Where to Eat and Drink in San Marcos

"This craft beer destination, housed in a converted bungalow, serves an unexpected menu of crowd-pleasing Indian fare like butter chicken, tikka masala, and crisp vegetable samosas. Takeout orders can be placed online; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Brandon Watson

Google
In a word, "must-go". The food was absolutely amazing and Summer who served us (and made all my selections) was superb. She was a dream to work with, been there 3+ years, and you can tell in her confidence and commend of the menu. She was very personable and delightful during our visit. Summer had wonderful recommendations ranging from the vanilla beer to the appetizers to the entrees. Overall, the food was great with every bite revealing a new taste experience. We also took a to-go bag for dinner which we just ate. It was just as good as the meal we had for lunch. Follow the menu pics where Summer points out our food selections. I fell in love with the quaintness of the restaurant, the youthful atmosphere, the sorta eclectic decorations but following a warm and inviting theme. This restaurant was featured on Good Taste with Tanji which was the sole reason we stopped. She gets an A+++ on this gem of a restuarant!

North Street is our favorite restaurant in San Marcos. We sat on the patio on a warm December evening. We ordered curry dishes; tikka masala, butter chicken, curry chicken, and saag paneer. Every dish was so flavorful. We ordered the fries for an appetizer. The fries were seasoned, or the catsup was seasoned, or both. Regardless, the fries were an excellent and unique appetizer. Our server was Summer and she was a delight. I should mention the bread was excellent and the drink list extensive. We highly recommend North Street for a wonderful night out.

Stopped by this coffee-and-curry spot and tried the veg samosa and samosa chaat. The samosas were excellent—crisp shell with a flavorful filling. The samosa chaat was just okay. On the drink side we ordered a mocha, americano, espresso, chai latte, and latte, and every coffee was spot-on. Clean space, a bit busy, but the staff were attentive and very friendly. I’m not from the neighborhood, but I’d definitely swing by again when I’m around. Ratings: Food: 3.5/5 Coffee: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Overall: 4/5

Google
Super delicious food, great variety on the menu and everything we tried was scrumptious! Great beer on tap plus they have their own in house brew! Atmosphere was cozy and cute. Wonderful service. My only complaint was the high prices but I realize the cost of ingredients might play a factor. Overall great experience here—I’d definitely recommend this place!

Google
Hello to all my gluten-free and Celiac friends, we visited this restaurant during thanks giving and it was delicious. They had lots of gluten free options and our waitress Amélie was so kind and was so knowledgeable about gluten free and cross contact. The meal comes with papadum but since it's cross contaminated I didn't get one . I just wished that I had more rice since papadum wasn't an option . Other than that totally recommend

North Street is a cozy, inviting spot in San Marcos that puts a fun Tex-Mex twist on classic Indian flavors. The menu is creative and approachable, with options like curry tacos, loaded samosas, and even curry queso alongside staples such as butter chicken, tikka masala, and paneer dishes. The Curry Trio is especially worth trying if you want to sample different flavors. But the best was Peri Peri plate, it had very flavorful chicken grilled with rice and grilled veg. The staff here are warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed—perfect for a casual meal or hanging out on the patio when the weather’s nice. Portions are generous, and the menu does a great job explaining dishes for anyone less familiar with Indian food. They have very nicely decorated clean restrooms with small details like hair scrunchy and tampons. For that I have given them an extra star.

Google
Went there for dinner yesterday as Google map showed it under Indian cuisine. Never even close to Indian cuisine and its a bar cum restaurant. The food was pathetic, as we got some frozen parathas which not prepared by the restaurant. The Paneer curry which we ordered was another disaster. To fuel them up, the attenders showed their attitude,as if they serve food for free. In short I strongly will not recommend if you are looking for Indian cuisine.

Google
Wow!! I was surprised! We came here on a busy Friday night and had such a speedy experience. Excellent service, I believe it was McKenzie/Kenzie? who showed my husband and I a fun experience. Very helpful and knowledge about the menu. Last time we came it was good but this time was great. Kitchen looked clean and loved the open conception, will be back for a cocktails after pregnancy

Yelp
First time visiting this delightful little place in San Marcos! We were welcomed ant seated right away. The atmosphere was inviting and energizing! We started with the Vegetable Samosas.. these are a must have, the best I've ever tried! The beer was cold, and the food was fresh and incredibly delicious! The taco selection is nothing like you've ever seen... they're so original!! We had the chicken 65 taco - it was very good and quite filling (only wished the ingredients were better distributed)! The butter chicken nachos were full of flavor and the chicken was tender! I added a little mango chutney ... it was a great idea... so flavorful! One other taco ( can't recall the name) was also a winner! Their waffle fries are also good! We will definitely be back; we love the menu... so many enticing selections to try! The patio is very inviting too!!

