Went last night for the first time for a girls night out around 8 pm. The food was generously portioned and the prices for an Italian restaurant are honestly fair compared to others in the area ! I really recommend sharing the chefs board (feeds 2 people for 22$!) as appetizers. Our waitress Britney was super sweet, gave us good suggestions on the seasonal menu items and made our overall experience really nice ! I will be back for happy hour with my mom soon! A MUST TRY !

Great place to try comfort food you've known but a bit more elevated. I tried their brunch Pollo Frito. Pretty much fried chicken breast. Crunchy on the outside. Tender on the inside. Light brown gravy with potatoes hash shaped as puppies and eggs. Yummy. Just don't look at the calorie count. Make it up by having a light dinner😊. My waitress Serena was the best.

I’m a huge North Italia fan and try to visit this location when I’m in the area. Delicious food, spotless restaurant (clean bathrooms), and an amazing staff! During my last visit, the staff went above and beyond to make my mom’s birthday celebration extra special. Highly recommend this resturant and will definitely be back! Thanks North Italia.

The food was fresh and flavorful. we had the bolognase, the chefs board and a basic chicken parm and it was all excellent. Even the noodles accompanying the parm were freshly made and garnished with fresh parsley that made them pop. I wish id had room to try the soup of the day and a dessert but we stuffed ourselves. The hostess and our server were both absolute delights.

From the floor to ceiling windows, to the beautiful decor and bar area. The whole experience felt high end and trendy. Even the servers and bartenders were handsome/pretty. The menu was delicious. We are foodies so this all was a perfect meal. Get the dessert!! Appetizer: Zucchini - Zucca Chips Strozzapreti Fresh mushroom Pasta Prosciutto, Fig, & Goat cheese Pizza - fresh!! Dessert: Banana Split, deconstructed !!

North Italia is a bright and cozy restaurant with very comfortable seating. I came for lunch and was warmly greeted by a friendly gentleman (likely the manager) who asked where I’d prefer to sit — such a positive first impression. My server Kendall and her assistant Serena were both extremely pleasant, attentive, and explained the specials with genuine hospitality. Honestly, it’s been a long time since I’ve experienced service like this in the U.S. On top of that, the food was delicious — I especially discovered a new favorite, the Stromboli, even though I’ve always loved Italian cuisine. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back with friends and family!

We had a wonderful experience! Our server, Nicole, truly made our evening exceptional. She recommended a bottle of wine instead of ordering by the glass, which was perfect, and guided us toward the best dishes on the menu. The restaurant was spotless, the food was outstanding, and Nicole’s service was beyond excellent. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks to the amazing service she provided.

We've had so many great experiences dining here, and last night reminded me that it's time to post an update! I want to compliment Michael, our #1 favorite server and bartender. He always has the best recommendations--whether it's daily specials, menu favorites, or creative customizations that make the meal even better. For example, last night we ordered the chicken parmigiana with a side of pasta, and Michael suggested pairing it with pappardelle and their delicious bolognese sauce--wow, what a perfect combination! We were also happy to see the Brussels sprouts return with the seasonal menu update. The drinks are always top-notch too--we especially love the Sicilian Margarita, Manhattan (straight up), and Espresso Martini. North Italian continues to be one of our favorite spots in Fort Lauderdale, thanks to excellent food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service from Michael and the team. Highly recommend!

We loved everything about North Italia! We arrived at 5:45pm. What a cool atmosphere...loved the vibe of this restaurant!!! I had made a reservation for a booth and they gave us one of the big ones on the window, which was nice because the restaurant got packed very quickly...so it was a little quieter being corner booth next to wall. We started with 3 appetizer (calamari, arancini and meatballs). I was having too good of a time with my friends, sorry I forgot to take photos! Calamari was so crispy and they came in rings with 2 delicious sauces. Arancini were best we've had! Meatballs with polenta was equally delicious. I had crispy Eggplant Parmesan and my friend had Carpacio, these were from appetizer menu. I ordered a side of pasta which our waiter rang up as a kids meal ($11). Needless to say...We both left empty plates! The sauce on my eggplant parm had a little kick to it, but I love spicy stuff. Carpaccio had a little kick of endive and this basil sauce which my friend said she'd ask for on the side next time. The guys order the black ink pasta and a chicken for pasta which they loved. We ended the meal with tiramisu and pana cotta, which were best we've had in a very long time! There were 4 of us - we had a total of 3 drinks and a bottle of wine ($52). Our total bill was $270 before we added a tip, which we split (so $135 plus tip per couple). We definitely will be back!

