Northside Nathan's Detroit Pizza

Many families develop traditions or fun things that become wonderful childhood memories with their kids. One of these traditions for us is eating the “square pizza” with my son at Northside Nathan's Detroit Pizza. This little spot on Lake Mead has become more than just a restaurant for us. It is a place woven into our story, a familiar stop that always brings smiles and full stomachs. One of the reasons I love coming here is that it is not a chain. That matters to me. I like knowing that when I spend my money, it is going to a small, locally owned business that pours its heart into what it does. Northside Nathan’s feels personal from the moment you walk in. The booths are rustic and a bit oversized, which actually adds to the charm. You do not feel crowded, and your conversations stay at your table instead of drifting to the next. The lighting is soft and muted, creating a cozy and relaxed environment that encourages you to stay a little longer. The decor is a nostalgic nod to Detroit and to classic sports culture. The walls are covered with memorabilia, jerseys, and vintage photographs that spark conversation and memories. There are a few old-school arcade games placed adjacent to the booths and flanking the entrance, which are always a hit with kids and anyone who remembers the joy of dropping a quarter into a machine. Toward the back, there is a surprisingly large bar area that feels like a hidden bonus for those who want to enjoy a cold beer or watch a game while they eat. Now let’s talk about the reason you come here: the pizza. True to Detroit style, it is baked in square pans, which gives the crust a caramelized edge that crackles with every bite. The dough is airy but sturdy enough to hold up to the generous portions of sauce, cheese, and toppings piled high on top. Each slice comes out piping hot, so take a second to let it cool or you might find yourself with a burnt tongue. The pepperoni is crispy at the edges, the sausage is savory and well-seasoned, and even the veggie toppings taste fresh and flavorful. Every bite tastes like care and craft. Our favorite is the Guys and Dolls. What I appreciate most is that nothing here feels rushed or commercial. The staff takes their time, the portions are hearty, and the quality is consistently excellent. Whether you are grabbing a casual lunch, sharing a meal with family, or meeting friends for a game night, Northside Nathan’s hits the mark every time. In a city known for over-the-top dining, Northside Nathan’s proves that comfort, tradition, and a perfectly baked square pizza can be every bit as memorable as any fine dining experience.

Never ordering again. Pizza very obviously fell on its side during delivery and all of the toppings slid down. Box was all greasy. Driver absolutely would have known but delivered it anyway. We called and were offered a refund as well as a new pizza, but then they called back and told us that it would just be one or the other. We took the refund. Zero service recovery. $40 for crap pizza and crap service.

Expected a bit more coming from Eaters best pizzas in Vegas. The pizza is just fine. The chicken parm sub actually wasn’t too bad I would possibly get that again. However Vegas has so many amazing pizza places It’s hard to really endorse :/

Very nice cozy atmosphere. They have 2 tv’s that you can watch. A cozy bar for 🍷. I love the music 🎶 that was playing. The service was amazing and kind. The food was so good and quickly served hot with right flavor!

I accidentally ran into this place looking for a New York style place to try. It was delicious, the people were friendly, and I loved the gritty atmosphere. Did I mention the pizza is really good?! I'll be back with family next time. We've been back a couple of times since my first review. Still delicious! We'll be back again and again!

This is by far the Worst pizza I’ve ever had…. Respectfully. It’s super dry with no taste for 32.00 Great customer service but they weren’t available after I picked up the food. All bc they were closed at 9pm not their fault.

I’ve been dining here sporadically since it opened, as I used to live just a mile away at Buffalo and Cheyenne for several years. Years later they thankfully opened a second location on W. Flamingo near Ft. Apache, but it unfortunately closed a few years back. But now and then I’ll make the longer trip and get some pizza and a salad. I’ve turned many friends onto this place, and for the money, they’ve got the best Detroit-style Buddy’s-style pizzas in town, even though others have popped up since. Last night was no exception, and I got a pepperoni and green pepper, with sauce on top (Buddy’s style). My only complaint would be this, and it’s a minor one. The lock on the stall door in the men’s room should be replaced, as it doesn’t even obviously look like one can lock it, and the graffiti should be removed (preferably quickly enough every time as to discourage any new graffiti). Other than that, it’s stellar. Keep up the great work. I’d also like to get a t-shirt and/or hat that was promised to me awhile back at the W. Flamingo location. I’d wear them proudly regularly and encourage new patrons for you.

