Doesn't get much better than the clear blue-green water and all the activity going on. Beautiful beach to walk along. Tons of shells if that's your thing. Cool to watch all the boats going around and everyone having a good time. It's definitely a busy beach but the people watching is great! Definitely worth a day trip if you're all set to hang out for a while.

Incredible handicap access (including beach chair). They have several nice bathrooms, pavillions, and grills, all while maintaining an ultimate feeling of completely raw and organic florida! There are no obstructions, only wildlife, nature, and beach. We saw a handful of big crabs, sand dollars, birds, hawks, and more! Bring a lunch for the pavilions or some meet to grill.. this is absolutely a place to come nestle down and spend an entire day. The water is calm and warm..it was truly paradise. They have tons of parking (dont forget to pay!) and the beach is about 10 minutes from the main entrance

Best beach ever! We have been going to this beach for over 10 years now. Every time we visit it is not crowded and is very clean. We always find different types of sea critters to observe and often have seen manatees and dolphins in the area. The rocks block some of the larger waves so it’s perfect for swimming. Parking is close and only costs $6 for the day. Small gift shop and food stand close too. Plenty of restrooms too! Perfect day at the beach every time!

Whenever I'm in Tampa, this beach is my sanctuary. The ease of finding plenty of parking sets the tone for a relaxing visit, and the consistently clean facilities are a welcome touch. But the true magic lies in the visual and auditory experience: the breathtaking clarity of the water meeting the soft, white sand is simply stunning. Finding a spot to sit and listen to the soothing sound of the waves is pure bliss. And if you're patient, you'll likely be rewarded with the enchanting sight of dolphins dancing through the clear water. It's a truly special and peaceful place.

Nice beach- really nice fine sand. There is a life guard on duty ( sometimes). There is a toilet ( pretty clean) and a kiosk ( check opening hours - before relying on it). HUGE parking lot. Clean beach. No trash, no seaweed. They also have a beach wheelchair. You can put up tents at the beaxh. Water is warm. No rip currents. Downside- is a an extra 25-30 minutes drive compared to other St. Pete beaches

Awesome place. Plenty of parking in all the beaches. The parking is $6. There is also a toll when entering the park. I forgot how much.

Still my favorite beach in Pinellas. The water and lagoon are just stunning and a great place for families. The water is always calm unless the wind is over 15mph, but the lagoon never has waves no matter the wind

I love this beach. Far less crowded than most of the highly rated on the Gulf coast and yes plenty of white sand and crystal clear waters. There are some small ruins to explore and the gift shop/snack bar at the parking area has about everything you need if you've forgotten to bring anything for the day. We've seen dolphins both visits as well a few hundred yards out. Fort desoto is a cool place to explore if you're into historical forts
