Northern Dumpling King

Lamb dumplings are very tasty and juicy but kind of lightly stuffed. Spicy oil wontons are great, very thin skin, not too oily, and a nice pickled vegetable ontop to balance the fattiness. Also has pork and dill bun (very good, tons of dill) and for $1 a large Dixie cup of garlic eggplant (VERY worth it.) The dumpling sauce here isn’t too oily at all and has a nice vinegary ness to it. A stand out for the area, nice light dumplings that feel too oily. Very well balanced!

Northern Dumpling King really hit the spot. I got the spicy wontons and the braised beef noodle soup. Both were excellent. The wontons were silky, packed with flavor, and the chili oil had just the right kick without overpowering the dish. Perfect combo of heat and savoriness. The braised beef noodle soup was super comforting. The broth was rich and full of depth, and the beef was tender with a nice amount of fat. The noodles had a great texture too, not too soft, not too chewy. You can tell they know what they’re doing with their soup game. Honestly, it’s a great little spot if you’re craving something warm and satisfying. Solid portions, fair prices, and consistently good food. I’ll definitely be back.

Easy access & fast service! The braised beef noodles for $12 was good. Enjoyed the $2 warm soy milk. Small mom & pop shop serving authentic northern style dumplings & noodles. Feels homey & welcoming. Seating is limited to 15 people. 3 tables and 5 seats at the booth. 5/1/25 Upgrade to 5 stars ⭐️ since I came here twice last week. The steamed buns are fresh & flavorful 🥇🥇 Update: Downgraded to 4 stars because the buns were sold out the last 5 times I visited after 5 pm.

Excellent spot to grab fresh, high-quality dumplings. The spicy wontons were cooked perfectly, with a bit of firmness still in the wrapper. They were covered in a generous helping of chili oil and fresh scallions. On a humid summer day, I also appreciated the AC and tidy tables to eat at.

Delicious dumplings! Tried fillings we haven’t had before like the pickled vegetable and pork one as well as the one with dill. They were really good. Buns were a good size and perfect for snacking and noodles were great too. Service was super friendly and fast! Order at the front and they’ll call out your dish as it’s ready.

By far the BEST dumplings in all of NY hands down. I’ve never had a dumpling anywhere in NY taste as good as these dumplings. To top it off, the price is super affordable in this current economy was well. Highly recommend this place, it is my new go to staple whenever I am in the area. Note: Workers only speak Chinese. If you don’t know Chinese, please use google translate and remember to be respectful.

Been there 4 times. Yes English is not their first language but the dumplings are sooo good. Hand made. Worth the wait. Pork bun yum. Its clean and they are always cleaning their equipment.

This is a good spot to get dumplings. I ordered some pork dumplings. You get 15 for 11 dollars which is pretty decent. The dumplings themselves were really good. The wait is around 10 minutes. There are a couple of spots to eat inside, but it is usually full. I went during the weekend and all the seats were taken.

NOT to be confused with the North Korean/Yanbian Northern King Dumpling (Wang Mandoo) along Northern Boulevard, the similarly titled Northern Dumpling King is a fully Northeastern Chinese affair. Here you'll find some superb and less commonly available Dongbei regional specialties like the lobo xian bing (fried radish pancake), which uses a delicious and not too pungent green radish variety. The vegetable dumplings here are really fantastic. The slightly thick dough has that much sought-after "QQ texture". Note for vegetarians: the vegetable dumplings are not available every day, so call ahead to ask.

Northern Dumpling House was good but honestly not great. The service is fine no issues there at all but the dumplings didn't stand out to me. No they weren't too doughy but there was barely any filling in comparison to the other dumplings you can find in the area including Old Captain's Dumpling House or White Bear. I got the chive egg and shrimp dumplings which were lacking any shrimp whatsoever. I went to an employee to let him know and he told me it has very little shrimp...had several pieces but couldn't taste it in a single one. All in all, I won't be returning back to this place when there are simply so many better options within walking distance.

Ordered the frozen dumplings to take home with me. The dumplings was delicious and easy to cook. The skin didn't break at all. Great fillings choices. Definitely worth a try.

Late night food cravings require juicy, juicy dumplings. Wild decisions can be eased with going with the first thing on the lighted menus--Chinese Cabbage and Pork Dumplings. A set of 15 for $10, yup 15. Great small seating area and stools for dine-in. We were latecomers so we had to get it to-go. Service was quick and straightforward. Lamb dumplings were the second prize in this little takeout journey.

One of our first stops whenever we hit Flushing! Delicious spicy dumplings, we always get 2-3 orders to go!! Highly recommended

I come here all the time for their dumplings. So delicious. I recommend the dill pork dumpling or the chives pork,egg and shrimp dumpling. I'm obsessed with their giant veggie bun, the vegetable filling is super fresh. So yummy! Sometimes the person at the register does not understand English but that's ok, you can just point at the item you want on the menu. Dine in is self service but take out is also always an option. Usually they are very busy. Best dumplings in flushing!! Almost forgot to mention the beef noodle soup is also recommended, don't forget to ask them make it spicy.

Excellent flavor. Not too oily when I make fried dumplings. The dumpling skin is slightly chewy. It's a good texture. Price point for frozen dumplings are on par with other places. I asked for #4 but they gave me #3 dill and pork which is also fine. The meat is a little lacking in quantity but it's tasty and not too salty. I would buy frozen again. There is about 3 tables to eat which is good. I would come back to try noodle stuff.

Best Dumplings I've Ever Had In Flushing!!!! The Filling Is Flavorful And The Wrapping Is Soft And It's Light On The Stomach. The Price Is Great For The Amount Given. The Service Is Decent And You Can See Them Making The Dumplings Through A Glass. I'm Would Definitely Recommend Checking Them Out!

a typical quick grab and go steamed dumpling joint but SOOOOOO WORTH IT if you are in Flushing... If you're looking for Din Tai Fung ambiance - not happening BUT if you want really good steamed dumplings - you MUST have a try - homemade and tasty!!!

Good fast casual place to grab some wontons! They also have dumplings on the menu but I opted for the spicy wontons - it came with their chili oil, Pickled veggies, Scallion. Delicious and hit the spot for a lunch meal! They have other items, maybe I will try them next time. But I am a big fan of #13 (15 wontons pieces for $12)

The shrimp chives dumplings are really good. Took off one star due to they veggie dumpling is on the list but it was always out. Maybe just my luck. Otherwise it was excellent!

My go to snack stop whenever I'm in the area! If you're craving authentic steamed dumplings made fresh, northern dumpling is a must try.

Service can be tough here if you don't speak the language. The workers ignore you until you make some noise. Ladies were busy frying up meat pies. And the two guys ignored me. I had to say "whey" before they even knowledged my presence. If language is an issue quickly follow this strategy. Grab a menu and point to items you want on menu so the worker can understand. The place is a newly created hole-in-the-wall but you can still eat in or take out! I have only purchased the frozen vegetable dumplings for $28. There are 50 pieces. This is a no frills place so don't expect any dipping sauces to go or even any napkins! The dumpling skin is handmade and not the manufactured wrapper. Decent stuffing ratio and there is some spice that is a little tart and I am unsure of what it is! Happy diners are seen eating plateful of gorgeous dumplings. I had to deduct sone star power for poor customer service.
