"North Star is the coolest diner in the city. It has glittery gold booth cushions as well as an entire wall dedicated to framed portraits of real astronauts. Most importantly, their breakfast food—particularly the terrific buttermilk pancakes—are great. "North Star is the coolest diner in the city. It’s open from 8am-9pm, and has gold glittery booth cushions as well as an entire wall dedicated to framed portraits of real astronauts. Most importantly, their food—like textbook-example buttermilk pancakes or a chimichanga stuffed with carnitas, hash browns, and scrambled eggs—is simply restorative after rolling out of bed. That's especially true if you stayed out for hours last night having “one more drink” four times. "We love when a breakfast sandwich features a six-inch oval sausage patty that’s ever so much thicker than the fried egg. And it’s what's happening here at North Star in Greenwood, along with melted american on your choice of english muffin or biscuit. (You want the biscuit.)