Over a year ago a friend recommended North Italia due to the fig and goat cheese pizza they had on their menu. Like always, anytime someone recommends a food place, I add it to my list of places I'd like to go. After this meal, I am so incredibly disappointed in myself, that this one sat on my list for so long. Upon walking in, the place is absolutely beautiful, spacious, nice and cold, lots of plants and light. I can imagine how beautiful it is in the evening after the sun has set, too, with all their ambient lighting. We came on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't too busy at all. Serena was our server and she was an absolute gem. Fantastic recommendations. Knew the menu like the back of her hand. So incredibly sweet and attentive throughout the whole meal. I hate to say it, but I didn't even end up getting the Fig and goat cheese pizza which is what brought me here! I quickly found out that pizza has Prosciutto on it, and I came with a vegetarian. So instead we got the truffle garlic bread, and then split the caprese sandwich and the cacio e pepe pizza. First...the truffle garlic bread. Are you freaking kidding me with this dish? I literally almost canceled the entrees and ordered five more of these. Thick cut bread into cubes, fluffy on the outside, crispy sear on the outside, exploding with garlic and truffle flavor. And the creamy ricotta on top on top? Be careful because I can see a table fighting to the death for the last piece. Order two just in case. Next, the pizza. A really solid size for two people, beautifully baked, the slivers of garlic on this pizza made my eyes roll back into my head. This was a rich, indulgent twist on the classic Roman pasta, delivering a bold yet elegantly simple flavor profile that hits all the right notes of comfort and sophistication. Salty, peppery, cheesy, what more can you ask for? Finally, the caprese. This was not your ordinary caprese. First of all, the bread was toasted and pressed with flaky sea salt...so we're already off to a good start. Then it was layered with creamy straciatella cheese (most capreses use mozz), juicy ripe tomatoes, and a fragrant basil pesto which married so well with the fresh and slightly bitter arugula. Serena explained to us that it also had some type of pepper paste on it that added a tiny bit of heat but for the life of me I cant remember! Maybe Chilean? I'm not sure, but just trust me, it's fantastic. Each bite was bright, juicy, and satisfying. Not to mention we said we were splitting it and they put it on two separate plates for us with our own fries on each! oh yeah, and the fries that come with it? Parmesan herbed fries. This place is so incredible I can't take it! Overall, with the three dishes we ordered and two fountain drinks, our total came to $66.88. The food is more than reasonably priced, the fountain drinks, however, at $4.75 a pop, are the most expensive fountain drinks I've seen in some time! Price of drinks aside, I will come back here without a doubt. I'd love to see what it's like at night and try their dinner menu items. If you're like me and this has been sitting on your 'places to try' list, don't be like me and wait too long. Go....like, right now. Put the phone down and go!

This is my second time at this restaurant but first time at this particular location. It was strongly suggested by a friend that we go for brunch. We were quickly greeted and seated by the hostess and our waitress soon followed. It happened to be a beautiful day outside and the ambiance in the restaurant matched that. I started off with a Passione which was a great spritz. It was the perfect combination of light sweetness and refreshing taste. For appetizers we ordered the White Truffle garlic bread (10/10) and the shrimp scampi (8/10). I would come back just for the garlic bread! For my entré I chose the Ricotta Cavatelli and the Tuscan Kale salad. Both were excellent choices but because I was full from the appetizers, I had enough pasta to take home. It was even better the next day. My friends ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and the Squid Ink Tonnarelli and both cleared their plates so that speaks for itself. Would I return? Absolutely!

