Great service and excellent food. The Squid Ink Tonnarelli is superb, and our table also tried their new version of lasagna and liked it very much. We all enjoyed both market boards and a tie-dye Margherita pizza. Good selection of desserts too. And although we didn’t get it this time, the white truffle garlic bread is her. Came to this location after less than satisfactory service at Reston. Happy to see the service at Tysons location matches the food’s great quality.match

This restaurant has a bright and lively atmosphere, making it a great spot for friends, family gatherings, or casual meet-ups. The interior is modern and spacious, so it doesn’t feel cramped. While it can get a bit busy and noisy when crowded, the vibrant energy creates a fun and enjoyable dining experience. The food is well-balanced — not too salty, but full of flavor. The calamari was light and crispy without being greasy, pairing perfectly with the dipping sauces and making it an excellent appetizer (or even a great pairing with drinks). The seafood pasta had a fresh tomato-based sauce with a rich depth of flavor that was very satisfying. The pizza came with a thin, crispy crust, and the toppings blended beautifully with the melted cheese, making each bite delicious. The cocktails were refreshing and light, complementing the food perfectly. They weren’t overpowering but rather crisp and pleasant, adding to the overall experience. Overall, this place offers a bright and energetic vibe with tasty, well-prepared dishes. It’s perfect for having a fun time with friends. Just keep in mind that it might feel a bit loud if you’re looking for a quiet, intimate dinner.

North Italia has a modern, casual, and stylish vibe—definitely a different feel compared to the Reston location. The food was delicious across the board, and the service was excellent. We ordered the arugula and avocado salad to share, and the server thoughtfully split it into two plates for us, which made the experience even better. The combination of great food, attentive service, and a chic atmosphere made this visit a real pleasure.

Google
Came here based on a lot of tik toks and reviews about this place. We did not enjoy most of all our food. The garlic bread with truffle ricotta was good and so was the classic board and the Caesar salad. Had to send back the calamari, was very chewy and overfried and tasted freezer burnt. We all ordered chicken parm and the sauce had WAY too much fennel in it. Never have I ever had fennel in my sauce anywhere and I’m Italian. The pasta with the cream sauce served with the chicken Parmesan was very good. Overall, I would not return. The Olive Garden would have been better. Would have went to trattoria in Clifton but they didn’t have any reservations. The server was extremely nice but took forever to refill drinks and any other basic requests.

I had a wonderful dining experience at North Italian! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a great meal. A special thanks to Kalsang for the outstanding service — attentive, friendly, and truly made the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing dining experience at North Italia in Vienna. We started with a pizza as an appetizer—crispy, flavorful, and perfect to share. For my main dish, I asked for a modification that our wonderful server recommended: pappardelle Alfredo with short rib. It was absolutely delicious—honestly, the short rib might be the best meat I’ve ever had in a pasta dish. I had tried the lasagna on a previous visit and felt the portion was small, but this time the pasta was not only generous, it was the best I’ve had at North Italia. We also tried the squid ink pasta with seafood, which was rich and flavorful, and the chicken parmesan sandwich, which was hearty and well-seasoned. Another standout was the shrimp spaghetti—light, fresh, and full of flavor. To end the night, we had two desserts: the classic tiramisu and another with red berries and a jelly-like layer. Both were absolutely delicious! The ambiance was another highlight—the restaurant feels new, very clean, and has a modern yet cozy vibe that makes you want to stay longer. A huge thank you to our server, who was incredibly patient with all our preferences and modifications. She made excellent recommendations and even surprised us with a candle in the dessert for the birthday we were celebrating. Truly top-tier service. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
North Italia at Tysons has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the area, and for good reason. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a stylish, warm, and inviting atmosphere. The modern yet rustic decor, the open kitchen concept, and the bustling energy of the dining area make it perfect for anything from a casual lunch to a special dinner outing. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the food and the service. Let’s start with the service: absolutely top-notch. From the hostess to the bar staff and servers, everyone is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. On my recent visit, our server not only made great recommendations, but also ensured our drinks were never empty and that every course arrived with perfect timing. You can tell the team here is well-trained and genuinely cares about your experience. They strike the perfect balance between being present and giving you space to enjoy your meal. Now, the food — simply outstanding. Every dish is crafted with care and packed with flavor. The appetizers are fresh and creative — the White Truffle Garlic Bread is dangerously addictive, and the Chef’s Board is a perfect start to share. For the main course, the Short Rib Radiatori is one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had, with melt-in-your-mouth meat and rich, balanced sauce. The pizzas have the perfect crust: slightly charred, chewy, and full of character. Everything is made from scratch, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Drinks deserve a special mention as well — the cocktail menu is refined and well thought out. Whether you’re into a strong Negroni, a refreshing sangria, or a creative seasonal special, you’ll find something to love. The wine selection is equally impressive, with both Italian classics and domestic options to pair with your meal. Parking is easy too — Tysons Galleria has ample space, and valet is an option if you're in a hurry or dressed for the occasion. North Italia isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a consistently great experience. The combination of ambiance, service, and cuisine puts it in the top tier of dining options in the Northern Virginia area. Whether you're visiting for a weekend date night, celebrating a birthday, or just grabbing a casual weekday bite, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend — make a reservation because it does get busy, and for good reason!

