Holy moly. How have we not been to this place sooner?! Had an absolutely amazing vegan caramel latte and marionberry poptart - both my husband and I loved everything, and the prices felt on point! Excellent bang Totally plan on being back with our friends and families! Can't wait to come back and try the Brazilian Cheese Waffles 😋 Staff was super duper friendly, the vibes were immaculate as they say. Came at about 3:30 in the afternoon and we were the only ones there, street parking was not difficult to find.

I have to say Nossa is probably one of my favorite roasters in Portland. They seem to really know all about coffee. Another thing that I really appreciate is that their coffee prices are very reasonable and are slightly below average but the taste is well above average. I got a spiced Mexican Mocha with Chile powder. It was amazing! The staff was very friendly and they seemed like they wanted to connect with there customers. I also appreciate this. This particular location is not suited to work on a laptop and work. It is more of a location to get a coffee and either drink it outside or on their small bar. I would assume that this would be an amazing cafe to visit in the summer months.

Living and working in the pearl comes with a unique set of issues, finding a good coffee shop however, is not one of them. Nossa Familia is an established Portland brand that makes great coffee, is down to earth, and promotes responsible farming practices. This little shop in the pearl reflects that pretty well. The staff is always humble and helpful, the little patio is great for a sunny afternoon, and again the coffee is delicious. Wouldn’t go out of my way for a visit, but is my preferred choice when in the area.

I drive from Tigard to downtown, just for the best Soy latte I’ve ever had! (And I’ve been to all continents except for Antarctica 😎) I’ve been a loyal customer for over 4 years.

Great coffee spot (take out only). I’ve had a Cortadito, Matcha Latte tea and Mocha Fogo on different occasions and all were excellent. Great service and the price is right. I also had their pao de queijo (cheese) 🧀 waffle 🧇 and it was rich and delicious.

Great spot, love the plants integrated within the interior. I ordered a military matcha and it was very good. The staff is nice and friendly. You can seat i side, on the patio or upstairs.

Really well designed place with cool, extra casual atmosphere. Observe Hipsters in their natural habitat while enjoying your espresso with acqua frizzante, served just like in Milano! Coffee is on the sour side, so opt for a darker roast if you're not into that recent trend. There's a second floor where one can sit to enjoy one's beverage uninterrupted by the transients, ubiquitous in this area. Altogether an enjoyable little coffee shop but we liked Umbria (a few blocks to the west) more.

We have actually never been to the coffee shop, but we have been ordering coffee through their subscription service for years, and it is amazing! We served this coffee at our daughter's wedding! Their coffee is truly outstanding, and their love for people and making this planet a better place is evident in how they treat you and how they treat their employees!

We ordered mocha fogo with an add shot. The barista said they pull double shots so it was a quad shot, and it did not disappoint! The slight heat from the chili with the rich texture of the mocha was so perfect. The beans they have here are phenomenal! I am a native Californian who likes strong coffee, and this place will be on my "must have" list when I am in Oregon! Nossa you do coffee right! (Insert heart emoji here)

Cute little spot with a very welcoming and friendly staff. The guys were really nice and suggested some spots to check out since we aren't from around here. I ordered the Bee Sting Latte and my girlfriend got the Mocha Fogo, both were really good. I've personally never had coffee with these flavors, definitely a place that stands out to me.

I have to give this store five stars based on the trifecta experience: coffee quality + adorable, but small store + friendly and extremely helpful baristas. Coffee: I have been reading about the Nissan Familia coffee and the reviews have been great. If I remember correctly, I first learned about them because I was actually looking for a place to get great hot chocolate. The depth of reviews on their hot coco white homemade espresso chocolate whipped cream caught my eye, but I was lured in today because we were relatively close while running errands and I wanted to try a new coffee shop for a mid afternoon pick me up. + Service: We let the two woman know when we stopped in today that we had read reviews but this was our first time into the coffee shop. I asked if they could make a recommendation. They were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to ask questions to understand what flavor styles might be a good match for our taste buds. Talk about personalization and time to please the customer! We started with two espressos to get a real taste of the flavor of the coffee. The woman recommended we take a sip, no cream, to get the robust fruit forward flavor. I then followed up with a large Bee Sting Latte. WOW - at first I was taken back by the flavor; spicy! It had both cardamon and cayenne in it, but not sure the ratio and I believe there was one additional spice in it as well. It was a bit strong, but I found that the more I sipped on it, the more and more I enjoyed it. So you may ask ..... what is a Bee Sting Latte? A honey & spice latte, made with local GloryBee honey and their Fogo spice blend. My husband purchased a drip - with more of a fruit forward blend. He added a bit of cream and sugar and really enjoyed it. + Ambiance: it's small, but there are a few seats at a counter by a roll up door. It was cold outside today, so the roll up door was closed, but it made for a nice seat and a great spot to watch what was going on outside. It was comfortable and cozy, nice array of plants and good use of space. They also incorporated art work as well as using their own coffee and merchandise in a creative decorative way. Next time I am coming back for that hot coco and homemade whipped cream, which is what originally caught my attention as to why I wanted to stop by here. Their website describes their house-made espresso chocolate whipped cream as follows..."No description needed - it's all in the title! This stuff is chocolate, creamy, coff-yea gold! Made with decaf espresso for no extra buzz. Whipped cream is also available vegan."

