Google
Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully executed dishes. We enjoyed the yakitori chicken skewers, blue crab, unagi, and 5-piece sashimi. The quality was excellent across the board. Cocktails were unique and well-crafted; both the Umami Old Fashioned and Sake Pina Colada were standouts. Service was attentive and friendly, and you can tell the chefs take real pride in their work. The only downside is that seating is all bar-style and not the most kid-friendly setup. But if you’re looking for high-quality sushi and small plates in a modern, intimate setting, this place delivers. Highly recommend for date night or a food-focused evening out.

Amazing quality food for a really good price! My husband and I celebrated our wedding in Hawaii and visited the Nori bar during this time and really enjoyed our time there. Not only was it some of our favorite hand rolls and sashimi, but the staff’s service was amazing. We were especially impressed by the attentiveness and quickness of the hand rolls chef! Everyone was so kind, making for an overall 10/10 experience.

This was our first time dining here and it didn’t disappoint. Service was excellent friendly staff and food was even more amazing. So good sushi I really enjoyed. The quality of each dish is definitely there so fresh so tasty so bomb. Ambience is good, cute small counter top dining. Seats are limited reservations are recommended. Plenty parking available in ward parking structure.

P We ordered delivery from this sushi spot, and it was absolutely fantastic! Every roll we tried was bursting with flavor and incredibly fresh. We ordered six rolls in total, and each one was delicious in its own way—carefully prepared, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented, even through delivery. The fish was fresh and tender, the rice was well-balanced, and the combination of ingredients created a delightful mix of textures and tastes in every bite. Not only was the sushi flavorful, but it was also very filling—we felt satisfied without it being heavy or overwhelming. The attention to detail in each roll really shows the skill and care that goes into their preparation. The delivery was prompt, and the food arrived in perfect condition, which made enjoying it at home just as enjoyable as dining in. Overall, this sushi exceeded our expectations. Every roll was a treat, and we will definitely be ordering from here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned sushi delivered right to your door!

Google
My bestie and I did the Omaske (forgive me as the spelling is likely wrong) experience which is $80 a person. Absolutely worth it as it gently fills you up and takes you on a delightful sushi journey that ends with green tea ice cream. Absolutely recommend for a special outing out catching up with a friend or celebrating a special occasion with a loved one as all the fish was fresh and delicious. 13/10 will have again! Some of the dishes I had are pictured below some of them were way too good to wait to take a photo of. P.S. Be sure to make a reservation as the bar seating is limited

I would never recommend anyone visit this place, they operate like a fast food chain and simply didn’t give a single drop of care for us. I did send my concerns to the owner, and I received back a chat gpt generated response with em dashes and spaces. The owner did not address or explain about the time situation, their chat gpt response simply stated “we will investigate within our team”. They also gave us tips on how to save money by ordering directly through their store (no thank you, you will not receive a single order from me). Used to be a regular customer, bringing in lots of friends and guests. Lately, we started being treated “less”, and we have noticed the pattern. With time, the service got worse and worse. Not greeted, never given menus (we had no idea it was happy hour until another party next to us mentioned it), mainly ignored, and most recently, kicked out of the restaurant early as we were eating because they had “the next party waiting”. We are not blind, we see how you treat us. We had a 3:45 pm reservation and arrived shortly before 4 pm. Instead of the 90 minute dining time listed on OpenTable, we were pressured to leave at 4:50 pm and had to pack our food in the middle of our meal for another reservation. We were rushed, repeatedly asked if we were done, and never given a proper welcome. We only learned about happy hour from another table, and the menu was provided almost an hour later when we asked for it. They took off “$4 happy hour shots” as we gulped them down because we were rushed as a “sorry”. This was not the first time we felt overlooked. On several visits, other guests received warm greetings and complimentary items while we were ignored. I was even skipped on complimentary edamame while others received it. We used to be loyal regulars from the day Nori Bar opened. I remember one of our first times was chatting with one of the chefs who told us about his music writer career and where they purchase the fish. We let him know that we live at Ward and would visit the Nori bar all the time. I enjoyed Nori bar in the past. But after repeated poor service and a disappointing, impersonal response from the owner, we will not be returning or recommending this place again. We are not welcome there, and it’s sad. You can find amazing fish, service, and vibe elsewhere. There are so many other incredible places in Oahu. For sure we won’t be spending our money at Nori bar ever again. It’s actually pretty expensive, and being treated like crap is not worth it.

