Greg was an amazing waiter, he was the best waiter I have had anywhere in the last year. The food was great! The wings were fried perfectly and the bacon meatloaf was amazing. Overall, I had a great time and was able to enjoy in a private room. There was a young lady who helps the first half and she was the nicest! Definitely coming back.

Google
Very cool place with nice atmosphere! Food was tasty, I recommend pasta. The service was great. And all drinks were free of charge.

Vanessa Mery

Google
This place exceeded my expectations! The food was absolutely delicious. They had an extensive drink menu as well as plenty of food choices for all diets. Service was excellent! The patio was dog friendly with ample room for everyone. Atmosphere was pleasant with the clientele ranged from active biking people to those dressed for date night. Can’t go wrong dining here. Will definitely return

Google
Girlfriends went for a birthday lunch. Friendly, smart staff. Delicious food. Wish I could eat here every day. The apps were good portion and absolutely delicious-short rib poutine and fries brussel sprouts (shown). Lunch was salads and sandwiches.

Google
I've dined here twice now, and have had a wonderful experience both times! As other reviews mention, you can tell it's a neighborhood bar as soon as you walk in. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! There is a nice large parking lot to the side, so I haven't had any issues finding a parking spot here! Also, while there is plenty of seating inside the restaurant, if the weather is nice, I definitely recommend sitting on the patio outside! The umbrellas offer plenty of shade, and the seats are actually really comfy! I saw a small private dining room inside, on the way to the restroom as well, so I think they also host small private events. Also, the restroom is kept very clean, which is always a bonus! I ordered the Cobb salad during my last visit, and it was SO good! So good, that I'm still thinking about it weeks later. It came with a slice of cornbread, which was a delicious surprise! I'm definitely going back for more!

Google
Our regular dinner place! Always an amazing experience! Staff is amazing! One of my favorite places in the area! We love to dine on the patio!

Google
We came here for their Happy Hour & enjoyed their oysters (great deal!) and the Short Rib Poutine, which was DELICIOUS.

Google
The food was delicious! Great options and good portions! A minimalist, but modern dining area, and clean. Unfortunately the service wasn't that great, but we think they must have just been under staffed. We would go back!

Yelp
Northside10 - Bar and Grill but so much more! We happened upon this casual dining spot in Alexandria during a family vacation. Ambiance - casual, friendly, spacious with options. Take your pick of the covered patio, uncovered patio with umbrellas, bar area or general dining area. The menu has a great mix of bar offerings with some outstanding entrees that are worth trying. Of note: Crab & Artichoke dip (not your standard and a nice upgraded version!), wings, perfectly seasoned and fried oysters, shrimp risotto and grilled catfish. Wednesday is Raw Bar night with a delectable selection of clams, mussel, oysters and the like. Service - outstanding. They have a variety of special events throughout the year as well. it's the perfect neighborhood stop with excellent dining. Enjoy!

Yelp
We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon to grab something and we weren't disappointed. We arrived prior to their brunch hours expiring so I tried the cheese steak. Delicious! Maybe not quite on the level of an authentic Philly cheese steak but it was really good. The drinks were pretty good as well. They have outdoor seating which allows you to enjoy the weather (although the restaurant itself is near a pretty busy street). A dimmed interior allows for a mellow atmosphere inside. The server was very good and attentive (the name escapes me). Definitely a place to keep in mind for a future visit!

Jada G.

Yelp
This is a place that excels a good chunk of their menu but remember it's a neighborhood bar so manage your expectations. What they do well: most of the breakfast items. The french toast is pretty good for the price and unlike a lot of places around, you actually get meat included as a side instead of ordering a la carte. The sandwiches are mid--you're not going to find the best sandwich of your life but you will find something tasty for an okay price. A burger and chicken sandwich are safe options, but I personally wouldn't do a deli-type sandwich as a native Philadelphian. Finally, the not-so-great. I wouldn't really get any of the salads since they're pricey and honestly just don't do much for me. If you're eating out with someone who needs healthier options, I would just take them somewhere else. All in all, a solid centerpiece for locals and their visitors.

