Very nice bar with cool people, good food and nice atmosphere. Were here on a football game day and had a blast. Highly recommended.

Loved the gypsy soup which is like their take on a tortilla soup. Hubby had the 1 burritos for breakfast.

Found this gem checking out the southwest beaches of LA! I stopped in for a beer to find the dopest patio and sports bar! Indoor and outdoor seating with shading available! TVs and Pool Table inside. Super friendly local staff. Highly recommend to go with friends and have a nice sunny drink

I’m visiting from Atlanta and have heard all of my friends in Hermosa talk about this place. I finally got to experience it for my friend Lizzie’s birthday this past Saturday for the Lions game. Cody the bartender made me feel like a regular for my first visit and I had a blast. I’m currently here today (2 days later) because of my great first experience.

I have tried to visit here on 3 separate occasions and each time, was met with the most unfriendly, unwelcoming attitude as if I was inconveniencing the staff. Today we walked in a patiently stood by what looked to be a host desk to be seated or for further direction and were flat out completely ignored. Several people walked in behind us and were immediately greeted and acknowledged. Feeling very uncomfortable we left. As a local, I really wanted to give this place a shot because I’ve heard the food is great and it’s a neighborhood spot. Not gonna fool me again. Such a shame.

First time here it's okay service atmosphere cleanliness etcetera and to maintain. During Happy Hour keep all menu items under $20 per menu item and before thereafter depending on but not to exceed $30 per menu item. Tip is standard 15 percent and then thereafter decided by the customer also including discounts and coupons in restaurant and all other methods. Stated this and not just here and am correct in doing so. After this say no more I do initially only and or if I have reasons from here to do so I do only now for a very few places that I have not and now currently 99 percent of total businesses are aware this includes previously to currently. For this businesses that do not have email addresses and or forms to fill out them reviews are read instead no problem to explain. This goes for all locations Los Angeles California and surrounding and different States Areas Locations can vary some.

We visited based on other recommendations and we were not disappointed. The folks who tended to us were friendly and prompt. The food was great and a quick minute walk to the beach. Can’t beat it.

Great neighborhood grill and bar! Excellent food and service. VERY reasonably priced ($13 for burger and fries). The burger was the best I’ve had this year. My wife really enjoyed her grilled salmon.

Buffalo chicken tenders are my wife's all time favorite and they've become mine. Excellent spot to watch LA Kings games. Solid outdoor patio. Friendly staff. I proudly wear a North End hat.

This local dive-y bar and restaurant is a great casual spot to stop for a bite or drink. Their menu is pretty large and reasonably priced with both breakfast and lunch/dinner options. They also have a huge drink menu and specials. The food was filling and the service was quick! Separate from the indoor bar, they have an outdoor patio in the front, so you can easily bring pets or your bike while you eat.

This bar/location is a longstanding watering hole in Manhattan Beach, it was Critters prior to becoming The North End Bar & Grill. Over the years I've been here several times, it is akin to a local dive bar. It is also a proud Kings hockey domain on game nights. During the summer, or, on a nice day/night they have a basic outside patio area, which is adjacent to the front door and optimal as a hydration station. This has been a stop for me on my bike rides during the day, and a last call option at night. The bar itself is smallish, but has a few offshoot rooms, one has a red felt pool table and several stools (12) along the walls, and another is just a little cubby hole. They otherwise have 20+ stools around the circular bar and several (10?) high-top tables that can accommodate 4-5 people. The biggest challenge here is that it can get crowded, and you will need to place drink/food orders through the bartenders, so don't always expect table service. Reading the reviews, this challenge is often seen as poor customer service, and I understand why. You really need to have a chillax attitude here. On my most recent visit (12/19) my group came to watch the Kings beat San Jose, 4-1. GKG! However, it took them a bit to get the Kings game on. Apparently, they utilize DirecTv, and on this night, the game was on Hulu/ESPN+ only. It resulted in a patron getting behind the bar to help solve the problem BUT resulted in the game being shown on one television only. Understandably, people, errrr fans, were annoyed. On the upside, my friend described their food as, MUCH BETTER THAN BAR FOOD, and he is correct. A lot of locals enjoy coming here for dinner, and I understand why, the food is really good. On this night I crushed the North End Burger, which was cooked to perfection, and they NAILED the tater tots, golden brown and perfectly crispy. The side garnish items for the burger were also really fresh. Top shelf burger! My friends had the salmon which was reportedly delicious and the Turkey Club which also got rave reviews. Bottom line, the food here is really good. My night had a little stumble at the end, Kayla, who had been attentive and friendly throughout was annoyed with me when I asked if I could cash out our tab at her convenience. I'm a polite individual, and I was in no rush, I was simply wanting to express my long-term need to cash out. My inquiry got a terse reply, "As you can see, I'm cleaning glasses!" I never did see Kayla again or get my final tab from her. Maybe I caught her at the wrong time, but the interaction was oddly frothy.

