I did a deep dive into specialty coffee in London, and Nostos happened to be a 3 min walk from my hotel. They have bags of beans from their roasters and Dak coffee roasters for sale. Their menu has multiple single origin coffees to choose from for pour overs. I ordered the freeze distilled flat white, which uses thickened whole milk that tastes like whole cream (delicious) and a light roast Colombia pink bourbon coffee. The espresso was pulled on a slayer single group with a very specific recipe, which the barista happily talked me through while pulling the shot.
The espresso smelled fantastic, and after adding the creamiest milk I’ve ever tasted to the espresso, you end up with a flat white that is bright, fruity, and super creamy and smooth. I absolutely loved it. I came back 5 hours later for a second cup of it!
Great coffee. Friendly baristas. Over all and wonderful experience. Just know that the baristas during the morning rush are too busy to chit chat, but later in the afternoon when things are quiet they are happy to discuss coffee!
