This place was nice with wooden tables and atmosphere. I had their cheese soup and it was delicious. I also had a fish sandwich which wasn't too bad. Take a look at the photos I posted. Presentation was nice. Would go back again. It was busy but not as busy as at night I guess as I went during a late lunch hour.

On a Saturday night we only had to wait 10 min for a table with no reservation. Front of house was very polite, however I’d suggest a booth rather than a table if given the choice. We did end up on a wobbly table in the rear of the restaurant, but it was our first visit, so that was on me for not picking the former. Our waitress was very kind and got our drinks and mozzarella sticks out quickly, which were totally delicious. For mains we ordered the pizza, protein bowl, fish and chips, and 12 oz steak. Everything was great, I’d say the pizza and protein bowls were the fan favorites. Per the fish ‘n chips, the fish still had the skin on under the batter - not bad, but not my preferred style. On the steak side, I asked for medium and received medium well. The mashed potatoes held some funky flavoring to them like deep garlic, an aged cheese, or truffle mixed in that I didn’t care for. A classic mash would be a huge upgrade for the dish. Still, the asparagus was fresh and I enjoyed the meal, ate all but a few bites of steak - very filling. Overall a nice outing for friends, families, or dates. Had the familiarity and delivery of a chain restaurant, but it’s in a great space and obviously has a lot of pull due to its size and location.

Google
Love love love this place! Although the prices a higher than I like it’s always great to make a trip while in town. My favorite is the haystack steak and mozzarella sticks. However the monticrisco is also amazing

Google
The root beer on tap was great, but when I asked for a refill I wasn't told that I was going to be charged another $5 so that was disappointing. The ale cheese soup was very good and I had the ahi tuna salad which was just okay. They also charged a 3% survharge using a credit card which wasn't shown or told up front.

Wonderful atmosphere and ambiance! If you’re looking for somewhere to have dinner and a cocktail and also catch the sunset vibes, this place is on the west end of town so it sits right in the sun! Thanks so much for making my birthday special! Shoutout to Rick for being an upstanding and outstanding bartender! Very attentive, warm and friendly. If you’re on the fence, wander in and you won’t be disappointed! Cheers y’all, thank you! Ron

Google
Had a nice time for a drink at North Peak. The place is large inside with lots of different areas to sit. We only had drinks so we can't comment on the food, but the beers were very good. The bartenders were both super nice to chat with.

Getting to be a Traverse City classic! Traditionally good food with a brew pub feel. However the 3% service charge because things are expensive is annoying. The service charge is just cheap of them

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We recently visited North Peak Brewing Company in Traverse City on vacation and I can't say enough great things about my experience! The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic—it's both inviting and vibrant, making it the perfect spot to unwind with friends or family. The food was nothing short of outstanding! Each dish was perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. You can tell that the chefs take pride in their craft. To top it all off, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations that truly enhanced our meal. They also have an awesome kids menu and tomato basil soup and white cheddar ale soup with pretzel topping that was outstanding to say the least! I highly recommend North Peak Brewing Company in Traverse City for anyone looking for a great dining experience paired with amazing brews. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Stopped in here on a Sunday night. Had to wait about 15 minutes, but sat at the bar and ordered a nice selection of beers for a flight! The waitress was attentive. I opted for the walleye dinner. The crust was light and flavorful. The rice was a tad crunchier than normal rice but paired well With the fish. Be aware- there are little bones in walleye fish! I am usually not a fan of beets, however enjoyed the way they were prepared. They were a little crunchy drizzled with a balsmaic sauce. The interior was beautiful! Will Be back again

Yelp
We came here with family on our annual pilgrimage to TVC. Great location that can handle parties from 2 to 22. Booths and multiple table configurations. They have two different areas that can accommodate groups. Service is really good. Appropriately attentive and prompted us to order before a huge group started ordering. Much appreciated! Food was really good. We had a smattering of items in the menu. Walleye, pretzel crusted chicken, pizza, monte cristo, salad with chicken, wings, nachos and all the beers and a local ciders were great. I love the smack into from Suttons Bay. Perfect. We have been here before but this time it was a standout. Food was all prepared to order and came really quickly despite the restaurant being pretty busy. We came in a Thursday evening in the off season and it was still busy. Definitely worthy of a repeat.