I was looking for a drink priced less than $16 and Yelp didn't steer me wrong with this great spot. Friendly neighborhood bar and grill, a few patrons sprinkled throughout on a Monday night at 7:00. After a couple of rum and Cokes, I decided I was hungry. I found a salmon dinner on the menu for about $20 less than I would have paid a couple blocks over on the pier. I was thrilled with the side dish options and chose the salmon blackened with sweet potato fries and sauteed spinach. It was excellent! I read a review that said this was 'better than bar food' and I agree! Even their homemade ranch was spectacular, so give them a try!

So much fun! Great crowd of down to earth people enjoying good food and drink at reasonable prices. The staff is awesome!

Food 4.5 star Ambiance 3.5 star Service 1 star I've been here several times but I have to admit the last two times the service has not been good at all. We sat down outside and had to get up to get a waiter to come out and clean the table. Then again we had to get up and go inside to get the waiter to come out and take our order. Once our food was delivered no one ever came back to check and see if we needed anything. I think it was because we did not order alcoholic drinks because everyone around us they were all drinking alcoholic beverages, we're all being waited on again and again. The food here is always good so once we finished eating again we had to go inside to order the ice cream cookie which we had already told our waiter we were going to order but he never bothered checking on our table so we finally got our cookie and yes those are delicious! And then again we had to go inside to get the bill! I was almost tempted to just walk away, I'm sure they would have never noticed .

Best locals bar , good food cool staff and mellow vibe, fills up fast on weekends and evenings with sports .. otherwise lots of locals and who are freindly and cool

North End is a whole vibe! The service is 5 stars. The food (especially for the price) is a delicious 5 stars (I had the Caesar salad wrap with sweet potato fries -- highly recommend!) and I don't know why we don't walk here more often.

Stopped on the weekend for brunch. Nice outdoor seating arrangement - it's got the more local, beach vibe so not super fancy. The pub/indoor area looked busy even at noon so am guessing people mostly hang out to drink or watch games. We ordered chilli tater tots bowl & huevas rancheros...the food was just okay. Wouldn't mind hanging again for the ambience, but not the food!

Love this place. Total local joint, good food, reasonably priced drinks. 0 tourists. Broccoli cheese soup and off menu grilled cheese - money. Fun little joint where everyone seems to know each other. I don't know them, not a regular, but I appreciate it.

Honestly this review is well overdue. I have been a regular patron for about a year now and to be frank, I don't know what took me so long and why. The service for me personally has always been phenomenal but recently seeing Julian and his chill personality really makes it worth the visit. Food is always delicious. So good I never get to take a picture. Flavoring is incredible. Along with their generous portions. I'm very big on dive bars and finding my foreverhome and you can't go wrong. The ambiance is definitely local spot drama free and very inviting.

A dive-y little sports bar ting that's honestly kind of a lowkey banger. Parking isn't the greatest - you have to get lucky in regards to metered street parking, but it isn't impossible if you come early. Seating is available both indoor and out, and the bar is dog-friendly (as far as I observed). Food: - Caesar Wrap Salad: Nothing to write home about. Very light - I suggest adding protein. - Sweet Potato Fries: BOMB. Was in love. - Macaroni Salad: Lovely. This spot is on the smaller side and gets semi-packed, so if you aren't comfortable with that, it isn't for you. Another thing - they don't check COVID vaccinations.

