We enjoyed our visit to this restaurant and appreciated the casual yet elegant vibe here. Dinner started great with my old fashioned cocktail made just the way I like it. The lump crab and lobster bruschetta was a tasty appetizer, and the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta was such a flavorful entree. Special thanks to our server, Abby, for the wonderful recommendations and for going above and beyond to elevate our experience.

I super enjoyed my experience here! The ambience is incredible and I’d come again for the vibe alone. Tons of seating, so even if it’s busy you won’t have a long wait. Food was delicious, their bread was to die for. Seriously. They grill it and it came out amazing. Their tiramisu was good, only complaint is they tried too hard. There was no need for chocolate balls on top, it’s doing too much and kinda ruined it for me. That’s just me being picky, the experience was fantastic and I hope to come again soon!

I was very disappointed with the food. The atmosphere was very nice, really cool open concept blending the Bar area with the tables and booths. Our waitress was awesome, very friendly and attentive. We tried the Kale salad and it was OK. It was a good sized portion, but there was something missing in its taste. The Margherita pizza looked great, but it came out warm. There were still portions of mozzarella that did not melt. The most disappointing of all was the Lasagna, two slices of pasta with cheese in the middle - not tasty at all. The short rib meat is what stopped me from sending the dish back. Well, overall we were very disappointed because I was looking for this restaurant to be my go to place in this area, and it’s not.

We celebrated San Valentine's Day, and it was great. Our server Mathew was great, and the food was delicious.

I recently dined at North Italia for brunch, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The standout dishes were the Bolognese and Squid Ink Tonnarelli. The Bolognese was rich and hearty, with a perfect balance of flavors and a velvety texture that clung to the pasta beautifully. The meat was tender, and the sauce had that slow-cooked depth that made every bite satisfying. As for the Squid Ink Tonnarelli, it was a delightful surprise – the briny, ocean-forward flavor of the squid ink combined with fresh tiger shrimp created a wonderfully unique dish. The pasta itself was perfectly al dente, highlighting North Italia’s dedication to quality and authenticity. And dessert? Simply divine. The banana coffee cake was warm, moist, and had just the right amount of sweetness, while the pumpkin butter cake was the ultimate autumn indulgence. The cake was soft with a hint of spice, and the pumpkin butter added a rich, creamy finish. Both desserts were the perfect way to end the meal. North Italia truly knows how to blend classic Italian flavors with inventive touches and affordable pricing– I’ll definitely be back! Pasta-tively amazing experience.

Food was amazing. We ordered the squid ink tonnarelli and the spicy meatball pizza to share between two people. The pasta was one of the best ones I’ve ever had.

Great place for Italian food including dessert. Always a very busy place but still manages to provide excellent service.

Had a Mother and Daughter Date Night tonight at this location and our experience was wonderful. Very beautiful restaurant and we had a cozy little table in the corner. We have visited North a number of times at a different location so I've been craving the Arancini since my last visit. The Cacio e Pepe Arancini was absolutely mouthwatering! Creamy, crunchy, EVERYTHING! Paired with the pesto aoli, we were in Heaven! Highly recommend. For my Entree I chose the Braised short rib lumache. Initially the thought of horseradish scared me, but it was not off putting at all. The beef was tender and the sauce was amazing, I even asked for an extra cup to go. My only con would be the noodles themselves. I prefer a fully cooked noodle and I felt these were a little too chewy for my liking but it did not hinder me from enjoying the dish overall. We will definitely be back !

Yelp
Easily one of my best restaurants encounters. I can count on one hand how often a first time experience impressed me this much. The experience was above and beyond. Jess provided a multi Michelin star level of service. Something I do not say lightly but certainly well deserved. I hope North Italia acknowledges how fortunate they are to have her. The restaurant provides an airy and open concept mixed with a splash of natural elements to help break up the modern architecture. I would encourage North Italian to carry the happy hour menu into the main dining. I think they are limiting themselves by excluding it to the bar. Parking is a little tricky during peak hours but it's more than worth it for the experience. The food and drinks were fantastic. I would strongly recommend the Marco Polo cocktail. We tried a variety of dishes that all met or exceeded expectations. Thank you for providing a lasting and memorable experience.

