Jessica was an excellent server and made our experience really enjoyable and fun. The food, including the May monthly special crab stuffed haddock with lemon butter sauce, the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, the mashed potatoes (yum), cole slaw and glazed carrot sidedishes, were of good quality, well cooked and presented nicely. Maybe they could have used a tad more seasoning...not sure exactly why but seemed like the taste bullseye was just ever so slightly missed. Enjoyed the pomegranate fizz and espresso martini, but not at all special for the $16 price tag. The $14 peanut butter thing dessert wasn't exactly as described and although good didn't match the price either...expected something outstanding or more special. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere very nice. The food and drinks were a solid 4 stars but the staff made our lunch a really fantastic experience, so a 5 star outing altogether.

Dinner at Not Your Average Joe’s in Bethesda was enjoyable. Our server, Hedy, was incredibly hospitable—checking in with us periodically and making sure everything was just right. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner, which we really appreciated. We started with their signature Caramelized Onion Focaccia, paired with a delicious dipping oil of parmesan, garlic, and chili flake—it was the perfect warm-up. The Pineapple Painkiller cocktail was tropical and refreshing, setting a fun tone for the meal. For starters, the Ahi Tuna Wontons were crisp, flavorful, and a hit. The Waldorf Salad was fresh and well-balanced, and the Fish and Chips delivered that classic crispy goodness we were hoping for. Overall, a great visit with excellent service and satisfying bites.

My friend and I had an excellent time at Not Your Average Joe's in Bethesda! We were surprised how full it was so late on a Tuesday night! The food was delicious, and our waiter was very funny. I miss the location in Silver Spring. We will definitely be going back for more chicken piccata!

Google
It located off the intersection the Old Georgetown Rd and Democracy Blvd. it was at the corner of the shopping center building. We were standing inside for more than three minutes, then a staff finally came up to greet us. When I looked around, there were less than ten tables seated. It then took another five more minutes for another staff to take our beverages. Ten more minutes to take orders. Twenty minutes to serve dishes. Their staff had no intention to earn our business. The pizza was very dried to chew. The sandwich bread was slightly burnt. The grilled chicken was blackened. The jambalaya was too salty. An usual family dinner ended up taken more than two hours.

Great variety of items on the menu, friendly and welcoming staff, and nice atmosphere. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back!

Great food, an option for everybody roo! Tomato soup was delicous. A little pricey though.

This place was alright. I ordered the chicken tenders as an app and the burger as an entree. The bread was give to me and included. The bread was good. The oil dip that they provided with it was good as well. I did enjoy it but I’d say it had a little too much Parmesan cheese. It took away from the flavor of the oil dip. The tenders were delicious. I came here wanting a different flavor and I ended up with these tenders. There was a slight spicy kick (very slight) with a hint of sweet. I really enjoyed them. The blue cheese provided was a little more watery than I was expecting. The burger was honestly the worst part. I had to give it back, that’s how much I didn’t enjoy it. I ordered the fire burger and it was not what I was expecting. The chipotle mayo was on the side and not on the burger. The burger didn’t have much on it. I was expecting the jalapeños to be on the sandwich but it wasn’t. The sweet potato fries were good but they could definitely use their own sauce that isn’t ketchup. Overall the place was ok. I don’t know if I’d return due to the pretty basic, lackluster menu.

Rock solid restaurant with great choices and excellent food. I love their free bread and cheese/ olive oil; so delicious and tasty. Meatloaf is also one the best in the area.

Yelp
Who doesn't look for comfort when the weather forecast is dismal? So, I decided to pick up dinner at Not Your Average Joe's. They have a great selection of meals to go, from their mustard chicken, to Caesar salads, to burgers and more. The front desk was very nice and helpful. It has a great vibe with the lights, large bar area with large tv screens, the comfortable booths and twinkle fairy lights are all really lovely. Kudos to the manager for throwing in this delicious focaccia bread and oil and cheese dip. The bread was tasty and freshly made. The olive oil, cheese, and peppers complimented nicely. I ordered the Caesar salad with steak tips. Usually, when I eat there the salads are gigantic. This one was very filling and delicious. The steak tips were a bit past medium, but they were tender and well seasoned. I had plenty left for another meal. I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely go back. Not Your Average Joe's is not average at all.

