to shop there in the first place.

Big fan of Nordstrom and usually have positive experiences at the Fashion Show location but today seemed kind of off. I browsed around the store as I normally do, earlier in the day, after about 10 minutes realized that I was greeted by no one that passed by me or offered to start a fitting room. I lugged all my dresses around, still shopping, for another few minutes or so still with no acknowledgement from staff. Maybe policy has changed or maybe guests now see themselves to fitting rooms without assistance..not sure. I really appreciate a positive customer experience when spending money and if not greeted until I approach a register with all my items, I absolutely won't be spending my money there. Luckily there are few other stores in this mall whose customer experience and service is usually great. FWIW, they have their annual sale going on right now and signs all over advertising such. I think in the past they give out coupons too?

Quality/Quantity - My daughter went shopping, but I wanted to check out Jeannie's (Italian cuisine) since we were here. I was told the restaurant is a hidden treasure and I look forward to visiting them on my next LV trip in a few months. My daughter did not buy anything, I mean I did not buy my daughter anything, lol. When shopping here, she usually buys her nice evening formal wear. And I already over bought when we went to the LV outlets... Atmosphere - Consistent. 3 floors, see picture of the directory. Service - N/A. Price - Above average, but that is expected with this brand for the quality and service. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1901, which started out as a shoe store! 1963 - Added apparel when they acquired Best Apparel of Seattle. 1971 - Company went public. 1973 - Nordstrom Rack launched.

Went to the men's clothing department, the other day. There's a superstar sales associate in that department, and his name is Keith!!! I purchased a pair of jeans and 2 belts. Keith went far and beyond to assist me in finding the right merchandise! Excellent customer service! Because of the outstanding service I received, I will definitely return and have Keith help me again, in the future! The department was clean, neatly arranged and organized, and very easy to find any kind of item I would ever need. The selection wasn't bad, either. Highly recommended! Thanks, Keith!

I was just walking around trying to decide on a fragrance as I have purchased so many in the past! This store didn't have what I wanted; Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris(Oud); so I looked around! This is when I came into contact with the humble and enthusiastic Yasmin. She was helpful without being pushy! She was very courteous and helpful in allowing me to sample various Tom Ford scents as I finally decided to purchase an old fav; Tom Ford Vetiver! What impressed me even more was the fact that after my purchase; she made me feel extra special because she provided me samples, etc! This made my day because she made me feel extra special and happy to spend my hard earned money! Thanks again and in the future; when in town; I will definitely be back when I need something else. My go to! I checked in at Valley parking because it is my secret and today they were having technical issues. The was a handicap vehicle broke in the valet parking pass-through area. The valley parks were so accommodating for the people that have been sitting in line waiting to get their vehicle parked..

Went to return a baby car seat I got a few days ago. The cashier denied me and wouldn't give me her name when I asked her but she works in the "customer service area" She called "Stephen" the store manager. To deny my return cause box was open. He claimed it said on the box, which was not but warranty info. Second he showed me a car seat they don't take back on website but it was not even the car seat I was returning. I decided not to argue abt it any further abt it since they were not helpful. I do think they should let customers know which actual items are not refundable when purchased and open. Not lie abt it when returning either and pull up misinformation. Especially a person with a title manager.

This was easily the least efficient staff I've ever encountered at a Nordstrom Rack. I originally asked for help locating an item, but the employees seemed far too uninterested in actually doing their jobs which is understandable, so I placed an online pickup order instead for the item. After waiting hours for it to be marked as ready, I showed up only to find out, unsurprisingly, that nothing had been done. According to the manager, the pickup team hadn't even bothered to pull the item. 0 stars if possible, you'll find a better ran crew in Ross or Burlington.

Here to return 2 fur coats I purchased on line. Was sent around between 3 different counters at the first and second floor, finally got assisted at the second floor, but the staff told me she couldn't process it and sent me to the third floor again. So far, not good experience already as the staff are very cold and seem not willing to work. Eventually made it to the third floor and finally, the only nice and beautiful young lady, KERI, who is very attentive and professional to figure out the staff at the second floor made the mistake. KERI had the manager RUSNA to come up from the first floor to fix the errors. Shout out to the manager, RUSNA, who is so patiently getting to the bottom of the error and fix all the wrongful return and charges. She definitely needs a raise. Simple return but wasted a lot of ppl's time. Might not come back TBH

I came here while in town for a conference and was in desperate need of new bras after being pregnant and nursing for the past three years. The angels from heaven sent Yenny to help me find a bra that fit me right. She knew my size by instantly looking at me and was spot on, it was wild. I think she brought me 20-25 bras to try on to see what I liked and didn't like. I had only planned on only buying one but ended with buying two and threw away my sad lil fitting target bra in the trash while walking away a brand new girly. Yenny was so patient and helpful. I needed a good fitting bra and learned so much for how to fit the bra and adjust it on my body. Such a great experience. Thank you so much Yenny :) I wish I could give you more stars!!

