"Craft House, a fixture in North Park, will be the penultimate eatery to join the lineup at Del Mar Highlands Town Center's Sky Deck project. Owner/executive chef Caesar Huerta is bringing his take on modern American cuisine fused with Mexican flavors, featuring bar bites, tacos, mac and cheese, and his signature monster burgers." - Candice Woo

Yelp
Overall North Park is a nice area of San Diego. Have alot of good food places within walking distance of eachother. All kinds of different foods. Bars as well. Anything from Fairplay to Seven grand to Redwing. Also have the observatory where you can see shows and the convenient part is you could always grab food or drinks before or after. Theirs also a target close by as well so can go shopping if needed as well. It really is a great little area. I would say parking is pretty breezy here because you have so many options for parking. And even if you have to walk theirs alot of spots you can explore or stop into for a coffee etc., Definitely a safe area. If you decide to catch a lyft or uber driver won't have to many issues with pick up unlike gaslamp. So if you are visiting the area or live in San diego and Haven't visited much of north park I'd recommend a walk down or an afternoon stroll.

Yelp
Everything you need is right here. Good food, beer, bars, music venues, beautiful people and even a distillery! Oddly enough, everything you don't need is here too. Such as, dog poop left on the ground, (no stray dogs here..) urine scented sidewalks, thefts, car break-ins, rude and smelly folks, paid parking in residential neighborhoods. I still go, but even my 20 year old daughter has witnessed the transition since we've been going for about 15 of those years. Everyone thinks it's cool to own a dog but they lack the decency and or common sense to care for them. Carry those little baggies and keep them leashed. Simple right? Apparently not for some. This happens in my neighborhood too, so possibly this is a millennial thing.. Wait, maybe I shouldn't generalize and blame a generation- all ages really do apply here. Pick up after yourself AND your dog. I could name the numerous establishments here, but I do have a few favorites that I particularly like. Sicilian Thing pizza, Crazee burger, Spirits 619, Lefty's, City Tacos, Yog-Art and a few others I can't think of right now. So if you live here you may take Yoga classes that you actually pay for. I couldn't resist taking a snapshot of the sign on the power pole, which suggests your Yoga could be free if you just bend over and pick up that doggie doodoo. Are you up for the challenge or not?

Yelp
From the many areas of North Park there is much more of a longer history that goes back back to the start of the war and the start of the city. You need to the oldest locations there are a few clues that are near by North Park and many buildings that make up the main drive. The many city streets the names of the states that you find across the United States from Ohio Street and Texas yes the many streets are named that way. With the years during the war there is a famous foot bridge that is of the first bridges where the first cable cars traveled up and down University and Park. There are many areas of North Park that have aloe of historical heritage to the first water system. And the many of the first cable cars that came from the North Park area that ran to the many areas downtown. On the strip of the buildings you may find that many of the businesses look new is they have a longer history back to the 1950s.

Yelp
Lots of interesting shopping and food in this area. Parking is easier here than downtown or little Italy. $1 parking before 6pm across from Verbatim Books... at least on Sunday.

Yelp
This has to be the most sentimental review I've ever written with this five-star rating! I once lived in this neighborhood right near the edge of University Street. It could get noisy at night and there was a never lack of excitement it seemed. But I loved some of the shops down here! It's proximity to Balboa Park was certainly a perk. But it has its good assortment of shops and restaurants of all kinds, including one of the best camera shops around in George's Camera. Cafe Calabria is also a winner, though hopefully it's still open with the COVID situation. Another exciting thing is that my church has a satellite congregation in the area. Gotta say that North Park had everything I needed! I don't have much more to say and it's probably crazy to give it five stars. But the ratings are always in the eyes of the beholder's experience! So I'm going to stick to my sentimental rating scale here! Do visit North Park. I'd say it's a little underrated, but you'll have no problem finding something you'll like - just do the walk around. Plenty of shops are waiting for you! Recommend: HIGH

Yelp
I can't believe I'm the second person to write a review for North Park. I really love NP because they have some cool bars, great restaurants and just a great vibe. I'm going to list some of my favorite spots in North Park. 1. Hammond's Gourmet Ice Cream!!! 2. Tostada North Park-Seafood/Mexican spot!! 3. Modern Times Flavordome which is a Brewery!!! 4. Venissimo Cheese shop!! 5. Seven Grand which is an old fashion bar!! 6. The Office which is a dive bar with great prices!!! 7. Fatboy's Deli and Spirits they have some great sandwiches!!! Okay that's enough to name a few but overall North Park is great and is definitely my hangout spot when I'm in this area.

Yelp
Trendy/trending North Park in San Diego ranks in my top 10 towns in SoCal. Great restaurants, sports bars and coffee shops are here as well as an eclectic bookstore (can't remember the name). Parking is difficult and you'll have to circle a few times to find street parking. While you are circling the town, many walls are covered with street art (much like a POW WOW event). I was also shopping for real estate and realized that not too many homes are listed for sale here. Which means people don't leave a great town unless they have to and they eventually rent it out. North Park is a cozy community of older, smaller single family homes. Great town with a great vibe and diverse population. Definitely a place to spend the morning or afternoon exploring.