It's in a rapidly building out section of Flagler Village, has great food and a cool ambience. 5 star food: everything here is high quality and well presented. This ain't ya Olive Garden downscale pasta joint. 5 star service: friendly and helpful staffer are everywhere and check back often. 5 star ambience: the interior is quiet and beautiful. Parking is easy and free (there's a lot right next door)

Came here before a work event and the whole experience was great. We were a giant group and had to be done at a certain time to get to an event. The staff was excellent and very prompt with ordering and bringing food. At one point I got hot and the waitress noticed and started to fan me, more as a joke but was so kind and funny. The food overall was very good. The scallops were alright, the dish was small and the flavor wasn't my favorite. The appetizers and drinks though were great. I tried the short rib and wished I got that instead, it was excellent. We all really enjoyed our time and food while here, I'd go back again for sure.

We were walking by when bartender Serena lured us in with a smile and a smart marketing technique. Well this was an amazing surprise ! Not only was it a beautiful restaurant but the food was Delicious, meatball app was so full of flavor and the dressing on the Ceasar salad needs to get bottled and sold. Our server / bartender was funny, profesional and made sure we were having a great experience, we were told that everything is made in house which gets points in my opinion and the drinks were made perfectly. I personally loved the expresso martini, will definetly come back and let friends and family know about this hidden gem.

The food was excellent. Everything on the menu is delicious. The restaurant was dim enough to feel intimate but lit enough to see your food. The music was not loud. The service was quick but not so quick as to disturb. This was the best lasagna I have ever eaten. I will definitely return.

My friends suggested coming here after a long day. We were at the hungry point which is never good and of course that night, they were understaffed, we had to wait a while to get served even with drinks ll. They had also ran out of most main items hence my one star deduction. Our waiter was nice, just running all over the place. We had the following: Spicy rigatoni pasta - is absolutely delicious. Has spice and lots of flavor to it. Short Rib lasagna- it was good but a little on the sweet side. Very cheesy but mild flavor. Enough for one person only or to split but order something else. Tiramisu- served in a glass bowl with chocolate ganache ball toppings. Was a little dry and would've preferred a more moist cake however the flavor was excellent. Would like to try one more time and definitely have the spicy rigatoni again.

We had a lovely dinner here and sampled a little bit of everything: grilled bread, meatballs, the Cacio e Pepe pizza, bolognese pasta, and ricotta cavatelli. While the bread and meatballs leaned a bit heavy on the salt for my taste, they were still flavorful and satisfying. The real standout? That Cacio e Pepe pizza--creamy, peppery, and indulgent, with a perfectly blistered crust that dreams are made of. The ricotta cavatelli also impressed--delicate, with a noticeable seafood essence and a light but zesty kick that kept each bite interesting. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the ambiance is chic yet cozy, with lots of booth seating that makes you want to linger. All in all, a very solid experience with a few high notes--would definitely come back (and reorder that pizza in a heartbeat).

My family went here on the 27th of September. There were four of us and we each got different mains. The atmosphere was nice, felt upscale, but there were TV's at the bar area. I got an order of Cacio E Pepe Arancini for the table. Those were tasty. I got a simple salad, which was a nice size and good. My wife got a Heirloom Tomato & Burrata starter which she enjoyed. Then for a the mains, I got the Spicy Rigatoni. The waitress helped me decide between that and the bolognese. It was pretty good, but to me was not spicy. My brother in law got the Lasagna Bianca. He enjoyed his as well. My wife got the Lumache Alla Norcina and it was good as well. Finally my sister in law got the Strozzapreti, which she liked also. Finally, my wife got a dessert: the Tahitian Vanilla Panna Cotta. Also very nice. The service was good. I believe it is a nice restaurant. I don't live in Ft. Lauderdale, so not sure when I'd be back.

Disappointed. We have eaten at North Italia in other States and this North Italia did not compare. The food was cold and lacked flavor. They do not offer bread with the meal at this location unless you ask! The bread, when they brought it to the table was dry and burnt. The service was excellent, however the establishment was empty. For food quality and price, it underperfored. Parking was free and easily accessible. The bahrooms were clean.