Very good reasonable priced pizza with a good service

Stopped by to satisfy my craving for sicillian pie. The price is right, a six inch personal square pizza with crisp edges, but not burnt, and a flavorable sauce. They use fresh and flavorful toppings cut in manageable size chunks. Friendly staff and quick service, I was in and out in 30 minutes on my lunch break. Lots of detroit memorabiia adorns the walls. will come back when I crave the square

We have been coming to Nathan's Northside Pizza since 2003 and have always enjoyed it, but this was by far the worst service we have ever experienced. We called at 8:15 pm to see if we could still place an order and dine in. The person on the phone said yes, so we placed our order over the phone. We arrived at 8:20 pm and were met with two very rude servers, complete with eye rolling. We even overheard the cook asking one of them why she let us place an order. They do not close until 9 pm, so we were well within business hours. Later, while waiting for one of my sister's bucket wing orders, the server accused us of already receiving it, even though there were only three out of four tubs on the table. On top of that, the servers were speaking in Spanish about my family and rolling their eyes every time they brought food to our table, assuming we could not understand them. We actually finished all our food at 9:02 pm. At that point, my sister addressed how rude the service had been. The server did apologize but followed it up by saying we needed to understand that everyone had been there all day and was ready to go home. This is a place of business. If you close at 9 pm, then you close at 9 pm, not when you feel like it. Extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and disrespectful service.

If you are down for Detroit style pizza, this is your place! My family especially likes the thin crust and the homemade ranch is to die for!

Was in town visiting family and the kids wanted pizza. This spot was nearby so we decided to give them a try. Called in an order for several pizzas and wings. The place was pretty quiet when we walked in to pick up. Service was ok not amazing. Just wanted to pick up my order. When we asked for peppers and cheese, we got a weird look. A weirder look came when we asked for a bag so we can carry the huge wad of peppers and cheese. Got thumbs up from the kids on the pizza so we'll have to give this spot another try.

I just keep coming back anytime I'm in the area. That's gotta tell you something. I consider myself a NY thin slice pizza guy, and I am a pizza snob, but damn these Detroit style pizzas Northside Nathan's puts out are so tasty! It's just a must have every time I get my haircut nearby lol. Sauce = good, cheese = great, crust = awesome and tasty toppings. It's very consistent. They even have a small square lunch special with a coke under $10 bucks. The place is decent inside, feels more of a northeast coast vibe. Kudos to the pizza maker cooks though, they are doing it right. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Northside Nathan's has tasty deep dish pizza. It was our first time trying it and it was good. Inside the restaurant is reminiscent of a traditional sit down pizza joint that doesn't really exist much anymore, it felt nostalgic. I order a deep dish Guys and Dolls pizza and the antipasto salad. The pizza was great, the salad was just Meh. The Italian dressing was very oily but the homemade ranch was great. We will be back!

I got the Greek town and oh my goodness! I love pepperoncinis and feta cheese and this pizza had both!! The crust was incredible. Highly recommended.

Best pizza in town! Always fresh, always hot. Order the salad and the Adelaide deep dish with extra cheese and tell me you've had better pizza somewhere else...liar!

Haven't been to this place in awhile, was on my lunch break and decided to stop in and get a bite to eat. The line wasn't long there was 3 people in front of me. I decided to get something simple chicken finger and French fries. They have it set up as soon as you up your order in you get to choose which table you want to sit at. Most of the tables I saw were clean, but the floors did need to be swept at least.

This is one of my top pizza spots. My work orders are employee appreciation from here quite often. They have the absolute best ranch. Best fries and best deep dish pizza. They have a great pricing. If you dine in the service is always quick and very friendly. I love the decor And I always pop in here for an occasional lunch at least twice a month because it's not good they have really good salad. You definitely have to give them a try very flavorful.