Yelp
Great service! With a pleasant smile / good energy from Zach (Bartender). He made the experience fun and light hearted. Perfect personality for his career. I ordered the Salmon. It was great . Cooked perfectly....I thanked the Chef personally. I loved the music. It made the atmosphere so much fun. Thank you Zack and all the staff! Tara Leigh

Yelp
Went by for lunch during a Sunday in the fall. Clean spot with a few TVs to watch a few games at the bar. I saw some negative feedback on the service. I thought it was good especially considering there was 1 person working the bar and servicing most of the tables. Good diverse menu for food and cocktails. I started with the bang bang shrimp, the flavors were good it could have used a little more heat. I had the fish and chips for the main course. Feedback for the fry cook on the fish and shrimp -- the fry was done very nicely. Crisp and moist fish and shrimp. Good experience

Taylor N.

Yelp
Once in awhile you find a good spot with a great bartender. Today was our day! Thanks Zach, the pizza and ice cream pie dessert was spot on! That Rose was also solid.

Riley G.

Yelp
Surprisingly this was my first time here. Had a pretty solid experience. The staff were friendly and the food came out quick and was hot. I got the vodka pasta I believe with chicken but next time I will opt to not have the chicken on it or switch to shrimp as I feel like the chicken did not add much additional flavor. The dumplings were warm and tasty and finished the meal off with their cookie which was nicely priced, a large portion and very delicious!

Yelp
I'm updating my review because while I had issues with the way they marketed their gift card redemptions, they're still a rock solid restaurant with great choices and excellent food overall. I love their free bread and cheese/ olive oil; so delicious and tasty. Meatloaf is also one the best in the area. Service is also chill and nice. I just can't Stat away for long!

Yelp
We have had 2 visits to this location and both have been great. In both cases we had the kids and out of town guests. The restaurant is designed really nicely and feels like a place that you want to hang out and have a good time. The staff there was friendly, helpful and attentive on both visits. They do have a kids menu that has Pizza, Mac & Cheese, Mini Hamburger, Chicken Tenders and one of two more items. Our daughters (11 and 9) got the hamburger and chicken tenders which they both enjoyed. For us adults we tried the Crispy Bang Bang Shrimp and Ahi Tuna Wontons and both were really good. For one of my main courses I had the Sirloin Tips and it was just ok. The 2nd time I had the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl and that was amazing. Their drinks are really good. We had the Silver Cadillac on our last visit and served in such an unique and interesting way with black salt on the outside of the glass and Grand Marnier floating in a inside-out half of lime. This was one of the best margaritas that I have had. Overall we have had two great experiences here and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Pretty standard American chain restaurant style food but it's pretty good and hits the spot. Lots of seating but it wasn't very busy when we arrived on a weekday evening. Service was meh but I think that's because it was getting to the end of the day.

Keenan T.

Yelp
This place served up not your average dinner but it's nothing fancy. My jambalaya was good, and the crab cakes are the way they're meant to be. You have a generous ball of crab meat, not much filler compared to others. The meatloaf looked great. My friend said it was good. The "peanut butter thing" dessert tasted like an Oreo cookie infused with peanut butter. The size makes it a great sharable. We put it to the test by my peanut butter-loving mother. She said it was good. Great job making our food and thanks to our waiter for good service. I appreciate him splitting my order so I can share it. It wasn't that busy on the evening we came. It was right before a major holiday. I expected it to be busier.

