"The quintessential Los Angeles diner, Norms, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner — plus a menu of playful cocktails. Expect breakfasts of country-fried steak and eggs and omelets stuffed with sausage and cheese and lunch and dinner options like tuna melts with American cheese and meatloaf with bacon and gravy." - Janna Karel

"The quintessential California diner, Norms, opens today in central Las Vegas. Taking over the space of a former Applebee’s at 4605 West Charleston Boulevard near Decatur Boulevard, the diner — swathed in orange and marked by a bright pennant sign — starts serving 24-hour pancakes, omelets, burgers, and bloody Marys on Wednesday, October 30. The restaurant will host a grand opening event on Saturday, November 9." - Janna Karel

"With pennant-shaped marquees, a sloping roof, and a long glass window, Norms Restaurant is as much an LA diner staple as it is a piece of timeless Googie art. At 75 years old, the restaurant chain is expanding beyond Southern California for the first time — to Las Vegas. Its menu features traditional diner classics, with three-egg omelets; steak and eggs; stacks of hotcakes topped with blueberries, whipped cream, or syrup; breakfast burritos; and salads, burgers, and sandwiches. The Vegas location will be open 24 hours and serve beer and wine — and possibly liquor later on. It may also have a counter with video gaming or slot machines." - Janna Karel

Absolutely love this place! Their down home family ambiance is wonderful. It's a nice fit into the locals environment. The service is great, both professionally and personally. The food is prepared well, tasty and comes in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is clean & inviting. A good addition to Vegas.

New spot that originated in California of what l was told by one of the patrons that l talked to at the restaurant. We went on a Sunday morning ride to find a new breakfast spot, and my wife has been bugging me to take her so here we are 🤣🤣🤣. I ordered the 1lb porterhouse and a cotton-candy lemonade which really wasn’t bad at all. The good was good and the portion sizes are surprisingly huge. The prices are also very reasonable. When you go be prepared for a wait because they are super busy.

This is a new restaurant. The restaurant was cleaned and the employees were friendly. Our server shift ended shortly after we received our food. However, no one took over after nor did anyone come and check on us. The food was good. It’s very similar to a Denny’s or IHOP, with a maybe a few options that you can’t get at those restaurants. I would visit again, and just hope that our server shift is not ending when we get there. The food was reasonably priced as well. They will also make separate checks for you when you pay. I’m assuming you pay on your way out, that’s what we did because we didn’t have a server after we received our food. There is a lot of parking. You may not be able to park right in the front, you may have to park on the side or in the shopping plaza.

Welcome to Las Vegas, Norms Restaurant. We stumbled upon Norms on our way to another restaurant and I made a U turn. My BF knows of Norms and said we should check them out. We walked in and the restaurant is pretty huge. Open 24 hours a day and to me, it's an upscale Diner. Our server, Brenda was really nice. 5 Stars for her and everyone else working there. From the MOD walking around and asking if we needed anything to the host at the front with her pleasant and welcoming personality. The menu is vast with offering breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes. Food: Norms Ultimate Meatloaf with a cup of soup (broccoli & cheddar), salad, vegetables and mashed potatoes. 6 oz Sirloin Steak with a cup of soup (Gumbo), salad, vegetables and baked potato. My BF enjoyed his Meatloaf. The Sirloin was cooked perfectly and surprisingly very tender. I highly recommend this spot as it's affordable and great for family dinners.

Finally made it here! The Michelada was not my favorite which is what I was looking forward to but their salad was crisp and fresh along with their homemade thousand island. The steak was huge and had a great flavor as well as the mashed potatoes. The tables had a lot of great space in between them and it felt more private than other places or at least I wasn't able to hear the other table's conversations. Coming back soon especially, since they're open 24 hours.

Heard about this first Vegas location and had to give it a try. Best I can describe it is like Dennys cousin from California. Restaurant is very clean, retro style establishment. Pretty basic American fare. I came for breakfast, it was good but not great. Food was fresh and pretty quick service. Hash browns were quite bland, however they do offer a loaded version. Pancake syrup seemed more like honey. Overall was a good experience, will return to try their lunch/dinner menu.

Great experience on their first day of business. All the food did not disappoint. The pancakes are like like dessert, coffee great & the Porterhouse Steak & eggs that I got were exactly what you'd be looking for at a place like this. I don't know how they get that certain taste you get from this breakfast steak. Possibly that char brought that flavor profile in, 'cause it was absolutely phenomenal. The popular breakfast spots here in Las Vegas just lost some business.

**NORMS on Charleston Blvd: A Familiar, if Flawed, Newcomer to Las Vegas** The arrival of NORMS on Charleston Blvd brings a classic Californian touch to the Las Vegas dining scene, evoking a nostalgia that patrons from the West Coast will surely recognize. The diner's aesthetic is inviting, effortlessly channeling the timeless American charm that has made NORMS a staple in its home state. Yet, while the ambiance is spot-on, the dining experience falls short in the realm of service. My visit was marred by delays, which stood out even against the backdrop of a bustling grand opening. The first wait — a simple glass of water — felt unreasonably long, leaving me wondering if it was a one-time oversight. However, the delay for my New York steak and eggs confirmed that timing may be an operational challenge. Despite the attentiveness of my waitress, who checked in periodically to reassure me, the wait lingered beyond what one would expect for a diner with NORMS' pedigree. It's clear that while the staff embodies the warm, casual spirit characteristic of California locations, they may still be adjusting to the demands of this new setting. The steak and eggs were passable, offering a decent take on this NORMS classic without quite achieving greatness. The steak was satisfactory, but it lacked the sear and seasoning that made it a truly memorable dish. This, combined with the extended wait, dulled the appeal of an otherwise nostalgic meal. Currently, NORMS is bustling, drawing in curious patrons with its name alone. However, it's easy to imagine this initial rush dwindling unless service becomes smoother and more timely. Overall, NORMS on Charleston Blvd offers a pleasant nod to the past, but if it aims to establish itself as more than just a fleeting novelty, it will need to address these growing pains in short order.
