Loved my visit to the Brookfield Place viewpoint near 1 World Trade Center! The views of the Hudson River and Freedom Tower were absolutely stunning. The atmosphere was calm and refreshing a perfect spot for a scenic walk and to take in the beauty of the city. Highly recommend for a peaceful break in the middle of NYC.

North Cove Marina – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of NYC This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite places in all of New York. North Cove Marina, right next to Brookfield Place, feels like a peaceful escape that not many tourists know about — and maybe that’s what makes it so special. I love walking there around 5 PM, when the sun begins to set, the birds are singing, and the breeze from the Hudson feels like a gentle hug. The chairs by the marina are the perfect spot to sit down, breathe, and watch the world go by. One of my favorite rituals: grabbing a meal from the Brookfield Place food court (so many great options!) and bringing it out to the marina. Nothing is more comforting and soul-soothing than that little moment of calm with the water, the view, and the sounds of the city slowing down. The boats, the reflections on the water, the elegant yet laid-back vibe — everything here feels like a quiet luxury. This is where I’ve had some of my best moments in NYC, and I’ll always come back. 😍

It’s a beautiful place, and I had an incredible experience sailing with a view of the Statue of Liberty and New York City. There’s something truly special about the moment the sails open, the sound of the ocean, and the gentle ringing of buoys warning nearby ships.

We had a wonderful experience working with the team at North Cove Marina to host our event. Being able to provide full event rentals, catering, beverage, liquor permitting, and insurances was a breeze. Josh the marina manager during our event couldn't have made it easier!

It's a thrill to sail into New York harbor, past the Statue of Liberty, and then dock your boat next to the megayachts, right under the Freedom Tower in New York City in North Cove Marina. An expensive thrill. This is also the marina that was right beside the twin towers and that was used to rescue and ferry people away from that tragedy on 9/11. For us, this marina was worth every penny because it allowed an elderly wheelchair bound NYC relative to visit our boat because of the access it afforded. And there was nothing better than hanging out on our sailboat, Golden Glow, at Happy Hour in such a special place...for a brief visit.

This is the most amazing marina we have docked after 3 circumnavigations around the world. The place is beautiful, and a real New York feeling! Safe, with restaurants, shopping and sport and cultural venues all around it was a pleasure our stay here for the 4th of July 22! Thanks IGY staff and new Yorkers!

Google
Absolutely beautiful location. I had to have my picture taken here right where the yacht was docked in that iconic scene in Wolf of Wall Street. It was such a lovely sunny day when I visited, I should've hung around here for hours. Nice view of Jersey City from here too. Surprisingly quiet when I visited, but I'm not complaining.

Yelp
North Cove Marina is the perfect marina in lower Manhattan to dock your yacht. You can dock up to 150 meters length super yacht, of course, with a skilled captain at the helm and perfect crew. Many moguls dock here in the warmer months. Plus there are a few yacht clubs for racing and sailing lessons. The colossal city scape view, as always, is spectacular, especially at night. The neighborhoods of Tribeca and Battery Park are pristine with much to do, there are plenty of tourists amongst the locals. Dining in one of the many restaurants outdoors is a good way to take in the view before or after you set sail. Bon voyage ! Happy sailing!

Yelp
Nice area but not a great location for a marina - continuous passing freight ships and ferries make even large super Yachts bounce against the dock 24/7. Much better at Liberty Landing Marina across the river, which is larger and protected - flat calm and comfortable!

Yelp
I find myself down here every trip into the city, if it's nice out lunch outside, some time to check out the boats and then a walk north along the river to the Highline then back to the river all the way up to the UWS. Each neighborhood as you go through has it's own character. Although many people start here and walk north, don't miss out continuing south around the tip of Manhattan, the view will take your breath away, and some time spent in Battery Gardens will restore your spirit. From there stroll through the historic streets, take in one of the specialty museums, walk the Brooklyn Bridge or ride the ferry to Staten Island, it's free too! I know this review covers much more than the marina, however for me it's the starting point to a great day. I've been out here when the weather is at it's best and when it's brutally cold and icy, it's always perfect to me. I know many people consider Manhattan, too busy, noisy, dirty, etc., my answer to that is they're only seeing the negative, and they need to expand their horizons and head to the water and the parks, your perspective will change.

