This stylish spot was so welcoming and warm. We popped in for an after work drink and they had a great happy hour. It was super chill on a weeknight but told it draws a good crowd on weekends (especially for boozy brunch!). I'm not impressed easily when it comes to food and was very pleased with the menu. I can't wait to try their brunch!

Happy hour drinks and menu were DELICIOUS🙌🏽😌 S/O to Kevin the bartender I drank a few guava glow’s and forbidden jewel’s then had some oxtail sliders and Thai chili wings. The sliders were good and the meat was tender I just wish it had a more authentic Caribbean oxtail taste. Wings was bussin too

Came in on Sunday afternoon for some drinks and bites. We got the Wagyu and Chicken sliders. Wagyu sliders were 10/10, it was tender and had so much flavor. We thought that the chicken sliders were good, the chicken was fried well and it was juicy, but we thought it lacked a little flavor. Maybe more seasoning on the chicken or make the aioli a bit more flavorful. Our drinks are Now You Nosso, Smashski, and Melas Beles (in order clockwise from lychee drink). They were all super refreshing and delicious. If you want great food/drinks, good music, and friendly neighborhood vibes then definitely check out Nosso!

Great place for couples or a group of friends having a night out, the food was delicious, didn't have any drinks but I'm sure they are good! 👍🏽 👍🏽

Slick but cozy new spot with great vibes. Three screens for live sports, nice selection of appetizers and sliders, good drink specials. The bartenders here are an absolute highlight - welcoming, enthusiastic, and cheerful. Themed music nights with a live DJ on many Saturdays, rivia on some Thursdays - check the Instagram - and a packed calendar of other events. Highly recommended.

Such a nice place! It’s black owned and the food is amazing. I had the wagyu sliders and fries, as well as the Thai chili wings which were to die for. Highly recommend for anyone in the area whether it be to watch a sports game, or listen to some music with their in house DJs on the weekend. Highly recommend!

I got the chicken and plantain waffles: wow. The flavors were incredible. Fresh fruit and wonderfully seasoned chicken. Cocktails were also delicious. We were the first ones so it was a bit slow as they fired up the grill but music definitely helped to remind us that it was Sunday and to relax.

Black owned restaurants! I had a chance to check out NOSSO last night when I met my family, my siblings there for appetizers and drinks. I was able to park right out front. I walked in to ample seating on the ground level. I was able to scan and see the menus and quickly able to get an order in and included chicken wings without the sauce. Oxtail sliders and brussels sprouts. They had a DJ go on the club was busy but the service was excellent. They bought our food out and the drinks and everything was good. I had to say this was in place with a nice vibe in downtown Oakland. I would recommend NOSSO if you're looking to go out no fuss great food and drinks nice bartenders and a great DJ !

Great spot for anyone in their 20s to mid 30s looking for a fun, easygoing vibe. The atmosphere was relaxed, which made it a nice place to unwind on a Friday. Service was on the lighter side, but the staff was friendly. The food overall was decent. A few dishes leaned salty, although the sliders stood out and were genuinely good. A solid option if you are looking for a casual night out with good energy.

It's always a vibe at Nosso , special shoutout to our bartender for the night Ramon . He was on top of it . Drinks were delicious . The food was great .

We went to Nosso for some chill vibes to get out of the house and it didn't disappoint. We've been fans of Chef Yann from the pop-ups, so when we realized this was where he landed, we knew we were in for a treat. We started with a couple of the cocktail specials, and they were excellent. The bartenders were quick and attentive, and since we grabbed seats at the bar, service was smooth and fast. For food, we ordered the oxtail sliders first. They were tender and packed with flavor. Personally, I would've loved a little extra tang to balance the richness, but overall, the sliders were still delicious and well-executed. They also were accompanied by fries which were cooked fine but the seasoning was a bit too spicy for me. We also tried the steak sandwich after hearing it was a new menu item that had already become a favorite. There was a bit of a wait (around 20-30 minutes), likely from some miscommunication, but honestly, it was worth it. The steak was tender, cooked just right, and full of flavor. The mayo added the perfect creaminess, and the toasted bread held everything together without being overly crunchy or cutting the roof of your mouth -- a thoughtful detail that stood out. All in all, Nosso delivered exactly what we hoped for: good vibes, solid cocktails, and memorable dishes. We'll definitely be back -- Chef Yann never misses.