Great place to watch pro games. Great atmosphere and great brisket burger. Plus it's a great local place.

Love this place! It's the perfect place to stop when you're on a beach bike ride. We always sit outside and love all the different specials. Their ranch dressing and buffalo sauce are both really delicious. The staff is really kind and attentive. We always feel welcome. I love the chicken tenders, tater tots, Caesar salad, and buffalo chicken sandwich.

Great food. Great prices. Never had anything I didn't like but the Asian chicken salad is my go to.

Terrible service, horrible food, good views, nice weather! Came here on a Sunday to watch the game. Nobody showed up to take the order despite asking several times for service.

Food is good and affordable. Although mostly a bar, our family grabbed lunch here a few times while visiting. There are outside tables since the bar gets loud and busy. Ordering was slow but you can also do so on the app.

One of the best beachy, locals, sports bar in all of the South Bay!! GO KINGS GO!!! There's Street parking that is metered, but totally worth it. Very tasty bar food and daily specials that are great and super reasonable $ Outdoor patio is nice and comfortable The place is crowded and fun on nights with local games being shown. They let dogs sit at the bar where people eat-- they have a no pets allowed but they are up at the bar, go into the kitchen, and also sit at the tables -- it would be so great if they didn't let pets into the bar

Tuesday afternoon, I came in to visit with my wife. We were happily greeted by a handsome fellow named Milo. Drink orders were offered promptly, I got a Cadillac Margarita and my wife got the regular margarita. Also with a shot a Clase Azul, very impressed when a place offers high end liquor. Both drinks were amazing and delicious. The decor was like a typical sports bar, they also have a billards table. Bartender at the time was a little busy but soon came to get our food order. We both shared the Carnitas Quesadilla and the grilled Salmon plate. The Quesadilla was pretty big but very delicious with the avocado and Jalapeños inside, the salsa on the side wasn't up to par for my liking but I would still give this dish a 4/5 stars. The Salmon dish was just as good, a little dense but still had good flavors with the blackened spice and the mashed potatoes were well seasoned, fluffy, and buttery. The spinach was a little plain but overall I give it a 4/5 stars. Milo is a superstar here, he was very attentive, charismatic, and gracious. He made us feel like long time friends. I would definitely recommend this place for some fun vibes and delicious food. Thank you to Milo and the rest of the staff!!!!

Dogs jump up at the bar and owners sit them on the bar top-- I've only seen one employee to tell someone that's not allowed. Then people also have the dog sitting on the bar stools at the table so their paws are also all over the table

Love this place - North End Bar & Grill! Why? It's a divey spot with a fun vibe, cold beer, good food and friendly (sometimes inefficient) service. I enjoy a good place to hide out and swill a few brews, then eat GOOD bar grub when I'm hungry - NEB & G is the spot! Add some TVs with sports and a pool table for people watching and you have a winning combo. 5 (divey) stars!

North End has the greatest bar food in the South Bay. Baby Back Ribs are some of the best I've had in LA (fall off the bone style), and they have five diff kinds of quesadillas here that are all top notch. Nightly specials on a chalk board, even healthy stuff like grilled salmon and all that. Tables are limited. Prices are fair. People drink heavy here and watch sports - it's not uptight. So if you are an uptight person looking for that uptight scene go somewhere else.

Been visiting annually from East Coast for 20 years. This year was first and only disappointment. Bar maid this evening was not nice and had very poor attitude. (Politely) asked question about bar tab for group of 4 and reply was " give me whatever you want - 5, 20, 30, but this is what you owe". Won't go back after 20 years. Will miss it, because everything else - other bartenders, patrons, and food/drinks have been outstanding (historically)..

Great food/service, yet suspect with the one of their staff, due to snagging my sunglasses.-roll your cameras back and you'll literally see I am not full of shit. -occurrence on 6/15/23, around 4:00 pm or so. I like this place, so I feel bad for the 1 star, but one of the employees is no bueno. That's all I got...