Yelp
Was craving some pizza and was in the City Centre area. Headed to North Italia for some delicious pizza. Ordered The Pig Pizza which is basically an all meat pizza. I was so hungry as the Saturday had gotten away from me with various errands. Took 1 bite of the pizza and it was delicious. But as I continued to eat the pizza it got spicy and spicier. I told the waitress and she said it might be one of the meats but nothing added. So perhaps eat slow and take off the meats. Again I was so hungry so I ate what I could as I did not want to wait to get something else cooked. Later the waitress mentioned that 2 other tables had also complained and that the pizza maker had put the wrong spices on several of the pizzas would I like a FREE ice cream to cool my mouth. Really! Yes & thank you.

Claudia C.

Yelp
I have never been to North Italia before and was craving pasta so we came in on a random Friday night. We did not make reservations before we just stopped in and were sat right away. The staff were awesome, very attentive and took care of us the entire evening. The restaurant is pretty big inside, plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor with bar seating as well. Highly recommend the truffle butter garlic bread delicious. My fiancé got the chicken parmesan and it was delicious! I got the spicy rigatoni, I liked it but it was pretty spicy I would recommend the chicken parm as I just really loved it. We will definitely be back I was impressed with the food and the large menu with plenty to pick from!

Amira J.

Yelp
The meatballs were divine, pizza was freshly made with simple ingredients, not too much not too heavy just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Definitely would love to explore more menu options next time. Waitress was helpful, service was lovely and the ambiance is great for dates or happy hour with friends.

Amy M.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner Monday afternoon and it was definitely getting busy at 5. Luckily, we were able to be seated without a reservation but if you're planning on coming, I'd highly recommend one. Happy hour runs from 3-6 pm in which we got a pitcher of sangria. The sangria was really good and a good bang for your buck if sharing with friends. For food we got the funghi pizza and a side of brussel sprouts. Brussel sprouts were good and lemony. The pizza unfortunately was so greasy. I'm not sure if it was added oil or poor cheese quality but it wasnt enjoyable. My friend ordered the spicy vodka pasta which she enjoyed and had no reservations about. For dessert, we got the tiramisu. The little chocolate balls on top I didn't like but the tiramisu was fine. While the restaurant was very lovely and upscale, the food (pizza in this case) left a lot to be desired. Service was good considering how busy the restaurant was.

Yelp
The ambiance at North Italia is sophisticated and vibey. I appreciated how the manager came by my table and checked in on my dining experience. Since I was a bit peckish, I decided to only order an appetizer. I can happily report North Italia appetizers are the perfect size. Their appetizers are smaller than an entrée, but bigger than a European appetizer. The meatballs were juicy and the sauce enhanced the flavors. I ordered a tiramisu for dessert and it was also the perfect size, topped with chocolate beads and had a delicious dusting of espresso powder.