Yelp
I love North Park (a section of San Diego). As a queer person, this part of San Diego is very open and accepting of LGBT+ people. There are tons of things to do for all people. There are beautiful old homes and newer ones, along with apartments, and although it can be pricey down here, it is also nice because you are surrounded by everything you need.

Yelp
The North Park DT area along 30th and University Avenue is an area teeming with every type of restaurant, colorful dive bars and unique retail businesses. I'm particularly a fan of Cafe Calabria, possessing outstanding Neapolitan Pizza, Lattes and other Italian food (see separate review) and for an outstanding burger, Crazee Burger (separate review) and Urbn - North Park's BBQ Chicken Pizza and their fantastic Mashed Potato Pizza (also a separate review). North Park has a weekly Certified Farmers' Market every Thursday. It is held, rain or shine, from 3PM to 7:30PM. The market covers three blocks at 3000 North Park Way, from 30th Street to Utah Street. I have purchased some of my favorite items here. I found Bitchin' Sauce, Hopkins AG Almonds and Witt Pickles. Fresh produce comes from several farms: J R Organics Farm, Smit Farms, Valdivia Farm, and Rodney Kawano Farm. Also, local meat and eggs are available from Da Le Ranch and Three Sons Farm, spices from Smij Spicery and baked goods from The Bread Bar and Maya's cookies. You cannot pass up the delicious Indian food at Masala Cottage, Gourmet Tamales or Sabor Piri Piri's tastes of Africa. Last but not least, you will find San Diego-made crafters and the SD Vintage Flea section. There are definitely deals to be had here. As far as actually 'living' in this town, if you're not hipster, you will not be a good fit, especially by the mostly 'fluid' community. I finally moved from NP because I became annoyed by homeless people literally congregating on my front doorstep. They would regularly use our outside faucets to wash themselves, and that was unsettling to witness when walking to my detached garage. They were mostly harmless, but still, you never really know. Even though the condominium we lived in had a garage (a necessity in this community), the building was old and dated, and could have had a better layout. After awhile, we discovered our small complex was riddled with mold; a common problem in this town. If you are considering renting or buying in North Park, make sure you have mold tests conducted before you sign on the dotted line. The average home in North Park is modest at best in size. You will not find any mansions in this town. North Park is a central-located town in San Diego proper, bordering the neighborhoods of University Heights, El Cajon, Mission Valley and Hillcrest. Housing is expensive for what you get, but perhaps there are deals to be had, just like in any other San Diego neighborhood. For activities, restaurants and the Farmers Market, North Park is an okay town to visit for a day trip.

Yelp
Well dang all this time I live in Northpark and I never thought to check in, ironic isn't it. Well I have to say is that stops now, Seriously though Northpark is awesome there's just so much to do and so little time, there is so much diversity hear you have everything that you could ever ask for. You have amazing restaurants in all different types of food, to some of the best breweries in town, plenty of nightlife from bars to sports Tavern's. You have a events going on all the time throughout the year, Street parties God you name it it's just endless, I have lived here for years and I still have an eaten At everyplace offered here! Trust me when I say the food is delicious, I am a huge foodie and beer guy and I'm never disappointed the matter where I go around Northpark. Also there is a decent amount of parks located around North Park area which makes it one hot location for multiple people to come to from all over the place. Also including the fact that at Bird Park once a year or twice a year they do live music. And for Fourth of July you can see the fireworks perfectly. All I have to say is I love North Park.

Yelp
I would compare this town to my favorite beach town in LA which is long beach. Its a very diverse population of hipsters, homeless, and families. The houses are all so cute to look at which you have plenty of time to do since street parking is hard to find. Its best to park and walk this city, it does offer a lot of special, hole in the wall treats. The options are as diverse as the population. I have many favorite places to visit when I take a drive up there. Last night they shut down an entire street to watch a movie and have food trucks. Several nearby businesses were represented there and the crowd was a pleasent one. Thanks for having me North Park, Ill be back!

Yelp
Why does it have only one review in North Park is a really cool hip more like up-and-coming, now days used to be older and kind of run-down but every couple months they build a new hotspots in North Park the popular Area North Park is around 30th and University and then basically all around that area it's a completely fun place to go to ..... many exceptionally good restaurants, a lot of entertainment bars some really good vegan restaurants, they have a restaurant there on 29th and university called Peking it's the oldest restaurant in San Diego, actually my family knows their family and basically all their past relatives who owned it and it's a really excellent Asian restaurant... it's not Chinese it's Mandarin Szechuan...., there are a few dance studios in the neighborhood, there's some really comfortable coffee shops, some boba ice tea shops, the queen ble bees is one block away... and they have dancing and entertainment basically 7 nights a week it's one of the only affordable places to go in San Diego.. ... .. the homes in the neighborhood many of them are getting a facelift and used to have a bad reputation but now many of the neighborhood streets are looking more updated more the owners are taking care of their properties.