Google
This is probably the best spot in Hawaii for hand rolls. I can’t think of another place as fresh or as good as this. Watching Des work was amazing, and finding out she’s from Kauai made it even more special—I haven’t met many people here from there, so I really enjoyed our conversation. The staff is super friendly, and I love how everything is handled through the app—from ordering to paying—it just makes the whole process easier. The pricing is on par with what I am used to in Waikiki, but the quality and portion here is way better, which makes this my go-to place outside of Waikiki. I’m really glad I came.

Mark M.

Google
We came in for Happy Hour. The poke trio was some of the best poke I’ve ever eaten. The fish was fresh and the service was excellent! You sit at a counter and order using the QR code. It reminded me of the sushi bars in Tokyo but with a modern spin. Definitely worth stopping in when you want a quick bite!

Yelp
Food was excellent. I had the chirashi bowl and miso soup ..... everything was fresh, tasty and a great portion for the price. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.

Yelp
Great food Great packaging for the sushi rolls We ordered the 4 roll set that included Blue crab Maguro Avocado ( love that it was slightly creamy) Cucumber This is our second time coming here and will definitely continue.

Yelp
We ordered takeout from Nori Bar and were a little nervous that the quality and flavor wouldn't compare to dining in--but it was absolutely divine. If it tastes this good to go, I can only imagine how incredible it is in person. We tried the six-roll sampler (crab, hamachi, salmon, scallop, and ahi), along with several hand rolls, a poke bowl, and the 12-piece nigiri set. Every single item was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Highly recommend! I noticed the dine in option is fairly small, so if planning on going, make sure to have a reservation or some time to wait! The inside of the restaurant was clean and modern.

Yelp
Don't forget my Hokkaido Uni and Ikura! Thanks. A newer made to order hand roll sushi place located in Kaka'ako. Nori Bar is actually a bar! A small place with bar seating only. It can sit about 12 or so. It's located on Auahi St, next to Tonkatsu Kuro, on the further end of the street that's currently a dead end with a couple of condos under construction. Can park in the Whole Foods or Ward Theatres parking structures and walk over. Even though it was bar seating only, there was a good amount of countertop space for food and drinks, and the seats are spaced out well enough where you're not elbowed your neighbor all the time. The feeling and atmosphere was quite comfortable and spacious. I liked the bar was a wrap around. You can see the sushi chef prepare everything and easily interact with everyone. Order via QR code menu by ToastTab. Sometimes this is more convenient, but wow, they have a lot of options on top of sushi and sashimi with bowls, ramen, starters, drinks, desserts, and etc. Definitely needed a minute to decide--cause I wanted to order everything. The Happy Hour Sashimi Set is an excellent choice to try a bit of everything. It consisted of king salmon, ahi tuna, hamachi, ahi tataki, spicy tuna Negitoro, and Hokkaido uni and ikura. The quality of the sashimi was acceptable--a bit less than what I expected. Ahi tataki was fresh and good, but needed a sauce as it felt dry. The sushi was awesome. This was the best item in the set! Nice prepared and seasoned. The Uni and ikura was missing when it first arrived. Kinda weird to serve a small bowl with only one Shiso leaf lol? They were good! The Hamachi Carpaccio was very good. Fresh, buttery hamachi with nice sweet, soy sauce. I liked the addition of the thinly sliced jalapeño and leaf of cilantro that added a touch of spice and herbaceousness. The mini pork belly udon was good. Simple, clean broth with a nice, fatty piece of pork belly with wood ear and Choy sum. The Wagyu hand roll was okay. Wagyu could've been torched longer and needed some salt. Hokkaido Scallop hand roll was good. Fresh, sweet scallops, but the sauce was too light. The Umami Mushroom hand roll was very good. Earthy and tasty mushrooms. The King Salmon Carpaccio was excellent. Slightly torched, topped with a tasty chili sauce with fried garlic plus the raw onion slices below it made it a delectable bite. Overall, it was a good experience. Nicely prepared food and rice. Crispy nori. Quality seafood. Beautifully presented. Excellent service. Friendly, informative, and attentive. Acceptable prices. Comfortable and intimate atmosphere. Will definitely come back to try more things!

