The Not-Your-Average Philly Cheesesteak Guide

"Since eating a General Tso’s Chicken Cheesesteak from this Northeast Philly shop, it’s all we can think about (along with the Phillies). While we love the Pork Roll Cheesesteak from their breakfast menu, it's the General Tso’s that we remember as fondly as our kindergarten teacher. The juicy grilled chicken is glazed with a syrupy, sweet General Tso’s Sauce, sesame seeds, scallions, and topped with a pungent wasabi bleu cheese. It’s sweet, salty, and oniony all at once, and you’ll have half of it on your face as you try to scarf it down. Precisely what your kindergarten teacher told you not to do. " - candis mclean

The 20 Best Spots In Northeast Philly

"This shop is an easygoing place where you can place an order, dine at a picnic bench on a nice day, and admire the distant Center City skyline in between bites. At this small corner shop, you can go for classic sandwiches like cheesesteaks, smoked turkey clubs, or a BEC, or you can go wild and try the General Tso’s chicken cheesesteak. The chicken is tender, tossed in the orange-sesame sauce, and is dripping in a peppery wasabi blue cheese wiz." - candis mclean

Northeast Sandwich Co. - Review - Northeast Philly - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"At Northeast Sandwich Company, you can order things like cheesesteaks, smoked turkey clubs, or even a steak and eggs breakfast sandwich. There are some interesting combos, and the best one might be their General Tso’s chicken cheesesteak. The chicken is tender, tossed in the orange-sesame sauce, and it’s dripping with a peppery wasabi blue cheese wiz that we’d be down to make the official cheese on every cheesesteak. They also have sides like pickled and brined wings that come in flavors like Thai chili, cajun, and a dry-rub Nashville option that's sweeter than it is hot. Northeast Sandwich Company is an easygoing place where you can get a few of the city’s signature sandwiches, along with some that have been creatively remixed, hang outside on their picnic benches, and see the Center City skyline in between bites." - Candis R. Excellent food, great family owned spot. I appreciated the following about my burger: -The lettuce was super crisp and fresh, and was decently sized. Same with the tomato. The onion was fresh, sweet, and cut paper thin! The requisite pickle spear was a nice touch as well. I can't remember the last time I got veggies this fresh on a burger! -The beef patty had a great sear and crust, but was still juicy on the inside. The temperature was piping hot, which is my preference. The bacon was crispy and smokey. -The fries were perfectly seasoned and were also piping hot when they were served. The service is great and tho the interior is small, it's nice and cozy, and clean. I feel really lucky to live so close to a place like NESCO! Thank you for the awesome food. Highly recommend dining in or eating as soon as possible.

Google
Absolutely amazing! So good my husband and I came twice in a row ( him for the same sandwich and I had two different items both times). Day one we didn’t take pictures but I had the double burger with the brisket Fries( to share) and he had the brisket sandwich. Burger was so delicious and fresh! My husband had the brisket sandwich and loved every single bite of it. The next day I had Bang bang shrimp wrap with short rib fries to share. The wrap was crispy with sweet and mild spice and the shrimp weren’t over cooked and tasted great. 10/10 would definitely recommend! Definitely a hidden gem in this neighborhood!

I would’ve rather had my duck sliced instead of shredded and I would’ve rather had my roll Toasted instead of just cut in half but it’s a good concept and I made it myself the way I wanted it . The picture is the one I made and it was really delicious and you could taste the Duck because I sliced it instead of shredded it lol

This took 46 minutes to make it looks like somebody threw a can of dog food over mac and cheese that was made in the microwave. Don't waste your time here the food is terrible and tastes like plastic. The employees in the kitchen are nice the lady that works the counter sounds like a man and looks like she legally identifies as a cigarette butt..

