Bought coffee beans and a spicy Mocha Fogo at Nossa Familia. This place was founded by a Brazilian immigrant that moved to Portland 20 years ago. Nossa Familia means “our family” in Portuguese.

Small, not really any food except some dry looking pastries and and toast. No smiles with pretty muted personalities at the register. I’ve had friendlier customer service from a vending machine. No sugar free flavors, but to coffee was good

Ok coffee, nice & quiet location. Got a cold brew and it was a tad on the bitter end. Can't say it was the best coffee I've drank. The shop is nice though! Very rustic looking and decent amount of seating when it's not busy.

Been twice and this is definitely going to become one of my go- to spots on the east side! The staff is super welcoming and awesome, they have some unique drink options, and their Matcha is amazing! It has a bright vibe with some plants, great decor, and a fair amount of seating. When it’s nice out the café opens up it’s rollup windows too. Definitely would recommend!

The coffee was very good and well crafted. The staff was friendly and the environment was welcoming. They had dairy free and sugar free options which is always a plus. Good place to study or do work but not very cozy. I would visit them again.

Definitely my only choice for coffee when I am in SE. I love Nossa on 3rd so much - fantastic coffee quality, always consistent, friendly folks who are a joy to start my day with. I love to just come in and quickly grab a cup, but its also a great place for me to get some work done. I don't go anywhere else these days. Keep doing what you are doing!

One of my favorite coffee shops! All the staff are so friendly and personable, the coffee and pastries are delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy and kind. I always recommend this Nossa specifically to those in the area. Shout out to Tara, Ricky, Arabelle, Splendora, Owen, and Danny! Best baristas ever

Came here to meet a friend and ordered Chai Latte and Spicy Cheese waffle and Avocado Toast with Cojitha and onion. The delivery was quick and the ambiance os cozy with plants all around. there's less seating so if it's full you may need to wait or do a takeout. Overall all the food and tea were amazing. I really enjoyed the spicy waffle that was unique and definitely lived up to the experience. Order it without fail.

Definitely one of the coffee gems of SE! Fun menu with unique specials... I tried the black sesame latte and it was a hit. I like that they include alternative milks without extra costs, but they do charge a small fee for cups to go. I like that the bathroom did not have a code for access and the atmosphere is clean and modern. Staff were friendly and attentive. No complaints. Most of the pastries were gone by the time I arrived around 11 AM. They do offer limited food menu. Plenty of street parking and it was nice not to have to pay since there are some free two hours zones just adjacent to the shop. I hear that their mochas are outstanding! I'm planning to try that next time I visit!

Nice Spanish coffee shop that has multiple locations in Portland. I went here for a Saturday coffee break and it was moderately busy, but drinks come out fast. We tried the mocha fogo adding the complimentary chocolate espresso whipped cream and the bee sting latte with complimentary vanilla whipped cream. Something with the whipped cream enhances the drink quite a bit, not to mention the drink itself is already satisfying. The mocha fogo has a bit of spicy kick to it, which makes it good for warmth especially in the winter time. Note that there's a 25 cent surcharge per cup if you get to-go, so for the future I'd dine in; only reason for to-go was we were in a time crunch to make it to another spot, but at least to-go still offers amazing presentation and you grab the lid afterwards

I love the ambience of this place, especially all the seating and the greenery inside I must say that today the two people that are manning this location are just fantastic. The customers keep coming in and they are so efficient with how they're working and very pleasant about it. !!! And the cheese waffle just hit the spot

I am a big Nossa Familia fan! Their coffee is so rich and smooth. You cannot go wrong with any coffee you order. I especially love the chocolate whip. I wish more cafes had flavored whips. I don't skip it when I come. Their staff was so helpful in helping me find a bag of coffee to take home. There was even a 35% discount on bags of coffee which was such a nice holiday surprise. I am trying the Nicaragua and so far I love it. I'm pretty sure they have a discount for bringing your own cup too. The interior is so cute and full of plant life. I will often make a special trip to come here.

