Modern Italian Eatery Joins the Mix at One Paseo - Eater San Diego

"One Paseo is steadily filling in with restaurants and shops; the latest, North Italia, opens today. San Diego diners are likely familiar with the eatery, which first landed in Fashion Valley last fall. It’s one of several local eateries, including Flower Child in Del Mar and Blanco Tacos + Tequila, run by Fox Restaurant Group; another restaurant and bar, called The Henry, is coming to Coronado later this summer. North Italia Carmel Valley will be open at 11 a.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends, serving lunch, dinner, and brunch in a 5,110-square-foot space that includes a ton of outdoor dining options. Executed by head chef Seth Vider (Red O), the modern Italian menu changes seasonally but always includes pizza and freshly-made pasta along with salads, starters, and entrees like diver scallops with sweet corn risotto and chicken parmesan. There’s a weekday happy hour, with select bites and $5 wine and beer from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., but bar offers a specialty cocktail list that ranges from a classic Aperol Spritz to the Amaro D’Amici, a mix of bourbon, Fernet Branca, clover honey, and bitters." - Candice Woo

Celebrated a birthday at North Italia this Sunday. It was easy to request a reservation. We had 6 people and a high chair. Our favorite dishes were the white truffle garlic bread shared plate. And the vegetable salad. I could eat that every single day. We also ordered a kids grilled chicken Alfredo, large helping for kids size. We ordered a margherita pizza for the table. We made it tie dye and added bomba style. This adds a side of burrata cheese with some Calabrian chili - excellent!! Do not pass on the bomba style. Our spicy rigatoni vodka pasta is a split portion as we shared it. We were a little disappointed with the flavor profile of the vodka pasta but it was still good. It was loud and very busy. But our service was great. Misses one service star because it took a very long time to get our food. All that said we will absolutely be back enjoyed our time at North Italia! Worth noting: this restaurant is pricey but cheaper than some of the other more expensive well known Italian restaurants in Denver / Cherry Creek. However, we all felt that it was better in every way. Having a young child in the restaurant was easy and not made to feel like a burden. Restrooms were very clean. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. Street parking is free on Sundays and there is a paid garage right across the street.

We came here for my daughters birthday! Super cute place. The crowd noise was loud and lively. We ordered the white truffle garlic bread (a must!) The chicken parm and the salmon. They do kindly split the chicken parm into 2 plates free of charge! We also ordered a margarita pizza for the table (tie die) Josie, our server, was delightful. I believe it was good food/atmosphere/service for the price.

Google
Excellent restaurant. The food is outstanding and I can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. We ordered the short rib’s entree (very tender), the papardelle (bolognese) and the squid ink tonnarelli. All delicious. Portions are on the smaller side, so we ended up getting the truffle bread (rich but yum). Friendly service and great casual ambiance. We didn’t order cocktails but will next time, as the ones buzzing around looked appealing.

Google
Ignore the ugly photos and trust me. We were all too excited to eat. Food’s delicious and service was excellent. On the more expensive end but I feel like it was reasonably priced for the portions and the area it’s in. We didn’t have a reservation and would have had to wait 30-45 min for a table but they had a bar area that was seat yourself so we sat right away, which was nice. The pastas were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The salads had great texture and were fresh. I think I was most excited for the dessert but it was honestly the most underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong it was good but the menu made it sound more fancy/unique than it is. It was basically a malasada (iykyk).

Google
The Food is comparable to the prices: Average. Not more, not less. The service is very good. Will I come again? No, you can eat Italian like this in hundred more restaurants in Denver. If you are looking for an upscale italien dish, there are two restaurants in this town.

Google
Appetizer was the smoked salmon on avocado toast. It was ok. The caprese sandwich was good and for dessert the Tiramisù with the chocolate pearls was the highlight. Overall its a 4... we would eat there again and try something different on the menu just to try something different. 👍

Google
The ambiance is great. I first discovered this restaurant in AZ I love the wild scampi it’s my go to every time. Was so excited when I moved to Colorado and found out there is a location here in Denver. We had a great server last night Josie! Thank you for a great evening a great date night was had. Oh and the cocktails are delicious ❤️👏

Google
I went there to celebrate my graduation we had 5 people total. Two of the people ordered squid ink pasta, they took a bite and noticed it was not cooked all the way thru. We brought it up to our waiter and he was able to correct the issue. The food was so delicious and we all left full. The desserts were also so good. The staff were very friendly and helped fix the problem.