Yelp
//4 stars for food, ambiance and service It has taken me an about a couple of years to review Not Your Average Joe's because I wanted to fully appreciate it. I would consider this restaurant as a casual sit in restaurant with decent food. I would pair this with other chain restaurants such as Chili's and Applebees. You will get consistent service and food with an overall casual dining experience. Venue: I say it's a smart mix of casual restaurant with a section of a sports bar. They have plenty of seats and the place is very clean. The hosts are pleasant and the washer rooms are kept clean, if that matters. The high glass windows adds a spacious feeling as well. Food: Now this is might be contentious because their serving size however the food selection are not quite adventurous for the price they introduce. I understand Bethesda is an expensive area however for me if you deliver unique and adventurous selections, I would not care about the price. From my last meal, I had the tomato soup; it was more thicker than I would've minded. It had more filling (probably cheese or bread crumbs) that made it more of a sauce than a soup. I do not complain but the concept of a healthy tomato soup was lost a bit. For the main dish I had the Cobb salad. I truly enjoyed that actually., The charred white meat chicken was perfect. It complemented the salad, which was not overly sauced/seasoned. Again it was a big serving I had to take home as left over. Misc: They are located in an outlet so they have plenty of parking so that is not a worry. A+ for that. Conclusion: My only reason for not giving them a 5 stars is because the price vs uniqueness vs quantity. For the price I was hoping for a venture outside of typical American food. I was hoping it would be a bit elevated. The quality of food was good, not going to lie, but I would rather see something I would not find in a restaurant across the street.

Yelp
Went there for lunch with two friends on 12/13/24. Our waitress was very nice and helpful but unfortunately can't give such a good review for the food. Food was very mediocre and in our view very overpriced. Two of us had chicken BLT one had the fish sandwich. Chicken was rather slippery; one piece of transparent piece of bacon on a bun which was not special just doughy. Nothing was too flavorful. I am told fish was ok but way too much bread. Side Caesar salads were good-tasty dressing. Overall lots of carbs and not too much protein for the money. Had to ask for clean plates for bread-I guess the dishwasher wasn't working. The location is good and parking is easy. Will possibly try one more time for a Happy Hour-not sure about ever trying for lunch again! Sad to say!

Milla B.

Yelp
Not your average Joes is like airport restaurant minus the airport. Unambiguously boring but somehow ridiculously overpriced. I've been twice thinking maybe something had changed because the food was ok the first time but the service sucked. Came back for the second time, 6 months later, slightly better service (the bartender rocked but the food still came out slow even though the place was relatively empty) but the same ok food, just more expensive. Happy hour (M-F 3-6) no longer includes food. Just 30% off their ridiculously priced drinks. $16 for a G&T? During happy hour? Blasphemy. I mean, it was good, with freshly muddled cucumber but still. Won't be returning. If you're looking for upscale American food, you can do better in this area. Don't waste your time or money here.

Maria C.

Yelp
The food was great, we both had salads, the bread with olive oil dip was delicious. Service was good, removing used dishes is something that makes for a better dining experience, which includes glasses. That was my only negative concern, otherwise good. Ambiance is casual and comfortable. A nice bar area and restaurant seating are available and parking too.

Yelp
Friendly Customer Service! I Visited yesterday later afternoon; just before "Happy Hour"-the bar area was buzzing w/activity. The Dining Room was less busy. I got a booth in the bar area-Score! A server arrived quickly w/a pleasant demeanor. I ordered the "Fish/Chips". The "Fish/Chips" arrived relatively quickly. Pipping Hot & Generous Portion. The coating crispy, the fish tender, flavorful & the "Chips" (fries) crispy. The Coleslaw tasted fresh too. A Delicious meal. One NOTABLE Difference: the style of the fish "served" changed-this serving included (2) Large pieces compared to the longtime (3) medium side pieces. The larger pieces I found difficult to dip into the tarter & barbecue sauces w/o the fish breaking apart/crispy coating falling off. The Focaccia Bread was fresh just not warm. It tasted better warm. Otherwise great meal. See Photos. The server provided friendly courteous customer service.

