Black Farmers in America Have Lost an Untold Amount of Land | Eater

"A North Carolina-based farm and educational program founded to improve perceptions of STEM and agricultural careers among young people; the academy enrolls a small cohort of students and combines hands-on food production with lessons in entrepreneurship and STEM, while producing honey and crops such as watermelons, squash and leafy greens for the local community." - Nadra Nittle

Out of the few dozen Colleges and Universities I've spent any amount of time on/at, NC A&T is amongst the top few. Great atmosphere, faculty/staff/support services that care and carry a positive vibe for the school. Bottom line, you're there because you WANT to be there, not because you settled. They have what counts and I see nothing but a positive forward direction.

I love this place! My niece just graduated with her Master's degree in Industrial Engineering Systems. She also got her Bachelor's degree here two years ago. This school is really enriching the lives of young black adults and empowering them to become positive leaders in the community. I am so proud of all the graduates that graduated on mother's Day May 9th and I hope all of them the best success and their future endeavors

Visiting from Virginia! My daughter and were here for AAU Junior Olympics! Campus is beautiful…staff that helped during the events were AMAZING during these hot outdoor activities for the two days we’ve attended!

A&T freshman orientation was off the chain. The campus is beautiful. ASL students were live and in charge! Excellent admin and staff throughout..

I was really hopeful with all of the good reviews and I truly hope the academics will be different than their admissions process. Our son's status has yet to be updated and is still being considered out of state even though the RDS system has already classified him as in state. Financial aid told me not to get worked up about and sit on my hands and wait or to sign an award letter that is incorrect. Admissions is saying they have no idea when it will be updated. So, my option is to sign an award letter with incorrect information and hope they change it once the status is eventually updated or to not sign it and then be on the hook for $40K of out of state tuition when we live in NC and are an active duty military family. Customer service needs significant improvement. Knowing that orientation is June 5th and we have already paid an enrollment deposit, so we are out of luck and out of options. I hope his experience as a student is better than the way they treat the parents.

If you're an undergraduate student looking for an excellent level of education and a lot of scholarships opportunities. Or, if you're a graduate student looking for a high level research school then look no further. North Carolina a&t State University is your best choice. The campus also is breathtaking and you'll have many activities during your studies.

North Carolina A&T offers an excellent learning environment. The campus is beautiful, and the staff are consistently supportive and helpful. I highly recommend this institution to anyone seeking quality education in a welcoming setting.

I was admitted to the university and received my acceptance letter about a week and a half before registration. I met with my advisor three days before registration began, received my PIN, and confirmed everything was in order. However, when I tried to register on the 19th (with the deadline being the 20th), the system wouldn’t let me—stating I wasn’t a student and needed to remit. I contacted admissions multiple times over the next week, but no one could help me. Everyone seemed confused and unsure. A week after registration closed, I called readmissions again, frustrated and ready to file a complaint. Only then was the issue resolved in under a minute. It turned out to be a simple fix that could have been handled much earlier. Due to this, I missed the deadline for Summer Session I. This was an incredibly frustrating experience caused by miscommunication and lack of support, and I hope the university addresses these issues moving forward.

Yelp
I am giving North Carolina A&T University a 5 star rating based on my experience being on campus for the very first time. It is not easy to navigate the campus, even with a map. The good news is that random students who were stopped by me several times were kind, cordial, and polite with their directions, allowing me to eventually find the venue and correct parking lot. I recognize the faces of creativity, passion, and loyalty for this institution. School spirit is strong on this campus and I was pleased to feel this, coming from the community.

Yelp
Campus is huge. I have the opportunity to have gone here for my undergrad years and now I have the pleasure to work here. There are some things that need to be worked on to get everything in order, but I love it. The team I am a part of is amazing. While they do have their issues prior to me being here, I am glad to be here!

Yelp
I had the worst experience when applying for a new position. The HR process was extremely slow even for temporary roles. I have worked in higher education before and I found this process the worst I have ever inquired in my entire career. I wouldn't recommend applying for temporary roles here. It was so bad that I had already completed my background check then the offer was rescinded and no one notified me in a timely manner.

Yelp
For an HBCU (Historically Black College/University), this is as good as it gets. The professors are stellar and are always willing to provide additional office hours or study groups to ensure that the knowledge is not lost but transferred. The admissions department is very strict with out-of-state students, but I think that is something to be admired. NC A&T is known worldwide for their outstanding Engineering program; however the Business department is nothing to be taken lightly. Students from all over are attracted to this university and the dynamics make for a very diverse and well-rounded university. It doesn't take long to realize how strong the Aggie Pride nation really is once you step on the campus.

Yelp
This is the most inspiring places to go to college. Especially for engineering because my cousin goes their and absolutely loves it! The people there are so welcoming that you will never want to leave and they have fun events like homecoming and they sometimes have parties while people are moving in and at nights. They have a nice hangover center and their are food spots and a lounge 3 floors and it is so modern and mostly yellow So I hope that this review has helped your college life decisions!

Yelp
Love! Love! Love this place and what it has to offer as an institution of higher learning. So much growth has been going on here and establishing ourselves as not only the best HBCU but one of the best school in the nation. There is so much pride from the faculty/ staff to students and alum. Visited the bookstore and was surprised by the good deals that are offered. Keep this up. I would recommend this university to anyone who wants to learn, have people pour into you and enjoy campus life.

Yelp
If you need the ULTIMATE Black College experience with highly credited and educated faculty and staff. This is the institution. I do not regret a thing about this university! AGGIE PRIDE!

Yelp
One of North Carolina's best providers of education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines. Offerings include graduate work to the doctoral level with comprehensive studies preparing for careers in research, education or industry. Athletics compete in Division 1 and football in the Football Championship Subdivision in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The mid-sized university still provides a small-campus feel with caring and attentive faculty and student centered programs offered by administrative staff.

Yelp
Best university ever. Professors are educational leaders and want the best for their students. The campus is beautiful. #aggiepride