Yelp
Nori Bar offers great quality sushi and dining experience for people who want to dine in as well as take out. Located in Ward, the restaurant is right next to Tonkatsu Kuro and parking can be found in one of the many parking structures in Ward. Our office decided to get lunch from here and we ordered their Box Sets To-Go. I was so impressed with the packaging for their take out boxes which included a small dish to pour your wasabi and soy sauce into. I ordered their 5 Roll Box Set and chose 1 Spicy Ahi, 1 Spicy Hokkaido Scallop, 2 Blue Crab and 1 Yuzu Kosho Scallop. While it didn't look like a lot of food, it was quite filling and the seafood was so fresh and delicious. I'm definitely coming back and will try dining in next time!

Yelp
This review of their order on-line experience only.... First off I love being able to order online on TOAST.. i ordered a 6 variety box with 4 pcs of each flavor. It costed $31 and ordered 2 more hand rolls for a trial of $45. Every piece was fresh and delicious, not too fishy and the rice was not so vinegary. It was packed super cute with condiments and a few pieces of edamame. It took them literally 10 minutes to make my order at 5:00 pm in a Sunday night. We will definitely be ordering online more often during busy week nights when I can't be bothered cooking a full meal. These boxes could also be great potluck items in a pinch. There are no photos because my teenage boys devoured all of it in 5 mins flat.

Yelp
Such a cool handroll sushi bar experience. Sitting at the counter made it even better -- watching everything being made fresh right in front of you. The handrolls were delicious, crisp, and perfectly balanced. Great vibes, great food, and a fun, interactive way to enjoy sushi. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
My friend and I made a reservation for dinner because she really REALLY wanted the truffle ponzu sauce and wouldn't go to any other sushi place. Even though we had a reservation, it took a while for us to be seated. I think we were seated about 20 minutes after our reservation time? Nori Bar has intimate seating so there aren't too many spots and its relatively quiet inside. Everyone has bar seating and the chefs prepare the rolls right in front of you. I ordered a few hokkaido scallop rolls with yuzu kosho and the truffle blue crab handroll. We also had a hamachi carpaccio to share. The hokkaido scallop rolls are so nice and fresh, this was definitely the highlight of my meal. The truffle blue crab handroll was a little too creamy but it was still nice. She wouldn't share her truffle ponzu sauce so I had to get my own and it was definitely worth it because it's really good! I really like that Nori Bar also lets you choose the amount of rice in your rolls as well. I would definitely be back!

Yelp
We Loved and enjoyed the happy hour specials, $4 beers, and DELUX SET $34!! The service was amazing, thanks to Susanna and Iku San!! Definitely coming back soon!

Yelp
I ordered the 5-roll build-your-own set from Nori Bar Hawaii we got blue crab, 2x spicy ahi, ume shiso cucumber, and tamago. Everything came so fresh and beautifully packed! My son loves it so much, he couldn't stop eating! The rolls were super tasty and the presentation was adorable with the "Let the good times roll" box. It came with soy sauce, wasabi, ginger and a little edamame on the side. Such a fun and easy meal to order! we'll definitely be getting this again soon :)

Yelp
By far one of my best experiences at a hole in the wall sushi place besides getting on omakase at other places. You can't go wrong with their happy hour and tbh that's what we came here for but realized shortly afterwards although there are quite great things on there. Their menu itself was great as well. They do have a QR code process to order food but after it's all said and done when wanting to pay at the end of your meal you can combine any checks together be fore check out or pay your tab alone when done. All in all everything here tasted delicious there is really no bad choice on this menu. Anywho if in the area and wanting high quality seafood look no further then nori bar I'm most certain you won't leave disappointed.