Brigette K.

Yelp
I've been here for meals where I sat in the dining room, as well as some food and/or drinks in the bar. It's definitely a locals place and even though I have lived here for 6 years at this point and been to Northside multiple times, I've not been welcomed as a "local." But the drinks are fine and they have baseball or whatever current sport is going on the tvs which is nice. The service is usually pretty good.

Billy V.

Yelp
It is Ground Hog Day. Having some drinks in this gin mill. If u like to enjoy an adult beverage after 9pm. Come on down. Not for the faint of heart. Music chilling. I have to say for all the cool cats; come n chill brothers n sisters.

Armando L.

Yelp
Came in for a retirement party and was pleasantly satisfied. Visiting from California and this was the go to place for my brother in law during the Covid shut down. Great food and location. Had the stark salad and pulled pork. Our server did a great job being attentive with our large party (25 people). Won't be returning on account of us just visiting but I recommend this place for sure. They have a killer spicy margarita!

Star T.

Yelp
I only came for something small, but I will return soon to try more. I ordered french fries (I did say small) and some water. The fries were great. What's most notable about the restaurant is the service. The staff is super kind and our waitress Savannah was especially prompt and took care of us well. The ambiance is quaint. When you first walk in there is a self-seating bar and to the right is the restaurant. Saturday and Sunday they offer brunch from 11:30am - 3pm and during the week they have happy hour from 4pm - 6pm. Like I said, I wasn't in the area for anything more than a light snack, so I will return to give you more information on what's tastiest!

Michelle K.

Yelp
Great neighborhood pub with awesome food! It's small and cozy with a nice outdoor patio. The Parmesan flounder is one of the best fish dishes I've ever had - server over a shrimp risotto with asparagus, tomato, and crab - just perfection! The steak was also flavorful with a great sauce. It is casual and approachable. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Yelp
BLUF: good food, generous portions but service was lacking. I went with a relatively large group of people on a Saturday for late lunch. We had made reservation but only got there we found out the table is not ready for us. So we had a lot of standing around waiting for tables to be assembled. Once we sat down it took a while to order and orders came out in a very haphazard fashion. Some of us were done before the others even got appetizers. Having said all that I need to be fair to the restaurant. This is also a bar crawl day, and the restaurant was preparing a lot of food for a lot of people outside as well as in. I'm guessing it was one of their busy days of the year. That may well have explained the service that we got. Now answer the food: - Rue Burger: this is meant to be a mix of reuben sandwich and a hamburger. My biggest issue within is that there was barely half a teaspoon of sauerkraut on there. That doesn't say Ruben to me. I asked for my hamburger to be medium, and it was definitely overdone. The fries I came with it or crunchy and very good even without anything to dip them in. also came with some nice crunchy pickle slices on the side. - Cajun wings: kind of a let down. The wings were cooked perfectly with a nice crispy skin, but what apparently is Cajun seasoning is just a very heavy salt of some sort. They're not really Cajun at all. In fact no matter which ones you get they all seem to look about the same the wings themselves are quite good but the flavoring is lacking. I would not recommend getting the cajun, and if you get the barbecue or Buffalo wings ask for the sauce to be on the side and just dip your wings. Poutine: decadent and delicious Brussels Sprouts app: very good Mac and Cheese: plenty of cheese and pasta as well done, but there was basically no flavor. I wish they took the salt that was on my wings and put it on this dish. Flounder: nice crispy cook to this. Very good Short Ribs: very tender and tasty. The outstanding part of this dish is the risotto that it is served on top of. That was buttery and delicious Risotto ball app: wonderfully crunchy outside and moist inside. I would go back, only because I just think I caught them on a very bad day. They just weren't ready for everything coming at them. The food had highlights and lowlights.