Yelp
This is a decent spot for a casual dinner that's not too casual. The "I tried just enough but didn't sweat" vibe - nonchalant, if you will. It's good for both second dates and hangouts between friends of 25+ years. I was somewhat disappointed by the drinks list. No cocktails jumped out (other than the one that sounded promising but I still forwent because it was based on a coconut-infused rum... not my idea of an Italian cocktail), and while the menu had all the parts of a Negroni, it wasn't on it. Wines by the glass started at $17 for bigger reds (Nebbiolo is Pinot Noir's Italian cousin so I don't count that) and made me think, "Maybe I am now outdated in thinking a glass of wine can be available for $15 and under in Houston"; while $2 is not a meaningful amount, I was surprised to see the dearth of options. As for food: It had been years since I last visited so we decided to hit all three main areas (pizza, pasta, entree). Lumache allla Norciana: Great pasta al dente - are all their pastas made in house? bc I didn't think this could be a fresh pasta (and I mean well when I say that - I like chewier pastas with more bite). Delicious ground sausage smeared all over. 5/5 Pork Milanese: I imagine this was a pork loin or shoulder cut. Deep fried and balanced out with pickled veggies and fresh arugula, but this felt like a chicken katsu. What I mean is that it could've used some pounding and not be as chunky. 3/5 Funghi pizza: Mushrooms on a white pizza with what tasted like lavender or herbs de Provence, which was a twist. The dough was hard and there wasn't much sauce or cheese though. Surprisingly tasted better after dinner so probably best for takeout. 3.5/5 Overall, I enjoyed the dinner. Friendly hostess and strong service with ample parking in the garage. One note for the restaurant: If patrons with reservations walk in during happy hour into a nearly-empty restaurant, it would be nice to at least offer the happy hour seating (which is limited to the bar seating or high tops), even if they decline.

Yelp
Best Italian place to eat on Houston.... Very nice environment, good attention, 100% recommended!!!

Destinee R.

Yelp
This establishment is becoming my go to! I've visited locations in both Houston and San Antonio and the quality is all around consistent. The inner interior is spacious and inviting. Service is always great. My absolute faves by far are the white truffle bread and short rib lumache. The bread is always so soft and buttery. The lumache is a light cream sauce, with the most tender braised short rib. The squid ink tonnarelli has great spice, and was my first time having calamari outside of it being fried. It was very good. The mule-grano is always my go to cocktail. A perfect balance of sweetness and spirit. Can't wait for my next visit to try new items!

Yelp
Found another great date night spot! Vibe and food are both 10/10. I'm a fan of thin pizza and their dough crust is perfect, not too bready yet still fluffy and firm, so I could taste the aromatic margherita sauce and cheese really well. Spicy rigatoni vodka was another my fav. Creamy subtly tangy, not spicy at all, and the pasta was cooked al dente. Lastly, we ordered the roasted salmon, it was grilled just right. Lightly smoky and every bite was refreshing with light lemon twist to it. Service was fast and friendly, we made a reservation which was so right because they do get really crowded on a weekend night.

Rachel M.

Yelp
I'm glad I made a reservation ahead of time, because even on a Tuesday at 7:45 pm, it was crowded. It took a good bit before someone came to our table and when he finally did, he had to ask if we had been helped yet. Unfortunately the waiter was a little on the quieter side so with the loud restaurant, it was hard to hear him. I almost felt like I was screaming. He brought us our drinks and took our food order but then another waitress came and said she would be taking care of us. It seemed a little chaotic. The food was decent. Good Italian food but not amazing. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana and the portions were huge!! I ordered gluten free seafood pasta. Mine was fine. The shrimp were a little rubbery and it was very heavy. It seemed like the butter or oil had separated out of the cream sauce. Nothing special to write home about. My husband and I went here for a date night and we left full and satisfied, but I don't think we'll come back.

Yelp
For a Thursday it was super busy impact. I'm so excited there is a second location in Houston. We got the bread and meatballs for an app, paired they were to die for. Def recommend I got the rigatoni vodka pasta. This has been my go to pasta and it did not disappoint. Parking valet or garage. Love that this is in city center now!

Samantha M.

Yelp
North Italia was the best dinning experience! We had my daughter's 21st birthday with a party of 8. The food was delicious, I would say perfect! Our server Jess, was professional and friendly. The atmosphere was cozy, comfortable and inviting! Truly- exceptional!

Christina A.

Yelp
Honestly I'm so shocked at how good this food was! Like I was in awwwww at how good it was. Food was full of flavor I mean bursting! The waitress was sooo nice and really helpful. I forgot the name of my meal but it had shrimp and crab and she said she usually gets thicker noodles so that's what I did! Everyone else in the group food looked amazing as well! Ambiance is very nice and was able to sit outside all in all amazing vibes

Ann L.