Yelp
I was not expecting this place to blow my socks off. Ordered the veg samosa with the mango chutney for appetizer and the curry trio. Finger licking goodness!. The garden + cottage setting gives a very warm welcoming ambience. Of course having gorgeous weather helps the outside experience. This will be our lunch stop on the way to SA from now on..

Yelp
Indian. Beer. Coffee. I'm intrigued! What a cute, quaint and happy place for food or coffee! There's indoor or outdoor seating in lovely spaces. The menu consists of Indian cuisine, with traditional dishes like butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, paneer, and others. They have crafted Indian style tacos which are with a soft naan for rather than tortilla. One is plenty as they're quite large. Appetizers, we chose samosas loaded! There are burgers and other choices like chicken salad sandwiches, etc. Beer selection is extensive and crafty drafts, or a smaller selection of bottles is available. Beer is perfect temperature, cool and crisp. I felt that the service was friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to visiting again! Hours are 11-10pm daily, which is great for late night and avoiding fast food.

Yelp
We watched Good Taste with Tanji Patton yesterday and North Street Curry Shop @northsmtx was featured. It wasn't the first time they were on TV. We ventured to San Marcos for lunch today. It was a gorgeous day to sit outside. Hubby had a half pint of Two Pitchers Weekender, Dad had St. Arnold Root Beer, and I had Mango and Mint Lassi. We had to try the Curry Queso and Chips and the Vegetable Samosas. The mango chutney is the bomb. We shared the Curry Trio with the Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chana and Spinach. We had a couple of bites of the Mango Spinach Salad with Lemon-Ginger Vinegarette because we were so full. Brought home the leftovers. The food was worth the drive. Bailey was our attentive server.

Yelp
Some of the best food I've had in San Marcos! Definitely the best Indian food in the area. The service is exceptional. We eat their several times a month.

Yelp
North street is pretty good. I wouldn't say it tasted authentic, but still a good flavor to the food. We love ordering the nachos, watermelon cucumber salad, and the entree trio. All really good! Service is good, staff are helpful and kind. Nicely decorated.

Yelp
My wife and I picked up our son and daughter in law in New Braunfels to go for lunch in San Marcos. I was really happy when they said we were going to North Street Curry Shop. I had thought about going there when I was in town for the Master Naturalist Annual Meeting last month, but chose a different venue that I could walk to from my hotel. This place is housed in an old house on North Street about a block from Hopkins Street and about three blocks from the Square. Traffic was flowing pretty heavy for a Saturday, but you get out of it the minute you turn onto North Street. There is a parking lot on the side that should hold at least twenty cars and is a permeable parking lot. I feel like a lot of the plants were Texas natives, which I appreciate. We opted to eat indoors, although there is a nice outdoor area. The dining room was nicely decorated and smelled of enticing spices. There is a wall full of draft beer taps in the back. Fortunately for me, they had a really good non-alcoholic IPA. I took a picture of my vegetable samosa. Unfortunately, I forgot to get more when the main course came out. I ordered the curry trio. I chose chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, and saag paneer as my trio. My son ordered the trio with chicken curry, butter chicken, and chicken tikka masala. My daughter in law had the chana masala taco. My wife, less adventurous than most people, had an order of fries. Everyone loved their food. I really enjoyed the chicken dishes, but the saag paneer was the best I have ever had. In the car on the way to pick the kids up, I told my wife that saag paneer is spinach cooked to the consistency of canned spinach from our childhood with big cubes of delicious cheese in it. It has always been one of my favorites. Here at North Street, the spinach was not cooked to death. That made it so much better than any I had ever had. My son and I ordered the paratha on the side. Neither of us is a big fan of papadam. He made a taco out of his. I tore little pieces and used them to scoop mouthfuls of food. It was heavenly. Okay... I can't end this without giving a shoutout to our server Ian. He was absolutely fantastic. His friendly and welcoming personality made our dining experience even better. You've heard me rave about special servers before. Ian goes right up into my top five. He had answers for all of our questions. He got our order 100% correct. He smiled and was friendly at all times. You could just sense that he is very happy working for North Street.