Hello! I I literally moved around the corner about a month ago and I accidentally discovered this place on the first day was totally shocked by their sausage, egg and cheese on a long roll. By the way the sausage is homemade been trying a lot of their foods they’re spicy chicken sandwich, their chicken cheesesteak, the brisket fries there’s so many different things they even have short rib fries. This place is like no other places! This place stands alone from the rest. This is one of the best places in all NE Philly if you are interested in delicious and original food you need to come here immediately!

Google
Very tasty! I ordered the egg and cheese bagel with fries. I was so surprised by the amount of egg and the careful preparation; it was so good. I’m glad I ordered the fries because they were fresh and crispy. Besides the food being great, they also have reasonable pricing. Definitely the go to spot for breakfast sandwiches 😁

Google
Picked up Nashville chicken sandwich. Was craving a great sandwich after long day of back to school shopping. Picked up food, it was ready on time. Got home 5 min later and was horrified by what I got. Way to many restaurants in area to be serving something like this... See pictures. No ranch, no pickle. Just wilted lettuce and clumps of spicy seasoning on parts of the chicken.

Google
The food at Northeast Sandwich Co. was fresh and tasty. My family ordered a variety of items and everyone was pleased. The service was friendly and professional. The weight time and prices were average. The inside of the shop was clean. However, the outside of the shop needs to be cleaned up and maintained. There was so much trash. Parking is available.

Yelp
My favorite sandwich of all time is the Souf Silly cutlet. Very fresh, flavorful, great roll. A unique, delicious sandwich.

Yelp
Ordered Jack Danials chicken sandwich and duck fries, oh my!! This spot is a gem, highly recommend. Great service and the food is amazing. Menu is full of different delicious sandwiches on the daily. Don't miss this one.

Yelp
Recently stopped in to see what the buzz about this place was all about. I easily found street parking on the block across the street. The inside is small, but allows you to eat in along the windows. There is a ceiling fan in the center that desperately needs to either be replaced or dusted for the first time ever. The staff was friendly and very busy. On my first visit I was told the Nashville Hot Chicken was the ticket. After a several minute wait I took it to my car to eat. Big mistake, my sandwich was sloppy as heck. The juices were dripping everywhere. ...... Nashville Hot Chicken - Chicken cutlet coated in spices, lettuce, Zayda's pickles, ranch on a potato bun $9.84 - Presentation wise the sandwich looked great, but I found it to be way too sweet. Came off like they loaded it up with too much brown sugar. The spicy kick was there, but disguised by the sugar, the bottom of the potato roll was partially sacrificed because of the ridiculous amount of juice it soaked up. The chicken was fresh and tender, but altogether a tough sandwich to manage. The Smoked Brisket - House-smoked brisket, BBQ sauce, slaw, potato bun $10.94 was recommended on my second trip. I found the thinly sliced brisket to be tender and juicy, but no smoke was detected. BBQ sauce was mild and complimentary to the meat. The slaw was slightly sweet. Again this sandwich was very drippy. I'll have to stop in for breakfast sometime. Their morning menu sounds fantastic and seems to have better reviews. Both sandwiches were ok to good, but sorry I'm not believing the huge hype. Small note, if your going to serve sandwiches this juicy, a better quality napkin or offering hand wipes would be a nice gesture.

Yelp
What a great sandwich shop located in the NE. I ordered the Souf Silly Cutlet! The breaded chicken cutlet stayed crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside (even with the spread and deliver). The tomato aioli was such a great gentle acidic addition to cut through the denseness of the chicken cutlet. We ordered take out, they were quick. Our order did get mixed up and they were really understanding and even offered to refund us. I tell all my NE friends NESCo is definitely a place to turn!