Very cool place to grab your quick coffee. I stopped by here to pick up a coffee and was glad to see that they were open as the snow was starting to come down. I got the salted caramel latte with oat milk and it tastes exactly how it sounds. The shop is very clean and bright. I love all the plants they have hanging around. Drinks came out quickly. Parking here was street parking, but we went there was plenty of parking. They also sell coffee beans here as well as other items like mugs and filters. There space is also connected to another large open space so I could definitely see this place being great for getting some work done.

The customer service was great. I had the drip coffee with oat milk and a phenomenal vegan chocolate chip cookie. The seating area isn't huge, but it has enough. Multiple charging ports as well!

Wow...just got the bee-sting latte...it's FANTASTIC!! Not too sweet...and a little spicy. If you don't like it, it's prob best you not listen to my recs going forward.

10/10 My favorite coffee brand, among my favorite companies, definitely among my favorite hometown companies, and in particular my favorite location. I recommend a dark roast Matilde named after the family's grandma. It's my go to and only specific coffee I use and recommend. They started pao de queijo waffles (Brazilian cheese bread) and it's the real deal. Reminds me of some my good Brazilian friend used to make. They put my iced coffee in a double walled Nossa tumbler. How good is that? Beautiful interior with glorious sunlight, clean and aesthetic architecture in the industrial but renewed modern Taylor Electric building, access to pristine bathrooms and open space lounge, great interior greenery and design, and WiFi! You can't lose here. Oh and staff are always courteous and put you at ease. I am big fan of what this company and group of people are doing. And most importantly the product is dang good!

3 words Brazilian Cheese Waffle We tried both the regular and the spicy with the jam and WOWZA! I'll be craving these waffles till I can have them again! Coffee is delicious, we even bought a bag to go! I love that they sell fresh, whole beans and you can measure out how much you want! This is such an awesome coffee spot. I wish we lived closer. Service was awesome! Very personable and friendly. The place has plants everywhere and a lot of wood and metal! Very cool aesthetic!

This coffee is amazing! Portland has some really good coffee spots, and is known for it. But, this was my favorite. I am embarrassed it took me so long to give this place a try. It has a good vibe, and good service.

Really enjoyed visiting this little coffee shop! The baristas were friendly and it was a good place to get some work done. My cortado and avocado toast were delicious and for being under $13, with tip included, I have yet to find another quality coffee shop in Portland that's as affordable. With limited table and bar seating, the small shop has a tight layout and can fill relatively quickly. I sat at the central bar seating and my only complaint is the lack of outlets. If you plan on working here, I suggest charging your electronic devices before enjoying Nossa's yummy treats!

Great coffee shop on the walk to work, while here from out of town, after we walked across the bridge! Good coffee. We also got the cheese waffle (so good!) and the avocado toast ( it's big and delish!). Great way to start the morning. We'll be back!

THE hidden coffee gem in SE central Portland! While it's more in the "industrial" side of town, this location is quiet and not too busy, making it the perfect place to "work from home". On a Monday morning, there wasn't anyone seated in the cafe while I was there. They have bar seating and a few tables for your optimal working preference. Their background music isn't loud and provides nice background noise. The baristas were friendly and offered suggestions, and I went for one of their signature drinks, the mocha fogo, with complimentary house-made chocolate whip cream (delish!!) The drink was good! I thought it may be too sweet, but it was nicely balanced with the spices and dark chocolate. If you don't like spicy chocolate, this may not be for you, but it was unique and unlike any mochas I've had before. With free street parking, the cutest plant-filled cafe, don't pass up on Nossa next time you're looking for a caffeine fix!

I've had this place bookmarked for a while and I finally tried it yesterday and went back again this morning! Their pastries are great and they have vegan options but they also have their specialty coffees from the Nossa family. I got the full cycle beans which will be ground up freshly when I get home and I cannot wait to taste those chocolatey and caramel and fruity and fresh blends that it's so says in descriptive detail on the cover of the bag. All shily necesside this is truly a great place in the ambience and decor inside is pleasing to the eye and the ear with the chill music they're playing that you can do when it works space or just relax. And they also give you this wooden round token that gives you a free black coffee or you get two dollars off your next purchase if you choose not to use that token the same day so I'm definitely be using that next time I go.