Such a cute place the 2 baristas were so helpful to ordering and suggesting drinks I got the spicy one I forgot what it was called but it was delicious!!! Customer service A1 seating upstairs and outside. !

Perfect blend of an Italian cafe vibes, American service, and serious dedication to the beans. Rusty made our trip amazing, explaining all the offerings while juggling 3-4 orders at a time. Awesome to talk to people so dedicated to the craft of coffee and keeping this beautiful slice of the Pearl humming.

Drinks were alright. Cute coffee shop, and probably convenient for nearby businesses to get a drink to go. SMALL (micro) area to seat for 1-2 people. We meandered upstairs and sat on a couch outside closed businesses. Wasn't the ambiance we were looking for.

Drinks: - I got the iced matcha latte with oatmilk, the matcha was well balanced it wasn't too bitter or too sweet. It was just right as Goldilocks would say - My partner got an iced lavender matcha latte with oatmilk, if you want something sweeter this is the one to get. It had a subtle floral aroma to it from the lavender. It was seriously good, highly recommend Food: N/A Ambience: - The cubic structure with the plants is iconic - The space is a little small. I think there's upstairs seating but I haven't seen it - The decor and lighting is quite aesthetically pleasing, I can't quite explain what kind of vibes it gives off you kinda have to just go to know Overall: Please make the lavender matcha latte a permanent thing. I think it's only seasonal it was so good.

Had to edit this review. Got the mocha fogo today, 8/13, and asked for whipped cream when I ordered my drink at the register. As usual, they forgot. I asked for the whipped cream upon receiving my drink and forgot to take a sip out of the cup before asking. Well, the guy poured about an inch off the top and loaded it with whipped cream on top seemingly out of annoyance. We all know that much whip is highly unnecessary. Thanks, but I won't be back for a while. Originial review: I've only ever gotten their mocha fogo, so I can only speak to that. The drink ranges from "great" to "ehh" depending on who makes it, which is annoying. Isn't the recipe standardized? Their pastries always look good, but whenever I ask any employee what something is in the pastry case, specifically if it isn't obvious, they never know. Anyways, decent coffee usually. Try their house made whip - delicious!

Love the vibe of this place and the coffee too! The fogo powder was delicious. Great location and the whole experience was great. The staff were really friendly and explained their custom flavors in pretty detail. Love the plants all around. Overall a great experience and would definitely come back

We were recommended this spot by a friend who'd previously lived in Portland. As a couple, we consume a LOT of coffee, so we were really excited to try Nossa out. As other reviews have mentioned, the coffee shop entrance is not super obvious. But for those who are facing the supermarket on Lovejoy, it is attached to the market through a double glassdoor to the right. Inside, the cafe is beautiful. There is no seating at the moment but there are plenty of beautiful houseplants to peruse while you wait for your drinks. The baristas were super friendly and conversational, they were also happy to offer recommendations for beans, which we eagerly took. We ended up trying two different espressos, and we loved the Full Cycle! It was flavorful but not too bold or too bitter. Anyway, we ended up leaving with more bags of beans than expected, and even got a free latte to go with them! They are pup friendly, and even gave ours a treat!

Hands down the #1 coffee house in the US. I have tried them all and by far this place changed the game for me. Stumptown, overrated. The first time I went here i walked behind the register to hug the hippie nose ring guy, much to his shock. I almost cried telling him this was the best cappuccino of my life. I still dream of that first sip. I get their Full Cycle delivered monthly for my espresso machine daily grind. RIP Portland. You have been overrun by the mob. But I will continue to order your beans through the mail and enjoy you daily.

As a certified caffeine addict (see also: junkie), trying out local coffee shops is one of my favorite ways to explore a new city. Currently, I'm spending a week visiting Portland and getting my fix from multiple cafes daily - Nossa Familia has been my favorite hands down. I tried the Bee Sting Latte, which incorporates elements of honey, cardamom, cinnamon, and (I believe) a hint of cayenne pepper. The result was a warm, sweet, foamy cup of goodness that had just the gentlest kick at the tail end. "Bee Sting" may be too strong for what this was - a Bee Kiss might be more apt. Regardless, it's one of the best lattes I've ever had. I'll see you guys again tomorrow.