Google
I rarely write bad reviews, but this experience left me no choice. I had one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life, and unfortunately, it happened during what was supposed to be a special night, our anniversary. When I made the reservation, I mentioned the occasion. Upon arrival, the hosting staff and their manager were professional and welcoming. They seated us promptly and handed us the menus. So far, so good. Then the issues started. Our server introduced herself and asked for our order immediately. We politely asked for a couple more minutes to review the menu. Shockingly, she returned almost right away and asked again. We told her we were still deciding. Moments later, she returned again, rushing us to order. Feeling pressured, we went ahead and placed our order. The food itself was actually delicious, but that’s where the positives ended. The service was appalling. Once our meals were served, we were essentially ignored. I waited 15 minutes for a simple drink refill, and only after another server noticed me looking around did I get any help, but not from our waiter. I also waited 30 minutes just to ask for napkins, parmesan cheese, and pepper flakes. When the server finally came, she brought the cheese and flakes, which she should have brought after serving the food; however, she forgot the napkins. I had to ask again. This kind of inattentive, careless service completely ruined the evening for me. Even when the server seemed to realize her mistake and brought us bread and olive oil, it was far too late, so that should’ve been served before the meal, not after. Our waitress mentioned to a nearby table that the restaurant validates parking tickets, information she did not share with us before we left. I left that restaurant furious, with a pounding headache and a bitter memory tied to what should’ve been a happy occasion. I would never recommend this place for any special event. It was a huge disappointment, and I truly regret choosing it for our celebration.

Yelp
Had a great dinner at North Italia! We ordered the meatballs to start, followed by the Margherita pizza, and the ricotta cavatelli with lump crab and shrimp. Everything was flavorful and well prepared--especially paired with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. Service was friendly and attentive, even though the place was absolutely packed. The atmosphere was lively in a good way, but definitely recommend making reservations because it fills up fast. Overall, a delicious meal, good vibes, and a solid spot for Italian cravings. Would definitely return!

Yelp
We had a lovely experience at North Italia! Our server was super friendly and accomodating as we perused the menu. The interior quite spacious and bright, with windows all around. We ordered a banana coffee cake and morning board to share, which included: frittata, burrata, bread, and salad. I ended up ordering the special pesto and potato pizza with a limoncello cocktail. The pizza was wonderful! A sturdy crust, just a tinge of flop. The potatoes were tender and the pesto was potent. The limoncello had a nice lemon flavor with a healthy kick. The banana coffee cake was moist and all the board components were a lovely little grazing point amongst our conversations. Everyone at our table loved their dishes, and overall, it was a wonderful day spent with family.