Yelp
We dropped into Not Your Average Joe's over the weekend with a small group of six people. The menu has plenty of options, including a gluten sensitive menu. Service was lacking from the start. It took over two hours to eat lunch. The waitress seemed less than knowledgeable about the food and allergens, so beware if you have dietary restrictions. The food was good when it was accurate. Our group had burgers and sandwiches. We ordered a kid's gluten free Mac n cheese that came without cheese. Mashed potatoes are actually garlic mashed potatoes. Likely not a place I'd return to, nor do I recommend if you have allergies or other dietary restrictions.

Yelp
Not Your Average Joe's is one of my neighborhood favorites. I've been coming to NYAJ a few times a year over the years and I have to say the service is always on point. The teriyaki glazed salmon (healthy version) is a really good choice. I asked for my dressing on the side, whereas my sister had the sauce poured over the salmon. She felt it was a little too much sauce and perhaps more oil than necessary, so I was glad I ordered the healthy version with my sauce on the side. I also recently ordered the chicken and shrimp rice bowl for takeout. It was healthier than what you'd have at a Chinese restaurant and still quite tasty! I've also had the Herb Crusted Haddock as well as the burgers here. All excellent! My favorite dessert is the Peanut Butter Thing. It is to die for! I've often ordered it for takeout, as well as dining in. It always hits the spot! This is a great place to go for happy hour, family dinners and graduation dinners. Parking is easy here so be sure to stop on by.

Yelp
Recently two bartenders Vy and LA won me over from my previous review... Yes, it's worth coming back. Professional, attentive, talented... Thank you.

I A M.

Yelp
I w very disappointed in mid-October to receive a blah chicken Parm, mediocre gf rolls, indifferent service by bartender, followed by a very steep check (despite only 1 drink and 1 dessert being ordered!) The hamburger was good, as was the Cocktail and gluten free carrot cake -- that's about all I can say that's positive. They've really gone downhill in the past year or so. Likely labor shortage issues. Too bad! Used to be a go-to restaurant as we have celiac and have to be really careful where we eat. (They do have a fantastic gluten free carrot cake!) Hope they can get it together!!

Eric K.

Yelp
Have always been a fan of joe's - we stopped in for a late bite & since it was a nice evening, we decided to sit outside. Our waitress arrived quickly to hook us up with drinks & some bread (which is always good here). I ordered the Simple Salmon on this visit - a fave. Our wait was reasonably short & our server continued to be friendly & attentive throughout. Salmon was excellent (tender) ..and though not a big fan of quinoa - it was not bad either! I also noted that the staff took special attention to cleaning/sanitizing the tables between customers which was great! We'll be back! (again)

Adelyn P.

Yelp
A casual place with a very pleasant owner. The food was good and the service food fine. We had a nice roomy table near the front. Great gif a small family get together where we stayed a while just talking. This place has a full bar. Restaurant is located near stores and across the street from a lovely speciality grocery store and bakery.

Nyla S.

Yelp
Cheap eats, good service. Reminds me of Maggy McFly. Server was nice. Very casual place

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Zero stars for sure. Arrogant night manager and absolutely certain young blond waitress in bar with pink highlights was stoned the whole time she waited on us. Shameful over serving at the bar with no supervision.

Hope N.

Yelp
We sat outside with a group of five for an after work, happy hour. Our server/bartender Kate is newer, she said she'd only been working here a few months. Nevertheless, she was great. She was able to make changes to drinks and menu items for us, and we didn't feel rushed at all, even though the food came out super fast. I especially liked the tuna wontons and strawberry rhubarb sangria. Thank you Kate! We will come back soon.

Yelp
... and Not Your Average night, apparently! 6PM on a Wednesday evening, checked in with the hostess, asking if we could sit in the bar area......"No problem", she stated, handing us our menus. Headed up to the bar, grabbed the last of the high tops and seated ourselves. End of story. NO ONE approached us, acknowledged us, served us......nada contact. Three bartenders behind the so-so busy bar, none of them, or any other server, wanted anything to do with the two of us. Sooooooo, waited ten minutes, smiled at each other, picked up and left. On the way out, handed the menus back to the hostess, advising her that no one cared. Not a word as we walked out the door. Interesting. Done and done.