Been to the Aventura location and was craving a nice pizza so I tried this location. Ordered the calamari and the margarita pizza online. I arrived and the door was opened for me with eye contact. I let them know my name, I was carefully handed the order. Very easy process. The calamari is made with a thick tempura batter. There was a side salad/ garnish that was made with mandolin-thin peppers, fennel, and jalapeño marinated in vinegar and oil so delish and fresh. The calamari came 12 pieces and tasted very fresh and tender. The pizza is more a personal sized pizza. The flavors of the crust, sauce and cheese were stellar. There were tiny flecks of basil as the garnish which was disappointing for a margarita pizza. I wish the portions were larger. If you order food get more items if you are a hungry person.

Hands down great service here. These days when I go out to eat, I never know what I'm going to get in terms of service. But I was pleasantly surprised. All the staff were super nice and friendly. Food came out quickly, and they came to check on us often to make sure we were good. The food was delicious also! My family tends to like to order a bit of everything on the menu so I got to try the meat and cheese boards, pizzas, pasta, salads, other apps, desserts pretty much everything. All of them were so yummy. My favorite was definitely the pizzas. Their dough was perfect. My picky dad usually hates eating salmon at restaurants and he even thought the salmon was done really well. I would also highly recommend the pasta with the spicy vodka sauce. Yum!! Will definitely come back again when I'm on the easy side.

I am a fan of North Italia. For brunch, for dinner...anytime is a good time to go. Finally got to try their pasta and it was good. But after seeing some of the pizzas go by our table, I am looking forward to going back and trying one of those as well. Service was good. The place is nice and seating is comfortable. They also have tvs if anyone wants to ignore their SO and watch a game.

Back again, this time with my neighbor. We eat every Monday night together. He hasn't been here. Since he is a NY Italian, I thought he should try it. We both had pasta. He had the meatball ragu pasta and he really loved it. The portion was large. He took half home. I had the spicy vodka rigatoni. It was amazing. It was nicely spiced and the sauce was more red than pink. I really like the unique vodka sauce here. I'd order this dish again. Kasha was our server. She was very helpful and extremely friendly. She made great recommendations for us. We had great conversations since the restaurant was slow on a Monday. The interior is really beautiful. I love the bar area. Lovely indoor/outdoor bar. Nice high tops. Big booths. The prices are fair. Delicious $7 wines before 6 pm. I'll be back again!

Since we finally decided to try this place last month, we've returned four times. The staff is top tier (shout out to Rachel and Kendall), the happy hour is the best in town (and starts at 3 pm!), and the menu is superb! Try the arancini cacio e Pepe and the Strombolis. The salads are beautiful and fresh, and we haven't had a dish that wasn't honestly stellar. They even have their own parking lot just to the south of the restaurant. While it is a chain, it doesn't give chain vibes. We're surprised that it's not more crowded when we visit. The empty, large, newly built apartment complexes don't help, apparently. But do try this place. You'll be back!

The services absolutely spectacular. The servers are so nice and very friendly and helpful. The manager also is very nice. Everyone is so accommodating and they truly want you to have a great experience. The food was awesome. We had the prosciutto pizza and asked for it to be extra well done. We genuinely enjoyed this pizza! The dessert however is terrible- no flavor. We were in a large group, so we ordered several different desserts. And each one came back, tasting bland without any pizzazz.

We came here for a good friend's birthday party. This was definitely a great experience. Overall, I would say that I would come back for the pizza. The service was great and our Serbian witches was very kind and detective. We ordered the pizza that had prosciutto and fish. The flavor was fantastic. Here's a tip; I would highly recommend that you get some Parmesan cheese on the side. The dessert could've been better. We had this dessert that has pistachio ice cream, which I believe was the best part of the dessert. I would definitely return or I would recommend it, but I would probably recommend the pizza over all

I have had food from north Italia multiple times in multiple locations and they are pretty consistent. You must always start with the truffle bread. My last visit was my first time at the Ft. Lauderdale location. They were kind and accommodated me and my dog at the outside bar. Truffle bread was on point and I was able to try their summer cocktail paradise city, delicious!

