Overall rating: 4 Went randomly last minute for Mother’s Day. Visited with a family 5 with 1x child. And the food was alright. Nothing special. The service was a bit rough. They forgot a meal and it took forever to ask for new things. While I know it’s a busy holiday, I was surprised we didn’t even get checked in on. The server was nice, very young but still bad service. The cappuccino was a lot smaller than I was expecting and by the time it came out.. it was cold. They did make it up a few times with more bread. But at one point we were starving. Clam chowder was alright. Pretty average for Massachusetts. Not sure if I’d come back.

This place is top notch, bread and oil to start a meal, bolognese was one of the best I've had. Only thing I didnt have was a drink. Dylan S was my server and did a fantastic job. Very friendly staff and wonderful food.

We love coming to this location! It's bright, clean, and has a great vibe. The Mediterranean pizza and super cheeseburger are one of our favorites and is always delicious. Great food and service make this a perfect spot for a meal while shopping at the mall. Kuldip S was fantastic! Very attentive to all of our dining needs, making it a perfect experience! Just what we needed! Don't lose Kuldip!!!!

I went with someone who hasn’t been to a lot of restaurants in America, but they said this was the best food they have tried in America. I’ve also never been myself and the staff was lovely enough to recommend some options (with a dairy allergy). Mustard crusted chicken seemed to be a good option. Green beans and a salad. I like mustard why not. I didn’t realize how amazing it was going to be! Enjoyed the green beans with it.

Today was a 5 star experience for me. All the food was cooked perfectly. The space was a bit cold, only draw back. Was a cold day in New England. Coconut shrimp apps were done perfectly. I ordered a designated mule, which is a non alcoholic ginger based beverage .... I often order this and LOVE it. I had the korean beef noodle bowl, by far my favorite dish at this restaurant, and it did not disappoint today. Its also an elusive dish, as i have gone to NYAJ in 2 different locations over the last year that did not have the ingredients to order this dish. Well, im glad today I was not dissapointed. was done so perfectly in taste and texture, I gave it my rare 5th star. My wife ordered Herb crusted haddock. she loved it. no desert today, just a beautiful subtle end to the meal with a non- alcoholic berry spritzer to clean the palate. our server was perfect. timing, demeanor and engagement

This place blessed me better this time around more than my last time around. It’s nice to see a good menu with good fair prices for the amount of food you get. It's very fair. Service from Bartender Michelle S. Was great. I really enjoyed my experience this time around, my last time not so much. I enjoy restaurant that are always willing to improve on things. I'm always willing to give restaurants 2nd and 3rd chances. I'm glad I did. This place did good at changing my mind tonight. I'll definitely keep coming back. Keep that free bread 🍞 and oil coming. Thank you for Service. See you again soon. Shane

We haven’t been to a Not Your Average Joe’s in quite some time. Shopping at the mall on Saturday, we decided to stop in for a late lunch. Hubby had the gluten-free turkey avocado club with coleslaw and I had the grilled chicken southwestern salad. Abby was our server and she was friendly, bubbly and attentive. Both meals were very good, prices were reasonable, restaurant appeared to be recently renovated and other servers were also friendly and covered for one another. We would return!

🍽️ I visited Not Your Average Joe’s in Peabody at the North Shore Mall this past weekend 🌟. From what I’ve heard, this place was a total high school hangout hotspot 🏫🍹. So, I was super excited to see what all the buzz 🐝 was about at this beloved chain. To kick things off, we tried some of their mocktails 🍹 - a perfect choice for anyone doing Dry January! And let’s talk about their table side focaccia bread with olive oil 🥖🫒 - simply divine! For starters, we had their whipped feta dip 🧀. It was creamy, reminiscent of tzatziki sauce, and served with marinated garbanzo beans, sesame crisps, cucumbers, and warm house pita chips 🥙 - a solid 7/10. Next up, Buffalo Chicken Caribbean Tenders 🍗. These hand-breaded beauties were tossed in a mango-buffalo BBQ sauce and served with pineapple-jalapeño salsa and blue cheese dressing. Not too spicy, but a tender lover’s dream - 7/10. But the star of the appetizers? The Coconut Shrimp 🍤. The tangy sauce was a hit - this dish deserves a permanent spot on the menu! 9/10 for sure. Moving on to mains, we had their Chicken Poblano Enchiladas 🌯, Bacon Bleu Burger 🍔, and Mustard-Crusted Chicken 🍗. The enchiladas 7/10 and burger, both specials, were delicious, but my top pick? The Bacon Bleu Burger - an 8/10 thanks to the perfect pairing of bleu cheese. And those sweet potato fries 🍟? Cooked to perfection. The mustard-crusted chicken, served with mashed potatoes and green beans, was a classic but maybe just lacked in flavor - 6/10. For dessert 🍰, we went all out! The “Peanut Butter Thing” 🥜🍫 was a colossal treat - a peanut butter and chocolate chunk vanilla ice cream pie slice, rolled in Oreo crumbs, topped with whipped cream, and drizzled with hot chocolate and caramel sauces - a heavenly 9/10. And the donuts in a bag 🍩, served with caramel sauce and apple slices, were great too, although I wished for a bit more cinnamon sugar - 8/10. Overall, Not Your Average Joe’s delivered a fantastic experience! With their extensive menu, you’re sure to find something tantalizing 😋. Food 🍴: 7/10 Ambiance 🌟: 8/10 Affordability 💲: 7/10

Yelp
This is a great location to meet friends. Large open space so you don't feel in top of people. Service was excellent and staff attentive and helpful. Food is solid. Quality and quantity were also decent. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Not Your Average Joe's is an American Restaurant that offers a pretty standout lobster roll that I just had to try. The roll is generously filled with delicious lobster meat, complemented by a light touch of mayo and crisp lettuce. The buttery, toasted bun adds a delightful crunch, enhancing the overall flavor. I added a little bit of the oil left over from our bread which enhanced it that much more, but overall very satisfied with the roll! It was paired with their seasoned crispy fries making this dish a true delight for seafood lovers. The quality and freshness of the ingredients truly set this lobster roll apart, making it a memorable dining experience for visiting Massachusetts for the first time. I also had their pineapple painkiller drink which was so refreshing and tasty - would have preferred a touch more alcohol but still enjoyed the added nutmeg flavor that I was ever so slightly skeptical of. Overall, great experience with my family!