Yelp
I wish i could come here every friday and drink and eat i love this place and the atomshere and the customer service is GREAT

Caitlin F.

Yelp
Came here for the first time for a late dinner over the weekend. Walking in, the restaurant looks very inviting. It has a rustic, sports bar feel that I enjoyed. We were sat immediately and our server was ready to take our order very quickly. They took our order and offered to bring bread with dip, which was delicious and included so I definitely do not recommend turning them down. One thing I didn't love is that we ordered our appetizers and meal at the same time, and it all came out together. So if you want things separated, it might be best to order them at different times. Now as far as the food goes: Buffalo Caribbean tenders - this was a fun twist on traditional Buffalo tenders. They had the taste of Buffalo combined with a tangy fruit taste which was very good. Jambalaya - the jambalaya tasted great, along the lines of traditional flavoring. What really stood out to me was how much chicken, sausage and shrimp they packed onto the plate. You definitely get your bang for your buck with this one. Peanut butter thing - as someone who loves all things chocolate and peanut butter, this did not disappoint. It's a peanut butter ice cream cake with Oreo crumbs layered into it. Comes with fudge and caramel on the side as optional toppings. I will definitely be coming back here just for this!

Yelp
I visited the restaurant in Bethesda after having many good experiences in their Virginia locations. I proudly brought my family with me. Unfortunately I had the worst dinner experience in a long time. The purpose of the visit was a family Christmas celebration. The service was okay, but the food not so good. I ordered a Smokey Joe Burger and asked to have it cooked medium. I got a cold burnt piece of meat on my burguer. This was NOT YOUR AVERAGE BURGUER, but the WORST BURGER I ever had. I showed the burguer to the server and he clearly saw that the patty was "well done and burnt". They offered to replace the burger but I told them that I didn't want to wait and then ruin the experience of sharing a Christmas meal with my family. I really regret choosing this restaurant for an important family event, my advice is to avoid this place at all cost. They don't care if you had a happy experience. To my surprise I was charged in full for the burnt burguer. When asked the server about this, he told that it against company policy to make any credits. REALLY ? Company policy ? If you go to a place where customer satisfaction is not a top priority, then you went to the wrong place. This " JOE" and its manager is way below the average of the worst restaurant in town. This neighborhood has plenty of good restaurants around .... Avoid this one! You will thank me for this.

John F.

Yelp
No service at all. And your drinks come at the same time as your food - just before one passes out from hunger

Lynn F.

Yelp
This was my second visit to Joe's and I was excited because the food was so good. This time I decided to have the Fish and Chips again. I love Haddock. But the breading tasted off. It really was harder than crispy. I should have sent it back. The fish was ok . But I truly was disappointed. And later that night, I got sick

Karl S.

Yelp
Not Your Average Joe's used to be one of my favorite places. Unfortunately things seem to have gone downhill. My friend and I had dinner here recently on a non-crowded night. Upon entering, the entire place smelled weird, kind of like cleaning chemicals. I sat down to join my friend who was already seated, and had to wait a long time for the server to come take my drink order. All of the servers seemed to be wandering around with no sense of urgency or attentiveness. Our server seemed bored out of her mind and completely uninterested in her job. We asked for bread and she said they had to bake more so it would take 10 minutes...meanwhile I was seated facing the kitchen and watched other servers fill bread baskets and take them to tables. About 10 minutes later she brought us our bread. It was cold/stale/dense and definitely not fresh out of the oven! I remember when the bread used to be hot, fresh, and fluffy many years ago. We then waited a while for our server to re-appear and we ordered our entrées. We both had salmon which was underwhelming and lacking in seasoning. At the end of our meal while I was getting ready to leave, I watched two servers start eating fries off a plate that the kitchen had prepared, and then they took it to a customer!!! If they are doing that type of stuff in plain view of customers, I don't even want to know what they are doing when customers can't see.