I really wish I could leave this place a better review. But it's sort of the "Little Caesar's" of Detroit Pizza. It's...open...available...and less pricey than alternatives. But it's just not a great experience. I ordered for pickup and when I got there, the cashier was utterly confused by the idea of an online order for pickup. There was only one item in the "pickup section" and after scrunching up her face and staring at the computer screen for a few minutes, I had to beg her just to look at the order behind her and see it belonged to me. Even though I tipped, it was handed to me with a sour face and none of the utensils I requested. Upon eating it, the pizza is just serviceable - a little cardboard-ish in terms of crust but the toppings were ok. But overall this place kind of seems like it was lost in a weird time machine that was set for 1988. I just got a bad vibe here.

Service was fine. The lady at the counter was friendly enough. The food was mediocre at best. The quantity vs the price doesn't match. I never mind spending extra for a local business, but the quality and quantity need to be close to matching the price.

Acceptable pizza but it isn't Detroit style. It's deep dish without the crunchy crust, it's like regular dough/crust. Many things subpar in addition to misrepresenting it's Detroit style. I personally don't want to be forced to order B4 finding a seat. Unfamiliarity with menu made ordering less than desirable. The girl repeated my order 3x and the pizza still came with unwanted olives after a 30 min wait Picked off the 50+ olives with no offer of a bill adjustment or offer of dessert or beverage. When paying the bill, they expect a tip at the counter. If I have to stand to place my order, that's not a tipping situation. Pizza came with no plates or napkins without requesting. The pop machine didn't work properly and only had a few options. The place grades out at a 3 star without the misrepresentation.

Cool atmosphere, fast service and the food is decent. I love a crispy crust and harder bread style this Chicago deep dish is just right under my favorite style, still very good. The t bird big city club is great, except besides just the meat cheese and vegs it needs a sauce of some sorts I added mayo and mustard. The fries are average and overall this place is good, quick and clean.

I've been going there for well over a decade. Awesome pizza and wings!! You won't be disappointed.

FOOD MOOD: PIZZA Me and my husband have been coming here for over 10 years. I love this pizza place. It's the real deal deep dish pizza. You'll always crave love their buffalo chicken fingers with their Greek salad. It's amazing blue cheese dressing is good and the ranch is overly addicting! The service is always quick and they never seem to disappoint! Love the decor and the environment is great!

We often eat here and grab pinkbox donuts next door for dessert after eating the pizza! The service is fast and there was plenty of seating. The location was also clean, including the bathrooms. We get the cheese pizza and it tastes good. So we do recommend this location if you are in town. Ample parking too so easy to park and walk to eat!

Pizza was ready when we arrived. The cook was pulling it out of the oven when Hubby walked in, actually. We ordered the Sister Sarah with sausage. I normally order Sister Sarah with pepperoni but Hubby got his way this time. It was okay, not nearly as good as I remember. Of course, by the time we got home to Inspirada, it wasn't hot.

My bf introduced me to North side Nathan's and I can honestly say this place is definitely delicious. The service is great they're always so nice here and when your order is ready they bring it to the table. When you walk in there are some arcade games they seem like fun but I'm mostly here for the delicious pizza and wings. I know right now they are closed due to an incident but I can't wait till you open up again. The pizza is full of flavor and I love that the pepperoni is under and over the cheese so good i don't know what kind of cheese they use but it's so good gives the pizza a unique taste. Now the wings are top tier as well the meat just falls off the bone good!! Good quality food and the ambiance is welcoming my bf says it feels just like when he would go when he was a child. Keep up the great work and hope yall open up soon!

Best pizza place in Las Vegas truly a one of a kind with such amazing food the atmosphere is so unique and cozy

$8 and change for a 6 inch 2 topping pizza and a drink?! Now THAT's a lunch special. Delicious pizza? Now that was actually unexpected. Fresh and custom made, so the 15 minute wait is totally justified. Small restaurant, somehow they fit a gaming bar as well. All the decoration has to do with Detroit. Fun spot! If I'm around here for lunch again, I'll be certain to stop back in!

I've been coming here for years. Their chicken wings are amazing. Who doesn't love square pizza? People from Detroit... that's who!!! My boys love the spaghetti and meatballs (it definitely satisfies)!