Yelp
** Italian Dining at Its Best!** Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at North Italia, and it was an experience to remember! My wife couldn't stop raving about the Bolognese - she said it was one of the best meals she's ever had, and that's high praise coming from someone with several chefs in the family! Our evening was made even more special by Mackenzie, our wonderful waitress. She expertly guided us through the wine selection and recommended dishes that were absolutely delightful. We even had to speak to Brennan, the manager, to thank him personally for the amazing food and service. It truly was a night to remember. If you're looking for a casual yet unforgettable dining experience, you have to check out North Italia. Trust us, you won't be disappointed! #NorthItalia #FoodieFavorites #BestBolognese #AmazingService #WineAndDine #DateNight #CasualDining #FoodLoversParadise

Yelp
We have brought nearly every out of town guest to eat here, and shared many special moments with friends and family. Last night was no exception. We didn't have a reservation but snagged an open hightop by the bar. We ordered: grilled truffle garlic bread chicken pesto chicken parmigiana Everything was good but chicken parm was next level top tier. Highly recommend obviously.

Yelp
EVERYONE at work told me to try North Itialia and since my boyfriend and I were going to be spending a weekend in Denver I thought, "why not!" I haven't had Italian food in quite some time. So i looked them up on Yelp and instantly decided this is where our next Denver date night will be at! From the hostess to the server-we had the absolute best served the three girls that helped us were so sweet and so nice! So we were already off to a wonderful start. Not only was the restaurant beautiful but the presentation of everything that was brought to us was beautiful!!!!! I totally forgot to take a picture of my "New Italian" which is the restaurants take on an apple spritz! It was soooo good i ordered two and could have ordered a third if i didn't have a concert to attend that night! For started we got the white truffle garlic bread with what I assumed was some whip butter..... WOW nothing will ever compare to that ever. That was unbelievably good. My boyfriend and I faces lit up when we took a bite. Do not skip on this. It was ridiculous. For our entries my boyfriend had ordered the chicken Parmesan. Again, I totally forgot to take a picture of it but also too as soon as it got in front of them, he instantly started to dig in. It was massive if you're looking for a giant meal I highly recommend ordering it according to him it was one of the best chicken Parmesan he'd ever ordered. Also, I believe him because he finishes his dish before me and his was probably twice the size of mine! He said that will be hard to come back and try something different because he loved the chicken Parmesan so much. For my entrée, I ordered the squid in pasta which had calamari and shrimp on top of it, as well as a beautiful sauce and fresh basil. Not only was exactly what I wanted to order, but it was so simple and so sweet and so delicious that again. I also have a difficult time ordering anything else, but that when I return to North Italia. Out of all the restaurants that I have eaten since moving to Colorado last December, I can't wait to come back and try other items from your menu or eat exactly what I ordered last time but all I know is we'll be back very very very very soon !!!!!

Yelp
I didn't get to eat here, so I couldn't tell you how the food was. I wanted to eat here, and there were no persons at the hostess table when entering, but I was so incredibly turned off by the fact that there were SIX hostesses (and one host) standing there at the front, and they all stood there looking like they walked out of an Anthropologie or Urban Outfitters ad, but were staring into oblivion with a bad case of RBF and not one iota of a welcoming vibe. We stood there - confused, said "hello," and not one of them welcomed us. I don't give my business to places (or people) with those vibes. We walked out and went somewhere else.

Yelp
I have passed by North Italia multiple times and it is always busy. We made a reservation for a Friday night girls dinner, it was already busy when we arrived and continued until we left. We each got a glass of wine, they have a large by the glass selection from red, wine, and rose. I opted for a Savigon blanc from New Zealand, it was a bit sweet which I was not expecting but, was still delicious. We split the bread with ricotta appetizer, don't skip this one! It was recommend to me by a friend and I devoured it. We each got our own dishes, Tuscan Kale salad and Prosciutto Pizza. The pizza was light and refreshing with goat cheese, figs, arugula, and prosciutto. I will say there could have been a little more goat cheese and prosciutto. The crust has a hint of garlic flavor and was thin but soft. Cooked perfectly. I want to go back and try a few more apps and a pasta dish.