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant. We were craving burgers and this place did not disappoint! Lanni got the Oyster po boy with fries and I got the Virginia burger which came with Virginia ham. Everything was so darn flavorful and they give a hefty portion! Please try the risotto fritters as an app, highly recommend. I usually get my burgers rare and they absolutely killed it. The temp was perfect, we were at another local burger bar who basically just didn't cook the patty. This burger from Northside was great for redemption! We got the sweet tea lemonade, blueberry, and moscow mule for cocktails. The drinks were on the stronger side but they had no problem accommodating. Not to mention, the food came out pretty fast! Our server DAN THE MAN was awesome, funny, and very attentive. Definitely coming back when we are in town!

Yelp
Always a solid pick for a great meal. Good service and food! I'm a huge fan of their pulled chicken salad- the best!

Laura N.

Yelp
Love their chicken salad usually but nachos are horrible. Delivered cold with no pico, no sour cream, etc. as described on the menu. Went straight to the trash. Tried to get help to just refund the Nachos but no go. Taking this all the way until I get a refund for nasty food since the salad had brown lettuce.

Erika B.

Yelp
It's a nice place to grab food while watching a sporting event. The bar areas have tv sets in all directions. The wait staff was very attentive. I would go back again.

Naomi C.

Yelp
Stopped by on Saturday afternoon with the kiddos for a quick lunch. They were hungry and I wanted to try something new. I knew nothing about it but the reviews were decent and it was close. The vibes are live music (country/bluegrass-y) outside on the patio and sports bar when you first walk inside. Very English pub like with tall booths that lend privacy. We sat in an indoor dining section near the back. Our reception was lukewarm and chaotic. The host took a while to materialize, but there were like 40 people in the tiny bar area so he likely couldn't see us. Out waiter was ... having a less than ideal day. Either that or he was practicing for his next act as a French fine dining waiter. In any event, we ordered- all the kids decided to order the exact same thing, the flounder and I decided to try the honey jalapeño pulled chicken sandwich. The wait wasn't unbearable and the kids menu comes with crayons (a must). And plus the kids figured out that Northside stands for Canadian thanks to the Canadian flag on the coloring sheet! The flounder was well seasoned but we had to flag down someone else to find our server for tartar, hot sauce and the spicy aioli that was supposed to come with my sweet potato fries. After all was said and done, the kids wanted more flounder (the kids menu is 3-4 very small pieces). Again, finding our waiter and ordering four extra pieces. They were perfect and didn't take too long and the kids loved them. The honey jalapeño sandwich was ... okay. 8oz of chicken that needed salt and more seasonings (mild wasn't even descriptive enough for the jalapeño flavor, or lack thereof) and the ramekin of coleslaw barely moistened it enough to make it swallowable! Here's the thing, the concept was good, but, and hear me out here: season the chicken BEFORE you pull it too!!!!!! Yeah. The sweet potato waffle fries were good, if a bit greasy but it's fries. The jalapeño aioli also needed a punch of hot sauce but the mild flavor actually worked with the fries. We went to SweetFrog for dessert because the service we a bit slow even though we were one of only three tables in the entire back section lol. Won't be back, but we enjoyed it!

Yelp
Just on the Del Ray - Alexandria border we found Northside 10. It's a great out of the way combo sports bar and restaurant. The tap room/sports bar is compact but offers several channels of TV sports and music for entertainment. There is seating at the bar and a few nearby tables. Just off the bar is the main dining room which has private booths and tables. The Northside menu consists of hearty sized appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees with daily specials and deserts. The theme is southern comfort foods. Some favorites include fried chicken, blackened chicken pasta, chicken quesadillas and deserts like key lime pie or coconut cream This restaurant wouldn't be great without a good cooking and wait staff. They are friendly, very attentive and professional. They often go out of their way to provide great service. If your on the town near Del Ray this might be a great place for watching sports or celebrating. Enjoy!

Yelp
I had an 11 am appointment around block from this spot . Found this on Yelp Hostess was welcoming I tried the 5 Reuben sandwich, was delicious. I'll check it out again if I'm in the neighborhood

Joseph F.