Yelp
Came here during lunch time (post 1 PM, so probably after the rush). We were seated right away and it looked like there were 4 groups in there. The host was so friendly and brought out our waters and edamame right away. There isn't a bathroom located in the restaurant, it'll be on the corner where Dean & Deluca is. If you'll want to use the restroom, you'll have to ask the staff at Nori to provide you the code. You'll have to scan for the menu but the drink menu is provided on the table. We knew what we wanted and ordered a set of the 4 hand roll and a set of the 6 handroll. The hand rolls were pretty big and filled with amazing fish and seafood and so we had a few leftover which we boxed up and took back. You're able to combine checks at the end, just let the staff know! I can see why this place is popular and would come again for quick eats!

Yelp
Nori bar was fun! We passed on the rollmakase so that we could choose which rolls we wanted. Hokkaido scallops will always be my fave but the wagyu was also up there! Unique Japanese drinks too
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered their poke bowl and 4 roll set special online. 4 roll set special contains spicy ahi, king Salomon, hamachi and cucumber roll. King salmon and hamachi are our favorite: and we can eat rolls in our own way with their condiments. Our medium poke was truffle salmon: it was good too. Their sushi rice is great too. Although they say the order is ready in 15 minutes, it might take longer when the store is overcrowded. Yet we enjoyed all our orders, so we will definitely try other boxes. Thank you very much for a delicious dinner!

Yelp
Lovely hand rolls in this quaint cozy bar in a gentrified neighborhood. Hand rolls are different and the ingredients here provide a delicious sushi experience. Dine in (with limited space) or take away. We dined in. So fun. So chill. So modern, yet so simple. We really love Nori Bar!
google avatar

Jannet L.

Yelp
Fresh fish, super crisp nori, delicious rice, friendly service - all good things about this place. All counter seating, order using phone (convenient in some sense though maybe challenging for others), only one sushi chef slows down orders, and pricy - easy to spend way too much since pace is unpredictable similar to that ginza onodera kaiten sushi place. Lunch without alcohol was $60/person. My favorite roll was the scallops with yuzu kosho and I liked that you have the choice to get less rice. The quality and flavor of food was really excellent and why I'm not giving this a 3. The price, the lack of bathrooms, small space with slower pace of food coming out may be enough that I'm not likely to go back. If I lived in the area, if it were faster, then I could see myself stopping by for a quick two to three rolls and a drink after work even at that price point.
google avatar

Lyn L.

Yelp
A friend gifted us a beautiful sashimi platter from Nori Bar Hawaii - Ward. The sashimi is beautifully presented, nice selection and included the extras... fresh and delicious! Perfect for any special event or just a treat! Thank you!
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
As a big fan of seaweed and rice, it only made sense to check out Nori Bar. The service was great--friendly and efficient--and the vibe was casual and easygoing. Given that it's a nori-focused spot, I had high hopes for the seaweed. For the most part, it delivered--sometimes crispy and flavorful, but at other times it turned soggy a little too quickly. So, kind of a hit-or-miss situation there. It's a solid place if you're craving sushi rolls or nigiri--fresh, quick, and no-fuss. I was in the mood for something more filling, so I went with their chirashi bowl, which was decent but didn't exactly blow me away. Overall, it was an okay experience--quick, easy, and satisfying enough. Just a heads-up: the space is pretty small, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you're planning to go during peak hours.
google avatar

Janey L.