Yelp
They split our pasta dish and we shared the margarita, tie die style! Highly recommend this to add a little pizzazz! Pro-tip: the high tops in the bar are open seating!

Yelp
Stunning restaurant in a nice shopping area with all the trees lit up with lights. I came here right after I got off my flight last night so it's the first restaurant I've tried in Denver. There were no issues for walk in for Monday night, but the restaurant was still quite filled and had a lively ambiance at 9pm. Really kind service since I asked for extra lemons for my throat and extra Parmesan just because more is better lol The white truffle garlic bread was impeccable! And for $14?! white truffle would've made this appetizer at least double the price in LA. The spicy rigatoni pasta had the perfect heat, well flavored. The prosciutto pizza was delicious as well, but not the best I've tried. Overall experience was top notch and I'm very excited for the rest of my foodventure in Denver

Yelp
The food is bright and flavorful, while the atmosphere is light and cozy. A wonderful brunch or midday get away

Yelp
Host and server were nice. We went for our anniversary this evening ands was seated at a table with dirty seats. It was as if the busser knocked the crumbs from the table into the chairs and floor. Then my water cup was dirty. We hadn't been in a few years to this location Ave found out this visit that they changed some preparation to the menu items. Unfortunately, this wasn't an anniversary visit I thought I'd look forward to The shrimp scampi was the best and I loved that our waitress help me order a custom drink from the bar

Yelp
Abysmal service at the bar for lunch today. Zero attention from the bartender or other support staff behind the bar. Wait time to order and also for food to arrive was very slow, zero attempts to check on how my meal was going (poorly) and took over 20 minutes to get someone to close my ticket. No cream and sugar with the coffee despite asking several times. By the time I got any the coffee was already cold. Worst Bloody Mary I've ever had, bar none. Would have loved to let the bartender know so she could fix it but she couldn't be bothered to look my way despite trying to get her attention for almost the full hour I was there. Food was fine as usual, but with the service, all around disappointing to the point of making me fairly angry. Looks like my patronage at North has come to an end.

Yelp
Adrian was my server and he deserves five stars and a big tip. My favorite dish is Italian restaurant though or as part of evaluating the food is the Bolognese pasta. I will give it 4 stars. I also had a glass of the $18 Italian wine, which was the specialty and it was excellent I would give them overall 4 1/2 stars

Yelp
Though I'm typically wary of chain Italian, North is a tried and true favorite. We popped in for a last minute birthday dinner. We ran a bit late due to holiday traffic and staff was extremely accommodating! Meter parking was a breeze. Our server (Madeline?) crushed it. Such a sweetheart. I was also really happy to see mocktail options! The white truffle garlic bread is unreal every damn time. I have to use every ounce of self restraint not to body the entire plate and spoil my meal. It's so tasty. I had the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni. Noodles were yummy but the dish was a bit watery and bland. My partner had the bolognese with gluten free noodles and he was thrilled! Surprise highlight was the seasonal buttercake. Pumpkin spice, cream cheese frosting, caramel, cinnamon sugar crumble, vanilla gelato. I thought about licking the plate. I would come back again and again just for this dessert. Texture!!!!!! Sweet little spot, consistent, right in the mix of cherry creek. tried & true!

Yelp
Huge 5 star review. North Italia knocked it outta the park for us. My folks were in town for my birthday and I decided to get boujee and take them to cherry creek. We had a drink or two beforehand and I decided on Italian. I come from an Italian family and although I wouldn't say it was the MOST authentic Italian joint I've been to it was fire nonetheless. They had a wide selection of Italian dishes and plenty of proteins and pastas to choose from to satisfy anyone's needs. I had the chicken pesto which was 10/10. Huge fan of this place and a massive shout out to Jess our server for being nice enough to get my birthday dessert. Definitely will be back! (Ps I hope my pops left a nice tip. Otherwise I can pop by and give you a few extra bucks) great service, great food, great time. Thanks y'all, I'll be back. Would make a great spot to rock up on the Harley for a date

Yelp
We stopped here for a drink outside and a bite to eat. So fun to people watch. Jeff was our server and he was very professional, nice and explained the dishes nicely. We just had some appetizers of meatballs (yum) and bread with olive oil.