Yelp
So far I have been to NESCO three times. I have ordered over the phone and went to pick up the food for lunch. I'm giving three stars mainly because of consistency. For example, twice I have have gotten the brisket fries. First time I loved it. The fries were crispy, the brisket had great flavor and there were plenty of big chunks of it, the whole thing was very cheesy. Second time I got this dish, the person who made it cut up the brisket into much smaller cubes, think of (or google) a corned beef hash situation. I did not like it this way. It took all the thrill of the brisket away. Instead of tearing into nice thick pieces I was either scooping them up to eat them or stabbing at them one at a time. I also had the crab tacos which was a special. Even though there was some real crab in this dish, it was really more vegetable forward. I mean between the arugula, avocado, tomatoes, peppers and onions, the crab was completely lost. And it was so wet that I could not eat this like a regular taco. I ate it with a fork and with that I felt hey would have been better off calling it a ceviche honestly. I would not get that again. My co worker however ordered the Sloppy Bro and each time he gave me a piece of it and I liked it. Loved the addition of the crispy onion straws. Jalapeño was a little over powering but both times it was delicious.

Yelp
Deep in the wilds of Northeast Philadelphia, Bleigh Avenue to be precise, lies a single corner row house that has been converted from residential to commercial use. Out front hangs a wooden sign that says, "Northeast Sandwich Co." Easy to miss, but worth the find. Within lies a small takeout kitchen specializing in breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Order at the counter, watch the solitary worker prepare and package your meal, and then cashier you out. There are a half dozen stools along two window shelves for those who prefer to eat while the food is at its apex taste, but for the vast majority of costumers, walking away bag in hand is the better choice. The vibe in the shop just isn't that warm and fuzzy. Still, I opened my package at my desk and was very pleased to see a plump homemade sausage, egg and cheese sandwich, almost falling out of its kaiser roll. The sausage patty was easily twice the thickness of a standard commercial variety, and was nicely spiced and textured. Same with the scrambled egg folded in fourths and surrounded by melted cheese. This was an epic zoftig morning oversized creation. First bite surprised me with all that savory flavor from the sausage, while the double eggs softened the experience and melded well with the cheese. Taken together it was a superlative tactile and tasty moment. I slowed my chew to enjoy each element and the overall gestalt. This was no ordinary sandwich, and it deserved all my attention. The sandwich alone garnered five stars, although to be frank, the absence of coffee for purchase was disappointing. Too, I didn't see a smile from the proprietress until I stuffed a bill in the tip jar. Just sayin...

Yelp
I ordered pickup on Uber eats and the sandwiches were done fast! I enjoyed my sandwich, I just wish the hash brown was spicer. My mom enjoyed her Pork-roll cheesesteak. The price isn't bad especially considering the sandwiches are a nice size. Would definitely want to try again to get the lunch/dinner sandwiches!

Yelp
I live in the area and have been meaning to check out this place ever since it opened, but haven't really had the chance to until recently. I decided to try the pulled pork mac and cheese, and also ordered a side of fries to go with it. To start of, the description online (on Uber Eats) didn't appear to mention green onion being sprinkled on top of the mac and cheese (otherwise, I would have requested it to be removed). Secondly, it mentioned sprinkling panko bread crumbs (which I did not see on top of the mac and cheese at all). Thirdly, there was not much pulled pork on top (just a little bit). And finally, I always associate pulled pork with barbecue sauce and was hoping that it would be drizzled on top of the pulled pork and mac and cheese (but it was not). Thankfully I have barbecue sauce in my fridge that I drizzled on instead. The mac and cheese was good, but the pulled pork (and mac and cheese) was luke warm. I don't live that far from the restaurant, so I'm not sure why it was not that warm, but I still ate it regardless. The fries were a pretty big portion and were nicely flavored/spiced. I ended up only eating about half the fries and saving the rest, but they were really good!

Yelp
Garbage deal! Garbage staff. Picture included, they try and sell you something for an outrageous price, but give you trash. Thin pounded to death chicken a a couple of peppers....and when you call them on their bluff, they only offer you credit. Insane!

Yelp
I have recently found out about NESCO about 4 months ago and slowly I have been making it through their amazing menu. I highly recommend the brisket cheesesteak and the Nashville chicken sandwich! Service is always nice and a really great spot up in Northeast.