Cathy N.

Yelp
I've eaten here plenty of times and ordered to go once and food was great. But yesterday, I had the worse experience ever! It was my husband birthday and with both of us working we didnt have time to dine out or cook. So I ordered our favorite dishes, 3 chicken piccata with extra sauce, BBQ pulled pork mac and cheese, small margarita pizza, and tuna appetizer. It only about 20 minutes drive home. When I got home and unpack the food. I opened up to find my 3 main dishes of chicken piccata with Barely to NO sauce. And because it was 3 main course. I rushed to the grocery store to grab some capers, white wine, chicken stock, and lemons and YouTube making chicken piccata sauce. It was not the same cuz im not a chef, I wasted an extra hour and my husband birthday dinner and time spent together was lost and we ended up throwing the dishes away. I've never been more upset. Food order to go should still be qaulity and good as when you are dining in.

Vivian B.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday afternoon and surprisingly, it wasn't crowded we got greeted and seated right away. Edgy, modern decor and cool music. Great service and the food was delicious! That peanut butter thing is most definitely meant for sharing lol. Excellent experience, will be back for sure!

Thomas S.

Yelp
Food has continued to go downhill. Stopped for lunch. We had an 8oz bowl of chowder and bowel of tomato soup.$22.26. Had to ask for crackers. Meatloaf - the reason I stopped, is no longer on menu. Deviled eggs another. Huge place and it was pretty much empty. Probably going to that way.

Grace E.

Yelp
Came in sat at the bar area with my parents for a get together over a drink. I came out from VA to come see them. i was extremely disappointed. service from the bartender was slow, had to wait 10 mins for water and had to ask him 2 times for some. got the cheesecake egg rolls they were ok. i ordered a chicken caesar wrap, took 20 minutes before we said something and just canceled the ordered since our drinks had been empty and no sign of him coming to give us more service.

Maureen B.

Yelp
Food was GREAT and Service was EXCELLENT! We shared a meal and it was brought on separate plates and the side order was split equally!

Rajni S.

Yelp
My husband and I go to lunch here every so often and today I ordered a Southwest Chicken salad. It has strips of fried chicken and the 3 pieces on my salad were all burned (very dark). I was starving so I ate 2 but couldn't eat that last one. I showed it to the waitress and she offered to replace it in a to-go box for me. You guessed it, the to go box had a burned piece even darker than the one in my salad. I showed it to her and she says, "oh let me get you another piece". We had already waited long enough for the first one, we just left telling her we won't be coming back. Maybe she was new but she wasn't very attentive either, only came once to check on us. slow service and food is Average or if you get the dish I got, it's horrible.

Songbae L.

Yelp
I have been here with a friend, just me and the kids, and this time the whole family. Each time the food and service has been good. I especially like their gluten-free bread rolls which you can order for extra. I'm posting a review today just to give a suggestion. Try not to put mulch in the planters when you have diners outside and it's windy. Some of it blew into our food. I'm still giving five stars because we were in a rush, I went in several times to check on our food, and they were understanding and responsive.

Mona B.

Yelp
I've been coming to this location for over a decade. It's convenient and sitting at the bar will get you greet service. IThe atmosphere is more of a quick bite for lunch or light dinner and drinks. The last few times there our bartender Katelyn was attentive. They have a happy hour weekdays from 3-6 which is for the bar and lounge area only. The lounge area are the booth/high tops closest to the bar area. Last occasion we visited we had a few Moscow mules, cheesesteak egg rolls as a starter, ahi tuna wontons( I ask for half on cucumber slices/half w the regular wonton chips), husband had a cheeseburger w/ fries. The also give you complimentary fresh bread with an olive oil/garlic/Parmesan dip.

Sharon W.

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful meals all around. The service was nice and they cleaned up quickly. My salmon was a wonderful definitely satisfying meal. The drinks were really delicious too. Definitely a good date night place or family outing. 5/5

Ava G.