I used to go to a location in Arizona and it was delicious. So I decided to meet a friend for lunch. There was only one other table in for lunch and the food took quite awhile. Unfortunately her pasta was so salty she couldn't eat it. I tried the calzone and it just wasn't great flavor. I was super bummed and kinda embarrassed I picked the place. I also went before this when this location first opened and sat at the bar for drinks and app. The service was not great. The 2 bartenders were facing inside bar and not paying attention to the outside bar. We got the wine and board deal. It was okay just didn't enjoy the service.

Another go to place however a little bit trendier and elevated than most of the choices in the area. Beautifully done space, we stop here about once every 2 weeks and have really never found anything to stay away from. Everything on their menu is delicious. They do have outdoor seating and in this weather, who wouldn't want to sit outside. A full bar with of course Espresso Martini's. The service here is always extremely friendly and accommodating. While there are many Italian places in Ft. Lauderdale, we enjoy meeting up for some great food and drinks with friends.

This place is right off us1 in a great spot and they have a beautiful interior, classy and spacious with modern decor and lovely high ceilings. The staff are all so friendly, even though half of our party arrived 30 min before the other half they had no issues seating us. I didn't drink tonight but tried an app and a pizza, they were okay. I had the truffle garlic bread and although it looked pretty and i had high expectations, it was a little hard and the truffle wasn't as present as i hoped, plus there was a scoop of the garlic butter on top of the stack but not enough to reach the bottom pieces. The butter was good though. To eat we had the white Naples pizza, i wasn't blown away by this either unfortunately. Although my overall experience was enjoyable i wanted a bit more from the food for those prices. ($18 truffle garlic bread) Thank you!

Came here to celebrate my bf's bday and also walk down the street to see a comedian at Parker Playhouse. The cocktails were delicious (White Lotus and Roman Holiday), and the appetizer perfect (red wine poached pears, ciabatta and burrata). We shared the spicy meatball pizza (just okay) and the spicy rigatoni vodka (yummy) and finished the night with the seasonal butter cake (pumpkin) which was too sweet but still good. The service was excellent and the decor lovely. Would absolutely come back!

One of my dining companions and I try to go to an Italian restaurant every few months and tonight it was North Italia. First of all, what an appealing space. I found out that it's a chain but that didn't dissuade me. Located in Flagler Village it has ample free parking. Busy and loud at 7:30 it mellowed out an hour later thankfully. On to the food and service: Our lovely and sweet server Kayla? ( I hope I got her name right) was a joy. We opted for two dishes on the menu. I ordered Tuscan chicken with butternut squash polenta and my buddy went for chicken parmigiana. We split a delectable gem lettuce caesar salad. Very good. He enjoyed his chix parm and told me it was better than the norm in that instead of being topped with a gloop of cheese, it had a nice dusting of grated fromage. My Tuscan dish was moist with a nice seared skin accented by the polenta and veggies. Took a to go package home for lunch tomorrow. I asked if they serve lunch and the answer was yes, with sandwiches and soups. Checked out their dessert menu and oh! There's an olive oil cake in my future. We enjoyed our meals and our very sweet server. She was so nice. I'll be back with friends for a lunch experience.

Went for dinner with my wife one night, sat at the bar, was somewhat slow. Bartenders were chatting it up for a solid few minutes before acknowledging us. Food is very subpar. As a first generation Italian American, this isn't good Italian food. Way better options in the area.

I have eaten at other locations of North Italia and have always had a pleasant experience. Their food never disappoints. It is consistently good. The service is also always very good. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, it feels like a fine dining experience without the crazy cost. This time that we went was during their Valentines Day menu, so I believe certain things they served are not on the regular menu. However, I promise that whatever you order will be a good experience. The things that are always on the menu are the Braised Short Rib and the White Truffle Garlic Bread. The Braised Short Rib is very flavorful and tender, basically melts. The White Truffle Garlic Bread is a MUST. You have to get it. It's so good! Also, quick shout out to Michael. He gave excellent service!