This is a nice coffee shop in a beautiful building (I used to work there...RIP Simple!). The location has plenty of parking, and is close in. While the shop is not large, there are some good seats for using a laptop. And I was pleasantly surprised to see they were open on Saturday mornings (park nearby for a jog around the Willamette).

This cafe is a hidden gem! It has the perfect quiet atmosphere for a rainy Saturday morning coffee, and the food options all looked so good I had trouble deciding what to get. The latte was perfect and served in a cute cup, and the avo toast was on soughdough bread and topped with pickled radishes which made it extra savory! The staff was very nice, the cafe was clean and had an excessive amount of plants/succulents (which is a good thing), and it felt just hipster enough not to be pretentious. Will definitely go back to try the rest of the pastries and the other toast options!

They have bitchin beans and a really good mocha, doesn't taste all sweet and fake like most coffee shops, but real and good

Every time I come here I am impressed. The staff is friendly and ready to answer questions. They have great coffee and alternatives to coffee as well. I especially love their homemade vanilla and their oat milk just tasted creamier and more delicious. I love the vanilla matcha with oat milk. Come here for the coffee and leave with a smile from the service.

I had the Avocado Toast & Mocha Fogo (Fire Mocha)~ spicy mocha, local, artisan Creo chocolate with house made chocolate whipped cream. The avocado toast had citrus radishes that gave it a nice texture & flavor. The bread was thick, crusty on the edges but soft in the middle. The Mocha was excellent! Flavorful, not spicy like the name (at least to me). And the chocolate whip cream was amazing! So rich & creamy. I'll def be back to try more!

The Kindest Coffee in Portland! Such a great place. Very few places have I been so warmly welcomed as a new customer. They also have great coffee! As a newbie in the area working nearby, I was in search of a neighborhood coffee that would get my morning going. Low and behold a block away this little place opened right up to me. What I love here is that they keep it simple. Good rotating house blends with various light to dark roasts, a great selection of bagels, cookies, and yummy treats.......I see the way you look at me you almond croissant!!!!!!! They also have a pretty great selection of tea and I don't mean the little crumbles in the bleached tea bag. They do it right here, with various black and green varieties that are brewed for each cup giving you a full and densely packed cuppa! Service is the best here......really makes this place stand out. Warm, friendly smiles greet you every time.......and they truly make you feel like you're in the right place. I know I've found my place.....and I'll be around a lot more often. It's impeccably clean, sleekly designed, and there's plenty of seating, wi-fi, and 'catch up with a friend atmosphere'. Thanks so much Nossa......you've won over this reviewer. 5 stars without even thinking twice!

Ok, really these guys make the best coffee ON THE PLANET. Such a chill and easy vibe here, LOVE LOVE LOVE being able to stop by on a Saturday and start the whole weekend just right. Top pick - a simple 8oz latte (this makes everything right with the world). But everything is good plus luscious and unusual (but not gross unusual, surprise - WOW- unusual) pastries. Thanks for being open every day.

Nossa's is to die for. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And if you want to step out of the regular coffee treats, you'll be treated with mocha whip cream and winter recipes like the Mocha Fogo -- a spicy, Guatemalan take on a mocha. And now that they have moved from the pop-up to a more permanent home, you can get lost in the smell of a fresh roast and the bright tapestries and green plants. Best part is that it's never too crowded.Do yourself a favor and check this little spot out.

Love the ambiance, the service is at a stellar, the coffee is great and I love their B Corp sustainability practices! I also adore their Che easy bread! Highly recommend. They are also in supporting local!

Little pop up, had good experiences with them buying the beans, has a coupon for a BOGO in the Chinook book. Went in and grabbed a couple lattes, good, but not great. For full price I would pick another roaster, but a md/top tier place for sure.