Yelp
I was in search of a burger place in NE Philadelphia, so I googled it & in the top 5 was the NE sandwich co. So I ordered their signature burger. It's a corner store located in a residential neighborhood. I actually thought it was closed because of the tinted windows. I was utterly shocked as to how delicious the burger was. It was fresh ground beef perfectly cooked! Every time I bit into it, I stared at it in amazement I'll be back!

Yelp
Just okay. I placed my order on Yelp for delivery. Food arrived before the estimated time frame, but the quality of food and ingredients was poor. My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork mac n cheese. What the... I know it doesn't specify on the menu but he was under the impression it was going to be BBQ pulled pork. It was just plain pulled pork on top of macaroni shells that looked like Velveeta. He said it was dry. The falafel burger... unsatisfactory. Didn't taste like falafel whatsoever. I've had falafel many times so I know what it's supposed to look like. This "falafel" burger looked like it was made from sweet potato or some other vegetable. It was bland and came with the world's smallest bag of chips. I selected to have BBQ chips but somehow got regular potato chips instead. Sorry, this place doesn't live up to the hype. I could've made these meals myself at home.

Yelp
Decided I wanted a BLT today and came across this place! They had a turkey club and that was close enough for me! The woman at the register was very friendly. The turkey they used was very smokey, which I liked. The lettuce was crisp, tomato was juicy, I don't know if the bacon was made today, but it wasn't bad, just seemed like it sat out for a few hours. The bread I feel could've been toasted more since the mayo made the bottom piece soggy, which made the sandwich a little hard to eat. My order didn't take long at all, so overall I think it was a good sandwich, I'd order it again!
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
Consistently great! Good unique food. Very enjoyable. Good value. I would highly recommend them

Joe G.

Yelp
I went in there with my friend. We both got turkey club sandwiches, and both of us got violently sick. Call the owner, and it seem like they could care less.

Yelp
I like that their menu is different than typical deli. Can't wait to try brisket, nashville hot chicken, pork belly reuben and cheesesteak soup. Only tried breakfast; will post more after I try lunch. I ordered at 10:15 on a Sunday and it was a 30 min wait for a pork roll egg and cheese, bagel and cream cheese and breakfast bowl w bacon. I'm used to 15 min, even 20 but 30 sounded steep for breakfast foods. They did have my ready all packed up and ready to go when I arrived in 25 min. I had ordered a cinnamon roll but lady on phone must have missed it. They were out of chorizo for the day so wasn't able to try chorizo jawn on a tortilla, which sounded yummy. Bagel and cream cheese ($2.50) had a lot of cream cheese and bagel was good (only have plain) but they didn't smear the cream cheese on both sides and they didn't put a knife in the bag. I like to eat my bagel in 2 parts not as a sandwich. I know Dunkin' Donuts does this, but it's not fast food I'm eating in my car. Pork roll egg and cheese ($5) was good and big with 3 eggs and 3 pieces of pork roll. Breakfast bowl ($6) was a bowl (I wasn't sure if it would be in a bowl since it said sandwiches served on roll or tortilla). Though it wasn't smoked breakfast potatoes - it's tater tots (good just weird to call tots breakfast potatoes). It was very cheesy. Prob too cheesy for me but others may like. I added bacon ($1.50) and caramelized onion ($.50). It said any any protein for $1.50 - I wasn't sure if I could add pork belly or brisket from lunch menu but they said only breakfast options (bacon, hot link, pork roll, steak), which makes sense. **Breakfast is served until 11am** They open at 9am on weekends so 2 hours to order. Says they have la colombe coffee. They had butter cake, cinnamon rolls and another dessert option from FerryGoodTreats. They have some counter seating as well. Super excited about this addition to the neighborhood and can't wait to try lunch items!
google avatar

Yelp
Overall I was super excited to try this place. I had seen it in my feed for awhile. The menu looked really good, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the pork sandwich with spinach and cheese sauce. There was NOT enough pork, and too much spinach. The roll was excellent. The fries are handmade, but the prices were too high. The sandwich fries and drink came to 18$ Although it was good, it was too pricy for me
google avatar

Wendy C.