Yelp
North has good food, and good service, but lacks the ambience at this location to put it over the top. If you are unaware North is an upscale chain restaurant. Which can be a plus since the food and service have been pretty consistent (and good) at each of the locations I have been to. This individual one has a very open concept that makes it a bit noisier and less intimate. Which is great if you are having a quick business lunch or an event informal night out, but given their prices the casual market is not their target demographic. Still if you are looking for good food quality and service at a bit more of a premium cost without quiet or romantic feel then North will nail the bullseye for you.

Yelp
As prices for dining out continue to rise, my choice of restaurants is influenced more and more by intangibles-- like accepting reservations!! So it's Monday, I'm going out to dinner with our of town friends - my first thought is north italia -- HOWEVER - once again I will not be going because this restaurant chain W REFUSES to offer reservations during prime dinner hours!! I. The post-Covid competition within this industry - it seems foolish to continue this intentional slight to your loyal customers! Sad I won't be there for dinner tonight !

Petra B.

Yelp
Wow. To be honest, I wasn't sure that I wanted Italian food going into dinner tonight. But boy, I'm so glad we made the right choice by coming here. The restaurant was packed, but they were able to seat us right away. I came here with a friend, and we opted to share the Italian farm salad and the bolognese pasta. To start, they split the dishes into two plates without us asking which was a great touch. But beyond that, the food was delicious. Salad: 10/10 There were so many different ingredients, yet they managed to get everything right. From the crispy breadcrumbs to the delicious deli meats - soft and not too salty! - this salad was all I could've asked for. The dressing was present, but not overbearing allowing the fresh ingredients to shine. Highly recommend. Pasta: 9/10 The texture and shape of the pasta noodles was fantastic. Perfectly chewy, and picked up the sauce oh so nicely. The sauce was deeper than your generic bolognese. I'd happily get this again!

Yelp
Place was mobbed on a Monday night.... Solid, albeit so so food. I would rate the experience a 7.5/10 Pizza was okay and our main dishes were fine. Nice ambiance and good service. Added bonus of walkability.

Ellen V.

Yelp
Ordered through door dash, they were out of stock on on of our main dishes, didn't tell us, and made my husband come get another dish and had him Pay despite our inconvenience.