Yelp
Bar experience: It took 7 minutes before anyone acknowledged me and I was right by the pick up for drinks to go to tables so many people saw that I was there and waiting to order, once I finally did get a menu I ordered and service was quick then. 3/5 Dinner experience: We had a reservation for 17 and the servers were exceptional. Drink and appetizer orders were taken immediately, the calamari was very flavorful, and the two boards were great for the group to share. Our waitress recommended the truffle bread and that was delicious too! Everyone's entree came out at the same time, stars were eggplant parm, seafood pasta, and the branzino. I was very impressed by the service and quality for such a large party. Our main waitress even took photos for us! To top It off the tiramisu was really rich and flavorful. I'll definitely be back for a big party reservation. 5/5

Yelp
Great Italian restaurant in Tysons, VA. The pizza was great, everything tasted very fresh. The appetizers I ordered were the bread and oil and the eggplant Parmesan which were both great. Lots of wines/drinks to choose from as well. The inside gives a very cozy feel. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
It's been years since dining at North Italia. Went for dinner on a Saturday in the restaurant was pretty packed both inside and outside seating. Looked like homecoming was in full swing. The best thing we ordered was probably the simple salad - the oregano dressing was delicious. Aside from that, everything else was disappointing. The calamari fritti was way over battered. They look like onion rings coming out. The arugula avocado salad was super disappointing, we can make a better version at home. We tried two pastas - cavatelli and spicy vodka rigatoni. The cavatelli was super overcooked - pasta was completely mushy. The rigatoni pasta was cooked better but still not great. Our server also wasn't attentive - we had to ask for water refills multiple times and really track her down for boxes. Parking is validated for the movie theater garage and Flower Child garage.

Yelp
Stopped by for Sunday brunch with my wife and friends. The restaurant is in a great location. Alot to see and do in the area. The place was very full but service was a little slow. The food once it came out was very good everyone in my party enjoyed there meal. Nice decor in the restaurant. The server also screwed up the checks at the end adding some confusion. Probably will return in the future and give them another try.

Yelp
North Italia is one of my top Italian chain restaurants and I'm glad I got to revisit it after so many years and still feel the quality in the food. Even with a crowded dinner service and a large party, our servers were punctual and on top of everything. Can't go wrong here in my eyes.

Yelp
Had a business dinner at North Italia and it was delicious!! Excellent cocktail menu... I had the Marco Polo which was quite good. Started with the Chef's board- Classico which was awesome. For dinner I had the bolognese and it was delicious! Service was very friendly. Ambiance was modern and the place was hopping. I would definitely recommend l!

Yelp
This is the first time I ate at this restaurant. My go to Italian is Alta Strada in Merrifield. The pasta and salad there is absolutely delicious. But decided to try this place as I've heard rave reviews. And I was not disappointed. The restaurant is quite spacious with both outdoor and indoor seating. Being in the heart of Boro brings its own special charm to the restaurant. The server was very sweet and attentive throughout. This place does offer half size portions for salad and pasta. However, they won't do half size is we choose the vegetarian option, which is a bummer. Why they can't make half size of a pasta with no meat, surprises me. That was the only thing I didn't quite like. Here is everything we ordered: - Zucca Chips: this is so good. It's fried Zucchini in chips format. It's so good. - Ceasar Salad: we got half size of this salad but wasn't a big fan. They brought out big portion of lettuce which was hard to eat. At Alta Strada, they chop the salad and mix the dressing really well. Here it was eating a big piece of lettuce, which I didn't quite enjoy. - Spicy Vodka Rigatoni Pasta: this was quite good. Definitely spicy. So if you can't handle too much spice, just be aware. This was delicious, but the spice got to me afterwards. And they didn't provide half size for this. - Tiramisu: probably one of the best Tiramisu I've had. It's delicious. Love the small chocolate pieces that come on top of it. Definitely try it. Overall, a great restaurant. Definitely on the pricey side. But the food and ambiance were great.

Yelp
Mom and I had a great time at lunch! We had 12:45 PM reservations on a Saturday. It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday afternoon, most patrons were sitting outside. We sat inside with a nice view of outside. Our server, Daniel, was very accommodating, friendly, explained the menu options to us, and served us with a smile. He checked on us frequently, which was a nice touch. The food was delicious! Fresh produce, house-made pasta, and extremely flavorful. It's a bright, well decorated and well lit restaurant. Full bar! Portions are small compared to other Italian restaurants we have visited, so plan to have a few options if you are extremely hungry. There is plenty of paid parking in the area. We used Park Mobile and parked right across the street. There's also covered garage parking available. We will definitely return!

