At this charming corner pizza joint, Not Ray's, the cozy vibe and crispy slices serve up delicious nostalgia with a cheeky nod to its competitors.
"Making fun of the Famous Ray's and its imitators, Not Ray's is a neighborhood pizza parlor in a memorable, wedge-shaped space right on Fulton Street. The slice has a narrow cornicione, the cheese is modestly applied, and the tomato sauce piquant and somewhat sweet. The slice is a little gloppier than usual and a molten cheese-sauce hybrid spills over the sides. Dying for novelty? Try the Buffalo chicken or Caesar salad pies." - Robert Sietsema
"Krkuti’s family, also Albanian immigrants, opened the Brooklyn slice shop Not Ray’s in 1989 (amid countless Ray’s pizzerias opening at the time)." - Mahira Rivers
