North Italia is a restaurant located in the Domain, near the pink garage.
We decided to go to it on a whim, after a movie, and because there was a storm-a-brewing' that night. Walking from the pink garage to the restaurant, we passed by a large line of people waiting to get into a stand-up comedy show.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were offered a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Outdoor seemed quieter, but they stated there would be a 30 minute wait, on a Friday at 9pm. Indoors was quite loud, also featuring a wait. But we could be seated at the high tops in the bar area. Due to hunger, we opted to sit at the high top.
We browsed the menu and settled on the Heirloom Tomato & Burrata, the Bolognese, and the Squid Ink Tonnarelli. Our order was taken care of by the bartender, who was quite good at multitasking, taking care of those seated at the bar, as well as all those on the high tops. Bathrooms were clean enough.
Food came quick. The bolognese was yum. The burrata was a great combo of sweet tomatoes, slightly spicy drizzle, mint leaves, and crisps. The squid ink pasta was spicy and salty, but not in a particularly satisfying way.
Upon meal completion, you'll be handed a check. Since the place is quite busy, there is an option for mobile checkout via scanning a QR code. Saves time for yourself and the front-of-house restaurant staff. Efficient.