I don't shop at Nordstrom often. On a shopping trip out, I stopped by Nordstrom at the Fashion show mall in Las Vegas to look for a dinner reception dress. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday morning when it opened at 10:00 A.M. The Nordstrom at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas opened in October, 1981. It has a wide range of apparel and accessories. There are an extensive collection of clothing and a variety of styles. Operating hours vary depending on the season and day. You can check the Fashion Show mall at their website to confirm hours for Nordstrom. The dresses were exquisite at Nordstrom. One of the team members, Fay, was extremely helpful! She was able to get a fitting room for us with no problem. The fitting rooms at Nordstrom are outstanding. The rooms are relatively large, with a chair and mirrors. I ended up buying two formal dresses for the dinner reception. This location is at the I15/Spring Mountain, inside the Fashion Show Mall. Parking is free and there are ample amount of spots available!

Went to the shoe dept and asked for Chanel but she was not working that day. John helped me and he was just as awesome! There were so many employees just walking around talking amongst themselves but not John. If you had a shoe in your hand or was anywhere near him, he offered to help. He brought me soooo many shoes that fit the needs I was looking for and at no time did he seem irritated. He spent time prepping the shoes that were laced but did leave me to try the shoes on comfortably myself. I think he can read the vibe of someone wants to be hovered over or not. I ended up buying 3 pairs instead of 1 that I was looking for. I have difficult feet needs and he brought so many perfect shoes in different styles that I could not pass them up. The shoe dept was also clean and organized.

Nordstrom located at the Fashion Valley mall is large updated and has all the newest fashion selection of dresses. This is one of the best Nordstroms if you need a dress. I found plenty of items to try in but it did take awhile to find anyone working the floor. Once I found someone they were friendly and helpful. The dressing Rooms and store is clean making this one of my favorite Nordstroms.

I've shopped here as a local & tourist. It's one of my favorite Nordstrom locations with a great selection of merchandise. I went holiday shopping & received excellent customer service from the cosmetics department. I told them what I was looking for & my budget and it was a pleasant shopping experience. All of the staff were friendly & helpful, thank you so much. Special thanks to Victorio for assisting me. You can find him at Tom Ford in Nordstrom. He was so sweet & calm while applying a sample foundation & concealer to match me. My friend shopping with me complimented that it was the perfect shade & Victorio did this quickly (5/10 min) since he's also a professional makeup artist who also works in LA. He also found several holiday gifts to expedite my shopping since I came at closing. I finished shopping in 30-45 min. The cosmetics team is great & it seems they help each other to find products the customer is looking for. I can count 3-4 other salespeople that greeted me, asked if I needed help & would let me know other products/prices. I was worried I wouldn't finish shopping since I only had an hour, but I'm impressed with this department. Victorio also packed me bags, boxes & tissues for gift wrapping into a tom ford bag. Appreciate the little things, especially on Xmas Eve & coming in near closing time. THANK YOU!

I was hoping to find a Ralph Lauren suit here, but the section is mainly sports wear. I did find it at another store, but was unable to get the alterations done there. With my Nordy alterations benefits, I'm having the work done here. Sally, a lovely tailor, took my measurements carefully and marked my suit. She said it would be done next week. I have two pairs of Homme Plissé Issey Miyake pleated trousers that need hemming. She said bring them in. So far, it's 5 stars service!

Yikes! I've never seen this before. But the shoes were worn and stretched out. The straps had been removed. And there were scratches on what was supposed to a pair of 1,200 Louboutin shoes. It's not funny, but at the same time it is. Only because this has to be a joke. I've never seen such trash delivered from a company. Anyway, I'll never order "high end" shoes from Nordstrom again. The manager scheduled to have them picked up. I will be getting my money back. No receipt in the box.

I called ahead to see if they could do Tux measurements. They told me they did and I need to come down so I could get fitted for an upcoming wedding party. I have been a lifelong customer both here and occasionally at Nordstrom Rack. 20+ years. I got down to this location and they told me they couldn't do measurements unless I was buying one of their suits. I said I was willing to pay for the measurements and the wedding party already had a tux place everyone was required to provide their measurements for. They said they couldn't help me. I will not be returning. Go to Men's Wearhouse or literally anywhere but here. Waste of time.

Visited the Men's dept at Fashion show in Las Vegas and was swarmed with salespeople like vultures trying to get credit for my purchases which was super annoying, but not as annoying as getting back home to Atlanta to discover that they failed to remove a security tag from my t-shirt (yes, they punish their customers by placing security tags on even t-shirts). It was an $80 t-shirt which is now going in the garbage since the only remedy offered when I called customer service was to direct me to their nearest location (50 miles away and at least 3 hours to/from my house). My last time shopping at Nordstrom and if I can save someone else a terrible experience, then hopefully this review is worth my time. It was a Vuori shirt and I will be calling them next to let them know how poorly Nordstrom represents their brand.