Tiny Nossa spot, staff was kind and helpful. I was aiming for a classic Latte or the featured Lavender Matcha, ended up choosing the Bee Sting Latte - Honey and spice and everything nice!

Cute little place but there's basically no seating; not a place to cozy up with a book. This is a to-go coffee shop but really I don't think it's that good for the price. The aesthetic are modern and slick but doesn't feel like much of a coffee shop.

Enjoyed how open and green this place was! Also really liked the unique merchandise (snagged a mug). Really enjoyed the iced latte... not too much seating by the cashier/drink area but if you go upstairs, there's a small lobby area.

amazing experience today. both the baristas were absolutely amazing and conversational. i got the mocha fogo and OHEMGEE it was sooooooooo good. the perfect amount of spices and chocolate. i've never had a drink quite like it. def will be back to try other drinks!

TL;DR : Gosh I love it here. I can only echo all the other fantastic reviews of this location and business: Fantastic coffee, high quality, wonderful storefront, amazing staff, and small business joy. Coffee - 10/10. High quality, tastes great, tons of options and bags you can buy in store! Staff - 20000 / 10. They are so friendly and kind. I told them the flavor I was trying to get, but wasn't sure how to order. Not only were they very kind in explaining what it was I was trying to order, they nailed it and went beyond expectations in trying to help. Thank you!! Store - How can you not love it here. There's a "little library" for coffee cups!! I can't wait to buy more coffee here and become a regular.

One of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. People working there are super nice and coffee was just perfect. We also tried gluten free cheese waffles, they were amazing and fresh. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed :)

Great little spot. I decided on just vegging their vegan salted caramel iced coffee and it was delicious. The service was great, too. I recommend coming here!

Got a good deal on green coffee beans which I'm looking forward to home roasting soon. Had to go to the main office on St. Helens Rd. So used it as an excuse to hike in Forest Park.

This place is amazing. I'm out here for work and I've been walking here every morning and everything I've had is great. You can feel the love from drinking the perfectly curated drinks. The staff is so friendly and give you a homey feeling when you walk in. They sell the vegan caramel sauce they use for the drink and it is soo good!!!!! Recommend. Matthew and Jess were so nice as well. Big shout out to them.

The coffee and the service are so good, I drive from Tigard just to get my "Soy Cappuccino"!! I don't know how or what, why or where, but the coffee is very tasty and the way they make the foam!! It's frothy, fluffy, like a cloud in your mouth!!?? (Did I just write that?? LOL ) (I'll get some photos today when I go in a bit)

Spicy mocha was unique and delicious. Rose Cardamon was beautiful and light- glad I went with that.

Decided to come here after having little chickpea and it was a good call! The ice mocha was super good. The mocha had really good aroma and depth of flavor. Not too sweet and could tell that good cocoa was used. Highly recommend.

Nossa is a FIRST CLASS COMPANY! Been ordering their Uncle Teo and Full Cycle for the last year for use in my French Press and forty five year old Cremina 67 and the results have been excellent across the board. Their customer service is also excellent and the communication with them has been exceptional. Keep up the good roasting and service and I will continue to order here in Denver.

My favorite coffee place on the planet earth. Yes. This is not an understatement. When I'm visiting my PDX place I go here every single morning to start my day the right way. A mocha with extra whipped cream that puts all other mochas to shame! Seriously, the chocolate whipped cream is worth the extra calories and will give you good luck for at least 18 hours after consuming. It is scientific fact. I sometimes go upstairs to mooch WiFi and totally not listen in on other people's conversations... so talk away... leave no juicy detail unsaid....that loner with a mile high pile of whipped cream on her mocha isn't listening in ....no sir! Basically, this is the only place I've ever completed one of those frequent buyer cards. It's that good! Go!

Stopped by here for a coffee while I was in the area. I saw it was listed as one of the best coffee spots in Portland. I got a simple latte and it was good. They had some items for purchase as well, t-shirts, matcha, mugs, etc. The coffee shop was decorated with some cute holiday decor. Positive coffee experience, it was good, wouldn't say it's the best coffee in Portland.

Mocha Fogo was superb - a little spicy but balanced by the right amount of sweetness. Not Mexican hot chocolate but the drink embraced spice in a similar complementary way. Many benches and seating nearby too!

