Google
This store has been around for the longest & has a great selection of foods to choose from. When I’m in town sometimes I pass through and get the Baked Chicken Leg Quarter, Plain White Rice & and Stuffed Bell Pepper. Hadn’t been here in a minute but this time the Baked Chicken was a bit too salty for my liking and couldn’t eat it. Back off on so much salt in the food guys. I’ll be back but probably won’t get the chicken.

Google
Fantastic find, judged by the constant stream of customers, stopped by and was amazed. Brought back two shrimp poboys, seafood gumbo, and red beans and rice. All 5 stars!

I flew to NOLA to try some food spots recommended off of tiktok. Customer service was the bomb! The food was average , the crawfish mushy n the rice / chicken was day old food. This food can really damage someone. It’s not the best . The blue store overrated.

Google
Crawfish was very hard not juicy at all very dry not seasoned. I won’t be eating there anymore.Very disappointing!!

Google
Visiting from out of town and everyone suggested I go to the "blue store" and grab some food to take back home. I got stuffed peppers and the gumbo and both were excellent! The staff was nice and friendly as well. This will definitely be a spot I come to every time I visit New Orleans.

Google
It get four stars because as hood as this corner store is they definitely try... folks hang out and it's like a New Orleans landmark and you expect to see folks doing exactly what they're doing! I love the seafood here and I usually always stop here if I'm in the area and want seafood. Sometimes I will even take that drive if I'm not. Cool little local spot with a variety of things.

Yelp
North Broad Seafood was recommended by the staff of the hotel we are staying at. It is basically a convenience store. There are soft drinks, chips, others snack, cigarettes and then a hot food bar. We ordered a few items off the hot food bar. We got the Beans and Rice, Gumbo, a couple of boiled eggs and a sausage link. Everything was very flavorful and a good portion for the price. Yelp
Basically, this place is known for its Boiled Seafood. Outside of that, if it's after 2:00pm, and you want hot food off the line, its hit or miss. They serve the same food on the buffet until it's gone, even if the Fried Chicken Wings, and Fried Shrimp are from lunch and cold, they sell them to you. When they add hot food to food pans, they mix hot with old, so sometimes you get mixed pieces of chicken, old and new, hot and cold. The other foods are ok, but still sometimes hours old. Never again.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. No ambiance but all the flavors for a good price to leave you highly satisfied.

Yelp
This spot has it all. It has pretty good crawfish when its in season, good poboys, etc. It is also one of the most acclaimed spots for turkey necks, if that's your jam. But this review isn't about those things. This review is about the FRIED RICE. North Broad Seafood has the best fried rice in the city. My boyfriend and I frequently go out of our way for this fried rice. Do yourself a favor and try it out for yourself.

Yelp
A corner store that sell bomb crawfish??? Wow was not expecting this, we got a lb of crawfish for $4.99 perfectly spicy, half lb of shrimp, gumbo and a side of potatoes. Everything was amazing! The line was wrapped around the store and I see why. This isn't a sit down spot, grab and go sit and the nearest park.

Yelp
Great service, food was delicious and serving size was decent. Went there at almost closing and the young man working there turned back on the grill to accommodate us. Southern Hospitality at its finest.

Yelp
New Orleans food can't be beat. I only go here for their red beans and rice. There's are the best I've ever had.

Jack P.

Yelp
Food was very mediocre and they had run out of crawfish before dinner. I was excited to go here and left disappointed.

Yelp
$ 5 pieces wings & large size shrimp fried rice Fresh Hot, reasonable, eating on a budget this is your place. Shrimp fried rice, is very old school New Orleans a sweet taste very delicious.

Yelp
Wanted some real NOLA crawfish and was not disappointed! It's nice and flavorful much better then the crawfish in MD. We were directed here by many NOLA Residents. This is not in a tourist area by the way. They sell soul food as well.

Yelp
Lovingly referred to as the "Blue Store," the Seafood Store on N Broad is a New Orleans gem. This was my first time getting crawfish from them, and they did not disappoint. I ordered 3lbs of crawfish with sausage and potatoes. The crawfish was well seasoned with a spicy kick. And the staff was very friendly and helpful when I was deciding what to order.