Yelp
Excited to have North Italia in the area. Love the ambience here and it's located in a good spot at City Centre. You can park in the garage of studio movie grill or do street parking/valet. It was a bit crowded on a Friday night so we had to wait for a bit. They have a bar inside and also an outside bar. We enjoyed sitting outside given all the lights that were lit up at night. It's such a nice vibe. Our server was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the squid ink tonnarelli which is always my go-to here. I love the texture of the squid ink pasta and it went perf with the truffle garlic bread. They are very focused on quality. Everything was delish. This is such a great addition to City Centre.

Jason Z.

Yelp
Located in Memorial City, on the south side opposite the movie theater. They got outdoor and indoors seating and parking is available streetside (paid) and in the garage (free). It's usually a basic girl happy hour spot; we decided to come for lunch instead. Ambiance is the upscale casual Italian vibe that's been going around everywhere inside the loop recently. We ordered the meatballs and calamari as apps for the table. The meatball was lukewarm and an unsuccessful reheat; I was not a fan of the tomato sauce with the cheese either. The fried calamari dish was also a bit oily with a disappointing batter. Both are a bit disappointing compared to expectations. I ordered the prosciutto and fig pizza and a side of brussel sprouts for the main. The pizza had a nice crust and was pretty solid. The pizza was a bit heavy on the crust rather than mostly topping but had good flavor and execution. The sprouts with the pine nuts was also a nice touch but a bit on the salty side. Overall, I preferred what I ordered at their uptown location and definitely missed on ordering some of their better dishes this time. Definitely should've done some pasta and different apps. The meatballs and calamari were a miss for me but the pizza made up a bit for them. Order carefully!

Yelp
North Italian recently occupied the space that the Tasting Room was in in City Center and this is an incredible upgrade. They have done so much better with the prime outside space they had. Nice, comfortable and attractive seating outside with good waitstaff. Even some cool high tables outside, fans, awnings, umbrellas. Inside they have completely redone it. It seems so much lighter and I think they must have lifted the ceiling or done something as it just seems so much more spacious when obviously it's the same. They view it the kitchen is more open and the bar area looks much more open and light. The good is very good as you would expect if you have visited their other location. I have been there twice now and did the fungi pizza both times. Dining partners did bruschetta , salads, pasta etc. All reported high quality tasty food with appropriate sizes. Wine list is not large, like the tasking room, but its good. Chianti, was good , so was the Chardonnay. At least during spring , and i guess Fall this will be the place to be in City Center. I have already booked again for this coming Monday

Casey B.

Yelp
Freaking. Ah-mazing. Are. You. Kidding. Me?!? From drinks, to the appetizers, to the main course, to the service and ambiance, North Italia was missing in my life. You just can't go wrong. If you consider yourself an old fashioned connoisseur, try the Golden Fig. It was so beautifully smooth...I will have sweet dreams in my future about this delight. The bar tenders were attentive, amiable, and entertaining. Such a fun spot. 100% recommend.

Anthea R.

Yelp
This location's space is more spacious and open which I love!! No one is bumping into your chair while they are going by your table or knocking things off like it happens at the post oak location. The service is wonderful, ask for Lauren . The drinks are not watered down. The braised short rib is flavourful and seasoned to perfection and is one of my go tos. Their squid ink pasta is a great choice as well. Recently tried the Branzino and was pleased with how good it was, especially paired with their gem lettuce salad. My only concern is that the root vegetables that come with the braised short ribs are not tender but very tough and hard to cut with the knife or enjoy with the main component. This is the second time the vegetables came out tough when ordering that dish. Also, they were quick to rectify their overly salty pesto pasta and make sure it was done right. But they do have an issue with over salting their food because the shrimp scampi was also very salty.

Samah K.

