"Ruston’s waterfront has its fair share of fancyseafood restaurants, but the casual Northern Fish has them all beat. Technically, it’s a seafood market where regulars swing by for scallops by the pound, tubs of seaweed salad, and endless varieties of smoked fish. But there's also a little counter cranking out excellent made-to-order meals. Picnic tables outside put you so close to the water you’ll be side-eyeing seagulls the entire meal. This is a good place for the fried fish, oysters, and shrimp. Good staff and the price of the food is reasonable. The only thing is that if you go at certain times before closing all the catch-up and sauce are put away. When asked for example, for the tartar sauce they give you something else. I had a pretty good experience except for one time

Very good spot for fish and chips! Outside seating is available if desired. The dock alongside it is great for taking in the water view. Reasonable prices and they offer both halibut and cod .

My daughter and I shared the Cod and Chips. It was very good. My daughter really liked the fries and I also bought some smoked salmon that was also good. We'll be back.

Been here many times. Usually to purchase some sort of seafood. A few times to eat. Each visit has been pleasant. The quality of the seafood here is 💯. The food ordered to eat is also really good. There is only seating outside. It can get busy and sometimes you may meet some nice people who are willing to share their table. Food was handed out hot. The french fries were good as they were hot! Whether you’re eating fish and chips here or ordering raw fresh fish to take home. This is a great place to go! Staff are helpful and friendly too.

This came recommended as the best fish & chips in Tacoma. Not only did it exceed expectations, the Oysters were excellent too! It offered a wide assortment of fresh fish and food to take to go if you stop by while in town or on a stroll. I will be returning my next time in Tacoma! And yes, the fish and chips are the best I have ever had!
