I was visiting my sister in Atlanta. We decided to come here for dinner on a Thursday night. It was fairly crowded, and there was plenty of outdoor seating. Our waitress (I forgot her name) was great! The customer service was excellent. Now onto the food, we ordered:
Bread with olive oil- we ordered this as an appetizer. It was $8 for 4 pieces of bread, swimming in a plate of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. This is very overpriced, IMO. On the menu it said it was made with "good olive oil," which I couldn't taste because there was so much balsamic vinegar mixed in. Personally, I felt the description of this dish should include balsamic vinegar, since that's most of what I tasted. Did not enjoy this, very overpriced, would not order again. 2/10
A glass of Montepulciano D'Abruzzo- good red wine, enjoyed. 8/10
Lumache with fennel sausage and cream sauce- this was a weekly special dish. Overall, it was fine, but not the best pasta I've ever had. 6.5/10.
Dark chocolate budino- me and my sister originally wanted to order their seasonal pumpkin praline cake for dessert, but unfortunately they were out of it, which was disappointing. Instead we decided on the budino, which was a dark chocolate pudding with amarena cherries, chocolate crunchies, and a pine nut cookie. It was good. 7/10.
My sister ordered the pork Milanese, which she said was dry, and for almost $30 and no side included, we thought was overpriced.
Overall, nothing I ate was bad, but nothing wowed me either, and for the quality and portions it was overpriced. Coming from the Northeast, where there is a plethora of good Italian food, it definitely didn't compare. The best part of the meal was the service. I don't think I would come back, unfortunately.