Yelp
We are here our first night after arriving in Alexandria Va. the place was a little on the dark side for my taste but the service was great and quick. I ordered their version of a pastrami sandwich. They brined the brisket it for several days before smoking and cooking it. First let me say the sandwich was large and delicious. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food. My wife was not happy with her lemon drop. There seemed to be a certain level of rundownness( I know that's not a work) and maybe needed some new paint, fixtures and such but I'd eat here again

John Q.

Yelp
Had lunch here on Friday October 27 with five friends. Service was very slow from start to finish. My Reuben sandwich was bad- meat was tough, no Russian dressing. Very much below average. There was no atmosphere at all. Waiting. Waiting. I will never return. John Quinn Springfield VA

Yelp
The food is inconsistent and the service here is terrible! Be prepared to be ignored by everyone there the minute you step in the door, the managers, waiters, waitress, busboys, bartender will all look at you, sometimes even making eye contact, but they all refuse to greet you or seat you, doesn't make a difference if it is busy or slow. Despite the bad service, I use to visit the location quite often as I live two blocks away and within walking distance. The final straw was regarding the Jambalaya Pasta that I ordered without shrimp, but instead, substitute with extra smoked sausage. When the entree arrived, it literally had 5 peices of sausage! When I asked about the lack of sausage, the waiter contacted the manager, and without even looking at my plate, the manager flatly refused to help make the situation right by simply providing $1.00 or $2.00 worth of sausage, figured the shrimp that I omitted, costed way more than that! Go to Southside in Old Town instead, same owners, most of the same food, but definitely better managed there, night and day difference!

Blake D.

Yelp
At best the food is regular mediocre american stuff. Don't care for the owners or staff who were very bad to me.

Edmund C.

Yelp
Excellent selection of different kinds of food. Service is prompt friendly and knowledgeable. Additions and modifications to menu choices are welcome and encouraged. Highly recommended.

Christi R.

Yelp
We walked over to Northside 10 after finding it on Google Maps. Bottom line is that it was fantastic! It is a great little tavern with a great vibe. The restaurant is separate from the bar area if you prefer a quieter environment. Their patio was also nice although it was too chilly for us to sit outside. I ordered the Shrimp risotto and it was delicious. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the risotto creamy. This is a beautiful dish that is truly a feast for the eyes. My husband ordered the Jambalaya Pasta and loaded tots, and his Jambalaya was also culinary perfection. My only complaint is that I would love to see a half-portion on the menu. I could only finish about half of mine. Don't miss this hidden gem.

Jack T.

Yelp
Interesting assortment of proteins. All nicely prepared. Short ribs poutine is an example. Portions are generous. Wait staff friendly and professional.

Stephanie K.

Yelp
We went here on a whim for lunch on NYE and had a delightful experience. We asked to sit outside / social distance as out of towners and were well taken care of. It was almost 60° so it was pleasant. Our table was wobbly so my husband was going to stick a crayon under it only to see that there was a crayon on the ground, assuming someone had already been doing that. Kids meals come with drinks. My 3 year old ordered Mac and cheese (not on the kids menu, but they do have penne noodles with butter and Parmesan) and I was relieved to see they didn't charge us for the drink she got. Food and drinks were great! I'd recommend this place. Service was fantastic. I really liked our server. Cool dude. Fun fact, the chef is from Michigan.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Felt really disappointed with this cute spot. I ordered an Uber on a Saturday night to northside and arrived at 10:35pm (their hours online say they don't close until midnight) I walked in with my bf and they told me they were closing and we couldn't stay. Meanwhile they had 5 people drinking at the bar.

James G.

Yelp
Oh man. This place is good! Oyster po-boy and poutine fries were fantastic! Will absolutely come back- maybe tomorrow! Edit to say... I did come back the next day- and it was also really good!

Devon E.