We needed a bite before the show and dipped in. Chill vibe, nice music, tv was replaying the NBA finals, would've preferred something live/relevant. The entrance was open w/a brisk breeze in tow... Service 3.5outta5 We seated ourselves, server provided menus. It wasn't bad but a lil more attentiveness would've been appreciated. At one point I looked a male server in the eye and motioned for assistance, he ignored me. Drinks 3.5outta5 They weren't bad. I would've preferred more lychee syrup in mine but it served its purpose. Wings 4outta5 They tasted great. Salmon slider 4outta5 She loved them. Salmon's a challenge for me. I prefer it loaded w/seasoning. It wasn't bad, just lacked flavor imo. Chicken sliders 4.5outta5 Chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly, bun was soft; my only gripe was the slaw. There was no crunch to it making for a soggy bite. It was good otherwise. All in all we enjoyed ourselves. #GoTaste&See

Love Nosso!! Cocktails are consistent! Good vibes and the food is ! I LOVE the oxtail sliders (best oxtail sliders in downtown Oakland)!! You also can't go wrong with the wings!! I'm a lemon pepper person so that would be my go to if I was deciding on a flavor but I haven't had a bad flavor here. For cocktails, I personally love the Now you Nosso and the Sangria. If you're a gin drinker I'm told the Blush Hour is also great!!

The Chan Chan cocktail is a must-try--balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. * Tapas? Flawless. I highly recommend: * The Pinchos - perfectly grilled and seasoned, great texture and flavor. * Jerk Gamba - bold jerk seasoning with a rich tomato sauce, bursting with flavor. * Crispy Goat Cheese - citrusy, creamy, and deliciously crunchy. Plus, shoutout to their holiday drinks--they actually had Coquito, which was such a nice surprise and super well done! If you love great cocktails, thoughtfully executed small plates, and a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere, Nosso should be at the top of your list. I'll definitely be back!

Came here for Sunday brunch and was genuinely impressed. The music and overall vibe were on point lively, fun, and exactly what you'd want for a weekend outing. On top of that, the food selection was excellent. I had never tried oxtail sliders before, but they ended up being some of the best sliders I've ever had tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The rest of the menu looked just as tempting. Service was also great friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely planning to come back!

I love Nosso. I started coming during restaurant week and was able to try a variety of foods. This bar is perfect for after work, and late night vibes. The service is great, and the atmosphere is chill. However, they keep changing the menu :( please bring back the Mac and cheese balls and chicken sliders!! They were the best thing in the menu in my opinion.

Visited on a Thursday after happy hour, and there was a decent amount of people. After my experience, I can see why. I tried their oxtail and wagyu sliders. A little pricey, but so good. A little larger than most sliders which I liked, and had a good amount of meat in both. A lot of flavor and cheese too. I preferred the oxtail since it was more tender. There also was a don julio event happening with free shots with a purchase of a don drink or shot.

Came in for opening night-- got there early so the wait wasn't bad. The bar is up a small flight of stairs with seating along the right edges. Overall, a pretty good experience. The drinks were good, although a bit difficult to catch the bartenders' attention, which is expected opening night. The music... a lot of Drake and throwbacks so if you're a fan then this place is for you, though I'm pretty sure they switch it up once in a while. The only thing that I didn't like were the lack of bathrooms. For a crowd of this magnitude, two bathrooms was rough.

I've been here a couple of times, late night on a Friday/Saturday. It is a bar with somewhat of a club vibe that plays hip-hop and R&B. There is almost always a good number of people, but never overly crowded. No line or cover to get in. Their drinks are nicely balanced, they make a great pornstar martini. I came on a Wednesday evening for a special event and finally tried their food! The wagyu slides are DELICIOUS! So much gruyere cheese, just the right amount of sauce, tender, get these sliders!

We stopped here after a recommendation & upon arrival it just opened. s/o to Shani who was an excellent hostess/server. She welcomed us, gave us information on the business, recommended food, and made us specialty cocktails. I loved my spicy Cadillac. Great customer service! We ordered various items and shared it all. I had salmon sliders with jerk sauce. Sauce came separate on the side but it's a hit. Also tried the oxtail slider which was good. The Mac bites were great but only 4 as an add on. They played throwback r&b to vibe to. Overall, a nice place to mingle in Oakland.

