Norma’s Bakery is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was greeted warmly, thanked for visiting, and even received a hug when I came in — the kind of genuine hospitality that instantly makes you feel like family. The bakery itself is spotless, cozy, and inviting. The smell when you walk in is incredible — the sweet aroma of fresh baked goods fills the whole place and makes it impossible to leave without trying something. They have every Mexican baked good you can think of and then some. The selection is amazing, and they also offer savory options like homemade empanadas and tamales that are just as delicious as the pastries. Everything tastes fresh, authentic, and clearly made with care. The prices are honestly unbelievable for the quality. The portions are generous, everything is homemade, and they could absolutely charge more if they wanted to. It’s rare to find food this good at such an affordable price. This place is awesome! It reminds me of walking into a panderia back in Mexico. You pick out your breads with a tray and tongs then they bag it up for you. Free coffee too! The Conchas are fluffy and perfectly sweet. The staff is very very friendly and welcoming. And the price was very affordable! Definitely going to be a regular!

1st visit. Came for flan--was not disappointed. Best concha I've ever had--nice texture (combo of yeast bread and cake-like crumb), not overly sweet, pretty topping design. I will return for these, so good with coffee or tea or as a snack. Beautiful cookies, pastries, cakes (more than one flavor of tres leches). Delicious ready-made candies (dulce le leche with pecans on top). I will also return for the Mexican breads to make sandwiches -- they looked so fresh and fluffy. I definitely would not have come across this place just driving by on the street because it's tucked in towards the back and doesn't have a big sign, although when you drive into the lot you will see the photos on the windows. The place is small, but there are so many choices. I felt welcome here.

Norma was the sweetest to me and my family. She welcomed us with a hug. The bread was delicious, as well as the tamales. Thank you!

I absolutely love this place! Their pan dulce is truly authentic and delicious — exactly what I’ve been searching for. The variety and quality are outstanding, making it a spot I know we’ll visit often. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. We walked in. We got greeted right away. The environment felt so welcoming! It was our first time coming in & the owner came up to us & hugged us. She made my mom & I feel so comfortable & felt like home! We bought Concha’s & tamales. Bomb.com. Tamales are moist & great portions of meat inside! We love it & will come back!

Norma is such a sweet lady. I was greeted when I walked in by Norma and she made it so pleasant for me while deciding on what to purchase. The Pan Dulce was delicious and the paletas were so rich in flavor.

Heard about this place on 11/14/24 and thought I'd give it a try. The last time I had authentic Mexican bread (pan dulce or con has) was when I went to visit my 105 yo grandmother in 2012. I got some bread and tamales. HOLY CANOLE! This place is the real deal! DELICIOUS! It will be my go-to when I think of my gramma who has since passed. Give it a try!

Norma's offers delicious baked treats. I love sugar donuts and they have the best around. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

I had my son's bday cake done and it was great. The service was top notch. They were prompt and patient with responding yo all my questions. The price was reasonable. The place was clean and smelt great like fresh pastry you know the way a bakery should small. They did a great job creating what I sent. The cake tasted great and even though there was coloring u could not tell from the taste of the icing. The layers were moist and melted in my mouth. I will most surely be back and I highly recommend.

Norma's Bakery is a small neighborhood bakery on the corner of Academy and Maizeland. It's new enough that it doesn't have a sign, yet. It's tucked in the corner between the Schlotzsky's and CFMAF Martial Arts & Fitness, closer to the martial art studio. I picked up the container of meringue cookies (about $5), because I think they're a pain to make, so I'm happy to buy them and support a small business! There were two kinds and were pretty awesome! A friend of mine picked up a container of mixed cookies (about $5) and gave some to me. I liked the happy face cookies, because they're so cute and happy! My hubby said that the jam for the happy face stuck to his teeth a little. There were some beautiful cakes available and even slices of the beautiful cakes! That's a great reason to go back later! Moved to Springs from Manhattan NY last year, have been looking since for authentic cannoli, Normas cannolis are so close they might as well have come from Little Italy, if you are reading this and not eating a Normas cannoli or driving to get one you are in the wrong! Regards.

Tried the berry crepe cake and concha and they were very good! They are so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back to try the other items they offer.

Soooooo happy I came across this bakery!!! Norma is just as sweet as the items in her bakery that fill the shop with the most amazing smells. Cannot wait to spoil my friends and family this holiday with all of what she has!

