Thursday Special Not a bad plate for $11 — though you do have to purchase a beverage, so I grabbed a $3 can of pop. Drive-Thru Burger — $17 Vessel Meat's beef smash patty, cheddar, hoppy dijonnaise, caramelized onion, pickles The burger was on the smaller side compared to others in the area, and I think it would benefit from a slightly larger patty. I wasn’t a huge fan of the hoppy dijonnaise, but that’s just personal preference — I’d still say having a sauce is better than going without. The fries were delicious, though. Overall, it was a fresh-tasting burger; the onions, pickles, and cheese all had great flavour. I’d definitely come back for the $11 special, and even the $17 burger isn’t a terrible price compared to nearby options. I just found the burger itself a bit small, though the fry portion was generous. It was a busy spot for a rainy Thursday night, with a good atmosphere and plenty of seating. Service was fast and the staff were friendly. Stop by and give it a try!

Food – Burgers and Mains I ordered the whiskey burger and the deluxe burger. The whiskey burger sauce was potent and the hickory sticks made it a dry eat so it wasn’t really my thing. I’d suggest getting the sauce on the side. The deluxe burger was great and the hoppy dijonnaise paired well with the toppings. Fries were just ok but the overall flavour worked well. Kids Meals The kiddo had the chicken kids meal and the fish and chips and enjoyed both. The kids menu has a few good options and the portions are sized properly for younger ones which was great to see. Bowls – Noodle and Curry My wife ordered the noodle bowl and the beef curry bowl. The noodle bowl was just ok. It needed a protein option and tofu would’ve rounded it out since the portion felt small. The beef curry bowl was a decent portion size with good flavour. The server recommended a spice level and was attentive. My wife likes her food seriously spicy so it would’ve been nice if it could’ve gone hotter but she still enjoyed it. Atmosphere and Space The atmosphere is pastel, open, and nicely decorated. Plenty of seating options for groups and the space feels like it could work well for company gatherings or larger events depending on their fees. Beer and Parking The beer selection is impressive even though we didn’t try any on this visit. It’s on my list for next time. Parking can be tight so side streets are your best bet.

We enjoyed a meal and a beverage here on a Saturday evening. The menu was kind of a mix of pub food with an Indian twist. We split the Chaat Fries Supreme, coconut curried cauliflower and the beef curry with rice and naan. It was delicious. 10/10 for those fries with the masala spice, crispy chickpeas and pops of pomegranate. Trust me, it all works. Cauliflower was very tender and so was the beef. Slight spice but I would say on the milder side. I could have handled a little more. Our fries were a little cold so we informed our server and he insisted on replacing them completely. We would have settled for a zap in the microwave. 10/10 for service. Not shown was the dry cider I had which was on tap. It was also really good. Definitely will be back.

The Indian snacks are absolutely amazing flavorful, comforting, and made with so much care. Every bite feels like it’s been cooked with heart, not just for business. Perfectly paired with their drinks, it’s the kind of food that makes you smile without even realizing it. What truly makes this place special is the owners and the staff. Such sweet, humble, and genuinely kind people. Their hospitality doesn’t feel forced... it feels real!!!You’re treated like a guest, not just a customer, and that warmth stays with you even after you leave. The ambience is cozy, fun, and easygoing ... a perfect spot to unwind, laugh, and enjoy good conversations. Nothing pretentious, just good vibes, good food, and good people. Visited North Brewing for the first time tonight with a few friends and had such a great experience. Even though it was busy, Lenny managed to serve us quickly while staying friendly, upbeat, and cracking jokes the whole time, which honestly made the night even better. The atmosphere was lively without feeling overwhelming, and the service never felt rushed. The wings were absolutely fantastic — crispy, flavourful, and definitely some of the best I’ve had in a while. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for good food, great drinks, and even better service

Love almost everything about this place. The people are so friendly. They just need to make customers aware the nachos will have squeeze cheese on them! They are the same price as regular nachos so we didn’t expect it. We wouldn’t have ordered them if we had known. We couldn’t finish them. But like I said, don’t order the nachos and you will be fine. :)

I had a great work lunch here today. Wish I took more photos. I had the fish burger with extra tartar on the side. It was delicious. Super fresh and extremely filling. Look at the size of it! Excellent meal and experience.