Yelp
STREB performance at Brookfield Place. Free performances this weekend. Fun show, plenty of food options close by and great weather. Big crowds but there is plenty of room for everyone. Enjoy your Memorial Day Week

Yelp
My bestfriend decided to rent a yacht for her birthday and it was amazing. The yacht picks you up from this location and takes you for a ride around he waters and stay the of Liberty for about 3hours. The water was rocky and I needed up getting sea sick, which was very weird since I have been on carnival cruises a number of times. But the owner of the boat told me it was probably because the boat was small and on small boats you feel EVERYTHING! On the big boats such as carnival boats, you don't feel anything when the water is choppy unless it's severe waters during particular seasons. Overall the experience was lovely!

Yelp
[New York] A world away from a sticky suffocating New York summer. Those days where your skin feels like its covered with a thin film of perspiration and urban dirt, where the whole city seems to be marinating in a slurry of concrete, grime, and human sweat. Some people escape that oppressive summer heat to the seaside social zoo known as the Hamptons. Me? Who needs the Hampton Jitney when the 1 train can whisk me away to seawater, sailboat, and freedom. The perfect breeze to set sail, a chilled bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, a fiery setting sun, a sailboat full of friends. A perfect summer day, all without leaving Manhattan. With only about 20 slips reserved for some very impressive private yachts and sailboats, the well-kept North Shore Marina is primarily limited to the well-heeled owners and their (very appreciative) guests. However, the Manhattan Sailing Club and School also hosts a fleet of boats at the marina. Although the price is high, membership is open to all that can foot the bill. And boat or no, an evening stroll along the waterfront by the marina is a great way in of itself to escape the city steam. Sailing school: http://www.yelp.com/biz/WePxjfpz8h63LEZRCCjEpQ.

Yelp
Came here for a night walk after dinner. Night views with shining bright lights is always a better view (to me), and it was such a sight to see! The New Jersey night view and the surrounding area of the Hudson river and park was just an awesome atmosphere. There's walk paths, bike lanes, a couple of billiard tables, mini golfing, skate park, grass sections for hanging out, and soccer designated section within short walking distance of the Marina. Definitely a nice setting to go on a nice or romantic walk with a loved one.

Yelp
There are some sweet boats here. I believe the going rate is $6/foot/day. I asked about their biggest motor yacht. "It's owned by some car guy in brooklyn. He has a lot of money." Indeed.

Yelp
Relaxing lunch spot to look at sailboats and enjoy a quick bite either from food trucks or quality burger which has good service in comparison to oxaca grill.

Yelp
Gorgeous yachts and sailboats nestled in a well groomed marina adjacent to a beautiful park. A beautiful view of New Jersey and the Hudson and lots of people running, walking their dogs, playing volleyball, and dining at restaurants with outside seating. Awesome.

Yelp
A beautiful oasis in the world trade financial district, the marina is lined with restaurants overlooking the harbor. The Manhattan sailing School also offers sailing lessons from this location. Its an interesting view for a walk, or for the more adventurous a great place to sail from.

Yelp
I come down here when I need to see the sky and feel the salty breeze on my cheeks. It's awesome.

Yelp
The best kept secret in Manhattan. I only gave four stars simply due to the lack of a beach (although there is beach volleyball next door). I sail out of here, dine here, meet for cocktails here and generally escape from New York here. This is one of the best places to watch the sun set and even though it's close to Ground Zero, not that many tourists to get in the way.

Yelp
For boaters, unless you are bringing in a 74 foot plus yacht, skip this marina. The wave action from passing ferry's is unreal. No security, no bathrooms, no showers. The electric didn't work. I'm most surprised that Dennis Conner would associate his name with this marina.