Yelp
Good day folks! Looking to escape the norm! Craving some curry! Found this little delightful spot - evening weather was gorgeous -we sat outside enjoyed some of their original crafted cocktails. Being our first time - our waitress was helpful in pointing us the right way and making sure we were being taking care of all through our stay. We found out afterwards that you can level up the heat level on your dishes - so next time we are bringing the fire on!! Let Love Lead!

Yelp
Food was good, service lacked. Our sever Mackenzie was on her phone scrolling through Instagram while the kitchen called her name to deliver our order to the table. We watched our food sit in the window while she sat at the table across from us on her phone, and we noticed the same thing happen to the couple behind us. Our biggest issue was when we saw her talking to a coworker at the bar while in her phone. As she was talking, she was sticking her hand inside the back side of her leggings. She proceeded to serve food without washing her hands after they had been inside of her pants We've come plenty of times, and the food is always amazing! We've never had any bad experiences with the quality of food the cooks put out.

Yelp
This is an interesting concept where we enjoyed the food and service. It's more or less a fusion restaurant, with emphasis on the combination of Indian and Mexican food. The waiter knew the menu and helped us with our selections. I had the Tica Tacos, which I found to be both filling and delicious. They also have liquor license and I enjoyed a beer. There is on site parking that we found adequate, although we went earlier than most would. I would defiantly return here.

Yelp
I am not shy about my mixed feelings regarding this place, so let's get right to it: Let me start by saying up front that this food isn't authentic, but it's good. If you come here looking for traditional Indian dishes, you're just disappointing yourself and there's no Oscar for your performance. Accept it for what it is. Just know that they've figured out how to make cultural fusion work between Indian and Tex-Mex and they are onto something. Spices are spices, and though they vary culturally, you can probably make one spicy cuisine resemble the structure of another spicy cuisine with a little thought and effort. Curry in QUESO!?!!! YEE-HAW, and I'm here for it. But let me get to what bothers me about this place other than the lack of diversity of the waitstaff and the overall, dare I say it???...**cultural appropriation** (I didn't see one Indian person in sight the several times I've visited, but there might be one??? I digress): The college kids here treat this place like an upscale frat house. They cling to each other in the corner chatting like they're at a bar...sitting down like THEY are the customer when they are supposed to be working the floor making sure drinks are refilled and customers are happy. They simply act like it is a PRIVILEGE for customers to be in THEIR space while they socialize with one another and provide "barely there" aloof service. It's tacky. You must check on your customers, people working here! A greet/take the order/slap the food down and GOODBYE approach isn't good in the SERVICE industry...and whoever made it acceptable here is responsible for this wayward ship. Who is running this little operation? A fraternity president? Get in there now and correct your staff, please. I can overlook the lack of diversity and the appropriation since the food is indeed good... but the behavior on display here is off putting.

Yelp
It's a cute space. I love the front door since yellow is my favorite color. Lots of tables outside surrounded by trees. Then dining room is smaller than expected with an open kitchen concept. All the servers were friendly and greeted us when we walked in. Summer was our server and she gave great advice on which food to try since it was our first visit. The curry queso was delicious, but as expected: queso dip with all the curry spices added in. It's an interesting fusion of flavors. The Piri piri plate was so good. Big portions of tender chicken. My friend had the curry trio and she said all three were flavorful and not too spicy.

Yelp
Everything was perfect !! The service was great and the food has an amazing blend of flavors. Sweet spot, I'll definitely return.

Yelp
Good food and ambiance, staff was friendly and polite. Food came out fast, well seasoned and good portions.

Yelp
Northstreet is one of the only Indian spots I've found in San Marcos, conveniently located right outside the Square. It's got bold flavors, a cozy ambiance, and makes for a solid date night pick. The vibe almost feels like a Mexican-Indian fusion, but don't be intimidated--it works, and the food is good. Their cocktail menu has a nice variety, and I went with the sangria--strong and well-balanced. The servers know their stuff, offering great recommendations and allowing substitutions (we swapped the butter chicken nachos for fries, and no regrets there). It's a little pricier than your average college-town meal, but if you've got a bit to splurge, it's worth it. Definitely try their tacos--they don't skimp on the fillings--and don't skip the mango drink!
google avatar

Paige S.

Yelp
Love the food, service, and ambiance! They're stingy with the rice for take out orders, though, so be sure to ask for extra.

Annie B.

Yelp
Terrific as always! Authentic Indian food, some with a twist. Very flavorful. Great service, welcoming. Tacos are just the right size. Good lassis. I make sure to eat here any time I'm at all near to San Marcos!

