I bought my son’s uniforms here throughout the years. I have also asked for custom embroidery of clothing. Every single time, they provided excellent customer service and great products! I adore Susan and the rest of the team!

We stopped by out of curiosity as we went for a walk while in San Pedro and were impressed by the highly organized and well stocked school uniform store on 6th street. Everything is labeled according to the school and the selections are vast. The value is defined there and if you are searching for school uniforms you just have to give this place an opportunity to meet your needs. Recommended

Very nice clothing store overall and great place to buy school uniforms. They are very nice to all their customers. They also have fitting rooms that you can use to try clothes on and do have locks.

I had an amazing experience with a woman named Vanessa who assisted me with my online order. She was incredibly kind and helpful. Based on that interaction alone, I would absolutely recommend this store to friends and family.

I went in looking for a work shirt. I needed a white Oxford shirt which used to be ant easy thing to come by but now everybody has to add their own "personal" touches to them. That means they don't pass muster as work shirts anymore. I needed PLAIN. So, I saw that Norman's did uniforms and had adult sizes. I also didn't feel like slogging through Ross just to save money. The service was amazing. A lovely woman took me by the hand immediately and found me a woman's work shirt (not quite a Oxford but very plain😁) It was pricey as hell for a work shirt but it was convenient. The service was great and I was out of the shop in 15 minutes. Worth it to me that day. The shop is packed with beautiful things, especially for men. Quicksilver seems to be a major brand. Prepare to bleed price wise though... 😅

Went into the store today to pick up my granddaughters school uniforms. Everyone was very helpful especially Shauna, a very sweet and funny lady, she said she had only been there a short time but knew where everything was and helped me with a special request on an item GIVE THIS LADY A RAISE!

I came in the store and not even one employee ask me if I needed anything. I was standing 7 minutes they look at me and didn’t bothered to say at least “good Morning” or “ dos you find everything ok” I been here before and this is the 3rd time I wish I can shop somewhere else for my daughters school uniform.

I ordered two custom Polo shirts and they told me they would ship that week. However, it took them four weeks to ship. Another person who volunteers with me ordered the same shirts and received them within four days. Nick, the manager, gave me no explanation for the three-week delay, other than they were swamped and had to prioritize uniforms over my custom shirts. This made no sense. Even worse, he refused to refund my money, allow me to return the shirts, or otherwise make things right. Awful customer service and unprofessional business practices. Beware of this place.

I just had some of the best customer service! My son goes to St Philomena. We have been going here for uniforms for the last two years. Every time we have gone in the store, the service ladies have always been so helpful and prevented me from over buying and over spending the first time we bought uniforms (it's easy to want to over buy when you see your little ones in uniform the first time!). Since then I've mostly ordered online when my son goes through a growth spurt. Their website is easy to navigate. Just search the school name and your uniforms will show. This time however I ordered two different sizing options. I didn't realize it. The next day was PE day and I realized that I forgot to order PE shorts. I figured I'd just wait until next year. I received a call from Norman's and they were just making sure my order was correct because of the different sizes I ordered and they were able to fix my order and they let me add on the shorts I needed :) thank you!

Normans has offered exceptional service to my family and I. I can't praise Nick, the owner, enough. His hospitality, warmth, and commitment to customer satisfaction enough. He exceed our expectations, providing top-notch children's uniforms while genuinely caring for each customer, not just seeing them as numbers. THANK YOU, Nick and staff.

Great customer service. The owner of the store greeted is at the entrance and took care of us right away. Was there for a couple school shirts and sweater and they were embroiderd while we waited and gave us time to take kids to a neighboring store for ice cream . Overall a great experience.