Yelp
We enjoyed our Beer and Lunch. It was our first time here. We came to try a beer and some food. For beer, i had the 9th Tap: Soothsayer and she had the Siren Amber Ale. we both enjoyed our choices. For lunch, we started with a bowl of White Cheddar Ale soup. we shared it. it was decent. Then we ordered and shared their Mushroom Pizza and added some soppressata sausage. we enjoyed this as well. Our server was pleasant and helpful and the food came out fast and hot. All good.

Yelp
One of the few places open on Sunday, we intended to only have a beverage, but ended up staying for dinner. The bar was on the smaller side, and every seat full, but the server was on top of things. Great large open interior. Started with a flight of their brew then moved to a table for dinner. I had the cheddar soup and the grilled pork chop. The soup had a good consistency, the honey mustard pretzels were a great addition. Pork chop was cooked perfectly, nice and juicy. There was a great cherry chutney. Mashed potatoes were good and the beets were par cooked and had a great balsamic sauce. Worth the stop if you are in town.

Yelp
The building is massive and open with a decidedly rustic old factory renovated charm. We were welcomed and seated quickly in a comfortable booth. Our server was great, ordering accurately and providing the appropriate amount of check ins. The Reuben sandwich was perfectly crispy/crunchy/cheesy/buttery/pastrami-y! The hand rolled fried mozzarella sticks are simply amazing, especially the unique crunchy fried spring roll wrap! The chicken satay appetizer came with toasted pita bread and a flavorful, tangy, sweet pepper salsa or something we liked a lot. The ginger sauce on the chicken was perfectly flavored. We will be back.

Yelp
Nothing is better than Up North, Michigan! Especially Traverse City, home of the Michigan cherry! This means, dining here won't disappoint, as you can order the cherry wings that we could not get enough of! Our waitress could not have been nicer and the service was perfect. Getting cherries on and with every meal is a must, even on a salad!

Yelp
On our way to the Traverse City airport, our flight was delayed, so we stopped in to have a bite to eat before leaving the state. We told our server that we were trying to catch an airplane and everything had come out quickly. She was quite happy to comply. I ordered the wings with the cherry barbecue sauce. And my wife ordered the beer cheese soup. We each ordered a beer from their stock, which was , brewed fresh on premises. Our beers came out quickly and so did the food. Our server made sure that we had everything we needed. The Cherry barbecue sauce on the wings was delicious but the beer cheese soup was a little bland. We finished our snacks in about 40 minutes and we were off to our airplane , I'd recommend going there

Yelp
Located right on the edge of downtown and sharing the same parking lot as Folgarelli's is North Peak Brewing, quite the staple up in Traverse City and obviously known very well for their beers and brews. I came here for their food and their dog-friendly patio. The patio is not only dog friendly, but also seat yourself so you don't even need to go into the building to ask for a table, you can just walk onto the patio and grab an available table and then the servers will come by and drop off menus. The food here is solid and fine, but nothing too spectacular. I was excited because I ordered this Thai Shrimp pizza because that sounded so good and seemed very unique! For the most part, it was sadly just a pizza with shrimp on it and a hint of peanut sauce. It was still really good, just underwhelming based on what I was expecting so nothing to write home about, but it was filling (and I took a slice or 2 home with me for leftovers the next day) and the price was good. All in all, a good place to go if you're not too focused on really good food, but probably pretty good drinks, the dog friendliness, ambiance of sitting on their patio, and it not being in the heart of downtown and with all that craziness, then this place might be the one for you!

Yelp
What a great treat!! We walking in near the brewing area. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a very pleasant and attentive bartender. We were referred to this place for the black bean vegetarian nachos, the Brussels with lemon crema, the eggroll wrapped mozzarella sticks and the chedder cheese ale soup. We had it all with a flight of every beer on tap. Generous portions and delicious crafts brews. Well worth a stop in for a nip, a few small plates or a full meal!!