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of a college town, I initially thought this little curry shop might be your typical student-centric spot with distracted and unmotivated staff. I couldn't have been more wrong. From the moment I walked in, I was met with friendliness, attentiveness, and a level of service that truly surprised me. I arrived about thirty minutes before my friends and set up my laptop to get some work done while I waited. During that time, multiple staff members checked in to see if I needed anything, going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Our particular server was sweet and incredibly accommodating. It was clear to me that she was genuinely trying to curate a great experience for us. The atmosphere was cozy, the vibes were relaxed, and the food -- delicious. The samosas were good, though pretty standard. But the Paneer Tikka Masala Tacos? Out of this world! I've had plenty of Indian-Tex-Mex fusion back in Austin, but this place delivered one of the best renditions I've ever tasted. If I'm ever back in San Marcos, I'll go out of my way to visit this gem again. It's rare to find a spot that nails both service and food so perfectly, and this curry shop certainly did just that. The fond memories will linger for a while; I'm sure of that.

Yelp
My daughter and I LOVE Indian food and this place was such a delight! We shared the Curry Trio (plenty of food for both of us) with the Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Chana and Spinach. The waitress was kind and quick, and the restrooms were clean and stocked with feminine products, mints and even hair ties. We will definitely be back very soon!
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
This is a lovely place! The staff is friendly and helpful. Our meal was outstanding, presented with care and delicious!!! So many choices, so many sauces and breads/crackers to add!!! I wish I knew all the proper names- the menu was vast!

Destiny T.

Yelp
The samosas are really good but all the tikka options are nasty. If you want good Indian food, go to the other place in San Marcos or just make the drive to another city. The place is cute and aesthetic, but that's about it for the food. And speaking of portions, they don't give you much rice compared to other Indian restaurants. Also, they don't have naan -- they serve something else that tastes like a pancake and a tortilla mixed together. Idk about the drinks, but for food don't get your hopes up! Service is okay also NOT WORTH THE PRICE the food wasn't good enough for 64 dollars but we got a lot of 64 dollars!

Isabel A.

Yelp
The chicken curry nachos were delicious, service was amazing, restaurant was super cute. Now onto what could be better: the fusion items like the nachos and taco were really good. But... the traditional items on the menu like butter chicken, tikka, and others that you just get with rice on the trio plate did not have a lot of flavor or taste authentic. It tasted watered down or canned compared to what you'd get at other Indian restaurants
google avatar

Robert Z.

Yelp
Came here for some Indian and was intriguied by the indian tex-mex but ended up going more indian. This restaurant was in a cute little area of san marcos and had a nice patio but was too hot outside. We ordered the samosas ans they were very good. Fresh, crisp, with very nice chutneys to go along with it. I also got the curry trio cause options. The flavors were good, a bit mild but the apices that were there played together well. I got the butter chicken, tikka masala, and saag paneer. To all the people complaining about no naan, they have paratha, which i personally enjoy more than naan but to each their own. Service was also great and we had a super nice and friendly waitress, nina. She made sure our waters were full and that we were enjoying our meals. I ended up docking a star cause we got dessert and it wasn't anything special. If anything, it was quite overpriced for a cookie... cookies were smaller than my palm and cost about $5. Other than the dessert, i think everything else was great! It'd be nice if you could adjust the spice a bit more but overall, some great indian food in the middle of texas!
google avatar

Clint D.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Been twice in the last 2 weeks. The service and food is great. The chicken tikki masala and naan bread are great!!
google avatar

Amy G.

Yelp
I'm quite a noob to Indian food, but what I tried at North Street made me want to try more! The tacos are my favorite because they combine a variety of flavors and textures. It would be more accurate to call them a flatbread wrap. Their chocolate cake was an unexpected treat! The frosting was so fudgy! (It was from a local bakery, not made in house.)
google avatar

Felicia C.

Yelp
My friends rave about this place. Although I think the food is decent (at most), it's not very impressive. This place feels extremely Americanized. I think the craziest thing is that they don't have naan on the menu LOL. Paneer Tikka Masala - The flavor of the sauce was extremely mild. When I think of Indian food, I think of a bunch of different spices and complexities. However, when eating here, I think North Street is to Indian food as Panda Express is to Chinese food. At first glance, I can't say that I've ever eaten paneer as huge blocks. They were equivalent to the size of fish sticks!!! I must say this is very unique because I've never seen paneer cooked this way. Eaten with the mild sauce, this paneer almost had no flavor. They do have some interesting options like curry queso, which I think is a unique idea, but isn't executed very well. Overall, I would not bring my friends here as a must-go restaurant in San Marcos. I would come here again if my friends are craving it, but it would not be a restaurant that I suggest.
google avatar

Terry J.