Yelp
My review is only for Nori's Japanese breakfast set. They only offer breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays 8:30am-10am. After we arrived Honolulu, we came here both Saturday and Sunday for their breakfast: salmon and Ikura, hamachi Kama and sashimi. All were delicious. The restaurant only has about 10-12 high stools sitting at the bar. Luckily, we didn't have to wait during breakfast hours. You can also order alcoholic drinks in the morning but we opted for tea, which was delicious.
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
Free parking at whole foods. Walked in about 30 minutes before breakfast ended. Got sat right away. We ordered via the QR code. I got the gyudon and my husband got the salmon ikura with metaiko. Also ordered hot tea (free). Food came out pretty quickly. We agreed that the salmon ikura bowl was better but the gyudon was still tasty. Miso soup could have been hotter The breakfast also came with me, some pickles, tamago, and nori. The mentaiko was good but not worth the extra $5 for the portion size. I think next time I eat here id like to try the ramen or udon.
google avatar

Jess C.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place! We'd previously been to Gohan, which has a limited menu and a few tables, way more casual. This spot was a completely different vibe, with a modern feel, bar seating only and chefs making food to order right in front of you. Everything was delicious, but I have to give a special shout-out to the beef fat egg yolk rice. I'm trying to watch my cholesterol, but the fact that I licked the bowl clean is a testament to how good it was. I also really enjoyed the scallop roll, which might sound boring, but it's a sign they can deliver on even the simplest of dishes. Honestly, everything was just so good you can't go wrong. I can't wait to go back. Just be sure to make reservations; it was tough to get a seat even on a weekday.

Yelp
One of the best sushi restaurants in the island. It located in Ward next to Tonkatsu Kuro. You can park at Ward parking spots. There're around 15 bar table seats in the restaurant. Interior looks very clean & bright. I tried their sushi rolls in their regular menu and everything was so good and fresh. This time I came for their newest breakfast menu. Prices around $17-22. All set came with Nori, tamago & Miso Soup. Salmon & Ikura set (10/10) - big portion and the Ikura doesn't taste too fishy. Salmon flakes are good. Perfect match! "Sashimi Set (10/10) - it came with 2 pieces of Hamachi, 2 pieces of Salmon & 2 pieces Ahi. The sashimi tastes soooooo fresh. Highly recommend. Tonkotsu Ramen (10/10) - made with black garlic oil. I added extra egg and the char Siu was very tender. I enjoyed my meal and my parents felt satisfied on their food as well. I'll definitely come back again.
google avatar

Bethanie C.

Yelp
For the only hand roll sushi bar on island, this is pretty good. This and LBD are the only ones I know with blue crab hand rolls reasonably priced. My friend and I came here this last time as part 1 of our dinner. I got a cocktail and the hamachi Kama and she got the scallop and salmon hand rolls. The hamachi kama size for great for the price $15! It just took a while compared to the hand-rolls to be ready. My friend enjoyed her hand-rolls. No wait when we went and we walked in.

Yelp
Took my friend to Nori Bar for her birthday lunch and we loved it. The ingredients were fresh and everything was prepared right in front of us. We did end up ordering more than we could finish because the dishes looked so good, but the quality made it worth it. The space is small with only counter seating and the staff were really nice. They brought my friend a matcha ice cream to celebrate her birthday which was really sweet. Ordering and paying through the QR code was simple, and the location near Ward makes it convenient. Overall, a solid spot for fresh, made-to-order sushi in a casual setting.
google avatar

Yelp
I made reservations on OpenTable for 11 am. We were the first customer there. Only sushi Bar. The food was delicious. Hubby wants to go back again because the fish was fresh. We enjoyed the sushi and the sashimi. The services are great and it's a clean locations. There's lots of parking. Go check it out.