Yelp
Went yesterday at lunchtime to Bethesda location of nyaj after a long time. Good food, but that's where the positive stuff ends. Was charged for two salads when we had split one. Service was really sloppy. Our entree arrived before the salad, although both were ordered at the same time. I Asked for parmesan cheese for my salad, which never arrived. It was my husband's birthday and the waitress told us they do a small dessert celebration, but then she forgot about it and brought the check. I had to go ask about the dessert. They don't do a lunchtime menu, which is a huge miss. Who wants to eat -and pay for- a dinner sized portion at lunchtime? Tacky, pricey and overall left an unpleasant taste. We might not return.

Thomas N.

Yelp
some of the sweetest and receptive service behind the bar. A1 food & 10/10 drinks. shout out to Vi, Gisselle and the new bar staff member Lilliana.

Brian W.

Yelp
Came in, sat at the bar. Service was reasonably quick. Ordered a beer (loose cannon). Received full and cold, Got the lobster roll. Honestly, I wanted to love it, and it was fine. Tasted good (not great, as one might expect) but was maybe 3/4 full at best. It was also surprisingly expensive ($33). Best (by comparison) part of the food was the old bay fries and the coleslaw. Asked for my bill and was delivered another beer. A good problem to have, I guess. But still have to pay for it. Then it took another hour to get the attention of bartender to cash out. Not worth it.

Yelp
I enjoy this restaurant which I discovered in June, and have been to several times, much because of the tasty vegan options. The outdoor seating also a plus but there are just a couple things that make the overall experience underwhelming. Of the several times that I have dined at the restaurant, I have had one above average wait staff, but enjoy the casual ambiance & food, so have given the wait staff a "by". The one waitress, that I would rate a 5 & was also the bartender. She was personable, attentive but not overbearing, got the order accurate, knew the menu and had a good memory for recall. The service here, I would give a consistent rating of 1. Today's trip was laughable because giving it too much more credence would bring micro-aggressions to mind. The wait time was too long for 2 vegan burgers and the few customers dining at the time. When asked for sparkling water, we were offered club soda until we saw sparkling water on the menu and then the waiter obliged. At the end of the meal, it took the waiter so long to come back, I had to go ask the hostess/another waitstaff to advise our waiter we were ready to leave and were ready for the check. Upon coming to the table he asked if we wanted separate checks or one check?? Head scratch! My spouse and I requested one check. I know the sterility of Bethesda lacks a cornucopia of ethnic diversity but Geez, it's 2021. We provided the waiter with some well-spirited education for which we hope will be useful moving forward about allowing the customers to request division of checks as well as not to make assumptions that potentially could be offensive to future patrons. After today's experience, I won't say that I am scratching the restaurant off my list but it may take me a moment before returning...

Yelp
This place is going downhill fast. Restaurant is practically dead on a Friday evening. Service is meh, waiter took our order and forgot it. Came back and had us repeat it. Food is meh. Nothing special. Used to love this place.

Yelp
Good selection of beers, good menu with some imaginative items and some standards. Try the cheesesteak egg rolls.

Yelp
Haven't been here for a while, so we were looking forward to it. We were with a large party and we had reserved way in advance. Our reservation was at 630pm. We did not get our food until after 8pm! Our server was trying her best but it seems the problem was in the kitchen. Food was good once we got it. Certainly did not expect such slow service. Hoping it was just an off night.

Yelp
Nothing fancy, just good food. Bonus for me is that they offer a very nice gluten free menu with a variety of choices. I had the chicken caprese sandwich without the gluten free bun. The portion was generous, and the chicken was nicely flavored. I chose sautéed spinach for my side and, while good, it was swimming in a lot of liquid. Water? Butter? I couldn't tell. Others in my family enjoyed what they ordered, judging by the empty plates. Another bonus is that this restaurant is in a shopping area with a lot of free parking.