Yelp
Upon arrival you could smell the spices. I just knew a mouth watering experience awaited us. We opted to try the boneless Chile wings, veg samosas. The chicken wings had way too much breading and needed more Chili . The samosas were wonderful. We opted for the Curry Trio, Chicken Marsala, Butter Chicken and Curry Chicken as well as a size of Saag Paneer. Good news, if you've ever eaten at a Bawarchi Biryani you know it's super spicy and I mean hot, spicy often ruining the experience for me. These dishes were very mild allowing you to enjoy the spices where there were some. The Chicken Marsala and Butter Chicken were perfect but the saag paneer was bland. Little to no flavor. Disappointed. Service is warm and attentive. Maybe an off day based on the other reviews.
google avatar

Anna Q.

Yelp
If you're on your way to San Marcos of San Antonio, you HAVE to stop by this place. Every time I think about the chicken tikka masala taco I just reminisce of the 45 min drive - but trust me it is WORTH IT! The food is all so flavorful, and you have to get the loaded samosas, curry taco for some yummy Mexican Indian fusion. Yes, I said it. A fusion that nobody knew they needed but it is oh so good and delicious. The paratha is layered, buttery soft, and flaky. You'll want to come back for more. Prices are decent, portions are generous. I was full off of one taco! Service was very nice and prompt, and the atmosphere was homey but also modern. Cute patio outdoors too if you can withstand the tx heat! One con is the constant flies - they kept buzzing around no matter if you were indoors or out. A must try when you're in Texas!

Aaron E.

Yelp
Good food nice setting. Not really authentic Indian food kinda on the sweeter side of things.

David K.

Yelp
Great service, unique and amazing food and beverage menu with craft beers and unique cocktails. Server was well versed on all menu items. It was our first time and couldn't resist checking it out because of the excellent and plentiful reviews posted. Cool neighborhood and will check out their sister brew house next door. Just off of I-35 between Austin and San Antonio if you need to meet someone between cities We got the curry trio and that was enough for 2 of us over lunch. Haven't done a lot of curry recently and it was not spicy and very flavorful.

Ariella H.

Yelp
Went with friends. Didn't know I was going to be choosing from a strange blend of Indian and Tex-Mex. If fusion cuisine is your thing, you may like it. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, tasty food, just not my vibe. Sparse, spare decor, small table. Sorry, just kinda mediocre overall.
google avatar

Ron H.

Yelp
We have lived in the central TX area for 12 years, and I just discovered this great spot today! We enjoyed butter chicken, chicken Tikka masala, and an order of vegetable samosas. Even at peak lunch hours on a Saturday, our food was ready very quickly. Tastes were delicious, with just enough spice for me in the Tikka masala. The samosas were huge and some of the better ones I've had. Will definitely add this restaurant to our rotation and highly recommend!
google avatar

Jeri T.

Yelp
We haven't eaten here in a while so drove from Kyle to have some hipster Indian. We started with some Chicken Curry Nachos. My mom always gets a second bowl. After eating some chips and toppings, we tip part of the chips and pour some of the curry sauce over the second set of chips. We then ordered the Curry Trio with Saag Paneer, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Tikki Masala. The food was amazing, as usual. We had more than enough to take half of the trio home. I love North Street Curry House. The service and ambiance can't be beat.
google avatar

Pamela L.

Yelp
The food was lacking in flavor. The service is really bad. The worst service in San Marcos by far and this is a college town so that's really saying something. The only reason I visited this is place is because these nice people from Summer Moon coffee shop recommended me this spot to eat after I had a stressful 16 hour shift at work. I walked in and they took my order. Then the manager of this place came to very rudely tell me that I needed to take the Summer Moon cup out of the restaurant because they sold coffee there too and she wanted me to buy their coffee instead. It's understandable to say you don't allow outside drinks or food in, but it's also very important to communicate this in a respectful manner. I took the coffee cup back to my car and came back to enjoy my dinner. I got a stink eye from the staff and they came to ask if I was done with my meal after they had just set it down. I will not be dining here or ordering take out from a place that does not respect or value their customers. They don't understand anything about customer service. I will also make sure to spread the word to my friends so they can avoid the sour experiences I have had here. I was told the "ambiance" was supposed to be nice here but I didn't get to experience that after being badly treated by the wait staff. Please DO BETTER!