Yelp
Instead of getting fast food from a chain store, I wanted to see what else was available around the neighborhood. I really wanted a good burger with some crispy fries and this place had great reviews. I ordered a burger and fries (additional cost). The burger was okay, it wasn't what I had in mind but it did come with a small bag of chips. The fries were soggy but this might have been due to takeout. As for parking, it's street parking and not super hard to find a spot. Perhaps try other items in the menu like their famous spicy chicken, I wouldn't recommend the burger.

Yelp
I live around the corner from this place, so I order here quite often. Usually the food is great, but this weekend it was far from it. I ordered the honey sriracha shrimp tacos for my wife, and the special Duck cheesesteak for myself. They told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. Now the weekend before I had ordered the duck cheesesteak and it was amazing! The duck was fresh and juicy, and the cheese was perfectly melted and topped with fried duck skin and chives. Perfection. This is why i ordered it again, but my expectations were set too high, for this weekend the back up squad must have been working. My wife's tacos looked good, but they only had 3 shrimp per taco and the shells were quite large so it left them looking empty. She said they were good, but noted no special flavor and wouldn't order them again. The travesty of this experience wasn't that the food wasn't ready for another ten minutes after I arrived, nor was it the sub par tacos. It was the audacity to serve something they called a duck cheesesteak. I was so excited to open my platter when I got home, only to be immediately disappointed with what looked like leftovers. The sandwich had a minimal amount of meat, and it was dry and old. I could tell it was leftover duck meat that was just reheated. It was also topped with some yellowish melted cheese that had formed a skin on it. Nothing like the amazing sandwich I received the week prior. Luckily I live close and I went back over to return it. The cashier immediately agreed that the sandwich should not have been served that way and offered to have it remade. I never like to return food, or have something remade, but this was unacceptable. I told her that I don't want it remade with the same leftover meat, and I would just like to have my money back. The duck cheesesteak cost 11.95 plus tax. The cashier told me that she can not give refunds, which confused me, because they use cash and she could have easily given it out to me. She said they don't give refunds and offered me a gift card. I didn't want to make a big deal and I told her I would accept the gift card. She proceeds to write out a gift card for $12. I was just annoyed at this point. There was no effort to give me the full amount of what I paid, or any incentive to appease me for my inconvenience. I don't want a free meal, but why not give me the amount of what I paid? Now I have a 12 dollar card to use, and I have to hope that its on a day the starting line up is working? Severely disappointed in the service here lately. Just needed to vent.

Yelp
Holy Mallard! DUCK! Quack, Quack, not a gimmick, not a fancy name, DUCK. I saw duck on the menu and I got it. Holy Mallard, I wish I lived closer to the Northeast Sandwich Company. What a menu! Pork roll cheese steak! Steak and eggs on Long roll. As far as the Duck Cheesesteak, I guess I liked it. What is duck supposed to taste like? I wish it had more smoked gouda cheese sauce. The smoked gouda cheese sauce was amazing and I thought the duck was a little dry. Very good overall experience. Who knew there was such great creative cooking going on in Northeast Philly.

Yelp
First off, I want to preface this review by saying it's not a knock against the food, the service or my experience..that being said I placed my order via 3rd party and there was not a long wait time between then and my food being ready. My only issue, and this is only my opinion, I don't think you get enough for your money. I spent $11 and only got a sandwich, no fries, no drink. And it's not like the chicken itself was huge either. The lettuce stuck out more than the actual chicken. I could go to some other place get a spicy chicken sandwich fries and a soda for the same price or even less. That's my only issue but I do like to support local so I would definitely return and try some other things from the menu.

Akia M.