Yelp
There is an understated entry. Enter the ramp when you see the tonkotsu place keep going you will see Nori bar. The place is a modern bar style with 8-10 seats...I didn't count. Why do you need a complex menu with pages and pages when you have the simplicity of delectable food. So good I find myself dropping in for a roll or 2 when ever I'm in Kakaako. Fresh and flavorful. Let's start with the MUST: the truffle kanimiso crabroll - this can only be ordered dining in. I also enjoy the Hokkaido scallop with yuzu kosho that you can option for spicy mayo. The A5 wagyu roll is another worthy try. You know ...just get them all! You can also get a roll or nigiri set to go. The packaging is thoughtful to have a place for your sauce options. Staff is super nice and the chef is so personable.

Yelp
Mad good. The spicy scallop and the New Zealand king salmon are bomb asf. A little on the pricy side but worth every penny.

Yelp
The sushi roll sampler platter for takeout looks amazing!! And it tasted pretty good. Its a lot for one person so I shared it. Next time Ill try dine in, but the line is kind of long. Looks like a nice place to dine in. Its located in the Ward area so parking in the theater area is convenient.

Yelp
5 STARS TO THIS REMARKABLE SPOT! This morning my Fiance and I brought her parents to eat the NEW breakfast at Nori Bar! This new service started this weekend, and from now on they will be serving breakfast on Saturday's and Sundays at 8am-10am. The staff were super nice and the food was amazing, they always have good music playing in there too and everything was super clean! I had the Hamachi Kama set and it came with a lightly fried Hamachi collar, tamago, Miso soup, rice, takuan, and a side of Nori sheets. The Hamachi was so flavorful and seasoned to perfection, the skin was very crispy and the meat under was super juicy and flaky. The tamago had that classic sweet taste and went perfectly with everything else. And when you put it all together in a Nori Sheet with the takuan you get a beautiful mix of exceptional taste and sensational textures! [Disclaimer!! I would not recommend trying to enter an establishment before they open! We just got very lucky! :)] We live very close to the Nori bar and we decided to walk there this morning, we got there a little bit before 8am and the staff greeted us welcomingly and let us sit inside at their bar while they finished opening, they even let us order too before 8! The staff was very attentive and super nice the whole time, we hardly had to wait for our food and drinks and were able to enjoy it in peace at their nice and clean bar listening to their great music. After our fantastic experience it's a no brainer to give Nori bar 5 stars! From the amazing staff, clean space, and fantastic food, they hit all the points. Will definitely be back and you should definitely come too!

Yelp
Oh my goodness the food and drinks are fire . The nigiri flight, Wagyu premium roll, and pork cheek are my fav. Sake pina colada is bomb as well. Great service from Annabelle and chef D as well as the other staff. Love the vibe and energy great for date night or just the boys.

Yelp
A delicious, comfortable roll-makase experience!! The restaurant itself is very small & cozy, with only bar seating available. It didn't feel cramped at all, and we loved the ambiance. We got the roll-makase, with I believe 8 courses for $60. Their portions were quite generous, we left feeling so full!! They packed a good amount of fish in the rolls, and the quality was phenomenal. I loved not having to think about what to order, and just trusting that every item would be amazing (which it was!) It was my friend's birthday, and the staff was so kind to gift her a yuzu sorbet with a candle!! We had such a great time, and for $60 I really feel that we got our moneys worth. I need to try their cute takeout sets next time!!
google avatar

Inna U.

Yelp
Yesterday my husband and I had a date night at Nori, and the experience was absolutely amazing. We ordered the omakase, and it was truly the best choice we could have made. Every piece was incredibly delicious, and the selection and quality of the fish were outstanding. The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail made the whole evening unforgettable. I definitely recommend Nori to anyone who appreciates high-quality food and great drinks.

Yelp
Always so good. I've been there many times now meeting my friend that lives close by. It seems that Dez is always my sushi chef when I'm there and it's always consistently delicious. She's so nice and we love going. It's now my go to sushi spot. And I'm super picky. I must love it a lot cause I'm driving from Kaneohe to be there almost weekly. Sorry didn't take any pics of the food, just the bar.lol

Yelp
Fresh, fast, clean, tasty. It's convenient to order with QR CODE. My only coven is menu prices are not same as app price.
google avatar

Kahea M.