Very good. The lasagna was the best. Crispy eggplant for appetizer was very hearty. I had the strozzapeti pasta, it was good, but would have loved the pine nuts and capers to have been crispier. Service was really great and the decor transportive.

Came here after a hair appointment and was going to just do take out, but the bar wasnt packed so I decided to dine in. Friends recommended the spicy rigatoni vodka so that is what I ordered. I love a spicy rigatoni vodka but am pretty critical of my pasta. Wasnt a cheat night but I def ate almost all of my pasta bc it was so good. Pasta was cook aldente and had the right amount of spice. Portion size was good and service was friendly. The inside was super cute as well. Their menu is great so I will def be back to try something new.

Great ambiance! Wouldn 't have a clue you're on Federal. Went with friend for Friday lunch, who frequents the place. It's huge ! Dining options - inside or out for bar and dining. We sat at bar. Had Aperol spritz, both of us, shared yellowtail crudo... good but a bit light on pieces of fish. Also, shared delicious spicy meatball pizza with ricotta. Great crust, soft yet perfectly charred on edges. Look forward to trying again., fsitly large chain.... had no idea!

4.5 Not the last word in Italian food, how could it be as a national chain. But what it does, it doest startlingly well. Every dish was tasty. Every. Single. Dish. Thats hugely impressive. The quality was some of the highest I've ever experienced at a chain restaurant, rivaling many fine dining experiences and easily trumping most restaurants in South Florida. The service was very professional, clearly well trained and prepared to handle groups of all sizes (we were 8). The restaurant itself has a very nice ambiance with a mostly open kitchen in back and nice bar upfront. The center of the restaurant, towards the kitchen, could use some interior design work to match the rest of the restaurant as its a bit of a lesser impressive space otherwise. The desserts were also good, not great and reminded me more of high-end theme park than gourmet restaurant. They should source locally or bring in a pastry chef. Anyhow, this is a very easy restaurant to recommend for events, big groups and good vibes along with solid food at decent prices.

Went here as saw it was an Italian spot in Flagler village and wanted to try out their lunch. I love a fresh homemade pasta dish and especially Bolognese so I wanted to give it a try here. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with their bolognese. I didn't like the type of noodle that was used in the dish as it didn't hold well to the sauce. I also didn't like the tomato sauce as it wasn't very flavorful but it didn't contain a ton of meat. Other bolognese pastas I have had at places such as Louie Bossi does a variety of meat and sausage but they didn't do that here which isn't a dealbreaker just a point I wanted to make. However, the vibes of the inside of this spot were amazing. It also has free parking, and the sandwiches and salads looked and tasted amazing. I just cannot recommend the Bolognese (which is ironic since it said house special next to it on the menu). Definitely would love to give this spot another try but something else on the menu this time.

I loved this place immediately. The service was spot on, and the atmosphere was great. We weren't able to get a reservation on open table. However, we decided to just walk in and see what the wait would be. To our surprise, it was fairly empty, and we were able to get a seat on the outdoor patio, which is just perfect for these Florida winter nights. There's also a big bar which runs both inside and outside and has plenty of seating. Parking is also plentiful with a garage in the building next door parking lot and street parking. As for the food, it was all incredible. We started with the truffle garlic bread, and oh my goodness, was it delicious. It had the perfect amount of truffle. We also got the cacio e pepe arancini, which were super flavorful, different than others I've had in the past, since it was so cheesy and creamy. For an entree, we split the bolognese, which was a big enough portion for 2. It was so delicious. The meal ended with the salted caramel budino and tiramisu, which was also delicious and a perfect portion. The drinks were also pretty good. I got an espresso martini, which is my weakness. Price wise, it's compatible with other area restaurants. From the wonderful service and atmosphere to the delicious food, you won't be disappointed. This is definitely a spot to check out new to the area of Fort Lauderdale.