Yelp
The service is spectacular. We had Josh at the bar. Then Adrian and Frank at the dinner table. We bought a bottle of wine at the bar. Had ordered an appetizer and our table was ready before they served us. We had to close our bar tab and bring it to the table. I hope we didn't cause a riff between the dinning room and bar. Our dinner tab was a lot shorter. Frank was attentive and quick to handle all his tables. He is polite knowledgeable and courteous to all alike. Saturday night is super busy and super loud. It's a good vibe and ambience. Now let's get to the food. The tiramisu tastes like chocolate no coffee at all. It's tasty for a chocolate flavor. The bolognese had a hamburger helper vibe to it. It was missing something. It's good but nothing compared to the Italian version in Italy from north to south, we traveled and tasted the country. So we know. The garlic truffle bread was the most disappointing. I was looking for large shavings of truffle. Mostly garlic taste. The prosciutto bruschetta was good but the asparagus and cream cheese isn't necessary why not add some balsamic vinegar to it? Love the shrimp scampi I recommend that. This is an Americanized version of Italian food. It's great in that regard. We had a great time. We will definitely check out other locations throughout the country. Try different menu items.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my father's birthday. Reservations as a must, as they were completely packed inside. While the food was hit or miss, and the people were professional and friendly, our overall experience was very disappointing and did not live up to the promise of the inviting atmosphere. I'll start with what ruined the visit, then I'll talk about the food. My father cannot do tomato and cannot do spicy due to stomach acid issues. We ordered a dish with a spicy tomato sauce, but asked to swap out spicy tomato for anything else. The waiter suggested a cheese sauce, and we took his suggestion. Everyone's dish came out, and my father's dish had spicy tomato sauce. We pointed it out and the waiter apologized, saying that he wrote "tomato allergy" on the ticket. He said he would get it corrected right away. Now in my family's culture, we really wouldn't be eating before my father, and especially it was his birthday. But he insisted that everyone go ahead and eat because our food would get cold. It was a very uncomfortable experience and we all felt terrible that he wasn't able to eat while the rest of us were eating. When his dish did come out, we were all finished. His noodles were undercooked, but there was no sense in having them redo it because it was getting late, and he was very hungry. He also hates complaining, so none of us said anything about it, other than it was good. I understand al dente, and this was far from it. I guess when they rushed the dish, they simply didn't cook the noodles long enough. It's surprising because I could swear it's fresh pasta, which cooks super fast. But I guess if you just dunk it in hot water for a few seconds, that would be a way to undercook it. On to the food. Salads were tasty and perfectly dressed. We did not enjoy the fried calamari. There were only rings, no tentacles, which leads me to believe that it either came from a pre-prepared package. Slightly overcooked and too much batter. I got the old fashioned cocktail with whistlepig rye in it, and I loved it. Bread was fine. The pesto pasta was the star of the night. Absolutely delicious. The mortadella pizza was way too salty and wet to enjoy, but the crust was good. The pasta dish with sausage in red sauce was quite good. Branzino was fresh and tasty, but seemed like not good value in terms of cost for what you get. The squid ink seafood pasta had decent seafood, but the undercooked noodles ruined the dish. We didn't finish it and we didn't care to take it home. The barolo by the glass was barolo for sure, but not good at all. Whoever picked out that wine didn't do a very good job. We got a couple different cakes and donut holes for dessert. Cakes were too sweet and kind of dry. Donut holes were so dense that my kids didn't want to eat it after taking a couple bites. Probably could be a 5 star experience if you just went in, got whistlepig old fashioned, got pesto pasta, didn't need anything customized, skipped apps and dessert, and walked out. I doubt we'll be returning anytime soon.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat in Cherry Creek! Great location with wonderful ambience. Good for brunch or dinner. Delicious food. Pizzas, pastas, salads, etc. Service is always really friendly. LOVE the breakfast potatoes!!! Other favorites include the squid ink shrimp pasta, and the funghi mushroom pizza. Love that they have gluten-free noodles, and my husband said they were delicious!

Yelp
This is one of my go-to spots in Denver. They consistently make tasty dishes, the atmosphere is great, and staff are wonderful. Tried the simple salad this time around and it was so refreshing, lovely to have in the summer. Its Gorgonzola vinaigrette wasn't over powerful (for those who don't like that bleu cheese taste) and all the veggies were fresh. I can't get enough of the spicy rigatoni vodka, I order it every other time I'm here. Get it. We tried the Strozzapreti for the first time, it wasn't bad but I thought it didn't have as much flavor as the rigatoni and the chicken pieces could be cut osmaller. We tried some of their summer cocktails, my personal opinion is that they do wines much better. I tried the salted caramel budino on a whim once and now crave it once a month. Incredibly rich, you'll need some help finishing it :) All in all, North Italia is a solid Italian place with upper scale vibes perfect for a date night. Wines over cocktails. From appetizers to dessert, this place hits the spot

Yelp
We had such a great date night here. Food was excellent, Madison B was an amazing server, and the atmosphere was fun and lively. Also fair priced for how good the quality was. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
I was really craving good Italian food and found this place on Yelp. I needed a place that was okay with kids because I had my 1 YO with me who is good in restaurants. I called and asked if they had high chairs before I got there and was lucky enough to find a parking right out front. We were seated fast and I was a little nervous because this was more upscale cherry creek than my son and I normally go to but everyone was really sweet with him and I. I saw other parents with kids who were a couple years older than my boy but the spot was definitely for the 20 something age bracket and did feel like we got some stares until people saw how good my boy was and let us be. Knowing I needed to order quick, the waitress was able to put in my wine, app and entree in as soon as possible. She suggested a red blend that was about 18$ for a 6oz pour. I chose the grilled bread and olive oil that was around 7$ as well as a burrata ravioli that was 20$ I was surprised by the bread. It literally is grilled (why that surprised me I don't know) maybe it was the way it was presented drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Regardless it was delicious. Normally I'm not a fan of straight balsamic but it was sweeter than normal like they had made it into a glaze. My son ate half the slices on his own he loved it so much. The burrata was unbelievably fresh and had the perfect tang with tomatoes sliced on top. My mini foodie devoured half my plate. The wine went perfect to top it off. The portions are good for 1 person. Not huge but you will be filled. The only thing I did notice was that it took a while for things to come out. It was busy on a Sunday night but don't expect food /service quickly. Had I not had him with me I would have probably enjoyed the atmosphere more but regardless it was a good treat and I would recommend it as a cute date night spot.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dining experience the other night. Service was impeccable, the ambience was lively and the food was very good. The ambience and service were 5 stars. Jamie at the bar was attentive and our dining server was just as good. As for the food, it was pretty good. I order the bolognese pasta. It was tasty but the portion was a a little smaller than I am accustomed. The Caesar salad prior was tasty. Nice wine list with decent quality wines. Mix drinks were good too I do recommend if you are looking for a lively place with good Italian food.

