"Northside Café at the Sahara has a three-course dinner on Christmas Eve with a choice of French onion soup with Gruyére, crostini, and chives or a Christmas spiced poached pear salad with baby lettuces, candied walnuts, and Champagne vinaigrette. Then, for the main entrée, select either a slow-roasted prime rib of beef with haricots verts, watercress, crisp onions, creamy horseradish, and au jus, or grilled salmon filet with parsnips, broccolini, almonds, shallots, brown butter, capers, and currants. For dessert, choose from an apple tart with caramel sauce or molten chocolate cake with raspberry and whipped cream. The Christmas dinner is $35 per person. Northside Café will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve." - Susan Stapleton

It was convenient, because we were staying at the hotel, but I would not make a detour on a trip to eat here. I can only speak of breakfast. Our server seemed friendly, but not overly present, and I think the food took a bit of time to come out. In terms of flavour it was ok. Would probably not come back. Overall rating 3/5.

Stayed at sls for 10 days for work in vegas. Ate at Northside cafe quite a few times during my stay. They areopen 24 hours and have a wide selection on their menu. I ordered mainly chinese. Food is pretty goof. The chineae selectiom for the most part is authentic chinese, although they did keep certain american chineae favorites such as the orange chicken, mongolian beef, Kong Pao chicken, etc... their food is pn the expensive side, in particular breakfast. Almost everything on the breakfast menu is $15. Their service is not great. Not sure if it's because they're understaffed or what... it takes them forever to refill drinks or get us menus and utensils. Food ia good though. See my pictures.

Welcome to Northside Cafe and Chinese Kitchen! It’s a Chinese restaurant by night, but early mornings, it’s an American style cafe/diner with tasty breakfast options. We stopped in on a couple of occasions and had good food and decent service....at Vegas prices of course. (Breakfast is served all day, e’ry day!) They have a $25 breakfast buffet, but we chose to order from the menu on each visit. The Chilaquiles Verdes is $16 and includes two fried eggs (cooked to your style), tortillas, chorizo, cotija cheese and pico de gallo. It’s a very large and filling portion, but a little different than the chilaquiles style I’m used to. Instead of tortilla strips, it was served on tortilla CHIPS. Nothing wrong with that, just a bit different and more difficult to eat with a knife and fork. It was kind of like trying to eat nachos with a knife and fork. There was too much chorizo in it for me, so it made it pretty salty. Also, not enough of the verde hot sauce, or pico de gallo, and I wish it was made a little spicier than it was. The Two Egg Breakfast ($16) is typical breakfast diner food. Includes two eggs cooked as you like, with choice of bacon, pork, or chicken sausage. Also includes hashbrowns and toast. No complaints with this order. Grilled Cheese & Roasted Tomato Soup ($13) - the grilled cheese sandwich was of ordinary size, but included siwss, cheddar, and provolone cheese on grilled sourdough bread. I’m not usually a fan of tomato soup, but hey, my receipt shows that it was around 4:30am, so maybe my judgement was clouded, LOL. Regardless of my hazy state, I was happy with what I can remember about my meal. The tomato soup was very rich and creamy. The Breakfast Burrito ($15) was a very decent size and was loaded down a smorgasbord of offerings. It was stuffed with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, green chiles, sour cream, TASTY guacamole, salsa verde, and pico de gallo. As far as quantity goes, this is probably the best bang for the buck at this joint. They have awesome orange juice and raspberry mimosas too. The restaurant is very cold, so bring a blanket or a jacket!

This is by far the lowest scale restaurant in the sls. The prices are the cheapest and the service is the worst. It is still a good cafe. The banana split is good. The turkey was good. The fired rice is a little oily but nice. For sure worth the visit if you are staying at the sls but I wouldn't come in to eat here other wise. Try out katsuya or Cleo if you live off the strip. They are both expensive and both super yummy for a date night.

Good food. Excellent, patient server (David) didn't mind telling me what some of the dishes were, prompt at filling our glasses. Service with a smile. Courteous. I gave it a 4 because I think it's pricey.

Husband and I came to Las Vegas for our anniversary and stayed for a week at Sahara. So naturally we ate at the Northside Cafe almost once a day since it was just downstairs. Everything was phenomenal - wings, Belgian waffle, grilled cheese, northside burger, French toast, nachos, Bloody Mary. Everything. Service was awesome. They were always quick but friendly.

The Chinese Food they serve for dinner only is delicious. We have had this 2 nights now. Basil Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. Would definitely recommend this to anyone craving some Asian food.

Delicious! Quick! Great service! I cannot give this place enough praise. We were starving after a long night of drinking and gambling. We were starving and came across this restaurant at the SLS Hotel. It's open 24 hours. The Chinese menu stops at 2 AM, but the rest of the food was still available. The tomato soup was very good. It was creamy and seasoned well. The eggs came out perfect and the dim sum was sooooo good. We got the pork dumplings, which I highly recommend. If we would have had more time, we would have gone back again. I highly recommend this spot to everyone. Keep up the great work.
