Very, very sophisticated Michelin-starred northern Thai cuisine.
Overall, the food was delicate and delicious, with the occasional punch without being overly empowering.
I chose the wine pairing menu with 3 drinks and 9 dishes (do come hungry or you might end up like me, asking to pack the final spectacular main course to take away).
The restaurant definitely utilized choice ingredients (it was especially obvious with the fish tartare, the chicken consomé, the duck breast, and the river prawn), but what amazed me the most, besides the flavors, were the creative thought that went into the presentation of the dishes, and the smooth flow of service. The decoration, music level, and atmosphere were also elegant and relaxing.
No doubt this is on the expensive side for Thai food in Bangkok, but the refinement level is also rare to find elsewhere. Happy to see (northern, Lanna) Thai food being elevated and recognized!