Really great coffee. Taking away one star because they forgot about my order. They got distracted when a bunch of locals came in. They made it when I spoke up. The coffee was absolutely delish though :)

It is a new location in the Pearl by Office Max, across from Safeway. The old location a block away will be demolished and probably another high rise in the making. But be sure to make time for the new Nossa coffee spot. Good vibe! Coffee from South & Central America or Kenya. Today I slurped a dupio after a big Italian lunch. I loved the almond robust notes of a well-balanced Rex Hill roast, aged in Pinot Noir wine barrels. Aged in wine barrels! Cool & innovative! How about the sound of that? How about drop in and give a taste for yourself. By summer they plan to expand outside on the patio. Already have a big roll-up door --- big time spring / summer hit!

Best decaf ever!! This place is too notch! B Corp and proud of it. They have my support. The subscription is handy and convenient.

My hankering for morning coffee wasn't just satisfied. This drink was so good it raised my coffee standards. I searched 'nossa' out of curiosity and the translation was 'wow'. Befitting.

Nossa Familia is one of my favorite coffee shops in Portland. It is my favorite because they consistently serve up a delicious, well-executed cappuccino. The staff here are friendly and this location is a bit hard to find unless you are looking for it. It's tucked into a corner of a building. After all my visits here, it was only recently that I learned they also have a few seats upstairs. The downstairs is a bit small with some seats by the window and outdoor tables. I suggest also trying one of the cheese waffles. It's worth the calorie splurge.

I have had their coffee a couple times before but never got down to reviewing them. The coffee is praiseworthy and I love that they have options of different roasts , which is a contrast to various other coffee shops in the area that don't bother asking you about your preferences. The seating is limited but the ambiance is welcoming and there is space outside . The Barista`s are friendly and give attention to all your requests .

I'm allowed to love two coffee shops equally, it's Portland. And this is one of them. Why do I love thee? Easy. The quality of the coffee and the friendliness of the baristas. On the caffeine front, my go-to is usually a simple drip dark roast. When I'm feeling fancy, I pick a specialty coffee from the blackboard. They change frequently and are always inventive and delicious. On the barista front, everyone who works there is awesome. You never feel rushed. They know your name and your drink. They're also super dog friendly. They actually taught our dog how to shake. Coffee and dog tricks - how could you not go here?

Your coffee made it to our Bay Area Peet's drinking home by our Portland residing family member. We have been enjoying your full cycle beans. It is delightful. I was in Portland for a short vacation and planned to stop by Nossa because their mocha looked great (from pictures & reviews)! My boyfriend and I both got the mocha with the chocolate whip and were blown away! It was the best mocha we ever had and one of the best decisions we made. It is a very small coffee shop with plenty of outdoor seating. The girl that was helping us out told us they had a location in DTLA which we didn't know! We were super excited to know that we could go without coming all the way to Portland! Please do yourself a favor and try the mocha with the chocolate whip!!

Still the best tasting coffee in the Pearl. Strong, not bitter, with depth of flavor. I love the latte, and a big cup of straight up java with a little cream never disappoints. Since the coffee counter has moved to this space I find I miss looking in on the roasting and bags of beans. I loved the aroma of the warehouse. But the creative new space, with hanging plants and little features that make it appealing, always leaves me feeling like this is my place. The staff are a big part of that - friendly and sincere. Good people. Dont forget to use your Yelp buy one get one check in offer!

Nice coffee place with outdoor seating. We checked into yelp and got a drink (of equal or lesser value) free! I got a mocha latte and my husband got a cappuccino. Both were good, but the servings were very small. The whip cream on my mocha was chocolate. It was delicious but looked a gross...if you know what I mean.

Went to nossa família coffee for a yelp event(which was GREAT) btw! The place is too awesome, it's a coffee's fanatic paradise, the smell is amaaaaaaaaazing! Oh god I can stay there for hours, the event tonight was filled with fun and some of the best coffee out there! Talk about flavoooooooor oh yeah seriously good coffee Also had carcaras tea and that also was great! Had never been to this place and ve never been to it under its normal operations, but you know that it must be great. Thanks for a great night of great chatting with new peeps and delish coffee along with some tasty ceviche! If you're looking for a real cha tea full of flavor this coffee place is it! I've tried many different cha teas around Portland but none compare to Nossa plus their mission and goal as company is why I also continue to stop by. Viva Nossa Familia

Oh wow! There is a reason for the wait in line. This coffee is soooooo good! The latte is the best in town. They really have something special going on here. The prices for bags of coffee to go can be a little expensive ($14-$18) but it's okay the splurge on some good coffee once in a while right?! Give yourself a treat and try Nossa!

I like to visit here after my dentist appts and today I tried the Bee Sting, I think that is what it was called? Anyhoo, it was amazing. Thank you to the barista who suggested it this morning. Everyone has always been so helpful, welcoming, and patient with me as an indecisive person. I'll try to visit more than every 6 months.