Yelp
Food and drink is overpriced and battered heavy with potatoes. The white cheese ale soup was the best part with the small beer samplers. I'm upset as the bill should have been around $50-$60 total... won't be back but excellent server & staff.

Yelp
Service was fantastic, location can't be beat, outside area is nice...food could use work, tho. The ceasar salad was only alright. Overdressed, in my opinion, and the lettuce wasn't super fresh. The hanger steak ordered with it was perfectly cooked, though, so 5 stars for that alone. That's often difficult on a piece that thin. The fried mozzarella sticks could have used another minute or two in the fryer and more (or any) seasoning. They came out very pale and pretty tasteless. Wouldn't order those again. The brussel sprouts were the stand out of our meal. I'd easily order these again. Very flavorful and with a delicious cream sauce. The fish & chips were also only okay. Again, could have used longer in the fryer and more seasoning. Would have preferred strips of fish to chunks. The fries had an interesting texture to them which was new and enjoyable. Of the 4 beers sampled, no one was wowed by anything. Only average, in our book. I'd go back here for brussel sprouts and the steak, tho.

Yelp
What a fun place to grab drinks at in Traverse City! The entire restaurant/bar is huge and really nice - they have a relaxing outdoor seating area that is reminiscent of a beer garden, and a huge indoor dining area as well! My husband and I sat in the outdoor seating area and had a really great experience. My husband ordered the Downstream Cream Milk Stout and really enjoyed it, and I ordered a cup of the white ale cheese with pretzel croutons, which was OUTSTANDING. I was craving beer cheese and it didn't disappoint! The service was great as well - our water cups were always full and our server was quick to check on us and get us what we ordered. Overall, it was a great experience. We will be back!

Yelp
Sadly, North Peak has fell off a little over the years, but it's still so worth it. I'm still grieving the root beer pulled pork & the rack of ribs Just tried the diabolical chicken for the first time after years and years of frequenting this place while growing up... lemme jus' say... so goddamn good. I asked myself "who goes to north peak and gets the chicken?" Uhhhh, me!! I'll be getting that every single time now. Amazing skin, amazing flavor, amazing moisture, but def get the porter glaze anyway. I'm just obsessed with that bbq sauce. The fresh veggies + the pub fries make the best sides w/ this. Also, forget the mozz sticks (although, that pesto ranch is fire) and order the fried brussels instead. I'll shout out the mustard pretzel cheddar ale soup, of course, even if it doesn't always show up to the table fully warm :(

Yelp
Great atmosphere that hasn't changed since my last time here 8 years ago. Great food, beer and service. Beat way to spend the time on my wife's fall break.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
The food was okay. The black rice was chewy. The homemade root beer had no ice in it so it was warmish and too sweet.
google avatar

Madison S.

Yelp
I always enjoy stopping at North Peak when we're in town. There's a good selection of food and it's all pretty good. It's a big restraint too, which is great for when it gets busy.
google avatar

Sid M.

Yelp
Good pub food, good beer, a pleasant outdoor seating area, and the bartender was very accommodating and kind towards my two dogs. This was a great find in Traverse City!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was good and the service was friendly. The ambiance is pretty typical for a brewery. The beer is great! I particularly enjoyed the Siren amber beer.

Yelp
I had the downstream cream milk stout. Hubby had northn light. I liked mine better than he liked his. He ordered the steak, mashed potatoes and esparagus. I had cup of ale cheese suop with mustard pretzels and flatbread wild mushroom pizza. Hubby helped me with soup and pizza. Liked both of my selections as did i. We were tired and hungry after day on the lake. So glad to get right in as we are already eating later than usual. Good experience we found thru yelp.

Yelp
Awesome food and drinks. Servers are very kind and genuine. I stop by as often as possible

Yelp
Passing thru for work. What a great walleye sandwich! Really hit the spot. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Simple menu, good vibe and atmosphere, kind people, fast service, good food! Homemade ranch and delicious fries. Loved the BBQ on the wings.