Alice L.

Yelp
Charming... inside and out... Healthy food with outrageously good flavors. Service... friendly in a Texas way. We chose this place because the menu is unlike anything we have ever seen. It is Indian food with a Mexican nuance. On the surface, you would think this would not work but it does on so many levels. I wanted to stay on the healthy side so I ordered the Spinach/mango salad and added chicken tika skewers. The salad exceeded all my wildest dreams and adding the chicken knocked it out of the park. The server enthusiastically named his favorite dishes when we asked so we knew he wasn't just spouting the party line. He was truly excited to describe his favorites. After tasting the food, I could understand. Next time we will be more adverturesome and try the curry tacos.

Joe S.

Yelp
Wide range of selections of food from Indian Subcontinent! The recommended Curry Trio (select 3 from a half dozen different "house" curries) was quite good. Sides were excellent, especially the mango chutney!! Seriously good!! Server's (sorry, cannot remember her name) suggestions for a curry Trio were solid!

Riz Z.

Yelp
The food was very good! We definitely will be going back! The service was friendly and it was a very cozy atmosphere.

Julie B.

Yelp
Coming here after floating the river has become a tradition for me and my friends, and it never disappoints! My friends and I always enjoy trying different things off the menu and their seasonal lassis. The service is very attentive and quick. A great spot for lunch!

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Service was good. Loaded samosas were very tasty. Butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were both very bland served with a tiny serving of rice. Extra rice is $3 and is also very tiny.

Ivan M.

Yelp
Was delicious and service was good. Would definitely recommend. Try the 3 curry trio.
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
The entrance to the parking lot was a bit hard to see and I passed it up on the first try. (See photo). The aroma as you go inside is wonderful. Smells exotic and different, which is why I chose it! Very clean inside and well managed. Even the restrooms were very clean and fresh smelling. I sat inside but there is also outdoor seating. I was seated immediately and my order was also taken quickly. Ordered the curry trio. Butter chicken, paneer chicken and butter chicken. It was hard to say which was better as all three were very good! One odd thing I did notice, my check included a non-cash charge of 49 cents? I thought this odd as no one asked how I intended to pay. I did intend to pay cash and did so. I hope my waitress received the cash charge addition to her tip. Other than that, this place is very nice and I would recommend it to anyone.

Yelp
Loved this place. Max was an exceptional waiter. He asked us if this was our first time eating here. It was. He completely went over the menu. We went with his two recommendations, different tacos, and WOW, great food. We'll be back.

Daniece S.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try any of the food. My family & I sat down and requested water while we looked over the menu. It was strange not seeing naan on the menu by the way. Anyway, the waiter (super nice) brought a cups of water and we immediately noticed *something* floating in each cup. We notified the waiter, he took all of our cups and stated he'd "check the water pitcher". He returned with fresh cups of water ... still with *something* floating. Experience tells me it was mold from an ice maker ... the ice chute is rarely cleaned properly, if ever. After 2 misses with something as simple as water, we didn't want to risk trying the food.

Yelp
Went to North Street for my wife's birthday. The ambiance is ok, the service was great. We had several questions on menu and everything was explained and had recommendations to assist with choices. The mint tea was really tasty, glad they recommended. The food on the other hand was average. I thought it strange they had no naan bread. I ordered the trio curry. The butter chicken was by far the best of the three but it just was average all together. I have made better curry from the simmer sauces at heb. Overall the experience was ok, I just don't think we'll hit it up again.

Yelp
Great service! Clean and nicely decorated interior. Amazing food! We had dinner on a Thursday evening. We ordered the curry trio meal with rice and their version of naan bread. This was our first experience eating Indian food. We really enjoyed the flavors. Our server was super helpful and explained all of the dishes on the menu. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Had the best lunch today, this makes a great choice of Indian food in San Marcos. Ordered the curry trio, I had the curry chicken, saag paneer and butter chicken served with coconut rice and crispy papadum, delicious. The place is neat and service was excellent!

Yelp
Will absolutely eat here again! Grand cocktails, can easily substitute out fries for healthier choices, and oh my the flavors. A bit of fusion, but not without cause. Fun waitstaff who were happy to be there!! As well as discuss the daily Wordle. Loved the decor, exotic without the camp or clutter.

Yelp
Food is delicious and authentic! There is an option for indoor and outdoor seating as well as tables to sit if you bring your dog