3 stars only because of customer service! I love the company especially with their amazing credit card and return service. However not all Nordstroms are the same. There's specifically 2 very special locations in California that have top designer items and the others have some designers. This location did not hold a lot of top designer bags. When I went today to return 2 designer items, I got a little push back and I do not like that none the less, it's fine I'll just complain. I'll still do business with them till I switch over to Bloomingdale's or something. The customer service ppl sometimes think they know better, while others don't mind just providing service.

*This review is specifically for the Anastasia Brow bar service they have within the Beauty department. My track record at Nordstrom's has been quite frankly, trash. However I'm happy to say I left my home state to visit another one, and everything was great! I had an appointment at their Anastasia Brow Bar where I met Kyle Steria. While I was in town, I figured I might as well have them done since it's been well over 6 months so I was long overdue. I wasn't sure if they were open at first (I was able to make appts in CA but glad I called to verify because they were NOT open after all) but being in Nevada, this was no issue. I arrived slightly early for my 5p appointment, and although the store was pretty quiet, Kyle was right there ready to go. Although I've seen them at different locations, I've never actually had a service at the Nordstrom brow bar; here at Fashion Show, they do them right out in the open. I've seen some locations with slightly hidden partitions which blocks the client from the rest of the public area, but since it wasn't busy, I didn't mind. Kyle was great to talk to; maybe it's because I feel I haven't had a full-on conversation in so long, I was rusty but he made me feel comfortable, and it didn't hurt that he had a great sense of humor as well. He walked me through what he was doing during certain moments but I completely trusted him to do the job well, and he did. COVID FYI: Masks and face shields are worn by the technician during your service. Obviously, you keep your mask on during the session. I will be happy to return here when I'm in town next and due for an eyebrow fix. Thank you Kyle!

I worked with the store manager Pat and customer service coordinator Brittany to surprise my wife with a "Day at Nordstrom" to celebrate her birthday. It began with Pat surprising my wife at Ebar and buying her coffee and wishing her happy birthday. Melissa the beauty department manager and Brittany approached and escorted my wife to the Bobby Brown counter. There, we met Dylan and Melissa T. to begin the makeover. The experience couldn't have gone better. We were then treated to lunch. The food was excellent with Haley making sure everything went perfectly. Before leaving, my wife opened her gift box and was overwhelmed by all the samples. Thank you Nordstrom for making my wife's birthday such a memorable experience!

This is my go to store for most of my clothing, shoes, and beauty. On this trip I needed some retail therapy but ended up buying a new pair of sandals. I needed up find a real cute pair, tried them on and instant love. The store attendant was very helpful to me getting the size and style I wanted. Then she even rang up my order too. The staff is always so friendly and highly professional here. The store here is three levels and the layout of the store is very well lit and open. The organization of the store was very well laid out too. I especially love that a customer can order online and pick up the order in store and get it sooner. The technology is changing how you pay for your purchases by having POS machines in hand to make paying easier for customers.

When Jasmine moved from the fashion valley store to Las Vegas, I was sad but she promised she would still take care of me and that she does. She is hands-down, the best asset that Nordstroms has, and I am still a customer because of her. If you ever go to Nordstroms, ask for Jasmine, not only will she take care of you, but she will treat you like family.

Stylish fashion. Moderate to high prices. This is a Full Service store vs. more common self service stores (like JC Penny's or Target etc.) with helpful staff. Extras like gift wrapping are free. Fashion Square Mall: located right on the Las Vegas Strip. But very popular with locals. I'm keeping this review brief because everyone, I think, knows about Nordstrom. This is the location to visit because it lives up to the Five Stars!!

Nice entrance upon walking in & around, everything is clean & not cluttered. I love the Nordstrom's Cafe & the Tomato Soup, which they sell by the jar. The jewelry section no longer carries my fav Bony Levy or Origins in the make-up area. The shoe selection seems to have gone down hill, along w/ the third floor Juniors section, by the cafe. I really like the second floor where there is a small counter towards there door to pic up hidden gems or jewelry, purses & scarves that are unique! The employees are always friendly & helpful.

Two Words: Becoming Macys But worse. Nordstrom used to have a lot of the more well designer brands and now it is starting to feel like Macys. Except worse! Why? Well, the service is lackluster and I have had better service at Forever 21. Not knocking down on F21, because I get my shades there. We were at the perfume section and I was actually looking to add a new perfume to my collection. A SA was helping another lady, saw us, and ran straight to us (in the middle of assisting someone else). I asked to try a perfume. Then, he started to give diff perfumes for my friend to try. Ignoring me. OkaaaaAAaaay?! After spending 5 minutes to assist my friend who wasn't even going to buy. He asks me what about what I want. Because I think he finally realized, she ain't buying! I asked to try one and he just waltz right back to assist the lady he left. Jo Malone SA was rude as well and so was Le Labo. Never going to this Nordstrom as I see quality/service has decreased tremendously!