Yelp
This spot was located below our Airbnb and didn't disappoint! We brought our large party here for dinner and enjoyed their great menu and customer service.

Yelp
Went with a friend that lives in the area. Great choice! I had the Cherry chicken salad and one of their beers. I do like wine but at $10 a glass, I decided I would have beer with dinner. The service was great - server recommended items on the menu - I didn't change my mind from the salad! The place is really cool. It's an old factory - just a great place for a restaurant. The restrooms were clean. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you are looking for a great beer!

M G.

Yelp
Stopped by with family during cherry fest. Ordered nachos as appetizer. Asked for beans on side due to allergy. Waitress brought out nacho with beans and said kitchen messed up do you want them. I said no remake with no beans. Brought out remade nachos but half cheese on top was raw and not melted. I took them back to waitress and asked for new nachos. Our food arrived then 15 minutes later nachos came back I asked her to take off bill and she looked at me like I was trying to get a free meal. I asked for manager and 15 mins later she said are you done and the manager took off bill. What bad service. This restaurant needs to train waitress better or get new ones since she doesn't understand how to serve people Will not go back. Left a good tip though

Yelp
Great as always, walleye was amazing and the forbidden rice was crunchy and can't place the taste but it's really good. The Rueben was a little cold but the flavor is spot on. Had to buy some beer to sample when I got home, $7.50 per can seems kind steep and the cans had stickers on them seemed tacky and cheap, but their price wasn't. Bought four cans, a pint glass and one sticker $45

Yelp
Stopped in on a Friday around 4:30 desperate for a cold beer and some good good. Spent good chunk of the day out in the hot sun so my appetite wasn't quite there so I figured I'd start with a beer and some Brussels sprouts. It took us a good while to be acknowledged by our waitress, didn't see her at any tables besides the ones that got sat after us. We both settled on the Oktoberfest which was smooth and much needed. The Brussels sprouts had a delicious lemony sauce and were nice and crispy. But do I think that small bowl of crispy brussels sprouts is worth $12? No. My husband ordered the walleye sandwich. The walleye however, who leaves the skin on and deep fry's it? The skin was slimy still and with one bite into the sandwich it came all sliding out... ew. The waitress came back to check on us once, didn't really seem too concerned either when she came back a final time and asked if we wanted the check. As someone who's waitressed for years I would've wondered why the customer didn't eat any of their sandwich and it was still sitting there and also didn't want a box but that's just me.

Yelp
Overall this place was fine - but not great. The positives included our very attentive polite server, and the variety of offerings on the menu. Perhaps if I have tried something else my experience might have been different. The first thing I noticed after being seated was that it felt stuffy in the restaurant. they are in an older building, so I suspect it's not easy to maintain a comfortable climate. That being said it wasn't a warm day so I found it unusual that we were uncomfortable. The beer selection was surprisingly minimal for a brewery. I looked over the menu for a few minutes and ultimately didn't find anything I wanted to try. My companion found five items to build a flight, but indicated that only three of them were serviceable. My impossible burger was certainly very good, but the french fries felt dry and overall without much flavor. The Cheddar Ale soup was also very good. For what we paid the experience should've been a little better. Overall I would not return.

Yelp
This is such a bummer of a post to make. I've been coming to North Peak since the beginning of time. It's always been an easy go-to for us, but last night's meal was a huge let down. First, the positives. As always, the service/staff at north peak has always been great and still is. I honestly feel crappy leaving a subpar review because the wait staff is always so enjoyable. And I'll say if you're looking for a family friendly brewery vibe, it's the perfect space. Noisy enough that it works for loud kids and or just friends. But man- the spinach salad felt like throwing away $16. It was suppose to be essentially a Greek salad, or maybe even the grain bowl they used to have without the grains- but it was a mountain of spinach, with a few smashed(?) Kalamata olives pieces, maybe 4 pieces of pickled onion, and a dusting of feta. Our server did offer to bring our extra of whatever toppings I wanted, so that was appreciated - but it just kind of was a crappy experience. Also, I would totally skip the kids mac and cheese unless your child is obsessed with boxed Mac because that haaaas to be what it was, and if not, it's a dead ringer for Kraft with an extra pad of butter and an $8 price tag. I'd definitely opt for the kids pizza, it's a lot better. It just really felt like everyone's meals quality didn't line up with the prices. And I know the prices everywhere are up so that's not an exclusive thing to NP- but dang, it just really didn't line up with quality. Super disappointing. Hopefully it was just an off night..