Yelp
I ordered the po boy sandwich and fries.. Sandwich was great but the fries were trash.. I called the establishment to see if they would at least rectify the situation. That was not the case. I would at least gone to get a fresh batch of fries had that option been given to me... Instead all the boy that answered the phone said to me was that the fries are cut fries daily. Meanwhile I'n telling him that the fries were hard and tasted like trash.... So here I am leaving a review about their poor customer service and their hard as a ROCK freshly cut, over-cooked fries

Yelp
We were a party of three. Sister in law had the Bacon (6 slices wow), Egg & Cheese on a kaiser. Delicious I was told. We shared the French Fries which were well done, crispy & homemade. They looked burnt but weren't. They were good. I had the butternut squash soup with a crostini which was creamy and spicy. I also had the Nesco Patty Melt which was fabulous. Wife had the smoked turkey club with cheese fries. She loved it so much that she offered a bite. It was great. I asked staff and turkey is smoked in house. Great customer service too. Enjoy!

Yelp
I would like to give 5 stars from the first time I've visited and fell in love with their soup and Eggplant sandwich. It was much needed during a hectic work week. Went back again to end the long week with that perfect meal. But this time I came back with giving them 2 stars . Soup did not taste the same, had a funky aftertaste. We also odered the Pesto Chicken sandwich and Souf Silly cutlet. So disappointed to say that chicken was overly fried and very chewy. Bread was brunt, overall ate rubber. Thou the Souf Silly had better flavor than Pesto. I believe in 3rd chance but next time I might just stick to my first love = Eggplant sandwich. Until my bravery takes place, keep up the good job NESCO

Yelp
This is truly a hidden gem. The eclectic variety of sandwiches makes this place a must try. My favorites are the duck cheesesteak and the pork belly Ruben! Great food and the prices are right.
google avatar

Yelp
Make sure you order several hours before you're hungry. Needless to say, I ate somewhere else.

Yelp
Souf philly cutlet: breaded chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe, roasted pepper mayo, sharp provolone. The chicken was delicious and prepared very well, wasn't oily. Right amount of breading, not too much. Everything was really fresh. Chicken salad: home made chicken salad lettuce, tomato, bacon on rye toast. The chicken salad was light on mayo which made it taste more fresh and light. Really good! Cheesesteak: thin sliced rib eye, and American cheese sauce. Loved that the meat was chopped finally. Having a cheese sauce opposed to melted cheese is tough because if you don't have enough you can't taste it but if you have too much makes the bread soggy. The roll was fresh though. Mac N Cheese: macaroni tossed in homemade cheese sauce, topped with toasted potato chip panko bread crumbs. This Mac and cheese was super cheesy and tasty! The panko and chip topping gave it a yummy salty and crunchy taste.

Yelp
the service was good, very clean nice restaurant, but the nashville hot chicken was absolutely disgusting. It was sickeningly sweet. It was like they coated the chicken in sugar, fried it, than added honey on both sides of the bun. It was horrifically sweet and that was the only flavor. The chicken had no identity, the meat itself tasted like sugar.
google avatar

William M.

Yelp
Disappointing. Sandwiches looked great in pictures but weren't very good. The brisket was so dry I couldn't eat it, and served on a cheap bun. The Reuben was very tough and not a lot of meat. Both were also overpriced...$24 for two sandwiches and a can of soda.

Brian M.

Yelp
Great food, sandwiches are very creative. Orders have been up very quick every time I've ordered
google avatar

Colleen M.

Yelp
Their Nashville hot sandwich was just straight grease, bun soaked in grease, sandwich dripping, container pooling with grease. I know Nashville hot chicken is usually greasy but this was disgusting - no flavor, just grease and a burning mouth. Barely made it through half the sandwich before putting it straight in the trash. The Mac and cheese with pulled pork was so bland, it didn't taste cheesy or like bbq/pork. The only good thing we got for lunch was the cheese sauce that came with the fries.

Tina D.

Yelp
Ordered a "cheesesteak" that was barely seasoned & had very little cheese. Overpriced sandwiches that are smaller than the usual. I should have just bought a cheesesteak from the papi store & at least enjoy my sandwich. It's a no for me.