We had an amazing time as we walked into the new Ft Lauderdale location that opened 4 months ago. It was clean, crisp, beautifully decorated and had outdoor seating. We went with mom so inside we sat. Our server, Shelby, came by immediately and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. One Espresso Martini, one Julietta and one Panna water, please! The cocktails were delicious. I've had better Espresso Martini's but the Julietta is a house favorite and it was truly refreshing. We started with the grilled bread with "good olive oil". It was toast with olive oil, cheese and balsamic. Good but not great. Next time we will opt for the garlic, truffle rolls. We perused the menu but asked our server for her favorite appetizers. She recommended the arrancini and the zucca chips. We also ordered Calamari. Well, these "small plates" were a meal on their own. The arrancini is the perfect blend of risotto and parmigiana Romano. They were crunchy on the outside and just melt in your mouth yummy on the inside. The zucca chips were delicious but got a little soggy as you got to the end of the bowl but don't knock it. There were a lot of chips on that bowl. We decided to forego the entrees and continue with their "small plates". THE CALAMARI....just stop right there. This is the best calamari I've ever had....EVER. Very fresh and the batter, oh my God, the batter. Must have. Just go...order it now. That is all I'll say there. We also got the Black Mediterranean mussels and the meatballs. The mussels had a fantastic butter wine sauce infused with spicy capicola. You heard that right. It was a great take on an old classic. The meatballs were served over some of the creamiest polenta I have had the pleasure of eating but still ate like ricotta. They were both delicious. There were three of us and we had leftovers. The small plates serve 2 people easily and three of these dishes serve a table of three. We opted for dessert. The affogato was amazing with the homemade vanilla gelato. Fun fact: they have daily gelato and sorbet flavors although vanilla is always on the menu. The espresso was hot and nice and strong and blended well with the gelato. We opted for the bundino and it was really, really sweet. Nice custard but super super sweet. Our server, Shelby ", was truly amazing and walked us through the menu and answered all of our questions. She was so very sweet and we are definitely going to ask for her when we go back. Overall, we are fans of North Italian and will be back for certain. Great place for happy hours, bites before a show or a full on dinner. It really has something g for everyone so get on out there and go!

New to this North Italia location, and it's great to see the consistency in their dishes across their restaurants. What really stood out was the service. The waitress was super friendly, attentive, and offered suggestions. I really enjoyed my time here and would come back if I were in the area again.

There are plenty of really good Italian places in Fort Lauderdale, so North Italia had a high bar to hit. I knew before I went it was part of the Cheesecake Factory family so I wasn't expecting the kind of gourmet food that the other Italian restaurants in town have to offer, but I was expecting decent service and functional food from this chain. I got one of the two. Our problem? We struggled with getting waited on during this visit. This would have been a 3 star review but the bartender did apologize for his lack of attentiveness before we left which we did appreciate so I added a star. We came on a Friday night- after the rush- and were able to secure two seats on the outdoor bar side which was perfect on this warm evening. They have a HUGE bar area with both indoor and outdoor seats. The decor is quite nice with warm lighting and comfortable seating areas. There were plenty of bartenders and barbacks on this night so staffing wasn't the issue, so it was odd that the challenge was trying to get waited on. As I sat and watched what was happening it appeared that one of the bartenders was more interested in talking with his friend who was at the bar about job opportunities there versus serving the paying guests. When we finally got the bartender's attention and ordered, our drinks were just okay- my friend's drink was missing a lime garnish and trying to get that required him to go into the restaurant to get the bartender's attention. And my martini was just okay. My drink got better when I switched to a simpler drink of just vodka and soda. And as our night went on, we were grabbing anyone who walked by to get drink refills, ice water, etc so clearly we were not the priority which is so odd and one of the reasons we like to sit at the bar when we eat. The service is usually better. The food fared better than the drinks. I ordered the chicken parmesan ($25) which came with rigatoni in a white cheese sauce. While predictable, it was a tasty, reasonably sized portion. My friend had the steak marsala ($41) which came perfectly cooked over black truffle and mushroom risotto. Definitely the winner of our food order! And he ordered a side of fingerling potatoes which were were also good. The pricing was reasonable as our entire bill for two including a couple of drinks each and dinner was $140. if you drive, there is a large lot just south of the restaurant. As we were cashing out, the bartender did apologize for his lack of attentiveness and comped us a drink which was nice and which moved this to a 4 star review as he did acknowledge his issue. Hoping this was just an off night as given this is in my neighborhood, it would be a great place to stop in and have a night cap before heading home.

