Great place to go to get local treats. Fresh produce and dessert as well. I always get cookies and bread from Traffic Jam. Popcorn from Simply Irresistible and also pies fro.Sweet Potato Sensations. Everyone there is always friendly and pleasant. A great place to. Bring kids and pets. Also there is usually a food truck as well.

Always a blast. Music to accompany your shopping with/for local entrepreneurs products. Love the support this event lends to our young writers, crafters and cooks. There is always valuable community information sharing, too. 🥰 A delightful community gathering loaded with flavors of creativity, skillful talents and neighborly charm. Every Thursday 4pm to 8pm. Stop by Rosedale Park Community Center next Thursday, bring the fam.

My dogs go nuts for Samme’s Special Dog Treats. They are made fresh weekly by a local Autistic man who loves to talk to people in his neighborhood. Totally recommend them!

Yelp
Great little market on Detroit's Northwest side (in the church parking lot near the corner of the Southfield Fwy and Grand River). Has about 20 booths selling baked goods, organic vegetables, meats, coffee and cheeses. All locally grown and produced. It's a bright spot in a neighborhood that is currently struggling to maintain (I grew up just a few block away). I hope this market lasts. One note, this isn't cheap produce. You won't find super cheap stuff here, but if you're looking for quality and want to support a local Detroit collective, stop by and support the market. I bought some great coffee, chicken and some of the best tomatoes I've ever had the last time I was there. It's only open Thursdays from 4 - 8 pm, so plan accordingly if you want to support it. It's sponsored by the Grandmont-Rosedale Development Corporation (GRDC), a really great Northwest Detroit organization that is working hard to improve the area.

Yelp
I was in Detroit visiting and my friend took me to this market I am not much of a fresh fruits and veggies type of girl. More like McDonald's and KFC but with that being said one of the vendors were selling homemade peanut butter cookies OMG, they were literally the best cookies that I've EVER HAD! Ever since I have been begging my friend to Fedex me some but she refuses she claims that "she is helping me maintain my figure" Sadly, I am willing to trade my figure for those cookies, lol.

Yelp
Support local growers, artisans, and food producers at our NW farmers market. It's a great vibe with lots of friendly faces and fun for the whole family. I love to walk or bike to the market and hope that it continues to grow each year.