Yelp
Came here for brunch with friends. Ambiance is really cute, and everyone should definitely note that this restaurant is on the pricier side. The food was really good and so were their mocktails. Service was excellent! Overall, a really nice brunch spot to check out.

Evelyn L.

Yelp
I love north Italia! So happy they finally opened up a location on the west side. We came here for Valentine's evening without a reservation but we were seated within 5 minutes. We ordered a plate of calamari which was delicious. I usually order the pesto pasta, braised brisket, or the spicy rigatoni, but with lent starting today I had to order seafood. Our server recommended I order the squid link pasta but I was super hesitant when he mentioned the noddles would be black. When I tell you how SHOCKED our whole table was when we tried it ; everyone LOVED IT. The best pasta I've had so far from north Italia. I cannnnnooottttt wait to come back & order this same pasta again. It was truly amazing! Both deserts were also very good but the tiramisu was my favorite. Service was slightly slow but with Valentine's Day they did their best!

Wesley S.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We sat at the bar on the outside portion. I love the open concept and on a nice evening the outside is great. Staff were great and nice. The place was packed and they handled it well. This place will be a hot spot for a while so make reservations on open table. Drink: Old fashioned was awesome. Food: Calamari was not very good. I don't like the breading they used and it was a bit chewy. Tasted like something frozen and re-heated. Chicken Parmesan was excellent.

Vik P.

Yelp
One day prior reservations for a party of 10, had to settle for a 5pm res, though we got a 3 hour window so it really worked out. We had a great waitress named Ana, she was very attentive on waiting on so many of us. They set us up with a long booth, outside of having to slide in 3 spots it was very comfortable and spacious. Drinks I tried the fig version of the old fashioned and a regular old fashioned. The fig, which I asked with less brown sugar, yet it still came out too sweet for my palette. I did the same with the regular one. The whiskey (whistlepig) that comes with them I actually really enjoy, but you don't need to much sugar since that whiskey is already on the sweeter side. Food Bread - not complimentary Creamy tomato soup - delicious and it wasn't just a cup, more like a bowls worth. Pizzas - 10" - 6 slices Favorite was The Pig, flavors just stood out. Then a very cheesy Margarita Hot honey & prosciutto - was thinking this one had been my favorite, but the hot honey wasn't spicy enough. Entree Me & a friend always split plates so we ordered Short rib pasta, huge elbow macaroni good, but not comparable to what I came here for. Squid Ink Tonnarelli - had a similar dish at Zanti's and loved it so wanted to try it here and it did not disappoint. Though was too full to get to, save the best for last and have leftovers for tomorrow...yes. After dinner topped it off with a cappuccino the size of my face. It comes with a cube or brown and white sugar to choose from. Besides the pizza and bread everything else are huge portions. Definitely glad I finally got to try this place after passing by it in Rice Village so many times. Thanks again Ana for the wonderful service!!

Whitney J.

Yelp
I enjoyed my experience at this location. Our server was really kind and attentive. I liked the pizza we ordered but I wish it would've came out hotter. It was lukewarm. I enjoyed the galleria location a bit more than here, but I would still return to either one.

Ananya S.

Yelp
Wow really beautiful and the service is great! I sat at the bar for an alone Valentine dinner - husband is out of town - everyone was so lovely. No happy hour on Valentines but I did get a yummy carpaccio and a refreshing spritz. Will definitely be back with my girls for a fancy brunch!

Cynthia V.

Yelp
We came here for a work lunch; made a reservation since we had a larger group - definitely recommend if this is the case for you as well since this place is popular! Staff was very attentive and efficient throughout the meal, giving great recommendations when asked and keeping your drinks filled. We started with a few appetizers - the truffle bread (amazing, must get); crispy eggplant parm (delicious); meatballs (hearty and yummy); and crispy calamari (great crisp). For mains, everyone's meals look great; portions are huge so you will leave full and happy! I had the chicken parm sandwich and it was really yummy. Parking - paid street or free in the nearby City Center garages.