Yelp
Groovey Highly Recommends!!! Luv this Place the Staff & owners are Totally Awesome!!! I buy my Corona here everyday after work !!! Alway s Ice Cold beer!!! There food portions are ridiculously Huge & very Tasty!!! As well as there prices are so cheap compared with the incredibly Yummy Vietnamese spices they bring !!! Yelp
The blue sto is definitely a must anytime we're in NOLA! The lines are long but they move quick and the food and prices are worth the wait.

Yelp
My husband and I googled good crawfish in New Orleans. We decided to try out the "blue store." There was not ample parking, so we had to find a place to park. Once we walked in, the smell of the crawfish hit us at the door, and I knew we were in for a treat. We waited in a 30 minute line to get food. We ordered 8 lbs of Crawfish, 2 Sausages, 1 Corn, 2 pounds of Fried Shrimp, 2 Turkey Necks, 1 Spicy Garlic Butter, and 5 Chicken Wings. I am a crawfish connoisseur, so every season I look for new places to try especially since moving to Nola from Baton Rouge/Lafayette area. I was really hoping that we would like the crawfish, but sadly we did not. The crawfish were juicy, but they were not flavorful. They were also purged well. They had no seasoning as well as the sausage. We tossed out about 4 pounds of crawfish unpeeled. The corn was good. It was sweet and warm. The fried shrimp and chicken were okay. My husband said the best part was his turkey necks. I would say that the prices for the food was good and the food looked like good quality. Sadly, we may not go back due to it being across town from our house. You should definitely check it out for yourself though some places are hit and miss.

Yelp
Little convenience store, they call it the "Blue Store" and sells hot plates and boiled seafood. I like their crawfish, it has a nice little flavor to them. To me it was a little on the expensive side like $5 and some change for 1lb of crawfish. I believe they take debit card as well. But I like to be safe and some places it's safe to just pay with cash.

Mega K.

Yelp
Yes they are open since 8:30 am, but all of the food is not ready until 11 am. I came here because of the recommendation from the local (they highly recommend the boiled crawfish). When I got into this place, yes there were some locals hanging out around the front of this place. Dont get intimated. They were friendly. The inside of this place smells like food heaven. I ended up buying a big array of food. Here is the list: 1 portion of fried wings (5) 1 slice of corn bread 2 small portion of fried shrimp (~50 shrimps!) 5 lbs of crawfish 1 small gumbo 1 small fried rice (but it was packed!) 3 pcs fried catfish Those came to $50! (this is already including taxes!) Remember that there is NO place to eat inside, these are all takeout. By the time I wrote this review, I just tasted the corn bread, wings, fried rice.. I really recommend you to try the corn bread. I think it was excellent, crunchy and soft at the same time! I will update you with the taste of their crawfish later on :-)

Yelp
This is where locals go. I'm not a local but that's who took me. Don't let the area or appearance fool you! It's the best gumbo I've had in Louisiana. I'm dropping a star because the boiled shrimp I ordered was terrible. The texture was off and they were bland. My kids liked the baked chicken legs. Just be sure to get the gumbo and you'll be happy!

Yelp
Jesus... First impression? Obscene portion sizes. You know those 3-part styrofoam clamshells? Normally someone puts a small main in the big section and sides elsewhere... Right off the bat, our guy piles the big section with a mass of mac-n-cheese that has the shell ready to break in half. Then he wedges the fish, which would have filled the big section, elsewhere. Then he adds a section of corn on the cob and grams down the lid. So moving on, the food is excellent. Fish and shrimp delicately fried in perfectly crispy breading, corn boiled in spiced water to add some bite, pasta alfredo the best I've had outside good Italian places. The green beans were awesome, boiled tender in ham broth with a few chunks of ham tossed in. And it cost like $9 per person. EDIT: Tried the gumbo today, also awesome

Yelp
I was a tourist visiting from South Florida. Had an Air BnB not far from here and was looking for seafood, can't remember if I found the place on Yelp, or Google Maps. Here's the deal... it's ghetto as hell. Owned by Vietnamese? (Who cares, just info) The line was out the store and down the sidewalk. I was the only white guy in line. Did I ever feel threatened or unsafe? Not at all... as a matter of fact, I think almost everyone around me in line was talking about the food. Got 2 lbs of crawfish, 2 sausages, and 10 wings for $21... This is our first visit here from South Florida and just came from Bourbon Street where we had some Po Boys, Oysters, and a nice meal for 6 for $180 I'm not exaggerating when I say the $21 from this place put bigger smiles on my family faces and my 7 yr old learned how to pinch the tail and suck the head. The food is off the chain. Stand in line, get to know the locals

Yelp
Bad area but food was hella good. Especially crawfish. Has so much flavor even with no sauce

Paul Y.