My daughter needed school uniforms and thankfully the school provided a list of places to go. Norman's was one of them on the list. I'd never been in this store and didn't realize it was right here on 6th street...as much as i've been on 6th. They have regular everyday clothes, in addition to uniforms, though most of the store is uniforms for various area schools. I was surprised how many schools they service in the area. I really liked that the uniforms for my daughter's school were already embossed with the logo and if there was something on the list that we wanted that wasn't embossed, they would do it for us. That was honestly a great feature that they offered. Anywhere else, you might have to wait for it, but here, they did it in a matter of minutes. I also liked that they had nicely embroidered sweatshirts with her school logo. They reminded me of the quality of my college sweatshirts. Zuma helped us as soon as we entered the store and really went the extra mile for us. She was super nice and helpful, as were all of the staff. I liked that they all worked together to make sure customers were taken care of. If Zuma went somewhere else, someone gladly stepped in and helped us. I know you're able to order online, but I'm old school... I like to see and feel things in real life. I was also glad to see that they have good extended hours, so you have time to make it there and get what you need. They had a good supply of uniforms, but I would suggest to get in there early to get what you need, because I would guess that it's mayhem the closer it gets to school starting.

They never answer the phone and when they do they place you on hold ( 45 minutes is all I could take) . Worst business zero stars

Worst business EVER!! My children's school forces us to use this uniform company for all our uniforms. Which myself & other parents will be talking to the principal about. I ordered extremely expensive uniforms online, $50 for a pair of shorts?!! The order finally came after over 2.5 weeks, only to find they sent the wrong shorts. If you want to do a return or exchange, you need to pay for shipping yourself. I shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes! Forget trying to reach them. They NEVER answer the phone, you can't leave a message and they don't respond to email. I've been dealing with this crappy company for so many years that I have started cutting off the logo off my kids' old uniforms, purchasing look alike shorts & skirts and resewing them on myself. Or I'm sure you could go to a seamstress. I can't do this with every garment, only pants, shorts & skirts, but it has taken away the time I have to deal with Norman's, and a little cushion from their insane prices. Get you company together Norman's. Eventually enough parents are going to complain about you to the schools and you'll be out.

i had to buy uniforms for my sister starting her first year of high school at a new school with many different requirements for uniform. we had no clue what to look for but luckily this sweet woman who introduced herself as "mau" showed us the basics of what to get for my sister. the place was also really busy and i saw her along with many of the staff doing their best to help multiple customers at once.

This is one of the worst companies (not just uniform companies, I mean worst company in general) that I have ever encountered in my life. Our school forces us to use this place -- as do many other schools -- which I'm sure is the reason they are so negligent and disorganized. But I am not ok with being complicit in this insanity, so I had to at least expose them for the racket they are here on Yelp. A few overarching reasons: - Their only job is to supply uniforms to schools, and yet they never have enough uniforms when the school year approaches. - Their prices are astronomical (e.g. $54 for a girl's skirt) - They are not open on Sundays (or Mondays), and they close at 5pm, making it so that working parents are consolidated to going in on Saturdays only. And the store cannot accommodate all the customers that go in on Saturdays as the school year approaches. - There is no organization to the store, things are everywhere so there is no way to find the items you need unless someone helps you. And there are not enough employees working there to help. - I went in with my daughter and was there for 2 hours without anyone to help us, so we ended up with just one item that we were able to find on our own. We then waited in line for 45 minutes to buy it. - Because of the in-store failed attempt, I went online to purchase the uniforms instead. I was charged immediately, but my online purchase has sat for weeks without an update or projected shipping date. I have sent a couple emails inquiring about the status, and have never heard back. - I tried calling their number, but it goes straight to voicemail with the message saying "this mailbox is full". - I went into the store to inquire about my order, and was told they could not help me with online orders. - School starts tomorrow, and my daughter has no uniforms and we are in the dark as to when they will ever even arrive. I wish there was a zero stars option. And I wish all these schools would stop contributing to the monopoly this horrific place has on the school uniform market in SoCal.

The quality of the uniforms is great. However, when you're a busy mom, with no time to drive, in traffic, an hour from home, and need to order online it is VERY difficult. NORMAN'S - PLEASE POST A SIZE CHART!!!!!! Your sizing is not true to size. A woman's size 4 is more like a size 2. Now we need to return and start over with only 1 week to spare. When our school only gives 1 uniform option and you're it, can you please at least make it easy on the families?

My daughter attends a private school that requires uniforms through Norman's Uniform Company. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The uniforms are of great quality and have lasted so far. They accept returns and exchanges with no problem. My only suggestion is to not wait until the week of school to go in person or order online because you'll have to wait in a long line, and they might run out. Trust me, you wouldn't be the only one there trying to get uniforms last minute. Give yourself at least 3 weeks before school starts. Trust me!