Yelp
I placed an online order easily. The parking for this location was a challenge. I attempted to visit the night before but I left because I did not find a proximity friendly parking space. Luckily, this time, the front space meter was available. The spaghetti and meatballs is a hearty entree. I also had the spinach and kale side dish.

Yelp
My daughter and I and two other guests came here for a special Christmas dinner on Dec 23rd. We had an early reservation. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Our waitress was congenial, warm, and helpful. I think she was covering a few too many tables, but her aura made up for service a little slower than usual. On to the food. For appetizers we had: ***WHITE TRUFFLE GARLIC BREAD***. No joke, this will be the best $14-16 you ever spent. Hands down. I can say with utmost confidence, this will be one of the five best things you ever put in your mouth. Perfectly balanced, the truffle is the star without being overpowering. We also had the Meatballs (red sauce is exquisite, making dish fantastic), and the Arancini (risotto balls, breaded and fried, served with a pesto sauce). Very tasty. Daughter had the Bolognese (house specialty) and was very pleased. One guest got the chicken pesto, the pesto had a distinctly noticeable flavor which enhanced the dish. Other guest got the chicken Parmesan, which they devoured. I had the eggplant parmesan, an appetizer which they converted to an entree by adding pasta Alfredo as a side. The eggplant was resoundingly flavorful, breading was flawless and well executed. For dessert, we shared the Italian Donuts and the Butter Cake. Donuts were solid. The butter cake, which would be more aptly named a Ginger Cake, was fantastic . Significant ginger taste while remaining balanced and not overwhelming. Ginger snap crumbles, a scoop of melting ice cream atop, and a pool of icing under the cake were flavorful enhancements. They do rotate some of the desserts from time to time. If the Butter Cake with ginger is on the menu, get it, you will be glad you did. This was meant to be a special Christmas Dinner, and North Italia exceeded our already high expectations. This was a wonderful evening.

Yelp
Unbelievable service and the food was great. I felt so welcomed here. I came on a Sunday early afternoon and got to sit by the window, have mimosas, people watch and make memories. Vibes are so important and they hit the nail on the head. Myself and my partner were famished and the manager even took time to come over and let us now our food was coming soon. I even like the bathrooms lol. Can't stress enough how good the service and atmosphere is. Whole staff were in a good and friendly mood. Good vibes are contagious!!!

Yelp
12/10 every time! Everything is moderately priced and the food the always delicious. Service is great and we love the vibe. Great Italian food and I still come back even after going to Italy!

Yelp
Your lobster rolls are the best! We had them delivered and they were fast. I would recommend everyone to order

Yelp
Without fault! North Italia understands how to work with flavor, complimentary ingredients and pairings. Italian food doesn't need to be complicated. It just has to start with excellent ingredients. You want to elevate your polenta with a little mascarpone? Sure! Maybe drizzle a little sweet and add some crunch over your Burrata? Of course! Finish off your meal with a balance of tart lemon and sweet cream paired with light pastry? Done! Just go for the Bombolini. Every tastebud will be satisfied at North! Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner!

Julianne G.

Yelp
We love this place for special occasions. They usually (not always) do a good job of giving a complementary dessert w/ candle for birthdays. Kale salad and chicken parm are not to be missed!