Kasey Z.

Yelp
The ambience of North Italia is very nice and good for a night out, but I thought that most of the pastas are a bit bland and definitely overpriced. I did really enjoy the white truffle garlic bread, it had the perfect amount of truffle and garlic flavors!

Sasha G.

Yelp
Love the location of this new North Italia, they scored finding a corner lot in City Center. Love the vibes, open floor concept and friendly staff. We have been to the post oak location several times, love the food, we tried a few new items this time going and unfortunately it was a miss. Suggestions to the manager of this new location: 1. Please turn down the music, I hate yelling over all the noise. 2. Please tell your chef to cut 50% of the salt content on the chicken parm dish. The pasta and chicken both were overwhelming. 3. Please tell your wait staff, if there are seasonal changes to items to let the patron know when ordering the item. 4. Please add a few options in mock-tails, that's always a bonus. These hiccups won't keep us from going back, but we know what not to order now. And we'll probably go at lunch rather than dinner, hopefully it won't be so loud.

Kennedy W.

Yelp
I'm a huge North Italia fan! One of the downsides of moving from the Post Oak area was that I went from having a two minute commute to North Italia to a twenty minute one. Now I'm back to being in close proximity and I couldn't be happier. This location is much larger than the one in the Galleria but it's still as busy. If you're eating solo, you're sure to be restricted to bar seating. I usually order the chicken parm but decided to venture out and get the pizza instead. One of the things I like about North Italia is the portion sizes. I always end up taking food home. The pizza was delicious! It's topped with fig, prosciutto, arugula, and goat cheese. I also had the Julietta cocktail which was great, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, and a cappuccino. I'd say the City Centre location is a great addition and I plan on frequenting it whenever I craze pasta.

Victoria N.

Yelp
This location is a large, clean restaurant with a friendly and attentive staff. The portions are big, and the food is always consistent. I tried the beef carpaccio, and it was super flavorful--I'd definitely order it again. The braised short rib lumache was good, with the beef being super tender. The funghi pizza was great too. We also got some kids' meals, and they went over well. Overall, North Italia is a solid spot for a good meal.

Isabella F.

Yelp
Holy moly awesome pizza. Perfect size to share or eat yourself. Loved the hot honey on the pizza.

Houston E.

Yelp
This Italian spot has gained popularity, and after visiting a couple of times, it's easy to see why. I've tried their pizza, rigatoni pasta, truffle bread, and salmon served over lentils. While the food is solid, nothing stood out as particularly exceptional or memorable. That said, the ambiance, restaurant atmosphere, and service were all excellent, creating an enjoyable dining experience. It's the kind of place that's reliable for a casual meal but doesn't quite reach the heights of standout Italian cuisine. Overall, I'd rate this spot 3.5 stars. It's a good choice for a pleasant evening out, even if the food itself doesn't steal the show.

Apryl M.

Yelp
We had dinner date a friend at the new location in City Centre. What can I say, the ambiance is nice just like the Galleria location. We had excellent waitress can't recall her name but the new the wine list very well and had great recommendation for our selection. I like that it's closer to Katy and wasn't hard access from parking lot. This is my second time dining at this restaurant so my expectations were the same as the Galleria location. Food was delicious and freshly made pasta was seasoned and favorable. We order appetizers and really enjoyed the eggplant This is a nice spot to bring out of town guest to dinner and not overrun with kids, etc. Nothing against kids but sometimes you have to get out of Katy to enjoy a grownup dinner environment...LOL. I didn't see any special meals but maybe I missed that. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

Cate R.