Yelp
I love this little place. We've lived in Burholme for 25 years and I'm so happy we finally have a dependable take out place with great food. This corner store has always been a staple in our neighborhood so I'm really happy NESCO found it at the right time. Friendly people, great food and fast delivery.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the entire city of Philadelphia. I've tried almost everything on the menu & have not yet been disappointed. Whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner they have an amazing meal for you. The brisket fries may be my favorite "loaded fries" option in the city. I literally get it every time I order from there, without fail. The Pork Belly Reuben is my favorite sandwich from NESCO. Nesco makes one of most flavorful pork bellies I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Pairing it with their homemade thousand island, pickled red cabbage, cucumber & cheese is an absolute treat. Those ingredients all work perfectly together to create a delicious bite: EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The patty melt is nothing short of awesome. Similar to the Pork Belly Reuben because of the ingredients but now throw a burger in the mix. Can't beat it. Their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich is killer as well. It is as spicy as it sounds but in the best way. I ask for them to add the cheese sauce. It helps with the heat & works perfectly with it. Their brisket sandwich is pretty dang good too. They have a breakfast bowl that is so creamy & decadent it will knock your socks off. I usually add pork belly to it & it takes it up another notch. Their specials are usually a hit as well, they have some consistent ones that reappear from time to time because of their popularity & others that are fleeting. If you see a special you like I'd say to order it, you may or may not see it again & it isn't worth taking that chance on missing out. The only gripe I have with this place is that it closes way too early for my liking. If they were open later I'd probably order from here every single day. If you enjoy sandwiches, breakfast food, creativity or just great tasting food I highly recommend Nesco!

Yelp
When it comes to sandwiches in the northeast this is definitely the go to spot have had multiple items from menu all unique and delicious in their own way! I def recommend the brisket fries and the cheesesteak! Breakfast in the am is good just the hash brown can be a little greasy. Ordered wings a couple times wasn't really my thing they didn't keep them down long enough even after I had asked for them well done. But other then that this is def a must try!

Yelp
Today i stopped by for the first time! My coworker recommended this restaurant & once i realized it was around the corner from my house i had to stop by. The establishment is super cute & clean. Front desk girl was very friendly & efficient. My food was ready in like 5 minutes... & it was to die for!!! I can't wait to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
If you find yourself in the Northeast...Scratch that. MAKE SURE you find yourself in Northeast Philly to check out this very inviting Sandwich shop. Very tough to make a decision but I went with the pork schnitzel Sandwich. Perfectly breaded and fried pork cutlet with spaetzle , cabbage and mushroom gravy. I swear it tasted like Germany on a roll. Perfectly portioned and executed. My friend ordered the Nashville hot chicken, which was gone before I could ask him how it was. We also ordered wings, which were outrageous. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to plowing through their menu over the next few months. Definitely put NESCo on your must try list.

Yelp
Stopped in today for a quick lunch but it was bit of a let down. Got there around 1:00, it was packed! This is a newer restaurant and I usually steer clear and let them work out the kinks before I venture in. I went with the Nashville hot chicken. At $8.95 it's a pretty good deal. That price includes chips and a pickle. The sand which itself was huge! It was a bit too big for the martins potato bun. The chicken was piled high and it was 2 tenders. With the chicken being so big it left the sandwich very sloppy. The spice was spot on and had some sweetness to balance it out. The breading on the chicken was very gritty. It was very unpleasant. A friend had the roast pork and it looked amazing. The fries were very good as well. I love the fact they carry artic splash. They offer window seating which is very nice. The counter girl was also very friendly. I will give it another shot after they iron out the kinks. Solid 3 stars.

Yelp
Heard about this place and wanted to check it out because of the owners background of good food in the area. Only had a chance to go once but so far so good. I got one of their daily special sandwiches...French Onion Brisket sandwich. Great flavor, meat was seasoned and tasty and nice choice of bread to go with it. If you see it on the menu I would recommend it and will for sure be going back to try their other sandwiches. Only issue is that the shop is very small and pretty much for takeout...tough to bring people and all sit there to eat.