Yelp
Great Italian spot. For a Tuesday night they were packed. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated, once seated it was a long while before someone even came over to our table. But again they were extremely busy, BUT once we did get service the server was very friendly. The food was all delicious, as well as the drinks. They do provide the calories on the menu, that can be a good or bad thing ha! They have an open kitchen area where you can see the food being prepared. The portions were very nice. There sauce was too notch, which is what you look for at an Italian restaurant. Small menu so they are doing what they do and doing it well. I loved my chicken dish and the meatballs. Everyone at the table had no complaints on their food.
google avatar

Carolyn B.

Yelp
A little bit of a wait with a reservation but the food was good. Went on a Tuesday night and this place was buzzing! If you want a quiet restaurant this place is not for you. The place was jam packed and loud which I did not mind. We went for a work dinner the food and drinks were great. Started off with the meatballs and Classico board (great for sharing) and finished with the vegetable salad and Italian spritz. Food was great and portions were good that we couldn't position about dessert!

Yelp
I always have a great meal here (and the Reston location)! Their food is always fresh and drinks are on point. My go-to is the truffle bread - I don't even like truffle that much but crave this bread. I also crave the Italian farm - the sweet, salty, and crunchy in a salad is perfection. The spicy vodka is a staple, and they do it very well - perfect amount of spice! I love arancini and theirs is pretty good. They have one of my favorite tiramisu's!! The service is usually fabulous; some are better than others but that anywhere you go! Ambiance is a chic but cute vibe - you could make it romantic or just have a regular lunch with the family. They have outdoor seating too and I love sitting out there on a nice day. You do have to pay for street and outdoor lot parking; but if you park in the garage, they validate! **video: drinks!! / italian salad/ *new* lasagna verde pizza (bolognese on the side) / caesar salad / margherita pizza (prosciutto on the side) / spicy vodka pasta / strozzapreti (parm cream pasta) / tiramisu + apple butter cake
google avatar

Francine A.

Yelp
Solid dish with a variety of other Italian options. A bit overpriced compared to the portions, but it was nicely located in Reston Town Center and close to other great shops and eateries--so it was to be expected. We were able to walk-in without a reservation, with quick service.
google avatar

Mitchell B.

Yelp
Very solid local Italian spot. Espresso Martini: Fantastic. Full body, robust flavor. Authentic espresso & perfect froth. Caesar salad: solid. I thought it lacked flavor. Some pepper after it hits the table certainly helps. Maybe a little salt too which is not usually the case. It was still good. Chicken Pesto Pizza: Phenomenal! Very nice, non-sloppy build. Held together and was incredible heated back up in the oven the next day! Ricotta Cavatelli was my dates choice. It was okay from the bite I had. She loved it the day after as well!
google avatar

Yelp
Walked in on a Friday evening and luckily found seating at the bar area so I didn't have to wait. Service was quick and friendly. The bar tender recommended the popular dishes which was helpful. Meatballs: so good! Cheesy, meaty, perfect. Spicy rigatoni: definitely has a kick but not too much. The vodka sauce was creamy and the pasta was perfectly cooked and bouncy. Not al dente which was good because I like my pasta fully cooked.
google avatar

Yelp
We were looking for a place to grab dinner before a movie and this restaurant was right across the street from the theater. Ambiance: Lovely and inviting. Plenty of lighting from the windows. Cozy decor. Food: I ordered the Braised Short Rib Marsala which consisted of short rib with beech mushroom, snap pea, heirloom carrot, and black truffle risotto. Fantastic presentation. The short rib was incredibly tender and flavorful. For dessert, we got the bombolini, a type of Italian donut. They were filled with lemon curd lying on a bed of thin blueberry sauce. I am normally not a fan of fillings in donuts (this was ordered by my dining companion) but it certainly didn't hurt to try it! Service: Excellent. Parking: We were not sure about the parking situation in this area as we have never been. We first approached the garage right next to the theater but it was $4/hour with a max of $8, we decided to look elsewhere. We also didn't know if the theater would validate parking. (After leaving the showing that evening, we found out that they do.)

Yelp
Great food but terrible terrible horrific service!!! I went with a group of 7 on a Friday night. I know it is their busy time but we reserved a table ahead of time and paid extra tips for a big group. In about an hour sitting, our server starts rushing us with a check when we were still eating our meal. What's worse is that shortly after he put our napkins inside the appetizer we were still working on and took them away to clean the table....like wth??? We were sitting there barely over an hour and what kind of restaurant takes away food while customers are still working on it. Then They didn't even ask for a dessert, and manager came to ask if we can leave quickly so people waiting can sit in. Like what??? Are you serious? It was ridiculous and rude!! I was never mistreated that way in any other restaurant or frankly anywhere!!! and felt so terrible for suggesting this restaurant to the rest of the group. If you don't want to ruin your night with terrible service, I suggest to go somewhere else! They really are good at getting on your nerves!