Amazing & fast customer service! Michelle greeted us when we walked in and quickly helped us find the sizes & styles of uniforms we were looking for. For the uniforms that didn't have the school logo, she let us know that they would add the logo and that it'd take about 15 minutes to do, which I was super surprised by how quickly the process was done. I definitely recommend coming to the store to buy uniforms instead of ordering online since you're able to get the uniforms the same day instead of having to wait & potentially encountering a shipping delay.

Compared to the years before. Very well organized. Had a great selection of backpacks especially for older kids. Went before lunchtime in the middle of the week so we had lots of help since it wasn't busy. They went above and beyond finding clothes in my kiddo's size. Also workers were well versed what colors belongs to what school and overall a smooth transaction. They also had some clothes already with the school logo which sped up the process. Workers were very helpful finding the correct size for my son.

Came here To get my son's uniform due to that the school recommended me here. I asked some lady for help and she just said oh just go upstairs and she just walked away. The people working there are not knowledgeable. No customer service what so ever. Employees look tired run down, Not helpful at all. I will be calling my school to notify them and see if they can recommend me Elsewhere. They didn't have my son sizes. Very disappointed cause my school talked very highly about this place. I would have given them 0 stars but because I have to give some kind of stars to be able to post. I left without making any purchase There's no customer service.

A great uniform store with the best staff specially Ate Susan. This has been our uniform store for 9 years and Ate Susan has been very helpful and very friendly to us. She takes care of us and finds the right size and makes sure we follow the school's uniform guidelines. Nice to come back here and looking forward to see her every year. The store is open even during COVID with amazing staff. Make sure you have mask and practice social distancing inside the store.

Lady at counter was a bit condescending. I was trying to bring to her attention that the prices online differed then from the store and she didn't seem to care. She said I was wrong so then I pulled up the website to show her and she said oh we have to fix that. Completely lacks customer service. There was also a 7 year old girl that approached the counter and asked about using the restroom and she kept ignoring her until finally we said something and brought it to her attention.

Worst service ever. Not only did they not have enough of each size. I had to wait an hour to pay and another hour get the decal put on the uniforms. Wouldn't let me take the decal home to put it on myself. All employees were very rude.

Worse service ever! No one knew what to do, the line was huge! Only 2 employees checking out and talking and super slow. Stood in line for well over an hour.

Very horrible customer service.These people are only in business because most schools can only get specific uniform at this location. The people that work here are terrible, I got cut off mid question and I wasn't even done asking my question. Active listening... you listen to what your customer is asking and then you are able to provide a better educated answer. How do you know what I'm asking if you haven't heard my question ? If you ever need any help just ask for the main boss the man nick, everyone else is no help. They are the only ones to be able to provide my daughters school logo and they made it very difficult to be able to pay for a logo. 1. If you want us to buy your store merchandise, please provide smaller sizes, yes, some children start at TK & Kinder. If we are not able to purchase the merchandise there, obviously we have to purchase somewhere else, I am willing to pay for the logo clearly, I need it. 2. This was my daughters first school shopping experience, she started TK and we where all very excited to come purchase her uniform that was recommended by the school. We left feeling miserable! These people feel entitled and look down on you. The respect you give is the respect you'll get. Obviously a lot of us parents have to come here regardless, at least put on a better attitude so we may have a better shopping experience , some of us have to come to this store for YEARS to come.

This place has the worst customer service ever. I went with my son and was told to wait. We waited for over 30 minutes and they were completely rude. They would start smiling and being all happy with other families and completely ignored me and went to help them. I'm positive they are racist and it was terrible. Only reason I go is because it is the only place that sells the uniforms my son needs and even then they don't have sizes knowing that tk and k are small sizes. Is my son going to freeze at school when winter comes because they don't have the size of the track suit? It's ridiculous.