Loved this coffee shop filled with beautiful plants and cute coffee cups. The shop is a hidden gem in the industrial area of Portland. The garage door was rolled up while I was there so it was nice and breezy. I liked that there was 2 hour free street parking. I had a hard time deciding between the açaí bowl and the matcha bowl, but I'm SO glad I went with the matcha bowl. It was amazing and refreshing on a hot day. The only downfall to this place was that the internet connection became glitchy when I tried to study outside. Other than that, loved the chill vibe of this place!

I've been to their main roaster, other locations that use their coffee, and DAMN it's good. This new pop-up is so good. Don't listen to the silly fake reviewers that talk about no parking! How the heck are they supposed to fix that! If you want a great cup of coffee, served with kindness, from one of the best coffee brands in Portland. Go there. You'll love it. I promise.

nothing but good vibes and good coffee comin from here. Took the home brewing class and Androo taught me how to make a KILLER french press. Sam (The Manager) Is so kind and and took me to flavor town by having me try the ALWAYS vegan soup that they carry. Wow wow wow i will forsure be coming back.

here is why this place is super great. Fantastic décor, welcoming service, good prices (some shops charge to much for extars and adds), proper music volume, not too loud. Now the coffee is superb, Nossa familia are known for their roast and here you get many variety on the menu, 3 for espresso, 1-2 for pour over and 1-2 for brew if if am recalling correctly. All their barista and serious at what they do, but one stood out like a champ, Asian American Shasha is the real deal, I watched her prepare the pulls, I am a connoisseur at both flavor, techniques and style , it her was precision, art and sharp attention that pulled top notch espresso. The place features an outside patio with umbrellas, wide glass view, and an access to the lobby of the building with high ceiling, high end modern furniture, leather tufted couch, oak coffee tables, I mean this place is wonderful. we love it :)

Just stopped by your clay street location today and it was awesome.. Emily and Izzy made our order perfect. Rob, candance and Danny entertained me and my kids while I was there with a coffee tasting. I felt like it was my birthday.. I love this place!!!

This is a lovely coffee shop. I tried their fall latte and it was fabulous! The free vanilla spiced whipped cream on top is delicious. There is a variety of seating available and the staff are friendly and knowledgable.

Not impressed. Today the wifi wasn't working, they were out of half and half, and the staff stood around gossiping behind the counter instead of cleaning the tables and floor that were covered in crumbs and other grossness. Plus, it's extremely hard to find parking in this area during the business week. No thanks.

I come here for a nice cup of coffee and nice convos with the staff. The food has always been fresh and good too though I usually opt for a pastry from the case since those always look so tasty. I can always find a spot to sit. Good for groups of 4 or less when you're finding a spot within the cafe.

Amazing espresso, these baristas really know their stuff! Plus the croissants from Pearl bakery are to die for, and my partner really enjoyed his bagel with vegan cream cheese. We will definitely be back!

The coffee shop was recommended to us by Rex Hill Winery. Great recommendation for the service and coffee. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The coffee was outstanding. Next time I am in Portland I will back for more of their coffee, especially their mocha.

I like there new location, even though it's temporary until they open next door it's a great location for me. The espresso is great as always and some of the friendliest baristas in the city.

Good coffee, wifi password is same as name, but all lowercase. I had a cookie, it was good. The music is something I've never heard of before, also a good thing. I'll come back here , it's only 2 blocks from Pascal hackerspace, and kinda close to Freegeek. My 2 favorite spots

What a great coffee shop! The coffee here is amazing. The coffee is a lighter roast than some other coffee roasters and you can really taste the flavors. Glad to give this new location a try and happy I did.

Great great coffee. Great great coffee!! Best I know so far. Love the coffee. Nossa does some great coffee in a dynamic coffee town. Probably my favorite cup is from this place. I will ask any of you to get a latte or mocha from these guys. Pearl district store is my fav.