Yelp
This place is a true hidden gem. I've gone to a handful of the Cajun/Creole restaurants highly reviewed on yelp and their food doesn't even compete with N.B. Seafood. I am convinced a lot of the highly reviewed local restaurants were reviewed by tourists with very bland palates. The locals in this neighborhood don't yelp, so don't be swayed by the reviews of unadventurous tourists. You won't find better soul food in the neighborhood. We flew in from D.C. on a trip, and I wanted to eat local flavors at a local spot. My group was doubtful because it is inside a convenience store and there is no seating inside. But the food speaks for itself. If you're within a 1 mile radius of N.B. Seafood, challenge yourself to taste actual flavors instead of bland, tourist-friendly cuisine. You won't regret it.

Yelp
I came in here on my last day in New Orleans. A girl at Triangle Deli told me this was the best spot to get crawfish. She was friendly and looked like she recognized my madness, my hunt for the best crawfish. I was staying in the Gentilly area and actual drove past this little slice of heaven while on my E2 bus ride from the airport. I got in around 12:50pm and when it was my turn this cute Vietnamese looking guy told me there was no crawfish, but some would be coming out at 1pm. He advised me to grab a cardboard box to house my soon to be 5 pounds of crawfish (for $20!!!!!!!) and protect my lap from the juices that would be running down my thighs (too crude??) but seriously ladies and gents, protect your laps if you'll be eating in the car. While in New Orleans I learned that there is a huge Vietnamese population that came over after the Asian Immigration Act in the mid 1960s. I loved seeings shops were Vietnamese people were cooking delicious creole, cajun and Chinese food. Seeing the fushion of culture made me feel like it was a familiar piece of home being from a multicultural city from Los Angeles When I saw the glorious craw babies they were some of the biggest I've seen. The had a glorious color and the heat form just being pulled out of the boil sent the flavor through the roof for me. I was the happiest girl eating this crawfish in the car. These large fresh crawfish were just perfectly spiced with a mild amount of ass burning. My biggest regret is that i didn't come with an empty suitcase in New Orleans so I could have checked in all those delicious juicy crawfish on my way home. I knew the girl at Traingle Deli did me a favor that day, these were indeed the best crawfish I had in NOLA but everything else was a close second, very close second indeed.

Yelp
First stop every time I hit NOLA from the airport. Great local taste for cash and carry. Best place to grab a smorgasbord of food, dessert and drinks and take to your hotel and grub. Don't be put off by the local look of the place. Go in and get what you need and head out. ITS DELICIOUS!!!

Kristal D.

Yelp
I normally don't write reviews but this place I needed to write one! I love this place!!! Best food ever!!!! Found this place when I was there 3 years ago from my best friend. I was just here a few weeks ago. It was the first stop on our way to our Airbnb. I love this place so much, I froze some red beans & rice to bring back to California!

Bill R.

Yelp
I have lived in New Orleans for almost my entire life, and North Broad Seafood has some of the best boiled crawfish I've ever tasted. I popped in a little after 11am to get a quick lunch for my family, and I walked out with 3lbs of hot boiled crawfish for less than $15. The flavors are amazing; my entire family loved it. These crawfish are as good as it gets.

Teddy B.

Yelp
I visited this little spot spontaneously. I ordered the gumbo and a fried shrimp poboy. The gumbo came with rice and they asked if I wanted the crab included, which I added. The gumbo was really good!! The poboy was decent, unfortunately the shrimp wasnt that hot . This seemed to be a place where the locals go. I would definitely be back to try more

Elaine H.

Yelp
It's a true hole in a wall to go only place that has indeed the best crawfish at NOLA! Be prepared to stand in line when you come here but it's all worth the wait!

Ben T.

Yelp
If you are looking for the juiciest, most flavor packed boiled seafood in town, look no further ( shrimp, blue crab, crawfish & snow crab) This place is a hidden gem!! Prices are always on the low end when compared to other places in the city. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Poboys, gumbo, red beans & rice, BBQ ribs/chicken and so much more. Definitely a must try!!!