Yelp
Meatballs were surprisingly delicious, sauce is nice and the ricotta cheese is at the bottom and compliments the sauce and meatballs amazingly. Service was ok it's usually the same two people who deliberately don't address me or say anything when I go to the bar. Always takes others. Been here 3 separate times and have dealt with that and thankfully other members stepped in to save the experience. It would be a 4 star if the service wasn't subpar. The pasta is amazing (hand made). Ambiance is great and always a good vibe

Yelp
What can I say , this place is consistently amazing. I normally come for lunch and order the Pig pizza, along with a glass of Duckhorn Sauv Blanc, at the bar. I always have the best time, and I think this is one of the best pizzas anywhere. Their service is always perfect, the restaurant is so beautiful. For us this is mostly a lunch spot but I have been here for dinner too. This is a great spot for a first date in my opinion because of the beautiful cocktails and approachable vibe.

Yelp
Upscale place, Amazing food and Outstanding Service! In short A- Amazing!!! I am just in love with place. We went to celebrate our kiddo's birthday and ot turned out wonderful. The service is quick and friendly. The drinks were served beautifully and tasted delicious. We ordered chef's cheese board, Vegetarian Fettuccini, Marg Pizza and roasted salmon! Everything came out perfectly plated and were bursting with flavors! Overall, this place is to die for and I would recommend every local to give it a try!

Yelp
Been coming to North for many years, but this night was by far the best experience, in both food and service. I think our server's name was Melanie? She was very patient with us as we were browsing through the menu. She answered all of our questions and just overall very attentive and friendly. We ordered a bunch of apps. Their truffle garlic bread is always on point. Crispy and soft at the same time, and the creamy ricotta pairs really well with it. The chefs board was decent, but def not worth it with what you get. Their shrimp scampi app is what surprised me the most that night. Shrimp is cooked perfectly in a buttery garlic sauce. Def getting this again in the future. As for the entree, we shared three main dishes. For this night, they used a different pasta for the squid ink. Compared to its original mafaldine, they used spaghetti. For me, this spaghetti squid ink suited better than mafaldine and it was easier to eat. As for the taste, it was a little spicy, and squid in it was soft and tender. Braised short rib lumache was very tasty as well. Short rib was super soft and the snail shaped lumache was perfect to hold the cheesy sauce for a nice bite. I also liked how they put something crispy (fried garlic maybe?) in the lumache to add an additional crispy texture. We also shared an order of branzino, which was super light and flaky. The roasted broccolini that it came with was also very delicious. For dessert, we shared hazelnut torta and their dessert special, cookies and cream gelato. Torta is probably one of the sweetest thing I've ever had, the gelato didn't taste like anything afterwards but that's dessert I guess. Def check out North Italia if you're in a mood for some Italian food with good service.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. Had the Caesar salad and it was the crunchiest most tasty salad ever. Also had the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta, and let me say it was simply delicious!! The pizza was delicious aswell of course! I would 9/10 recommend this place!

Yelp
What a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion, impress a date, go out with friends or any other combination of possibilities to venture out to North Italia. Our evening began with the Crispy Bocconcini (fried mozzarella and provolone served with a spicy vodka sauce). The sauce wasn't too spicy and it was delicious. Our dinners consisted of Squid Ink Tonnarelli, Strozzapreti and Chicken Pesto. There wasn't a complaint to be heard. We finished with dessert, pictures attached, and a perfect way to finish a meal.

Yelp
Super cute Italian restaurant in Cherry Creek area. Would definitely recommend making a reservation for weekend days! Food was delicious. We ordered the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta and the prosciutto pizza. The server was so nice and split the pasta into 2 bowls for us since we were sharing! The pasta was delicious! The pizza was different from the other prosciutto pizzas I've had - it was sweet. I think because normally they have a balsamic glaze that makes it bitter and this pizza did not have it. Server was nice. Rushed us a little but they were super busy. Will be back.

Yelp
We shared a few tapas- arancini, bruschetta, Italian meatballs and a salad. It was delicious. The restaurant was hopping and our server did a great job checking in on us. We also had a dessert- a gingerbread butter cake which was pretty good too. A fun restaurant with an open kitchen, cool decor and was lively with customers! Would eat here again when in Denver.