Yelp
Need to try food other than the pizza, the pizza was very disappointing, you pay over $20 for pizza, you should expect amazing flavors in every bite. Not the case here. I hear the other Italian food is delicious.
google avatar

Claudine L.

Yelp
Always a hit! Came on a Tuesday around 4:30 and it was pretty empty. They validate 2 parking garages (the one under the movie theater and under flower child) for ~90 minutes. I did think this was pretty short and was a bit worried we would run out of time. Ordered the truffle garlic bread to start which was delicious. I always get the prosciutto pizza which has a good balance of sweetness from the figs and the savory from prosciutto. My friend got the spicy rigatoni pasta and said it was better than the pizza . This was a little slow and we had to wave down the waiter a couple times, but the food made up for it. Plenty of seating inside and out.

Yelp
North was bustling on a Monday evening. I wanted to see what was going on and found a great place for a casual dinner. The ambiance reminded me of Greenwich Village in NY. I ordered fried calamari and pizza Margherita. The calamari was tender on the inside and crisp on the outside. Both were delicious. The service was friendly although challenging to catch up with when I wanted parmigiana for the pizza. Overall I enjoyed North and recommend.

Yelp
Solid spot for drinks after work. The White Lotus is especially good--a sweet treat but still gives you those good evening vibes. The seared scallops were well cooked on top of a bed of risotto. The braised short rib was not too fatty, but was a bit too heavy on the oil. The olive oil cake was a bit dry but their seasonal pear compote was delicious. Good quick service but we felt a bit rushed even though we arrived at 6.

Yelp
We enjoyed a late lunch here today while visiting family. Max was our server who took great care of our table. I loved the open space here, we had a large booth for six of us near the window - it was not too loud with lots of light and ambience. All of us ordered something different and we all enjoyed our dishes. I had the pesto pasta with chicken and there was plenty of chicken and I loved the fried capers and pine nuts for some crunch. The pasta with sausage and vodka sauce was delicious and I can understand why this is such a popular dish. The Stromboli was a bit spicy, but very generous, especially for the price. But the star of the show might have been dessert. We shared a tiramisu and an order of the warm Italian donuts, and both were outstanding and a perfect way to finish our meal. The manager came by to say hello and made sure our water glasses were full and our coffee cups were fresh - he chatted in such a genuine and authentic way, not just a stuffy greeting. Everything about our experience was positive, and if we didn't have plans in the afternoon, I might have moved over to the bar and enjoyed a cocktail before leaving just to spend a little more time in the space. Thank you for an afternoon of relaxed but attentive service and good food!

Yelp
Tysons North Italia is always a treat. Food, atmosphere and service are impeccable. At this visit one of our party needed his food to be gluten free. Not only did our server knowledgeably answer questions about the menu, but after our order was placed the manager approached to inform us that he and the kitchen were aware of the allergy at the table. This was so reassuring and we were very impressed.

Yelp
Food ambiance and service were all fantastic! Our server made thoughtful recommendations that delivered! Julietta - to my citrus and vanilla lovers...GET THIS COCKTAIL. Calamari-- a unique crispy puffy coating, accompanying sauce was phenomenal. Risotto balls -- perfect balance of filling to breading, perfectly fried, and I wanted to drink the creamy pesto sauce that comes with it. Spicy rigatoni -- I'm a sucker for a piping hot dish and this was exactly that. Great flavor, perfect cook on the pasta, nice savory bits of pancetta and sausage, and steaming upon delivery. Chicken pesto pasta -- I've had this myself and it was quite good. My boyfriend enjoyed it and it delivered again. Bombolini-- INCREDIBLE. I don't even have the words. I had one paired with the salted caramel gelato. The gelato was creamy and decadent. Seasonal butter cake -- good flavor but was a little dense for me (perhaps that's the point of butter cake?) Overall I enjoyed my in person visit to North Italia (first time was delivery) and will be back when I'm the area.