Yelp
Arrived on Sat night at 7:30. 45 min wait despite having a reservation. Lasagna soup didn't have any noodles. The waitress brought the soup (acknowledging there were no noodles) but offered to bring me a bowl of noodles later. . "Soup" was marinara sauce (sans meat). They were out of expresso as well. Apparently this place is so north that they don't have any of the Italian staples--like pasta and expresso. To top it off, the waitress had a crap attitude and seemed genuinely annoyed that we sent the soup back and rolled her eyes when we didn't want "something other than an expresso"

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Service and experience last night was not good. We walked in and expected it to be busy, but didn't have much attention from our server and generally the staff seemed unhappy. We ordered the: * Zucca Chips - Texture was amazing but way too much salt! 7/10 * Wild Shrimp Scampi - super buttery and garlic, our favorite dish of the night. 8.8/10 * Seared Sea Scallops - the corn risotto was very interesting. I feel like the scallops could've had more flavor. 7/10 * Sunset Over Pompeii Cocktail - was not good, way too much syrup. Not a balanced drink, it just tasted like medicine. I asked for a cup of lemons to add to it. I was definitely able to drink it afterwards. 5/10 * Tiramisu - delicious, I believe it had dark chocolate wafer balls on top to give it a crunch. It definitely added more depth and richness into the dessert. 8/10

Yelp
I went to pickup a Pasta Bolognese recently since I was in this area, as opposed to the Post Oak one I would normally go to. The Bolognese was very delicious, fresh, hearty, savory and meaty in taste. The long pasta noodles were very fresh, moist and tasty as well as being my favorite pasta option to get here with the bolognese, vodka sauce and pesto sauce. The service on this visit was very friendly and efficient. I will happily come back to this N I location in the future when I am in the Memorial section.

DeHorne S.

Yelp
North Italia isn't bad by far, however the facility, food and service were all as expected. Nothing really stood out and all was overall pretty good. Considering the pricing, it better be. Seating was a bit too tight for me as the neighbors are within earshot. We had a table of 4 and were serviced right away. Got the prosciutto and bruschetta for a premium price of 4 pieces. The rest of the table eventually ordered the foods, I got the seasonal salad, wife got the squid ink pasta and our buddy got the pizza. While the food wasn't exactly mind-blowing, all were relatively delicious. Each entree was ~$20+, in my book for a fine-casual food, I suppose its acceptable. However its still pricy in my book. For corporate italian food, North Italia is rather decent. However I just wasn't impressed, but rather my expectations were met. Just A-Ok

Hoonie K.

Yelp
This is the 4th or 5th location of North Italia I've been to, and it's my favorite one. They opened not too long ago, and they did a phenomenal job with the interior design. We've been here a couple of times in the past month. The service was been great, and the food very good as well. We'e had: White Truffle Garlic Bread - 5/5. So good! Not overly "tuffled" but enough of a hint, that it does add a layer on top of what would otherwise be a great garlic bread. Calamari Fritti - 4/5. Very classic style and good but not uniquely so. Italian Meatballs - 4.5/5. Very good rendition of the classic meatball. Moist and flavorful. Funghi Pizza - 4.5/5. If you want to try something without the typical red sauce, I would highly recommend. Squid Ink Tonnarelli - 4/5. I've had this dish at multiple locations. Very interesting dish as to me, it tastes more like an Asian dish than an Italian one. Look forward to our next meal here!

Yelp
Dined in for dinner for first time on Friday evening. There is sufficient parking in the area. Wait was about 30 min for two. We decided to just sit and eat at the bar. It took some time to get water and our drink order in. We tried the zucca chips and garlic bread. I'd order both again. Nice portions for sharing. We then split a margherita pizza which was so good!! I've been to Italy so picky about Italian food now. I'll defintely be back!