Yelp
Made a reservation for my mother-in-law's birthday and came to find out it was also the day of the Kentucky Derby! Their patio, including their recently added seating, was packed as no one wanted to be inside. Despite how busy they were, the staff was very nice and helpful. They only had one table outside to accommodate our group size, which was occupied by a group staying longer than predicted, so the staff legit built a table for us in the parking lot. They had a guy singing live music (who was very talented and singing all my favorite songs) as well as a projector showing the races on the side of the restaurant building. It kind of felt like a Kentucky Derby party! I ordered a Mint Julip for the occasion. Loved the cool bronze glass it came in. Not my usually drink, but I enjoyed it. We got a lot of food as a group of 8, I can really only comment on the things near me. For Starters we ordered the Northside Nachos (Cheddar and Jack cheese, pico de gallo, lettuce, and sour cream with your choice of jalapeno honey pulled chicken) and Loaded Tots (Jack and Cheddar cheese, bacon, and sour cream). The nachos were a big serving, but felt it lacked a bit in flavor. I'm not typically a tater tot person, but theirs were pretty good. I really liked the dipping sauce it came with whatever it as. My husband loves a Reuben, so I was not surprised when that was his selection (House cured and smoked pastrami, sauerkraut, gruyere cheese and Russian dressing on toasted rye. Served w/fries and a dill pickle). I enjoyed a couple bites, it was a good sandwich. The pastrami was very yummy. Their fries were also solid, nicely seasoned and crispy. After all the starters, I decided to get the Chopped Cobb Salad as my entree (Southern fried chicken, bacon, egg, avocado, tomato and blue cheese crumbles. Tossed in honey mustard vinaigrette dressing). It was a big salad and very tasty. I didn't feel like I was missing out by ordering a salad at all. The fried chicken was well prepared, and the salad was not overdressed with the vinaigrette. Lots of blue cheese and the vegetables fresh. I also love cornbread and theirs was just how I like it. I have been to Northside 10 a few times when visiting the area and it is always a good choice- something for all tastes and good food.

Lynn D.

Yelp
Excellent neighborhood restaurant! Food was good although the appetizers came out after the entrees. My daughters got cake and said it was delicious. Thanks!

Esther S.

Yelp
Came by on the first day I was in town and really enjoyed my meal! Ambiance: 5 Very cute neighborhood restaurant, the outdoor seating is just as lovely as the indoor seating. Service: 4.5 Seemed a little understaffed as our server was subbing around to a lot of tables and had to be flagged down often. They always got everything right even if it took time to get out to us. Food: 5 Very big fan of everything! Got the artichoke dip that was very good with the bread. Braised ribs were very tender and delicious with mashed potatoes. (Even though the picture on the menu online showed it came with risotto, not potatoes) and the green beans with garlic was also great. The jambalaya pasta was also super good! The side of risotto tasted a little meh but the portion was huge

Shan S.

Yelp
First time trying Northside 10 and enjoyed the location of the restaurant. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has umbrellas. There is also a dedicated parking lot which is a perk. The crab artichoke dip and bread were good, and lots more dip then bread. The braised prime rib was ok, very fatty on the first order (as seen in photo) and dried out on second order. Unsure who our waiter was as we sat there for a long time and had to ask the bartender if we could get a waiter. The female bartender was friendly and helpful, she ended up taking our order and running back and forth between the bar and us. There was an older masked gentleman who was working tables in our area but continued to skip us and was not friendly when we asked him questions.

Matthew L.

Yelp
Came here during restraint week and the food was great. Got the chicken wing appetizer, rib entree, and key lime pie dessert. Only thing you could hope for would be a little larger portion sizes but each dish tasted great.

Theepica J.

Yelp
Northside is a great little spot that has a solid menu, bar, and nice outdoor seating. Their rueben sandwich happens to be my favorite and I tend to stick with getting just that but hey, everytime it's consistently made and filled will deliciousness and a generous side of fries. You also can't go wrong with their catfish po'boy! We've been ordering food from them "to go" over the course of the year and the food is still great. Usually our order is done very quickly (15-20 min) which gives us ample time to drive over and pick it up. When picking up, they have a table set up outside where you "check in" with the hostess, give them your name, they bring you your food, you pay, and you're on your merry way! It's safe, quick, and convenient!