Yelp
Best little gem in the neighborhood. They not only make a great sandwich but they have gluten free buns that are delicious for those with celiac or gluten intolerance. Thanks NESCO you're the best and your friendly and service excellent. Oh and the food is very good always fresh . my favorite

Yelp
I usually do not eat at a brand new restaurant on opening day but for some kooky reason we needed lunch and it being close to my store we figured we'll call for take out. Wrong the phone just rang. So I had my guy run to grab it and almost a hour later we ate. I understand they got slammed. But at least have someone answering the phones for orders. The chef-partner from Blue Duck was ousted and opened this up. I liked the new menu, it all sounded it good. After a short ride back food was still warm. Good sign. For a first time visit I gotta go with a burger and rings. You can't make that good you're dead to me. Fucking dead. Good news, they're not dead to me. A lovely typical potato bun, is always a great choice. Meat was good, a bit more seasoning would have amplified it but all the fresh toppings brought it together in a harmonious meaty bliss. I was a bit bitter to see they forgot the chips & pickles that were to come with the sandwiches. It really chaps my ass a bit. The onion rings help sooth that. Nice batter and a stupendous house made sauce which is bottle worthy. I will be back to try many of the other delicious sounding menu items real soon. Just never again opening day UPDATE 2/28/18 We wanted to try a few more items and split both sandwiches. The chicken was not hot and had a okay flavor but the meat was very thin and sparse. Cheesesteak looked and smelled amazing but the meat was a bit tough. Flavor wise it was all melding well but the meat was not on par. Also tried the onion rings again and they had a breadcrumb better and was a huge let down to a few days ago when they had beer batter. Not sure why the switch but if it stays this way I will forgo them. Not impressed. They did remember the pickles & chips this go round. Thanks for that.

Yelp
I am so happy I found this place!! I got the pork roll tacos and my boyfriend got the pork roll cheesesteak and both were delicious! Plus they have a good selection of sodas in the fridge (grape, cherry-vanilla coke, etc). The staff are good people. Solid prices for LOADED sandwiches

Yelp
I may order from here a little too often, but my goodness their breakfast is delicious! The food always arrives quickly, and everything is tasty. They tend to be a little pricey for breakfast, but they are totally worth it. I have had some sandwiches for lunch which weren't as great, but by no means bad. Ultimately, everyone has preferences. If you are in the neighborhood, give them a try. Ask for the usual.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed in tonight's order. The onion rings were floppy and weren't cooked long enough. The sandwiches were pathetic. Not enough meat at all! One bread was toasted and one wasn't on all three sandwiches. The turkey tasted funny and was dry. No mayo on the club at all. It was like they half assed it. Not sure if I'd give them another try. I'll have to think about it. The first time was good. Not sure if tonight was a different cook.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp last year and decided to drive by and check it out one day. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the place to eat......there were 2 firetrucks outside and all the firefighters were inside eating lunch. I wasn't disappointed then and I haven't been since. Got the duck fries and a patty melt this weekend and wife got the smoked turkey club, everything was awesome as usual. This place is great and very creative, always something new, different and delicious. Keep up the great work, be back again soon.

Yelp
I'm bias because I'm greedy but this place is amazing. The cheesesteak gets me every time but then I end it with the brisket fries. Food coma!!

Yelp
Went there for breakfast and got 2 breakfast bowls, one with pork roll the other with bacon. The tater tot base was both crunchy and mushy, in a good way, because of the delicious cheese sauce that brought everything together. I've ordered takeout from there before (mostly when I've had a craving for duck fries) but today we sat outside on the picnic benches out front. Follow these on Facebook to see their weekly specials, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Very small and only seating is by the window countertops with barstools. That being said, food was delicious. We each got something different. Hubby enjoyed the brisket, I loved the turkey club, kids liked the hamburger and the mac & cheese.
