I bought a generator 18 months ago, it came with a 2-year warranty. The battery died, they said is was excluded from the warranty... so I purchased a new one. The generator quit running so I brought it in for repairs, they charged me a $55 fee to diagnose under warranty (not stated in the warranty anywhere). They called to say that something had gotten through the fuel filter and clogged the carburetor, so we had a discussion about gas. I always use ethanol free gas in my equipment, and add Amzoil fuel stabilizer. They called a few days later saying it was ready so I went to retrieve it. They handed me a bill for $283.24 to fix a generator under warranty saying it was a gas problem. Never did they tell me there was a charge, they provided no estimate for the repair, and they didn't obtain approval to make the repair. Upon return home, I discovered that it ran almost as poorly as it did when I brought it in! https://www.youtube.com/shorts/WHRbqwCSwpc