Alison G.

Yelp
The day after Christmas my husband decided that the pounds of leftovers we had in the refrigerator should be ignored and that the better option was to go out to dinner. Sounded logical to me! I've been wanting to check out Northside 10 since we moved to Arlington, and based on the positive Yelp reviews. I made a reservation, but it would be a real understatement to say that it wasn't needed, when we walked into the restaurant there were two people sitting at the bar, there were no other patrons in the restaurant (one might assume that everyone else was at home being fiscally responsible and eating their leftovers). We were greeted promptly and asked where we wanted to sit, we chose to sit in the bar area so we weren't isolated on the dining room side. We ordered a cocktail and a beer pretty immediately and then perused the menu. We ordered an appetizer - the risotto fritters. They were perfectly cooked, with a nice crunchy exterior and a soft interior, however they needed seasoning. Dipping the fritters in the "tomato bacon gravy" it came with really made the dish come together despite the lack of seasoning, the dipping sauce was delicious. I ordered the Parmesan flounder for my entree and it was yummy, not to mention the portion size was huge (more leftovers to add to the pounds we already have ). The meal could've used a bit more seasoning, but otherwise it was quite good and I would order it again. The hubby got the braised short ribs and we immediately noticed and appreciated the amount of green beans on the plate, too often restaurants skimp on the veggies! The braised short rib was nice and tender, but again everything could have used seasoning. All in all we enjoyed ourselves, the service was friendly and attentive, the chef was just a bit too shy on seasoning for our taste. The hubby and I agree that we will be back to give this spot another try.

Singi D.

Yelp
Been here for brunch & a late night sweet snack. Everything was fine, nothing to write home about. Staff was ok, could be friendlier, and more attentive. Great outdoor seating.

Soyokaze Y.

Yelp
Fairly vanilla taste and ambience. Nice beers. Not sure I would go back. Oyster sandwich was ok

Antoinette K.

Yelp
The only reason we are giving this place 3 stars is because of the exceptional service and the ambiance. The employees were very kind but the food was average at best. I wanted to actually give them 2.5 stars. The food needed seasoning, and my husband's pastrami sandwich was very dry (the meat was dry). Also, the peach pound cake was nothing to write home about. If you do decide to visit, enjoy the service and keep your food expectations low.

Mark B.

Yelp
Feeling nostalgic as I was driving around the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, VA. The kids and I would go here quite a bit when we lived here many years ago. It's good southern cuisine. I tried out the grilled pork with green beans and side salad this visit. We normally come here during the weekends and get East Coast oysters. And the kids would have the various yummy sandwiches they offer.

Laura K.

Yelp
Solid restaurant/pub to come hang with friends. They do live music on the weekends outside (usually a guitar/singer) and they have plenty of seating inside/outside. The food was solid all around, and there are lots of good options on the menu. Short rib poutine appetizer is a must try. Only reason this got 4 stars was because service was a little slow at times and we ended up for drinks frequently, but the servers were all lovely and they are likely still bouncing back from COVID challenges!

Pau G.

Yelp
Good food. Great location, which is convenient to Pentagon, DC and Old Town Alex. Outside seating is comfortable and inside is nice.

Tim S.

Yelp
Good food w/a very "neighborhood" vibe. There are lots of options in DelRay...this is one that is open--even during COVID and snow storms. So that should count for something...

Clare O.