Hit the spot! Had it delivered and it showed up on time. Staff were very helpful. Ordered a pepperoni and cheese pizza, as well as a salad. Not the best I've had but still decent. But we love a reliable pizza spot!

Not my favorite pizza pie but my kids love it. Fries are great with ranch. Good wings. Seats in the place need to be repaired. And drink options are lame.

I ate here a long time ago when they first opened, and I remembered enjoying it. I remember that it was a little pricey for what it was, but it was good. Mind you, I enjoy all pizza from everywhere for the most part. At least when it comes to style. New York, Chicago, Detroit, Roma, anything = yum! At least, assuming that the quality for that style is good there. Years later, I come back to try it again today. Staff was awesome, the place was clean, and the speed from ordering to getting my food was more than acceptable despite them having many orders they were working on. Overall, the experience when it comes to service was awesome. As for the pizza, I was surprised to realize I didn't quite enjoy that much. Once again, for the price it was a little bit expensive for what you get. This is because the pizza doesn't taste much different than something like a DiGiorno's. I hesitated using that comparison because it's kind of mean, but it was the most accurate in my experience. So if you were to get a DiGiorno's pizza that actually had real cheese (or at least better tasting cheese), I would think this is what it would taste like. For $20 for a medium pizza that's about 10 in or so in each direction, and regular crust, this felt a little expensive. Especially since a DiGiorno's pizza could cause you about $5 or so (honestly I haven't purchased a DiGiorno's in a long time, But I have ingested one time and time again at a friend's house over the years since that's the only thing they ever buy. This is why it is the first thing that comes to mind when I eat this pizza. It isn't terrible, but it wasn't what I remembered. So I have to say, it doesn't make my top anything list for any style of pizza in Las Vegas. For Detroit style or close to Detroit style, I still recommend things like Red Dwarf, which is kind of like a Detroit style mixed with a little Roma touch, and is incredibly difficult to put down once you start eating it. Those are the ones that really capture my heart. Especially when you're looking your prices like these. All of this being said, and as I mentioned, I remembered it being better than this. Maybe things have changed, or maybe I just had a odd experience this one time around. But from this point, I'd have to listen to the experience of friends to see if I'd be willing to come back.

My boyfriend found this place on Instagram and I'm very happy he did! One of the best deep dish pizzas I've had living in Vegas. And the best part is I don't have to drive to the strip for good pizza :) Plus their ranch is amazing! Place is very nice inside! And cashiers were helpful. Had to order a delivery for the whole office!

Absolutely a must try if you are a pizza fanatic like me Nathan's has been around ever since I can remember and Iv been here my whole life quality is always on point and never disappoints Detroit style is surely a fav!

Best deep dish pizza I've had in Vegas! Happy to have found them through instagram. I usually ignore ads but it looked too good not to try it! Got their 11" & wings. Their ranch is 10/10, highly recommend. Cashier was very helpful. Family friendly!

Are they permanently closed? We came there for a second time to find the door locked during their operating hours. Today we got there after noon, with the door locked and no lights on.

We missed you while you were closed for repairs. We were happy to hear you were finally opened up. We had an enjoyable pizza last night. It was as good as always. We noticed a few additions to the decor which added a nice touch. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. Glad y'all are back!!

Arrived on a Saturday. Walked in, there was one other party of 3 inside. No one else except the staff. I was not greeted. Viewed the menu above the cashier, asked if there were menus to look at while I picked a spot to sit. They have paper menus to the left of the cashier. Sat down glanced the menu, still no server. I waited 10 minutes found someone who worked there (with a set of earphones in their ears) and asked if I could order from the table. She replied yes. So I waited.... And waited and waited (during this time other customers were ordering food to go from the cashier). Finally the server who initially informed me that I could order from the table, let's me know that I need to order from the cashier. Nonetheless after 25 minutes of waiting around I deceived to take my business elsewhere. I will not return. No service, no customer.