The staff is super helpful, efficient and friendly. We were able to go into the store and quickly get what we needed for the new school year at BOLS. They engraved and stamped our kiddos clothes on the spot and they look perfect. My only request would be to have Norman's consider first responder discounts or teacher discounts (outside of being a teacher at the school your child goes to). I was bummed when the cashier told me they wouldn't offer a discount to a faculty member form USC. I've been coming to Normans since I was a child in Catholic school and now I'm bringing my children. A small discount for two generations of purchasing would've been amazing.

We had to get uniforms for my daughter to start school. She was wiggly and excited. The staff is so patient even in hard, hot, summer conditions, in finding the right clothing to a new school year. Thank you Normans for the excellent patience, quality school wear you clothe our most important in daily.

I came in last minute after a late school acceptance and was so thankful I was able to get what I needed for my daughter. Zuma was lovely and extremely helpful.

First time there referred by school, long waiting in line with only two customers in front of me. When finally was my turn the old lady told me "they can't help me to put logos on my shirts because they are busy and I can go to the next shop". Maybe because I don't bought my polos there or racist.

The hardest company to get a hold of, Ordered and when I got my order I ordered 3 different colored polos and got all black then I got a sweater with poor quality embroidered emblem , I went in person to replace and they said they would send it to my daughters school and its been one month and still have not received it so I have been trying to call them and no answer and the mail box has been full .

Does anyone know if they are under new ownership? It used to be a great company but it's a nightmare now. I have placed 2 orders - one in April and one a few weeks ago - neither ever shipped. No one answers the phone - it's unnecessarily stressful and annoying. Many parents are furious and frustrated and we will be petitioning the Principal to change companies. This is ridiculous in the age of eCommerce to do business with such a careless and inefficient company. I would advise all other disgruntled parents to similarly petition your schools. We live in LA / Southern California - there are many apparel companies that would die for this level of business especially in this economy.

How is this place still in business? Wait 15 mins at the counter for them to tell me it's not ready and to come back in 45 mins. Only reason I drove down there is because for days no one has answered the phone.

Poor customer service. If I had a choice I would not choose to buy from here. Their customer service is bad. I ordered a school shirt for my daughter but they didn't have it when they came to sell on campus. So they said they will order it and send it to school. School started and it's still not here. I called them over a week. I emailed them at least twice. I tried using chat system they have which is not working. No one is answering and voice mail box is full so apparently they are not checking messages!! I paid $20 for one shirt and they are not delivering it! It's a fraud. They took money and not delivering it!!!! Don't come here if you can avoid it. I wish I can. Maybe I need to tell the school to change vendor somewhere else. This is ridiculous.

Man this place makes me scratch my head, how are they doing business?!! I didn't have a choice but to come here as the online orders I was told were backed up over a month and they don't pick up their phone (why list a phone number?). So I drive an hour there from OC and there is absolute chaos inside. Over three hours (5 including drive time) and lots of craziness later we got our uniform and got the you know what out of there.

Exceptional Service from non other than Ate Susan, she really went out of her way to help and assist me when i am checking for the right size for my daughters uniform. Her energy and kind heart will keep u coming back at Normans. God bless you and more power

If I could give a 0 stars I would. If I could go to a different store for uniforms, I would. I can not express how unorganized they are. I have been back a numerous times waited in line longer than anyone should! Here are a few tips: 1. Answer your phones 2. Have a line for Pickup only 3. Organize your store by school 4. Add signs 5. Move non-uniform clothing somewhere else until back to school shopping is over 6. Hire more help 7. Have multiple checkout lines

What is WRONG with Normans? I have dealt with them since my child was 4 and now she's 12. I've been loyal and have always received excellent service. Now they are providing perhaps the worst service imaginable. I prepaid an order and NEVER received it. I emailed them multiple times with zero replies. I've called easily 10 times with no answer and no ability to leave a message. All their extensions have the same recording that you cannot leave a message. How are they able to run a business like this? I even reported them to my daughter's school with hope that an email from the school won't be ignored like mine have been. So, so frustrated.

I ordered over $200 worth of uniforms almost a week ago. I called the company phone number several times and it rings busy. I have sent 3 emails asking about the status of my order and no response. This is terrible. I now have to drive down to San Pedro to find out where my order is. And the real issue is that I HAVE to buy from them, I have no other options. Terrible customer service!!!