Yelp
spicy rigatoni vodka is the best ive ever had. every time i come here i have to order it - it has never disappointed me! my second choice will have to be the lumache alla norcina - it was so flavorful. all the dishes really, are plated beautifully. the interior is simple, yet homey. the tall ceilings help with the noise and making it feel more spacious. though, i do have some criticism about the servers here. the first time i visited, our server dismissed my concern for the spice level on a dish. he stated that i would be alright and that i should just have it how it is originally served, though he would not have known my spice tolerance. it was indeed too spicy but i attempted to finish the plate to avoid being a difficult customer. this concern was accommodated on other occasions, so i am unsure why this caused a problem at first. at my most recent visit, our server was pretty argumentative in the questions we were asking regarding allergies. my partner expressed his concern about pine nuts on the beef carpaccio and she was again, dismissive. he had to state multiple times that it was an allergy for her to agree to this accommodation. i love the food and the vibes here. i would absolutely go back despite our interactions with the staff. i just wish they were more accomodating! i do not believe these requests were particularly difficult to switch up or tell the kitchen. i am more than happy to order something else next time if the request was unreasonable.

Yelp
North Italia is one of our favorite restaurants in The Boro area of Tysons/McLean. Our son has a gluten allergy, and the server made sure to point out the menu options that were available. Also, after we placed our order, the restaurant manager came over to make sure that we knew that the kitchen was aware of his gluten allergy. I had the Americano breakfast, and it was delicious! North Italia does not disappoint. Just a heads up, there is not a lot of free parking in the area. Many of the local residents take up the free street parking.

Yelp
North Italia is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the NOVA area. The ambiance is always inviting and adds to the overall dining experience. I consistently order the bolognese, and it never disappoints; the pappardelle noodles are always cooked perfectly. While the Margherita Tie-Dye pizza was a bit salty for my taste, the workers are always incredibly friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience.

Yelp
Waseem made date night a lovely one! First time at the establishment, we walked in, the host over looked us, a waiter walked over, we asked to be seated... he said hold on, took another couple to their table and didn't return. We waited a few moments later still no one acknowledged us, I said to the hostess, hi we just need a table for two please... she rolled her eyes and said there is seating in the bar area, I asked if there were any tables or booths available, sarcastically she said no. We ended up sitting at one of the bar tables, waiters walked past us for 20 minutes until Waseem appeared. Waseem was warm attentive and welcoming, when a booth opened up on the bar side, my date and I moved as the seating was lower than the bar seats. Waseem provided us with wine samples... yum. We ended up ordering the Caesar salad which was delicious and the fungi pizza. The restaurant was busy, the restrooms were clean and the food was tasty. I have no idea why my date and I were repeatedly ignored and over-looked but Waseem provided us top-tier customer service. Gratitude Waseem... you are amazing!

Yelp
Never not a decent Italian meal to North Italia. Service is always good, ambiance is just what you need to be (whether it's date night or a family meal), and the vibes will always feel just a little fancier than a regular Italian restaurant. I always get an appetizer as my main meal as I just am not a pasta/pizza person. Get the shrimp scampi (it's amazing) and their eggplant parmesan isn't bad at all. Never tried the ice cream brookie sundae and it was really good (wish the brookie was bigger) and their tiramisu is always great. North Italia, it is what it is (if you've been there enough times).

Yelp
If loving carbs is wrong, I don't want to be right--especially when they're coming from North Italia @ The Boro. We kicked things off with the zucca chips, aka crispy zucchini heaven. My daughter's favorite--and for good reason. They're thin, golden, herb-kissed, and completely impossible to stop eating. I had to remind myself we had more food coming or I would've asked for a second round. Now onto the spaghetti and meatballs--handmade pasta, perfectly al dente, swimming in a rich, made-from-scratch tomato sauce that tastes like someone's Nonna is in the back making magic. And the all-beef meatballs? Thank you, North Italia, for giving the pork-free crowd something to celebrate. Juicy, savory, and honestly the best meatballs I've had in a long time. Then came the meatball pizza, and I nearly cried. Thin, crackly crust fresh from the brick oven, with just enough chew to balance the crunch. Topped with those same legendary meatballs and melty cheese. This is the pizza you cheat on your diet for--and then take home the leftovers and do it again the next day. Bonus shout-out to the iced tea--fruity, floral, and fragrant. Whoever came up with that blend deserves a raise and a standing ovation. And let's not forget: service was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and on point from start to finish without hovering. They actually looked like they enjoyed being there--and that vibe matters. North Italia, I came hungry and left in a full-blown food romance. Can't wait to come back for another date