Yelp
This is my favorite sushi restaurant and a cute date spot. I have tried almost everything on the menu but the two that really stand out is the blue crab roll and hamachi carpaccio. There is very limited seating so I would definitely recommend making a reservation.
google avatar

Cheryl B.

Yelp
Made reservations on open table same day. Arrived shortly before they open at 11am. There's about 15 seats sushi bar seating and you scan the QR code to place your order. We got the taste of ward special (the chefs special) which was $60 for 6 pieces of nigiri and 1 6piece roll. The sushi was so good and fresh. Also ordered the white peach soda which I loved. Got to taste the sake Pina colada which was really yummy too! Paid through toast tab which was really easy to do.

Yelp
If you're looking for a little bit of a different type of sushi experience, make a reservation and come here. Soooo good! Came here last week and had to go back to try some more items. Today, I added the GOLDEN EGG and A5 MIYAZAKI WAGYU. Ummmm the golden egg is so good, had to order an additional one... haha, don't judge me! Another must try for anyone coming here is the BLUE CRAB - TRUFFLE KANIMISO. I like that you order your items right off your phone and can add items mid-meal. Very convenient. Get a little adventurous and grab a seat at this cool little spot!

Yelp
Decided to give this place a try on my lunch break. I was blown away by every aspect of this place! The online ordering is super easy and convenient. The menu has a really good selection especially for takeout. I got the 4 roll set special that has 4 different types of rolls and comes with sauces and edamame. The price and quality is totally unmatched! I felt like the quality was so amazing that they definitely could charge more but the fact that they don't, shows good ownership. The takeout packaging is also perfect. The sushi and sauces are package so conveniently. The ambiance is cool. Very laid back and clean. Most trendy places that have cute packaging, truly suck and are just for the aesthetic but not here! They're delicious, not a ripoff, and aesthetically appealing! Can't wait to try dining in here!

Yelp
Sushi bar. Bar seating only. Fresh and flavorful sushi that melts in your mouth. Unique and smooth cocktails. I cannot wait to try them all. Allergy friendly... even for those with fish allergies. I ordered the chirashi sushi bowl. They made it gluten free with a couple tweaks to the dish. My other half selected a crab roll as well as a salmon roll with some added goodies. Gluten free soy sauce available upon request. Free parking around the corner.

Yelp
Craving sushi on a Friday night so me and my gf decided we'd try something new. We just wanted something quick and casual so we called in an order to go. The presentation, even togo, was nice. Good quality box, sushi didn't shift. Came with a generous side of condiments as well. The quality of fish, rice and nori was absolutely perfect. Fish was lean, fresh and had a delicious flavor. Some of the best sushi I've had in years. In really excited to try more things on the menu.

Yelp
Perfect for small group dining as each counter stool has its own order and payment system, so there's no awkwardness splitting a bill. The rolls and dishes come out so quickly and oh-so delicious! The staff are super attentive, and will even offer new nori if the one you were served gets a little less crispy after waiting too long to eat it. Never been offered that before! So sad we just moved from Oahu - sorely missed! The roll takeout boxes are super cute and good for a small gathering of friends.

Yelp
We made a reservation, which is highly recommended because there is limited seating inside. The seating is only at the bar area, and I don't remember exactly but I think there were only about 20 seats. They start you off with some edamame and you order using a qr code at your seat. I got the spicy ahi hand roll, two seared salmon nigiri, and a blue crab hand roll (not pictured). The salmon nigiri was my fav. The fish is definitely high quality, but I felt that the spicy ahi was not spicy nor sauced enough. The blue crab was my fav hand roll there. The service was amazing though and it was great to see the chef making the sushi right in front of us!

Yelp
The hand rolls were so good. They're super generous with the fillings. Service was really nice and fast as well!