This place isn't too easy to find as there is no sign on the facade of the building - but if you look near Schlotzky's and see A Matter of Hacks, it is to the right. Norma is a beautiful soul. I have only had a brief interaction with her when I went into her bakery - but it is obvious and you feel like you just got adopted into her family. The pastries are delicious. We tried an assortment of things from the conchas to the strudel cake and many things in between and so far every taste has been a joy. Textures were light, airy, and perfect in everything I tried. Things are not overly sweet and baked to perfection. I can't wait to try the cookies - which I completely missed as I was filling a tray with goodies. Your tastebuds will be happy you stopped by - and a hug from Norma will make your day brighter. This place is a treasure.

We live in Falcon and we're looking for Flan....Norma was the recommendation.....so we stopped in....its worth the find (right next to the martial arts)....Norma and her husband were fantastic. It was so nice to be greeted enthusiasticly by them. Norma thanked us with hugs...oh my goodness ....it was so cute and grandmotherly...we loved it. We did get flan, and chocolate cake and por empanadas and pastries and cookies. The price for that haul was very reasonable. She even has a rewards program. She also gave my husband a free fresh pineapple drink and mine was fresh hibiscus..... delicious.....now that we are properly stuffed with empanadas, flan and cake..... tomorrow we dine on the remaining pastries. Highly recommend you visit this gem of a place and sample the wares....you will not be disappointed and Norma WILL removed you on your next visit!

We stopped here to grab some pastries to bring to a friends house for a BBQ. The pastries were so fresh and delicious. We left some of them with our friends and told them about Norma's bakery. Our friend texted me later tonight to tell me she was eating the things we brought and they were wonderful. Norma came out and hugged us while we were there. She was so kind and helpful. Very reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back!

Over priced. Empanadas had a sweet breading (?!) and they were 75% breading with a tiny portion of meat inside.

Our most favorite find! Norma is a gem! Sweet at her pastries. So many varieties savory and sweet, ice creams and drinks too. So delicious and incredibly priced.

Like going to Nana and Tata's kitchen. Fresh, homemade, affordable and delicious! The owners are very nice and welcoming. The wife reminded me of my mom and she even hugged me on my way out. Never met them in my life, but they made a customer for life and now their family, even if they don't know it. Go get you some !

We took home a bunch of pastries and breads and two chicken empanadas that were so good they were mostly eaten by the time we got home! Everything is absolutely delicious and I cannot recommend them enough. Norma literally came out and thanked us for supporting her small business. Everything about her little bakery was warm, cozy, and incredibly welcoming and friendly. Amazing food and amazing people! Nos llevamos a casa un montón de pasteles y panes y dos empanadas de pollo que estaban tan buenas que ya se las habían comido casi todas cuando llegamos a casa! Todo es absolutamente delicioso y no puedo recomendarlos lo suficiente! Norma salió y nos dio las gracias por apoyar su pequeño negocio. Todo sobre su pequeña panadería era acogedor y amable. ¡Comida increíble y gente increíble!

I bought different pastries and two cake slices to get a good sample of their offerings. So far, so good. A young male helped with recommendations per their best sellers. He was friendly and made great suggestions per what I have tried so far. I will definitely be back!

My family and I really enjoyed everything we purchased! The gentleman who helped us was kind enough to give my little girl a free item. The slices of cake we purchased were very tasty. We will definitely be back.

Small mom-and-pop bakery. The people there were super nice. I tried the Tiramisu Cake slice and it was super delicious. I also tried a bovarian cream empanada and it was super soft and delicious. I was really excited to see they made kolaches. The sausage was super flavorful and delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more things!

Norma's has been mentioned multiple times on a Colorado Springs food blog. I finally had the chance to stop by last week and it was wonderful. The space is clean and organized. I had a hard time making choices, other than the Crepe Cake which was recommended multiple times on the blog. It is unusual and very tasty. I also got a cinnamon roll and some cannoli pastries for my mother-in-law. She was a bit surprised an Italian pastry could be found in a Panaderia. The cannoli(s) were spot on and my MIL enjoyed them tremendously! We discussed that most nationalities have a form of meat pie, fried dessert, dumpling etc. I didn't find it odd at all. A good baker can really make anything. And Norma Canales is one of those bakers! The flakey pastries flaked, the pastries with substance were consistent without being "stodgy", and the spicing and flavoring were spot on for everything I tasted. Eder helped us out. He was a very nice young man. Besides the pastries they have flan and tamales. Both of which I will be going back for the next time. Yum!

Definitely recommend checking this bakery out! The conchas and other sweet breads are delicious! The tamales taste authentic and fresh!