Yelp
This place is so awesome I had to stop mid-bite to leave a review! I'm always looking for new salad places, but they can be really hit and miss on the portion size, dressing, and overall quality- however, none of these things are an issue here! The size of the salad is honestly huge, the chicken is grilled to perfection, the avocado was freshly cut, bacon was also fresh, along with the tomatoes and other veggies. There were generous portions of the chicken, bacon, bleu cheese, and the salad was just super big in general! It could easily last at least two meals. It's so big I was honestly surprised at the size. It also comes with a big portion of cornbread which was nice! Also, I can be really picky when it comes to dressing, especially with balsamic vinaigrette because it can get really tangy, but their house balsamic is so creamy and delicious and they also included enough dressing with the salad. Cannot overstate how amazing this salad is (chopped cob with grilled chicken sub). The only thing that I would change is the surcharge for changing the fried chicken to grilled. Also got the tots (in case the salad wasn't up to par) and they were great! Freshly made, crunchy, a ton of them! *had to edit the review to emphasize how perfect this dressing is, I could literally bathe in it.

Bill J.

Yelp
This is a really great restaurant! Our family got take-out Saturday evening and everyone was very pleased with their dinners. Food was delicious, portion size was large, and the price was very reasonable. We ordered a full slab of ribs... they were tender and had a wonderful bbq sauce. The chicken fried steak with gravy was terrific. My wife had the grilled chicken Marsala salad and loved it. We also had terrific sides: mashed potatoes, Macaroni and cheese, Caesar salad, Brussel sprouts. And a garden salad. All of them were great.

Thomas H.

Yelp
I'm a regular here and their food is delicious. Reasonable pieces and the staff is super friendly

Michael R.

Yelp
Food great but service was not that great. Staff was not particularly friendly. It was like they were waiting to go home.

Marlene L.

Yelp
Love their nachos. Reminds me of a place in the PacNW! My grandsons enjoy the nachos with me.

Armistead J.

Yelp
This spot was a very pleasant surprise it's a wonderful little place that has good customer service and great food

Eduardo C.

Yelp
Service was great. Good selection of beers and the bartender was super friendly, even providing some suggestions for other bars in the DMV. Food was definitely high end compared to the simple bar food we were actually expecting. A great Rueben and the salads were also very filling. Great option for the Arlington area outside the tourist area around Pentagon and Crystal City areas.

Ruth D.

Yelp
My group sat outside, which was a pleasant enough setting in the Virginia spring. Our waitress really knew her craft and even asked if I was looking for a super sweet drink when I ordered one of the cocktails. I wasn't, so I ordered something else. She brought out drinks and then appetizers and gave us time to enjoy those without overlapping our entrees. Thar pacing is incredibly rare, intentional (and more often high-end) service in my experience. We were never rushed. The appetizers were a good sharing size and the fritters so delightfully cheesy! The entrees are large, the fried foods crispy, and the sauces tangy. Great eats on top of topnotch service. COVID Review (May 2021): I'm still nervous about folks I don't know going unmasked around me, so I wasn't thrilled that the service staff weren't masked on our visit.

Yelp
Overall the experience was alright. Our server was rather slow in attending us. He didn't really have much personality. So that wasn't good for our first times. The environment is quiet for a Sunday evening. Nice little location. Wanted to try something new so we stopped by this place because of their reviews. Overall, the food was good and the experience was fine.

Yelp
Northside 10..hmm well I've gone here twice and both times I ended up disappointed. I really thought it could have been a fluke visit the first time. The atmosphere is nice and has potential to be a great place for a date night but the food just wont let it be great. With the food...an acquired taste is needed. I'll say that if you mess up garlic bread something is wrong. Both times I ordered the artichoke dip with bread and the butter was never fully melted which blew my mind. I had to scrape off the butter just to enjoy it..either that or consider a glob of butter as a "side". I had the meatloaf thinking ok nobody can mess up meatloaf right? I mean it was the worst but it needed a little bit more seasoning like something was missing. I couldn't really enjoy the dinner only because when I wanted to ask for more condiments to assist with doctoring up my meatloaf...the service was slightly slow. I normally don't complain about service if its busy, but for a Friday night it was nice out but the place wasn't too packed to come and check on your customer from time to time. Northside 10 has potential but could use a little change or at least an upgrade in the kitchen.