Yelp
I was so happy to see North Italia sneak a second location into CityCentre, taking over the previous Tasting Room space. If you're new to North Italia, it's worth dropping by for a bite. They are an elevated Italian restaurant that still runs fast for professionals on lunch, with a myriad of delicious traditional and not so traditional offerings, including some excellent pizzas. We've been fans of the Post Oak location for some time, and their new locale borrows hard from the original's aesthetic but is using their larger space to smooth over some of the complaints surrounding the original's cramped layout. Lunch will be a beast here, since it's Citycentre and adjacent to so many work spaces, but our first lunch visit was a fairly smooth one. Yes, front of house is still working out the kinks, and hiring servers anywhere is still a problem for Houston, BUT overall it was a good first dry run. We started with the Chef's Board, Cacio e Pepe Arancini, and the Italian meatballs for the table. Everything came out fairly quick and tasty. I ordered the Chicken parmesan Entrée portion for my main, and it did not disappoint. It was more than I bargained for, portion wise, so I even made a second meal out of it by taking it home. All of my tablemates were happy with their orders. Nothing was forgotten, cold, or downright off, so I'd mark that as a win. Service was a little bumpy, but the staff is clearly new, and they got things figured out shortly after the original confusion of who was on first. I don't see this being a repeat problem. I haven't made it back for dinner, but I've already added it to my lunch rotation for work events, and look forward to a follow up visit.

Yelp
This was our 5th time to dine at North Italia city center=T&C. We wanted to make this our "GoTo" for HHR, cocktails, etc. 1. MEATBALLs we "Thought" Great = Last night 11/14/24 = Meatballs were Not Delicious & They were Tough/hard had to use Knife= maybe over microwave?? not much Polenta under meatballs. Why no fresh Parmesan offered = Not for meatballs or Bolognese. 2. smoked Salmon Avocado toast Not Good = Smidget of Avocado spread & Not Smokey Salmon = just plain salmon = I love salmon But That Salmon I needed more Avocado spread or some sauce to eat it= Dry Blob. Disappointing as not as good as Post Oaks = something is wrong and the Fact that it was Not very busy on a Thursday 5-7pm speaks volumes. No cocktail straw was put in either Sicilan Marg I got = I used a tall water straw. My husband didn't like the wide long noodles = He was not even given a big spoon to swirl noodles around fork. Not sure we'll go back.

Yelp
The food is very well portioned, they have appetizers, pasta entries, pizzas, and salads. In my opinion their meatballs and bolognese are signature dishes, but everything I have tried it's very fresh and tasty. Service was prompt and polite. The place itself its very well located in the City Centre. It has both indoors and outdoors seating, and it's good for big or smaller parties. It's very casual chic type of dinning. The only downside would be parking its share with the area, so you may to do a little bit of walking.

Yelp
Delicious! I enjoyed my 23rd birthday here. It wasn't very busy on Wednesday night at 6:30pm. The restaurant was beautiful, and had a great design layout. Definitely coming back for drinks on the patio. The waitress was really nice and made great conversation. It did take awhile for the food and dessert to come out, but honestly I didn't mind because it looked so beautiful and it was so yummy. sorry i didn't take pictures of the food! I have chicken parm which comes with parmesan rigatoni. it was pretty basic of me to order, but it tastes amazing. I appreciated how crispy the parm was, as I feel most restaurants dont thin the chicken enough, but here they do! big portions. I also ate the seasonal butter cake which was red velvet cake, if you can snag a bite, it's so good. To drink I had the Red Sangria which tastes sweet and fruity!

Yelp
I was a little sad north Italia got rid of their meatballs and spaghetti until I tried the replacement dish. That is a similar dish. It was great even better. I can't wait to go back and have it again! Great job as always will definitely be back.

Yelp
Tried to order three different entrees from the menu, waiter came back saying they were out of everything I tried to order. Left and went to Whataburger, they never run out of hamburgers.

Yelp
Came in for a work HH and everything was great. The bar opened to the outside so we got alot of fresh air. The weather was beautiful. HH menu has a great selection. We ended up staying a few hours and it got really busy for dinner service-- given it is valentines week. Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and Margherita Pizza was delicious and I highly recommend.

Yelp
This place is excellent, and yet continues to be underrated. After eating here with my family last night, I'm compelled to leave a 5 star review. The salmon, the Bianca lasagna and bolognese were all fantastic and everyone at the table agreed we need to come here more often.