Absolutely love this place!! We have tried a majority of the pizza places in the Upper NW side of Vegas, this is our favorite and go to . The flavor is on point, it's not greasy and their take on the Detroit deep dish suits me better than a huge fat slices that other places have. Their ranch is our favorite as well, definitely made in house. Wings are great non-greasy as well. Very fast and friendly service!

Had a large deep dish pizza. Was delicious. Quality ingredients. Thick crust but still crispy. Wings are the best in town. Flavorful and crispy. Travel all the way across town to enjoy. Friendly staff. Clean establishment. Never disappointed.

We got delivery, and were amazed that it was delivered 30 minutes prior to estimated time. The pizza arrived hot and super yummy! We can't wait to go the restaurant for dining in. The pic shows all that is left with only 2 eaters! Hungry eaters, that is. Highly recommended!

The pizza is delicious and they have one that you can get 3 different flavor combinations (up to 4 toppings each). The crust is thick and the pizza is rectangle shaped. I also ordered a spaghetti which was just fair. I've had worse but I've also had better The price is fair. I think this is my new favorite pizza place in town.

Ordered a 15 in pizza and it did not disappoint as far as one of the best pizzas I've had in quite some time time ,especially in the Las Vegas area , will definitely be going back !!

first time ordering here . THE SQUARE pizza for about $10 was small but that wasn't the issue pizza was tasteless, sauce was bland and they weren't using a quality Mozzarella . sad square of tasteless food , and in no way is this any resemblance to a Detroit pizza

Absolutely love this place! The food is great, the service has always been wonderful, and the 90s style Pizza Hut vibes are off the charts! Highly recommend to all the actual adults who can see you walk up to the window to order your food.

This is my families' go to for pizza. While I've never eaten inside to get a feel for the atmosphere, Northside Nathan's food is delicious. I usually go for thin crust, but all of their pizza is tasty. Fried food is ALWAYS crispy, never greasy. The service is very friendly and welcoming whenever I pickup my food. Never doubt your instinct if you're thinking about trying their food! (Try the ranch!)

The food is great don't get me wrong. My family came from out of town and we were introduced to this pizza place by brother in-law we loved it!. Not tonight! The stuff in the front taking our order was rude as hell and the stuff walking around turning off everything as guest were still eating not only myself but another guest said the same thing! I get that everyone wants to go home, I don't blame you but that was the worst customer service I have ever experienced there. I'm still a paying guest! The stuff was unprofessional. They were turning off the lights as a couple were still Eating at the table! Never have ever seen a restaurant do that well people are still eating! Turning off the lights! With no words to them at all! Lol! Like really what's 10 more minutes let them at least get a box to go!

WORST customer service ever. I ordered one day in advance to make sure my order goes thru. Ordered supposedly for New Yrs Eve celebration. Got a payment confirmation. Got another email confirmation the day of. Supposed to be delivered at 6pm. Started calling at 6:20pm - they hung up on me over 20 times. Tried contacting them through email and instagram account - no resolution. WORST EVER!!! Very incompetent, very unprofessional. Your business will suffer due to your INCOMPETENT workers. And knowing that you just reopened, you all should be very excited to serve your loyal customers, but NO! Sad.

OMG new favorite spot!!! 100% recommend this to everyone that loved pizza! Great spot to get away from the strip. Love the bar options and great customer service. Definitely coming back again

Bad service. I attempted to dine here today with another person, but to no luck as none of the staff would even acknowledge us despite two of them seeing us enter. I can't help but feel that maybe it was racially motivated. I guess they forgot to hang their "whites only" sign up.

Wings only! My review is just for the wings because someone told me that it had a nice crisp and flavor to them. I ordered the large Detroit Red Wings and at first it came out, I thought that the heat of the sauce was going to be overwhelming and powerful but it wasn't! It has a nice flavorful kick to the sauce but it is not super spicy hot to me. I most enjoyed the light airy crisp to the wings which makes it much different than the BWW type of naked wings. At times I love a little coating on them! I'd definitely recommend the wings!

Ive probably order a pizza from this place twice a month for the past three years! I am so happy to have such quality pizza just around the corner. Only recently I dined in on the bartop and had such a great time! Orders Yours Now! Definitely try the Ranch!