I've been here a few times, mostly at night to go out. I love the location in Old Oakland. Super cute bar and has a club vibe late at night, esp if there's a DJ. Recently went during the day to try the food and thought it was just ok. The mac n cheese lacked salt and felt oil. The popcorn chicken was very average and was a small portion. Loaded fries were delicious - the meat was so good. Felt pricey for what we got as well. I would recommend coming here later at night if you want to enjoy the bar but skip the food.

Food is 10/10. Bartenders are sweet and make some of the best cocktails I've had. Their signature drink "Now You Nosso" is my fav (basically a lychee martini). It is so pretty everywhere, even (especially) on your way to the bathroom. If you are celebrating a birthday be sure to reserve your table and claim it early, because it gets crowded!

Where do I even begin.... Food delicious and vibes are immaculate! Can't remember the last time I went out in Oakland where I felt safe and actually had fun. Nosso has it all, down from the hookah to great music and food/drinks. Love coming here!! (Also the staff is so sweet which is the cherry on top!)

Service good but expect delays when ordering, there was 2 bartenders with about 60 people. Had hip hop & R&B music. Passed the vibe check. Had two people cleaning the bar and tables throughout the night. Expect a bit of a crowd.

Oakland seriously needed Nosso, good vibes, drinks, and food w out the drama. The service is fast and friendly and the music is poppin. This is a first and last stop type of bar!

I would give 5 stars but my food is only good if I'm dining in. I've placed two to go orders and was disappointed at how stale my chicken was and burnt my Brussels were both times. But I've also dined in twice and food was amazing so idk.

Came here for a late brunch. First time trying the food and it was great.... when we finally got it. I do understand when an establishment is understaffed it can get tight, but making drinks for your friends and putting orders for food in out of order is annoying for regular paying customers. We had to wait about 25 mins to get a bartender attention due to side conversations and it wasn't super busy, the drinks were good and the second bartender did apologize but the food order had us sick. We saw 3 people who ordered after us get their food before us. On top of us already waiting to order, we didn't see our food for over an hour. Really cute bar and the music is a vibe but please be aware of people who want to order who may not be regulars or your friends, we matter too.

I love a good cocktail bar. Nosso is my new goto spot. First, of all the new bars that have popped up recently in Oakland, none of them really compare to Nosso. At Nosso they pour a lot of alcohol into each drink, and even on a busy Friday night take the time to craft each cocktail perfectly. The bartenders are knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive. I came here on a date on my most recent visit. My date and I were not quite clicking and I really really appreciated the bartender keeping an eye on me. When you are in that situation, its so heartwarming to have someone check on you a couple times. Thank you so much, Nosso. See you this weekend.

Caught them on opening night! New Black Owned Bar in Oakland! Drinks are heavy, music is right, and the ambiance is dope. Can't wait to try the food next time I'm there. Service from the bartenders was great & we even met some of the owners! Looking forward to more vibes here

The food was EXCELLENT! Fire! The flavor *chefs kiss* The food came out fresh off the grill! The drinks were bomb! The music was a vibeeeeeee! The bartenders who very accommodating and checked on us several times. I give this place a SOLID, HIGH, 10/10

We dropped by on Saturday night, and it felt like stepping into a college party, filled with a crowd of people aged 25 and under having a great time. We prefer a more mature atmosphere. We ordered a shot of tequila, which was served to us quickly, and it cost $15+. If we return, it will be to try the food.

This is a must try spot! The food is amazing, the service is great and the music was perfect. The owners take the time to greet you and ensure everything is going to your liking. The drinks are a hit. Definitely need to check it out the next time you go out!

Food was really good, and the drinks were okay. I did go for a private event, and I think the drink menu was tailored to the event and it was obvious the bartender had just learned the drink recipe, so maybe their regular cocktail menu is better. They played good music.

Probably the best new bar that I've seen in the whole of Oakland. Wagyu sliders and the Thai chili wings were the best that I have ever tasted. The music was immaculate and the floral design created such a nice ambiance. Highly recommend to anyone in the Bay Area!