Yelp
Decided to stop here on a Saturday while we were visiting traverse city. We already had breakfast, so weren't that hungry to begin with. Well that changed after we watched order after order of mussels come out, so my curiosity got the best of me and we ordered some. SO good! The broth was so delicious that I ate the rest of it like soup! We also ordered their cheese rolls, which are their version of cheese sticks. In egg roll wrappers, but with a basil pesto ranch to dip them in. So so good! The beers were also top notch, including the legend, and diabolical IPA. Will be returning, if only for the mussels!!
google avatar

Riley S.

Yelp
Good place to stop in for a beer or cocktail. Nothing over the top when it comes to food selection but it's hard to compete with what traverse city has to offer.
google avatar

Haley G.

Yelp
I would not come here with kids. They are not very kind and it is not kid friendly! We simply were inquiring if the outdoor was open for us to enjoy a beer outside while our 1 year old sleeps in a stroller. We were told no! We also had to carry the stroller up the stairs because the elevator was not very clear on how to use and none of this staff saw our struggle and helped us. There was a 2 hour wait for us to simply get a beer! We probably won't return.

Lisa G.

Yelp
We loved the local red wine and mussels !! We tried their hanger steak and couldn't be happier amazing flavor and perfectly cooked medium.

Mike F.

Yelp
Certainly could have been better. We ate outside, appetizers were mostly good, mozzarella sticks and chicken satay, Calamari was overcooked and tough. Rest of entrees our party ordered were really just so so, looks like a place where you should order pizza and not the "real food". Pretzel crusted chicken was overdone, but those that ordered the Monte Cristo were pleased with their selection.

Andrew A.

Yelp
It was cool. It was cute. Nothing really great but solid food good beer, nice atmosphere.
google avatar

Rachel E.

Yelp
Service was great, food was delicious, and establishment was clean. What more can you ask for? I loved the cherry chicken salad, it was so fresh and was even better with the pretzel crusted chicken. The mussels were spicy, so beware if you do not like spicy food.
google avatar

Kassey T.

Yelp
My family and I visited here on a Saturday night and were pleasantly surprised that we did not have to wait to be seated (group of 8). We started with the hand rolled mozzarella sticks, which had a very delicious side of basil pesto ranch. Not as cheesy as your typical mozz sticks, but still yummy! For dinner, I ordered the protein bowl, and added avocado. The combinations of veggies & feta was very flavorful and filling. I have been here several times, and always enjoy myself.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Good food and good beer 20 minute wait was less than 10. Server was terrific. My burger was better than the walleye sandwich. Fries were very tasty and crispy.
google avatar

Sheena B.

Yelp
As always this place never disappoints us. The food is amazing and the staff is very attentive for table of 9. Pretzels with cheese fondue and mozzarella sticks wrapped in wonton and a very tasty dipping sauce. Pizzas are always very tasty with homemade crust and brick oven cooked. Chewy buttery crust on pizza. Mussels were very good full of flavor and bread to dip in base they were cooked with. Fish and chips always very good too. Love the design and layout of this place. They make their own root beer and other beers. Kids love the smile fries and kid's burger was huge but he said delicious. Definitely check this place out if you are ever in town. Very kid friendly and noisy so it's nice since kids are loud.

Yelp
Wings and Mozzarella sticks are the BEST I'm town. Outdoor seating available Fast and Friendly Service

Hannah B.

Yelp
Great little brewery just outside of downtown Traverse City. Had an entire gluten free menu and staff was extremely accommodating with allergies. The beer was OK but I would definitely like to try more! The ahi salad and ham & swiss melt were pretty good. The brewery also had it's own parking lot which was a win!

