Noreen - Review - Marylebone - London - The Infatuation

"It’s hard to read Noreen’s menu and not picture yourself eating slow-cooked short rib hummus and sipping an Arabic Coffee Martini on the scatter cushion-sponsored terrace at this Marylebone spot. Middle Eastern dishes aside, there’s also an exciting cocktail menu from Mr Lyan. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Sinéad Cranna

I visited Noreen Restaurant this evening and had an absolutely wonderful time. The food was amazing every dish was full of flavour and truly exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying a great meal. A special shout out to the front desk girl, who was incredibly helpful and sweet. She made the check in process so easy for us and set a welcoming tone right from the start. Our waiter was also fantastic. He gave us excellent recommendations on what to order and really made the whole experience even more enjoyable with his attentive and friendly service. Overall, I had a great night at Noreen Restaurant and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

Everything at Noreen was delicious. The short rib hummus was amazing, the salad was fresh, and the kebabs were full of flavor. The absolute highlight of the day was the fish, perfectly cooked and unforgettable. The only downside was the service, which felt a bit slow and made us wait quite a while for our food. Overall though, the quality of the dishes was outstanding and definitely worth trying. I’d definitely come again and hope for a faster service.

Got the hummus with meat, one of the rice dishes with lamb shoulder, fattoush salad, cardamom bun, tuna tamarind and a date cake with Saudi coffee. All the food was really nice, meat very tender, fattoush salad was delicious, cardamom bun was the nicest thing. The date cake was amazing and the coffee served us about 6-8 cups for two people. The service was amazing even though the lady was the only one serving tables, she did not disappoint with her service. Loved it

I came all the way from Cardiff just to try their special winter drink with their cake, and it was so worth it! Mohammed, who makes the custard, served me, and he was incredibly accommodating, generous, and genuinely made the whole trip memorable. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of good vibes. And the custard? Absolutely amazing! I’ll definitely be bringing my friends here soon. Thank you so much, guys!

I visited Noreen with my boyfriend, and we had an amazing experience. The ambience is simple and elegant, and the service is outstanding with genuine care for customers. The whipped spicy feta is to die for, and the spicy prawns are just as impressive ( sorry not on the pics) . You must try the fattoush salad! It was so fresh and delicious. Portions are pretty big , the food is delicious, and the whole atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Visited with family on 30 September. Waiting staff seemed to be confused about how the menu works. We were shown starters followed by mains on the menu but in reality everything arrived at the same time which was a bit annoying as we had ordered the flat breads as starters. The one thing that did arrive late were the chips! Also staff didn't tell us what was not available on the menu until we tried to order, which should be an absolute no no. Customers need to know if something isnt available as they will be making choices on other dishes to go with what's believed to be available. Food was very good and very tasty but felt was a tad expensive for what we had. I wasnt really impressed with the 'chip sticks' that were strewn all over a couple of the dishes. Serving staff did their best to serve us but they may have been understaffed at the time we arrived which was early afternoon. It was rather cold in the restaurant but they kindly closed the bifolds which didn't really improve it all that much as they kept the front door open... they have tables outside so I guess they needed to keep doors open. It was quiet and rather dark inside not sure if it livens up in the evening.

My experience at Noreen was absolutely incredible honestly, it’s the best restaurant I tried during my entire trip. The food was delicious, with such a warm, comforting taste like something your grandmother would make with love. We ordered hummus with short ribs, beidjan, meat kibbeh, musahab, prawn hamseh, and fattoush.. every single dish was perfectly made and insanely tasty. What really stood out to me was that the chef personally came to our table to make sure everything was to our liking, and that level of care says a lot about the place. The service was excellent too Diana was kind, cheerful, attentive, and had such a lovely spirit. Thank you all! I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place without hesitation.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. We ordered hummus, fattoush, tawook, saffron rice, falafel, and Coca-Cola. The hummus didn’t taste fresh — it seemed more like it was made from canned hummus. The fattoush and tawook were just average, nothing that stood out. The saffron rice was undercooked, with some grains still hard. They also forgot to serve the falafel, and since we didn’t notice right away, it wasn’t included in the bill. The seating arrangement was uncomfortable and lacked privacy, with tables placed too close together, making it difficult to move around. Overall, the experience didn’t meet our expectations. We don’t plan to return and wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Our overall rating is 3 out of 10.