I really wanted to love this place after all the rave reviews but unfortunately it fell short of my expectations. Ambiance 3/5- the restaurant is nice. It has a covered outdoor patio which is really nice. I sat in the back of the restaurant by the kitchen which has an "open" concept where you can visibly see the staff in the kitchen. Food 2/5- the food was ok. There wasn't a dish that was spectacular or something incredibly delicious. I've eaten better Italian food and the prices weren't justified. We ordered a pizza and it was almost $30 and the pizza was mostly bread. Barely any cheese. Also ordered the spicy rigatoni and eggplant Parmesan- both were mediocre. Service 1/5- The hostesses were great. Nice and friendly. Once we sat at our table, the service took a turn for the worst. Our waiter was extremely inattentive. We had to wave him down multiple times throughout our meal for additional orders as well as to get the check. It also wasn't great when we would try to get his attention he would PURPOSELY ignore us to go into the kitchen, or go to another table. Not sure that I would come back and give this place another try. Again, in South Florida there are tons of new and well established restaurants. It doesn't make sense to go back to a place where I was extremely dissatisfied.

We had a wonderful lunch experience here today. Above all, we had excellent service from Michael V -- a sparkling personality with a lot of knowledge about food, the company he's working for/representing, and a consummate professional on how to serve customers. The restaurant has only been open here for about 2 1/2 weeks, so they're still getting known in the community. The restaurant is located on the west side of Federal Highway/US1. It has its own parking lot just south of the restaurant. This will be a distinct advantage to its operations. They have a nice patio area with outside seating; there's a large bar inside. And lots of booths and tables, inside as well. As it was cool outside (for us Floridians), we chose a window booth. Inside there are lots of plants. It feels open and airy. The decor is modern, but not pretentious or stuffy. They have a separate lunch menu with a lot of options. And a curated wine list that those that like a glass of wine with their food will enjoy. We decided to start by sharing their Italian meatballs from their small plates section. There were 3 meatballs in the order. Served on top of a tasty marinara sauce that was very good, the meatballs had shaved cheese on top of them. And alongside, according to the menu, creamy polenta. It tasted like the creamiest melt in your mouth ricotta cheese. In any case, we enjoyed it. My husband had their pulled porchetta sandwich. The sandwich came with a side of parmesan herb fries. Inside the bread, it was piled high with roast pork, and a layer of pickled red onions, shallots, cheese, salsa, and a "Calabrian" aioli. There was a spicy kick to the sauce from the Calabrian chili peppers. He said it was very, very good. The portion was large, and he took half home. With his sandwich, he enjoyed a glass of Montepulciano. I had their crispy eggplant parmesan. This, too, was a "small plate", but was a perfect size after half the meatballs. The eggplant pieces were battered and topped with fresh mozzarella cheese, and torn basil. The sauce was a spicy vodka sauce. It was a bit spicier than I realized, but still quite good. I took half home and got some sauce from the meatballs to add into it to tone it down. I had the balance for my dinner. We were rather full from lunch, but I had to see what they had on their dessert menu -- at least to know for a future visit. They have a butter cake that looked appealing to me. The flavor varies each season, so just check to see what they are featuring. When we asked about the flavors of the day for their sorbeto, we were told it was passion fruit. So even though my husband hadn't planned on it, he had to get a scoop -- as passion fruit is his favorite flavor. I'm sure this place will become quite popular once discovered. And don't be put off if you read somewhere that there is a Cheesecake Factory connection. They are its own separate entity under the umbrella. And dining here, you would not know it is part of a chain that started in Arizona. Many of the items used are imported from Italy. And it has the feel of a locally operated concern. We can't wait to introduce this place to some our friends.