Yelp
North Italia was delicious. The white truffle garlic bread...... no words. I think I'll dream about it. It is DEADLY good. I felt like I could eat the whole bowl of it, the taste was perfection. We were super tempted to get the pizza because it looked so incredible, but we ended up getting pasta. No regrets there, we were both very impressed. Our server was great, super attentive and gave good recommendations. The vibe was busy but fun and the food came out pretty quick. We'd totally go back. 5 stars since the food was great, service was good and ambiance was on point.

Yelp
Very lively/busy atmosphere with decent service and drinks. However, the actual core offerings, like the appetizers/salads/entrees, fall disappointingly short. The main issue is that most of the food was very bland. I'm really not sure what the thing is that they do well. They have fresh pasta sure, but the sauce on the pasta is so bland that it tastes like nothing. In fact, the first impression I had of the Bolognese was that it tasted like Chef Boyardee. On the flip side of that, the salad, Caesar Salad in particular, was overly rich and absolutely drenched in dressing making it nearly inedible. They also dumped what seemed to be a bucketload of ground parmesan cheese on both the salads and the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka which was uncalled for. I think the highlight of the evening was the dessert, the Italian Butter Cake was pretty delicious. But I really do feel like in general they serve pretty poor Italian food, so I wouldn't come back unless it was for a happy hour where I'd be more looking for drinks and a crowd.

Yelp
My second time eating at North Italia but 1st at the Denver location. Good ambience. The service was really good and the waiter was on point with his recommendations. Food - ordered the short rib entree and it was really good. Wasn't fall apart but would certainly eat it again. Also shared some apps. Meatballs were amazing. Hands down the star. I'd order these as my main next time. The kale and spinach side was too salty for me and I'd pass on that again. The burrata and the calamari were also great. The calamari was beer battered which I've never had before and came with pickled veggies which I loved. Only nits we're (1) we had a group of 5 men and we got seated in a both which we 'just' fit into. They wouldn't put us at a large table despite our guest list originally being 6 and (2) me and a another ordered dirty martinis, mine with GIN and the other with Vodka. We think they might have been switched up but we'll never know for sure :) Overall great place and good food.

Yelp
Great Italian restaurant. We went at 5pm to take advantage of happy hour... well it was already packed, so plan early. Sat at a table and had the bolognese and salmon. Both were excellent. Enjoy!!!!

Yelp
Love the food and the ambiance during the brunch hours. I got the Chicken Pesto Pasta and it was super delicious. The reason why I'm not rating this place 5 stars is because they don't have drink options for non-alcoholic drinks. I wish they had ANY cool drinks, green smoothies..etc? That was a let down. Other than that, the service was good and would recommend it.

Yelp
If there were an option for zero stars, I would give zero stars. Why? I have no idea how good the food was because we left after waiting 25 min to be welcomed by a server. Meanwhile the rest of the guests in the restaurant were served. Perhaps it was because we had children. Perhaps it was because they had just opened and "our" server had not shown up? I spoke to the likely under 18 year old hostess. Asked what it would take to get waited on...no action. I spoke to the manager, apologetic but did nothing. Plenty of servers walking around in the tight spaces that could have done something, nope. Not the host, no server, no action from Manager. Won't be back, won't go go other locations. We have been at this location for the last several holidays, spending hundreds to thousands of dollars adding it all up. Perhaps the franchise owner or the management of this location should be reviewed for hospitality standards. You are in Cherry Creek...it isn't Dubai, don't act like you are better than your customers.

Yelp
I gotta knock these guys down a notch. They were a bit too cocky. 3.5 stars. I know there is good food in Denver so these guys have no business being so arrogant in a food scene like this. I asked the server for cocktail roulette and gave him my preferences and BOTH times he came back with a drink directly from the menu. LAZY. I also asked the server what the favorites are and he said that we could close our eyes, point to anything and it would be the best we'd ever had. That was a lie. The Heirloom vegetable salad was not good. If I would've ordered it, I'd have sent it back. No flavor. Some veggies over cooked and some undercooked. The vegan meatballs were pretty good. The sauce was nice and flavorful. It was almost like a fancier version of chef boyardee with more flavor. But in a good way. The bolognese was also pretty good. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauce was good flavor as well. Not too heavy. But again, somewhat familiar, almost like a gourmet version of chef boyardee. In a good way. Our server disappeared at some point. I think he knew what we were feeling and was embarrassed over his cocky attitude.
