We had the BEST visit at Northside!! The variety of vendors, the character of the location, awesome treat and food options, it was a great destination to support local! What a treasure and can't wait to go back since everything updates with the seasons!

This is an amazing area in Akron. Inside this marketplace are tons of local artists selling their hand crafted products as well as local products being made to sell. Honey, baked goods, toys, jewelry, gifts, clothing, & so much more. If you need a gift idea for someone that's hard to buy for this is a great spot to find something. Edited to add I purchased a few fragrance oil roller balls from Touch of Alyvia located inside & they arrived quickly & they were packaged incredibly. You can smell her amazing scents inside the marketplace. These oil roller ball scents last so long. I sampled one on my wrist & could still smell it the next day. Highly recommend this local business!

What a fantastic idea and operation that supports and promotes the growth of the small business community. The concept is fresh and very exciting! I organized a content event for small business and the space is truly packed with notable people and space to snap a good (evergreen) photos. Thanks to Justin for allowing me, and 10ish other small business owners, to this brilliant space! We will be back!

Nice place, cool bar, good food, but next to an eco shop please don’t use styrofoam plates 😓 don’t use them anywhere tbh

Google
This place is so unique, and diverse! You cannot believe the amount of shops and storefront in here. Thai rolled Ice cream, beers on tap, Akron honey company, a miniature DeVitis shop, A coffee shop, tons of clothes, art, jewelry. Everything is local, and lots of it is handmade! Plenty of room to hang out, and rubber city clothing is attached! There is also a virtual reality spot, haven’t tried it yet but it looks amazing! You could spend your entire evening here for sure getting your shopping done, and just generally hanging out. I’m looking forward to seeing what this place continues to grow into!

This was my second time coming here and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. The little shops are so cute and there’s so many unique things like jewelry and snacks to look at and buy. There’s several places to eat at which we didn’t try but plan to in the future. There’s also a small plant shop with a fair selection and other goodies. A tattoo shop there just opened up called India. We went there and got tattoos so if you’re into that, go check them out. This is definitely a gem of Akron.

I love seeing what the local vendors have on offer, checking out the latest plants at Lepley & Co., and occasionally browsing the vintage clothing selection. Northside Marketplace is one of my favorite places in Akron!

Google
Went here on a weekday around lunch time, saw one person who worked there, I would have thought it would have been busier. Still a nice collection of small artisan type shops with a very nice variety of things on offer

Yelp
This marketplace adds so much character to Akron! I love a good multipurpose venue, and this spot delivers with a variety of vendors offering handmade and unique goods. It's the perfect place to find a thoughtful gift or treat yourself to something special. Beyond shopping, the atmosphere is lively with restaurants, bars, and even an adorable plant shop, making it a great place to spend an afternoon. I had a fantastic experience exploring everything this marketplace has to offer and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Quite the spot, I love that it is modeled after a community setup. I like that there is a trust system for check out. Someone within a shout around to answer questions but not overbearing. Really cool was the QR codes for Yelpers to go around and see what offers were available. If I lived here I would certainly come to hang out. There was some really great stuff and I purchased a few things.

Yelp
Found this area through a Yelp event and very glad I did! There are a bunch of cute little shops inside one building and *gasp* there is parking! The shops have jams, jellies, butters, apparel, candles, flowers, jewelry...you know, stuff that all adult woman is like "yassss" about. So there is only one central payment center and there might be a huge line when you're ready to purchase things. It also felt like a bit weird to be walking around the whole area with unpaid merchandise...

Yelp
Came in here for Akron Honey with Habanero. I like it with the hot kick. Picked up a few items from other booths. Most tiny shops are not manned. You pay at the door when you leave. There is lots of shopping variety. Many items come in individual wrappings, perfect for gifts. Included inside are food and dessert counters and a bar to meet up, socialize and relax. This place is an unique concept that I like. It's casual and cozy. Parking is across the street.

Yelp
We visited in December and were presently surprised by the fun atmosphere and the variety of vendors selling locally made goods. We had some sandwiches at Nomz that were delicious and would be improved only by the addition of some chips or other small side. The vendor spaces are setup kind of like an art gallery and we enjoyed slowly browsing the varied wares and picking out a few gift items. The center area also has a bar serving various liquid refreshments.