Yelp
I've ordered takeout three times; each visit the sushi arrives as fresh at home as it does straight from the kitchen. You can place your order by calling or online via their website; your build-your-own 5-roll box is ready for pickup in 20-30 minutes. What we tried - 5-roll build-your-own box, starts at $26 - Includes edamame, pickled ginger, wasabi, and house-made shoyu - Kizami wasabi side available for $2 extra Rolls we tried: Blue Crab, Maguro, Spicy Ahi, Spicy Hokkaido Scallop, Yuzu Kosho Scallops. Upcharges: Hamachi & Unagi +$0.50; Toro +$4.00 Quality & Convenience - Rice is perfectly seasoned; nori stays crisp - Fish and toppings consistently fresh I highly recommend Nori Bar for a quick, customizable, and fresh sushi fix at home.

Yelp
Decided to come here for lunch. Reservations were made easily on open table. We were the first customers there and were directed to the back of the restaurant. We were given water, instructed to order through the QR code system and if we had any questions feel free to ask. We actually did have some questions but the waitress was no where to be found. We finally just made our selection and ordered, then the waitress comes out of the back kitchen. We decided to order the omakase, which was $60. Which we thought was a good price for omakase. It included 4 fish sushi, 1 picked cucumber, 1 mushroom hand-roll and green tea ice cream with mochi. I thought the sushi was just ok, nothing special IMO. The green tea ice cream didn't have the green tea taste and the mochi was more of a jelly type cube with kinako powder. I have mixed feelings about this place and not sure if I'd come back.

Yelp
I made a reservation at this intriguing place after walking past it several times. I was on my way to see Becoming Led Zeppelin at Ward Theater. Nori Bar opens at 11am and I was seated at Table 7 (the 7th seat at the bar). There is a card with a QR code, and you order food using the app ... It knows you're at Table 7. Being my first time, I ordered a Sapporo Reserve beer ($6) from the "chef". A plate of gari and edamame was placed in front of me. I figured out the app and started ordering food. I ordered the Special Nigiri Flight ($38), but the chef presented me with the "regular" Nigiri Flight ($26). Five pieces of sushi were seared with a blowtorch, a sauce was brushed on, then presented on a stone platter with the chef explaining what each piece was (salmon, Hamachi, and three types of ahi). Each piece was delicious, though I wish they weren't seared (I should have read the description more closely ... It did state aburi.) I ordered three rolls: Blue Crab - Truffle Kanimiso ($9), Hamachi with shiso leaf (7.25), and A5 Miyazaki Wagyu ($15). The Blue crab came unrolled in a wooden tray. It was seared and the texture was creamy, very homogeneous in composition. It tasted fine but wasn't what I expected. The Hamachi was rolled, and it was fine. The A5 Wagyu also came unrolled, I suppose to allow you to view the meat. This one was terrific. I wanted more food, so I placed an order for the 5-piece sashimi set and I selected Hamachi ($16). I waited and waited and waited. I finally asked the chef, and he said sashimi comes from the kitchen, he just does the sushi. After an interminable wait, I got my dish and powered through it quickly. The slices were generous but too cold. At that point, I decided to not order any more food even though I was still hungry. While I was waiting for my sashimi, I checked my bill on the app and found I was charged for both the special sushi flight and the regular sushi flight. I asked a server, who told me she fixed it in the back, but the app never reflected the correction. Had I not been paying attention and just paid via the app, I would have been overcharged $38 (the price of the special sushi). I got the bill on paper and paid via a credit card. $82.98, plus at $17 tip resulted in a $100 lunch. Is it worth the cost? I'm not sure. I haven't been to a sushi bar in ages, so I don't know what the going rate for sushi and sashimi is any more. What I was served looked and tasted fine. I think my issues with the delivery of food and problems with my check colored my experience. I'll give Nori Bar a conditional recommendation, good, but pricy.

Yelp
Another stop at Nori and another amazing experience. I'm glad we chose them for our Christmas Eve dinner. Chef was amazing and kept the food coming! Service was top notch as always. We will be back, for sure!!