Staff are so friendly and sweet, curry cauliflower with a side of naan for dipping is superb, and the Lawrencetown beer (where I am from) is wonderful! I even bought a cool pink t-shirt! Tina Garbe

Now, North Brewing has been a staple in E's repertoire for many years. Good grub, good grog. But E must say, a fouler taste has never graced E's flavour receptors in recent memory. E never thought E would bad mouth a beer, but this "beer" left a bad taste in E's mouth. So let's have an honest conversation about Figgy Pudding... E must say, this has to be the most revolting and expensive beer ever concocted. With hints of aluminum foil, sour feet, moldy grapefruits, summertime garbage disposals, and discount dark chocolate; this beer should have never been created, let alone sold to the public. And this is a new one... E has never yelped a beer, or even poured one down the shitter before today, but quite frankly E couldn't wait to see the last drop of that abomination of a beer slide down the drain into the dark abyss of the sewer system - where it belongs. E expected hidden cameras to pop out and say "Gotcha, I can't believe you drank the whole thing" or to get startled by Ashton Kutcher jumping out of the closet to say, "You got punked"... Was E part of some sick, deranged reality tv show? No, sadly not. Burn the recipe... Unless you're going to use this on an episode of fear factor. - E

An excellent spot! Fantastic, rotating beer, cider and seltzer selection. Wonderful menu, too. The General Tso cauliflower or the kimchi fries are incredibly addictive. Worth the stopping in, even if you don't drink.

Went here today and had an awesome hamburger with amazing fries. Good prices and you get 15%off beer if you make a food purchase and show them the bill! Best craft beer around!

Wha? beer? Of course I'll be there on opening day. Located along the very interesting stretch of Agricola / North area, this little brewery that could has certainly got off to a good start. Small storefront when you come in, you can see 4 beer taps ready to refill your 750ml growlers. I love these growlers, it has some kind of ceramic black layer which gives it a great vibe. Two brews are available, 65m Ale and Farmhouse. Both are Belgian style beers, so expect a bit more weight in terms of flavour. My personal favourite is farmhouse. 7.5% nice bread fruit complex beer. Nobody in town is making this style. The downside after a month of opening is that they are open 9 hours per week. Demand is draining their supply and they can't accommodate refilling the growlers at this point. This is a very interesting conundrum. News reports that they might be doubling capacity soon. Was walking through the Alderney marker when surprise! Beer! Asked buddy a few questions and a couple samples later found myself leaving with no groceries and holding a big bottle of beer! The brewery is easy to find and has friendly staff.

I am not a fan of beer, but Mike is. We hit Bridge Brewing Company on the weekend. The store is very small and sparse: just a counter and a record player. :-D Mike ordered a jug (aka "growler") of blond ale, which the owner pours for you at the counter. He fills those things to overflowing, so you're definitely getting your money's worth! This business is all about the beer, and it's obvious when you taste their wares. As mentioned, I don't like beer, but I like their beer! Clean, crisp, light with no bitter aftertaste. Truly a well-crafted beer. We will definitely be back for more.

Yep, this is my favorite NS microbrewery. Their beers are fantastic! On a busy stretch of Agricola street, the gray and red building stands out. It's tiny inside, a real indicator that this is a small, hands-on operation. Peter is often right at the counter, filling bottles and chatting with customers. While they started with my 2 favorite beers, Gus' 65 metre ale (so name because it was first served at Gus' pub, 65 metres away on the same street) and the stellar Farmhouse ale, they have since launched 2 more brews. The strong dark belgian ale is a 7.5% powerhouse, while the summer ale, a saison type, is more strongly hopped than the 3 other beers. Bridge is also very environmentally focused, trying to make their brewery a zero-emission enterprise. Check out their website for some of the initiatives they are taking to make this a reality. Pretty cool. Can't wait to see what the fall beer will be... (although I did get some insider info on it this week... hehehe).

I had never heard of this brewery before today. I happened to be working at the Aliant building and parked in front of the brewery. Man am I glad I did. The decor was simple, small and dedicated to the beer. I liked that right away. I picked up some of the saison, gus' 65m ale, and the farmhouse. I'm sitting on my patio now enjoying the saison and it is absolutely wonderful. It's just so well balanced, refreshing and quite complex. Even my wife who is generally not a beer drinker, and very wary of craft brew in particular is a fan of the beer. I can't wait to crack open the other types tomorrow. My only real complaint is they were sold out of the Belgian IPA when I stopped in. But on the bright side that gives me an excuse to head back over looking for more this week!

Awesome microbrewery, love the feel in the store, not your typical retail garb. The beer is awesome and the philosophy of the company is awesome. The only drawback is that the beer is so popular it often sells out

On a brief visit from Seattle, I was steered to HFXs north end for craft brewing. I was not disappointed. North Brewing focuses on Belgian styles, though they make an IPA as well. I only got to try the summer saison and a cherry saison on this Saturday, since the person at the front explained they're moving to a location in Dartmouth and had stopped brewing for a few days in the past week, limiting supply. Pity, but the samples of the saisons were terrific. The summer was bright and clean with citrus notes. The cherry was similar without (thankfully, for my tastes) a "cherry flavor" but with more tartness in the mouth and without the same herbal notes in the finish. I would come back or try their offerings at local taprooms, for sure.

Great local microbrew but the bottle deposits are a double-edge sword. You don't want to take a half-dozen over to a friend's place because then you have to hustle all the bottles back. I challenge you to return the bottles without exchanging them for full ones!