Yelp
We stopped by today while we waited for our train ride to take off. We found date books, beard oil, cards, and dish towels. My sister is an avid guitar player and the one little booth had a couple of guitars with a note to play them. The people inside were very friendly and helped direct us to check out all the things! Prices were reasonable for what we bought. Will definitely check this out again when we are in the area!

Yelp
The Northside Matketplace is a collection of small stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and bars just outside of downtown Akron on the north side. You enter by the pictured sign and the shops are inside. There is ample free parking and the center of downtown Akron is just a two minute walk. The pictured food is an open faced meatball sandwich from Lugi's, possibly the best Italian restaurant in America. Lugis is a cash only restaurant with an ATM inside.

Yelp
Lovely shops. Bought a bunch of unique gifts. Nice place to stop and get Akron or Ohio made products. Found this through a virtual event. My daughter bought me a starter box a few weeks ago. Keep up the unique plant ifferings. Hope to be back in spring!!

Yelp
This is a haven for Akron local artisans and makers, and I fell in love while visiting a few weeks ago. Located in the heart of Akron, surrounded by other local shops, restaurants, and nightlife, Northside Marketplace offers quirky finds, one-of-a-kind goods, and delicious food and drink options. It's not a large space but it surely packs in a lot to look at and browse through. It's also my understanding that what you may find here one day, could be very different the next. It's sort of a hub for startups in the Akron community. My favorites were a local soap goods company near the entrance. I snagged up some air fresheners for my car and loved smelling their bath bombs, bath salts, and other self-care items. There was also a really cute boutique with great clothes, jewelry, mugs, and knick knacks. I ended up buying a pair of rose gold mood earrings and I love them!! The last item I grabbed before cutting myself off was a beautifully made glass tree ornament. I collect owl stuff and my Christmas tree is full of them. Lucky for me there was a glass owl ornament and I couldn't leave without it. Everything here is priced pretty reasonably for being local and oftentimes handmade. This is truly a cool marketplace and if I lived in the neighborhood I would definitely enjoy stopping in from time to time to check out the varying makers and get gifts for friends.

Yelp
Love it here! It's a great way to buy different types of gifts and shop local at the same time. There are also a couple of places inside to partake in unique beverage and food items. It's always fun here too--good vibes! On my most recent trip here, which was yesterday, I went to purchase some last minute stocking stuffers and pick up a cookie order. Because there is such a variety of handmade items one can purchase, it was easy to find unique gifts and stocking stuffers. There are all kinds of surprises to see here. Take your time walking through the place. It's worth it!

Yelp
THINK GLOBALLY. SHOP LOCALLY. This is a cute little indoor mall of local designers and artisans. It is so aesthetically pleasing to look around and you can definitely tell that this place is kept well and clean. The design of this mall is perfect. You can find so much here from cookies, soaps, clothes for men and women, jewellery, honey, etc. I personally like the Akron Honey Company for delicious and fresh honey. Parking outside can get tight but if you keep driving further down past Luigi's pizza, you will find another parking lot at the back. I recommend this mall for shopping everything local. **** This is my 134th Yelp review overall. 88 reviews for 2018. I am aiming for 100 reviews in 2018. Reviewed on 22 October 2018.

Yelp
This is a really cute place with a ton of shops. My cousins took us here so we could explore downtown Akron. There was a cute jewelry shop with beaded jewelry. My husband even picked me up something as a surprise while were there and it's so cute. I saw soaps, plants, and a lot of different clothing. The whole setup is cute because there are so many stores and markets. After shopping around and taking pics, we bought candy (a Goo Goo for me), and icecream. A fun way to spend a few hours!

Yelp
Great newer place for local artists and entrepreneurs to share their talents with the community. Stop by to grab a drink, get some honey from the Akron Honey Company, or pick up some new threads from Rubber City Clothing. Size matters, shop local!

Yelp
I had no idea this place was so cool! As other reviewers have said, it's an open-space marketplace, with lots of little local shops living the perimeter. At first I was surprised that there were hardly any employees manning the shops, but signs posted around the area explained that you pick up whatever you want and pay for everything at one checkout counter in the exit area. I loved seeing such a variety of local businesses represented, and even more shops opening soon (including a coffee roaster). We ordered Thai rolled ice cream from the Akron Creamery. We sampled local honey, picked up some candy for trick-or-treat, snapped a selfie in front of the live Akron wall, and leisurely walked and window-shopped. We even played a game of tick tack toe in the central common space while watching the news on the big screen. This would be the perfect place for a group date, especially during the winter months!