Yelp
I've been to the DC location. Loved the food and the ambiance there, but the service there always sucks. The Boro location is a grand slam: good food, great service, beautiful surroundings. I had the Mother's Day Special-seafood Benedict over a spa tips. Delish. Always have to have the truffle bread as well.

Yelp
Our waitress was so sweet and attentive! We had reservations at 8 and arrived early. They sat us without hesitation. We got the Sparkling Rosé which was SO GOOD! Appetizer: Calamari which was a good 6/10. It's a different type of batter that's more like tempura. Lacked flavor but that dipping sauces saved the day! Entree: I had the short rib which literally melted as I was touching it. It was so tender and juicy over a bed of black truffle risotto and roasted vegetables. WHEWWWW!! Beautiful establishment with lots of space. They also have a cute bar area and the kitchen is exposed. Definitely a good date night, upscale family or girls night option!

Yelp
I always enjoy my visits to North Italia, and the food here is generally delicious! My go to is the white truffle garlic bread--these are absolutely to die for and a must try. The calamari, however, is just okay. It's a bit too greasy and has too much batter for my taste. As for the pasta, it's hit or miss. There have been times when it wasn't cooked properly and felt underdone, but on my most recent visit, it was perfect. I had the squid ink tonnarelli, and it was so good that I finished the entire dish. The pizza is also pretty solid, nothing extraordinary but definitely enjoyable. Overall, North Italia is a great spot with some great dishes, and I'll keep coming back for that delicious white truffle garlic bread :)

Yelp
Updated Brunch Review Our go to favorite for brunch in Tysons. The restaurant is spacious and has easily accessible parking. We love getting a big cappuccino here and ordering pizza! This time around, server poured me a heaping portion in the passione and couldn't thank him enough! Come check out North Italia next you're in town for shopping.

Yelp
We stopped by the location for a quick birthday dinner. The place is conveniently located near Tysons and has other amenities like easy parking. The food and the Service were pretty good - definitely better than their Reston location in my opinion. We will try to come back again and give it another whirl next month.

Yelp
Overall it was okay but I think there's better pasta spots. Calamari batter was a bit thick for my taste. The pasta was a bit undercooked but the flavor was nice. The chicken parm was okay. The service and ambiance was nice!

Yelp
I came here with a large party and found the staff to be very kind, accommodating, and attentive. Otherwise, I found the food and drink to be a bit overpriced (especially since there are limited vegetarian options) but the ambiance definitely is nice. I would consider coming with a smaller party.

Yelp
We were able to walk in around 6pm on a friday night. The restaurant is large but very busy! It's overall a pretty casual place with a large selection of wine. Seems great to go with a group of friends. Our waitress was super nice and gave us great recommendations. Classico - This is a very solid charcuterie board. the prosciutto pieces are soft and not too salty. some of these pieces had a nice strong smokey flavor too. the bread is warm and fluffy and taste like pizza, even more when you add the hummus with tomatos and stuff on top! love having the fruit jam as an option too. good to share with 2 people. 3 if you want to eat light. 3.75/5Bolognese - Not your typical italian noodle! this reminded me more of the flat chinese noodles and i love that. Flavorful sauce, lots of meat and great homemade texture on the pasta itself! Nice flavor and more soft than chewy but still had small bite. 4/5 Squid Ink Tonnarelli - actually has a very nice kick to it. the ink doesnt taste like much but makes it look cool. most of the calamari pieces were cooked well and not too chewy with the exception being just a couple of the smaller ones slightly chewy. The texture and flavor of the pasta is great with a nice bite and not too soft. Fresh and flavorful and the shrimp is cooked very nicely too. It doesn't get boring. 4.25/5