Been buying my daughters school uniforms from her for since she was in the fifth grade at Saint Catherine's. Now she is a sophomore at Bishop Montgomery High School. Love to see and speak with Irma when she is there. The rest of the staff is also great and always willing to help, even when they look tired and stressed out. Pricing is okay, and the quality of the shirts and skirts is great. Uniforms tend to last a long time with proper care. Oh yeah, the owner is very knowledgeable about all their products and always there to lend a helping hand. Thank you Normans!

DO NOT GO HERE. This place is awful. Do not come. Terrible customer service. I went to the store last Saturday and the experience was horrible. I purchased two shirts and shorts for my son. The shorts needed a logo sewn in and the shirts need to be ironed in. They told me to wait 40 minutes because the only person who can do it is out for lunch. I told them I cannot wait 40 minutes and I wish they would have told me before they charged my credit card. They would not refund me after the fact they charged me and told me to wait. They were going to charge me $5 to ship my items if I didn't feel like waiting. I asked them if they can ship for free because I have no time to wait. The other employee called the guy from his lunch hurry to back. I asked the owner Nick if he can waive the $5 fee since he only told me about this after he charged my credit card. He started arguing with me. My family and I have been shopping here for years, and we've never had such bad customer service before, especially from the owner! This place is horrible and only cares about money and not their customers. This place is overpriced for the quality and service it provides. The only reason why I come here is because my son's school is affiliated with this location. If it were not for that reason, I would never come back here again. I will make sure to mention to my son's school that their customer service is horrible and they should no longer be doing business with them.

We've had a great experience with Norman's customer service. Shipping is quick and we haven't had any problems with our uniforms.

Excellent customer service here! Upon being very frustrated with my son shirts constantly popping up with holes, I posted a yelp review to which they responded immediately. They asked me to mail in the shirts with the holes and they would replace them. I had already thrown a lot of them out but I sent in what I had and they did replace them. Not only did they replace them, I had them in my mailbox less than 24 hours later! Thank you Norman's uniforms for providing outstanding customer service.

Wonderful customer service! But I came here way early before school starts ... sale associate Walked up and down stairs for me and daugter , we just moved schools and have no idea of anything ... she made everything easy for us..:)

Quick processing and delivery! My package was delivered to the wrong address, (not in Norman's control) but I finally received the package from a neighbor. I contacted Customer Service and I felt they really cared about making sure I received my order.

Had to return clothes that didn't fit. Got a direct call when they received my return. They helped me reorder and gave me advice on sizing right then and there. Received my new size which was perfect 4 days later! So amazing.

Wow! I was very impressed by the quality of product (kids uniform shirts and sweatshirts) and the speed in which they were delivered! I had a small sizing issue with my order (kids uniform shirts run small) and Nick was there (on his day off) to 100% meet my needs. Thank you Nick! I will for sure order from Normans again.

My granddaughter attends a private school that requires that her uniforms are purchased at Norman's. We live in the Palm Springs area so we called ahead and told them what we needed. They had everything embroidered and ready to go for us.We were even allowed to try everything on to make sure it fit. We made a few exchanges with no problem. The staff was exceptionally helpful and very accommodating.

I went there to get school uniforms for my grandson. The customer service was great. At first, we were greeted by the first person that saw us as we walked in. We told her exactly what we wanted and another lady helped, her customer service was a 10 rating. She went out of her way to check for the correct sizing and color in another location. The cost was decent, nothing that was so alarming. Overall the shopping experience was great.

Great service, employees are always so helpful and patient r when helping me find uniforms for my daughter. Mario has great customer service and always goes above and beyond to help me out. Prices are reasonable and quality of uniforms is pretty good!! I would give them 6 starts if I could.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Norman's has followed all CDC guidelines in regards to store policies from # of shoppers allowed (with a scheduled appointment) to ability to order online. Staff is very friendly and efficient. It's a pleasure to do business with Norman'.

A one-stop school uniform shop for those with kids attending local area schools. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Place has huge selection of uniforms and they carry casual clothes as well in addition to shoes, sandals, belts, ties, board shorts, etc. Accepts scrips from MSHS.