Yelp
The Northside Marketplace is a literal gem of Akron that everyone should know about. They're a self-described urban market that provides resources and space to start-ups and small businesses. Assuming I understand their model correctly, they are an incubator for all things local. I learned about the Northside Marketplace because I'm a loyal customer of the Akron Honey Company, and they have a small production lab here. The Marketplace is a totally open concept, with maybe 30 businesses co-existing side-by-side...everything from clothing stores, to bicycles, to vintage candy and food. You can walk freely between them and explore but don't be alarmed if you don't see employees at each spot, because you pay for everything - from any store - at the register at the top of the entryway. Credit card only. Its a super interesting place. I love the idea of so many local businesses sharing a common area. I wish there was a bit more opportunity to connect with the business owners, because the model caught me a bit off guard. Regardless, its a wonderful, photo-worthy place to discover a new local love affair!

Yelp
Such a fun stop! They have a bar with beer and wine and you can shop local vendors, eat and play games while you drink! They allow dogs on patio and sometimes inside, yah! Staff is all very friendly and overall it's a great local joint.

Yelp
A unique small local business shopping experience that is sure to delight any shopper, family or group. It's the one place in Akron where coffee lovers like myself can meet to socialize with friends and family who enjoy adult beverages and enjoy a televised sporting event on probably the biggest digital screen in Akron!!! This place is awesome!! The concept of anchor stores drawing in customers who will then view the products and services of local start-up businesses is brilliant and a true example of loving your neighbors. The Northside Marketplace is an excellent place to meet with friends, relax, watch a game, and support local start-up businesses who offer a range of food and products that anyone will find appealing.

Yelp
My wife really enjoyed shopping here. It reminded me of the old Quaker Square for some reason. I strolled down to the CVSR station to check things out while she shopped . We're already planning our next visit.

Yelp
Wonderful place to shop local! So many small businesses with amazing products. Hard to pick just a few lol

David M.

Yelp
Beautiful art, very helpful staff, prompt service and a great range of prices! Hidden gem.

Yelp
This place is great! Have friends/family in from out of town and want to show them something cool and unique here in the ol' 330? Northside Marketplace should definitely be on your list. Across the street from Luigi's (another Akron must-do) and next to a cool restaurant and hotel, Northside Marketplace is a combination of shops and stores, with an ice cream stand and bar thrown in for good measure. The design is industrial but welcoming. It's a nice to come and wander around, and also to support local artisans / business owners. Plan on taking the time to explore and relax at one of the tables while you eat your ice cream.

Yelp
Northside Marketplace is a great spot to spend an afternoon - with friends or solo. They have plenty of local businesses to support with the cutest gifts/shopping, awesome food options, and a warm atmosphere. Glad something like this popped up in Akron - a must see!

Yelp
What a great hidden secret. A wide variety of local shops, a mix a great food vendors, and a wide open space to hang out and watch sports. This is a great addition to the city and I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Love that Akron has this place. Looking forward to see what other great concept rolls out of this place. Perfect spot for a little shopping and a bite to eat. Sunday Farmers Market is the best!

Yelp
Cool spot in my favorite downtown. My wife and I popped in before a hike on the towpath. They have different stall/shops with reasonably priced craft items and then some eateries. The place has a nice vibe and I look forward to coming back for an ice cream or coffee. I'm holding back on the fifth star as it felt like something was missing, an anchor or purpose to the place that made it relevant enough to survive in its current space. Check it out when downtown with some time or before eating at Luigi's.

Yelp
We drove 30 minutes to pick up cookies from a local vendor that is only sold here. Once we got checked out, our cards wouldn't work in the machine. They don't take cash apparently and multiple Visa cards that we tried did not work for the literal 10 dollar transaction. The woman, bless her kind heart, was on her third day of work so it's not her fault. But kind of ridiculous that the entry literally says they only accept cards and ours did not work. Now driving 30 minutes back home totally empty handed. Will not be back & will hope our local vendor sells elsewhere soon.

Yelp
Great concept but beer is overpriced!!!! But atmosphere is really laid back. Lots of different options in the place. Again great concept.

Yelp
North Akron's best kept secret. We went to the marketplace to try the rolled ice cream. We were surprised with all the things to do there. Very interesting local companies that I didn't even know exsisted. I definitely recommend visiting The northside marketplace