Yelp
Went here for girls' night and it was a nice vibe for a classy, but not too over the top kind of hang out! I personally got the seared scallops and butter cake, but didn't love it as much as I thought I would. Despite the scallops including sweet corn risotto, I felt both was too salty and didn't compliment each other very well. The butter cake wasn't very notable either... the blueberry compote made it a bit better, but the butter cake itself was too dense for me. Would definitely recommend the white truffle garlic bread! My friends got the funghi pizza, spicy broccolini, and the spicy rigatoni vodka and all seemed to like it enough. Service was good and I'm glad I tried it out, but wasn't my favorite Italian restaurant

Yelp
North Italia exceeded my expectations! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to go back! 5/5 stars

Yelp
This is my favorite go to restaurant for larger groups, and I came here for a birthday party. The staff was so accommodating with our own cake that we brought, and even gave the birthday girl a tiramisu with a candle the calamari and black squid ink pasta was great, and all the dishes were great for sharing.

Yelp
Cute calm spot, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. My server was really great she SPLIT all our foods and scheduled meals to come out accordingly. I started with the white truffle bread, a crispy fluffy garlic bread with truffle infused. It came with a spread which melted in your mouth, along with the crispy eggplant Parmesan. Although the dish was described crispy, it was not at all so just a heads up. I would most definitely still order it again! For entree we shared a Cesar salad and a pasta so the portion in photos look a little less than the norm due to us splitting the meal. Overall 10/10 location and will returning.

Yelp
I went to North Italia for a birthday dinner with friends and got the Chicken Pesto. It was well seasoned, creamy and had a pretty big portion! I loved the flower decor in the restaurant and the ambiance. It looked clean, fancy and spacious. Definitely should reserve if looking for a seat in the weekend! Their drinks were yummy, as the Roman Holiday was not too sweet. The pizza was crispy and the fig added a nice touch to the prosciutto pizza. Definitely want to go come again.

Yelp
I grabbed dinner with coworkers for my first time here. I did not know what to expect. The aesthetic of this restaurant is really pleasing. It's very clean, fresh, cozy, and modern. The menu has a decent selection of options and it's not overwhelming which I really appreciate. We ordered on a bunch of appetizers, and the shining star of the selections that we made was the white truffle garlic bread. You guys, that garlic bread melted in my mouth, the green of the cheese, the crunchiness of the created this perfect storm of deliciousness, it was like a flavor bomb exploded in my mouth. For my entrée, I ordered the Strozzapretti, and it was just ok. the ingredients had all of the makings to be an incredible dish, but it felt a little short when it came to seasoning. Personally, I felt this dish was a little bland. For dessert we shared the bombolini which are little Italian donuts filled with a custard like cream sauce. We also had a round of Espresso martini's which were perfectly crafted. Overall, there was some Highpointd and a few lows with this meal, but I really enjoyed my time at North Italia. I would be interested in trying this place out again and choosing a different entrée. The next time I come the service from the staff was great and the location is really nice as well.

Yelp
I ordered two cacio e pepe pizzas for take out, and they forgot to put cheese on half the slices in boxes. I had guests coming and there wasn't enough food, so I had to place another delivery order last minute and pay for another box and delivery fees. I did make a note on my next order to make sure there's enough cheese so I didn't have the issue again thankfully. I shall also note, all 3 of the cacio e pepe pizzas were burnt on the backs, which seems like a problem unique to the cacio e pepe pizzas as well. This used to be my favorite restaurant, but now not so sure.

Yelp
(May 2025) For the past couple of years, my wife and I saw this place on our way to Whole Foods. Last night, we finally decided to come in for dinner. First thing we noticed was how busy it already was for 5:30pm on a Saturday. We didn't have reservations. However we were still seated, with the condition we had to finish eating by 7:00pm. We've never been asked that before, but since we didn't have reservations, we obliged. For dinner, my wife and I split a few items. The first was the Little Gem Caesar ($16). We loved that our server split the salad onto two plates. Next came the Margherita pizza ($21) and the Italian meatballs ($17). The pizza was reminiscent to the one we had last summer at Via Napoli inside Disney's EPCOT. The meatballs were reminiscent to the ones from Two Meatballs in the Kitchen in Cape Coral, FL. In addition to our server splitting the salad, he was very attentive by refilling our ice tea several times. He even gave me an extra cup of ice as I prefer my tea very very cold. We will be back and will be sure to make reservations!