Yelp
SERVICE: 5 FOOD QUALITY: 3 DRINK QUALITY: 5 ORDER TIME: 4 AESTHETICS: 3 NOISE LEVEL: 4 MENU SELECTION: 4 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 4 So I have to say that I had the highest of expectations considering the jolly pumpkin is in our top 3 restaurants in Grand Rapids. The night started with a 2 hour wait which we got put onto a live wait list that we followed on our phones. A 2 hour wait! This place has to be even better than jolly pumpkin FOR SURE I was thinking. The service was superb, especially for how busy it was, and no one seemed flustered with all the people. Aesthetically the inside looked like nothing unique. It felt like I was walking into your typical chain restaurant. Once we finally were seated we immediately ordered drinks. Their list is small and unlike jolly pumpkin they only served their brand. The beer is delightful and lives up to their brand and quality. For dinner the menu was also very plain. Also felt like another cookie cutter menu that you would see at chain restaurants. I ordered the pretzel crusted chicken sandwiches. While the sandwich itself was cooked perfectly and all the ingredients were fresh I just didn't feel anything unique or wonderful about the food. If anyone reads my posts they know that my main topic tends to land on chicken sandwiches. Sadly I place this one at the bottom of my extensive list. I guess the best way to put it is that I didn't feel that true creative Michigan authenticity from any of the food. Overall I will still recommend this place because I absolutely love their beer, and their food was cooked perfectly. Just be forewarned if you think it's going to be anything like the jolly pumpkin in Grand Rapids because it's not. Sadly I would definitely go back to try other food to reassess but I don't live in the UP so my review will be skewed until I return. Their beer is so good that I have faith that there is something on that menu that is worth saying it's a definite go to spot.

Yelp
Had a fun time here! Great atmosphere for almost any occasion, and my flatbread pizza was pretty good too. Would go back.

Yelp
North Peak Brewing venue is inviting & gives you the feeling that the food will match the vibe.Unfortunately, nothing could be farther from the truth. The menu is limited ( which would be fine ) if the food on it was actually good.I had a pasta dish with chicken which was dry and cold. When they "remade" the dish they used the same pasta which was now cold & disgusting.Honestly, they just didn't care.Read that again.DID NOT CARE! If you want GOOD food & great service may I suggest 7 Monks Taproom ? They actually care a lot & the food is DELICIOUS!! Incidentally,we have tried North Peak a couple times.Every time more disappointing than the last. Never again.

Kyle V.

Yelp
Stopped in with a group of 5 guys to enjoy some food, beer, and football. They were pretty busy for a weeknight and because of COVID, we had to wait for a table. We ended up getting the whole upper level "crows nest" to ourselves, and it worked perfectly. We all ordered appetizers to share and then a couple pizzas. We enjoyed everything we ordered but it did seem like the pizzas were very small for the price. The wonton mozzarella sticks were very interesting but we enjoyed them. The wings were great and the Mediterranean plate was refreshing compared to the rest of our bar food. Overall, quality beer and friendly staff. Plenty of TVs to watch the games and a large menu.

Cathy G.

Yelp
Holy shiznitzles! Best dang burger I've ever had. I had no idea a burger could be that juicy. Hats off to you Northern Peak Brewery!

Autumn P.

Yelp
Great service, food, and atmosphere... A definite place to visit while in Traverse City! I highly recommend the pork chop... Surprisingly it looked like a steak and tasted fantastic!

Yelp
A great dining experience. The food is incredible. Try the pork chop dish and the fried Brussels sprouts! Fantastic beer. Our server was so nice and had a wonderful disposition. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick bite and beer with our family, can't say it's at the top of our list of places to go. There is nothing wrong here, just so many other good places in the area. The food was good, we had the mussels and were very pleased. The beer is very underwhelming, especially given the number of outstanding breweries in the area. I've done flights, tried a variety of their offerings, and none of the beer is bad, just nothing to being me back. Wouldn't be opposed to coming back here, especially for a meal, but not a high priority if just looking for a beer.