Draft beers are nice! You can play billard. This area some how relaxing in comparison with Santa Monica.

Post-dinner nightcap (or two!) And to snack on...Garlic Fries which were really tasty and garlicky! Friendly bartenders and staff. Lots of patio space. Watch your time as its street metered parking.

Dane's got that Great Dane dawg in him. Gavin is another dawg. Ben is another dawg. Jack is another dawg. Ron is another dawg. The north end has a bunch of dawgs for bartenders this place is awesome and a chill vibe and great food!

Love this local bar, the food is absolutely delicious and worth a taste. The men running the kitchen are top quality chefs and create awesome home cooked dishes that can't be beat, and are priced well below the typical SoCal cost of living. Heavy drinks, great food and fun staff make it a must.

Came in on Saturday around sunset. The whole staff was very nice, had the server with the "leaf" :) earrings -- she was the coolest! Both servers were super sweet. Also wanted to thank you the busser (I think he was a busser?) wearing black, he really went above and beyond for us and I really appreciate it! ALSO the bouncer was very nice and welcoming! I've worked in service for a long time and...LISTEN EVERYONE... it's a hardcore job dealing w/the public. You're not entitled to everything being perfect and people bending over backwards for you, so appreciate the humans who do!!

Really fun local bar! The steak sandwich is exceptional. The bar tenders are super fun, there is a pair of twins that bartend here which makes it extra fun when getting drinks. However the manager sometimes seems to be on a bit of a power trip and takes forever when checking ids. Sometimes he even checks multiple times.

Still a cool bar 1st visit since '87...but the food was a pleasant surprise and Christina and her buddy at the bar were sweet. We got the ribeye cheesesteak with garlic fries and the meatball parm special with tots. Both sandwiches came on good, soft but slight toast crunch, medium ribeye with fresh onions and peppers and American cheese and fresh halves of meatball, fresh mozzarella and a solid sauce. Tasties all around complemented by crunchy garlic fries and tots. Will be back!

I just wanna be back drinking Pacifico's with my pals. First timer here this past weekend and did not disappoint! Staff was very friendly - basically BFF now. Local bar regular Mark we tossed back a couple Tequilas together. I love Bar but even Grill was great! AND cell phone usage is allowed! Pitchers were flowing and vibes were high, Rams lost but i got to play game catch in bar and even fell in love. Cheers!

North End is our spot! My bf, best friends and I eat here at least 3 times a week and it never gets old. The always changing specials are delicious and the staff is great! They always know what I'm drinking and usually what special I will want to order. Kristina, Dom & Julian are the best! Extremely attentive, friendly and all very good-looking. Having staff that makes you feel at home is something rare to find and they hit the nail on the head at North End. There's no place like it in Hermosa!

Been here a few times now and the food has always been delicious. The service however is hit or miss. The only person that has ever acknowledged my existence was Jack - who has always been so kind and genuine. Kyle on the other hand was quite the opposite. Very dismissive and makes you feel like a ghost. 5 stars for jack and the food, -1 star for Kyle.

Fav neighbor hood South Bay, laid back atmosphere, always has games on. Great staff, awesome food. First come first serve table service outside too.

Best food, great energy, amazing staff...my favorite lil spot in the South Bay. Get the Blackened salmon with mashed potatoes or blackened shrimp Ceaser wrap and thank me later! Also best tater tots you'll ever have, generous portions bring yo appetite! The guys creating these awesome dishes are sooo talented and creative. Also super cute dog friendly patio, steps from the beach.

Love the food here and when the men bartenders are working everything is great. But today I called in a good order and was hung up on before I could even speak. I get there and there are two blonde ladies working, one takes my order but seems unhappy about it, then the cook himself comes out and hands me my bag of food which was really tasty by the way, so I look for my server and she must have been in the back or something so I tried to pay the other lady and she flat out ignored me and there were only about 8 people total in the bar two of whom she was talking to. She made sure to make eye contact and continue to ignore me so I ended up just going into the kitchen to hang the cook the money. Very rude and clicky type of servers. Like I said before I've never had this problem with the men bartenders here. Smh