Yelp
Came here for dinner the other week with my son, who is a super picky eater. He loved the "Joe's bread" and ate a whole basket himself. Followed up by "the second best pizza I ever had" I think the Buffalo chicken pizza is the best. He got plain cheese which he ate his entire half of the pizza. We ended with a cookie explosion that was out of this world. The management team is outstanding and Dylan, the bartender was super nice. Can't wait to go back to Not Your Average Joe's!

Yelp
food was ok, $$$ and small portions. Hamburgers where half size of normal burger. 99 or Chilli's like but at a much higher price. Would take Chilli's or 99 over this place.

Yelp
I was driving by and spontaneously decided to get dinner at Not Your Average Joe's. Upon arriving, I was immediately greeted and seated. My waitress came by promptly to take my order. I went with the chicken piccata. It's been at least a few years since I last ate at one of these restaurants, but from my experience, it seems like the food quality has deteriorated. While my chicken was pan fried perfectly, the sauce was horrendous. It tasted exactly like sour cream instead of a lemony pasta sauce. Overall, Not Your Average Joe's should really be re-named to Your Average Joe's given the average quality of their food.

Yelp
Just went last night and Abbie was so sweet! They were ridiculously busy. Abbie kept checking in on us even though she was so busy. Food was absolutely delicious. Only thumbs down would be to that you could not hear the music and the lights were a bit bright. Otherwise, 10/10. Thank you! Management was very present as well. Oh and Abbie took my berry allergy very seriously. I appreciate that SO much.

Yelp
Kuldip was excellant. very attentive and pleasant. Crunch salad was very good and fresh.

Yelp
Yikes. Ordered delivery and nothing was really up to snuff. My salad was smaller than anticipated and the chicken was not good. The worst was my friends sandwich though -- the paper lining you get in deli meat packages was IN the sandwich. Absolutely foul, unsanitary and reflects very poor attention and care in food preparation. Will definitely not be coming back. Gross!!

Yelp
I just did a take out at Not Your Average Joe's. It was their vegetarian caprese' sandwich, which is suppose to have extra tomatoes and cheese. The hostess told me 15 minutes. A half hour later I asked the same woman about my sandwich. She left and came back 5 minutes later and told me it was waiting for the bread, which would take an additional 10 minutes. I told her I just wanted the sandwich. I saw another person putting bread in the bags and sending them out to the floor. (Which I did not say anything). She came with the sandwich. I live nearby and brought the sandwich home. It was ice cold. Also, take a look at the picture of the sandwich on your website. It does not look anything like what I received. Vegetarian is suppose to have extra cheese and tomatoes. Here is what I received. No tomatoes, very little mozzerella and no aloili or marinated tomato's. With the tip this sad looking sandwich cost me $21. Previously, I went to NYAJ every week. I haven't gone for a while. It has really changed, the service and the food. I will never go there again. There is also a picture of what is supposed to look like.

Yelp
In this day and age when good service is becoming rare I was really shocked by NYAJ! My dish took a bit longer and without saying a word the manager herself delivered it and said she would take it off the bill. I said that's very kind but I was totally fine with it and she didn't need to comp it. So had a nice dinner, paid and when I left a waiter dropped off an envelope with a $25 gift certificate. Now there's customer service and congrats to this manager. Besides I enjoyed food, drinks and service. Def will be back.

Yelp
Stopped here for breakfast at the airport and got the bagel with cream cheese and bacon. It was good and the service was nice! :)

Yelp
First time trying this restaurant chain on the North Shore, and didn't leave disappointed. I passed on the patio area this time due to inclement weather, yet the interior has plenty of space for groups of 4 or more, etc. Not Your Average Joe's seems to offer a variety from BBQ to seafood, pizza, burgers, club sandwiches, pasta, etc. I opted for the jambalaya bowl for the entree, while accepting a cup of New England clam chowder ($5.99) as the appetizer. The chowder is not too thick, yet not terribly runny at all! The jambalaya bowl ($17.99) was served in a very large portion size (I couldn't finish it), and was hot enough to drain your sinuses. The local IPA choices were a bit "meh", given that the darkest and hoppiest draft tasted like 5-day old Guiness without the punch of nitro. After a small taste test of local IPA, I settled on a Dogfish IPA draft ($5.99), which really should be renamed "Dogs**t IPA" instead. Just not very good. A bit on the flat and not very good tasting side of IPA brews. My young, attractive brunette server with a smile bright enough to light up Newbury Street proved to be exceptional. Very attentive, prompt, and spot-on with her recommendations. I think that I gave her an additional 5% gratuity just for her smile alone. Kudos to the hostess for selling me up on the venue, given that there were several others around the Northshore Mall area that deserved attention. Other than the aforementioned beer selections, I'll certainly return.

Yelp
Manager needs a break, her poor attitude, huffing/puffing at every job she assisted with and eye-rolling really set the tone for the week before Christmas. I feel sorry for her and hope she gets some time off soon!

Yelp
Bad experience today. I went for lunch and sat at the bar. Very rude and unpleasant bar person. Very short and curt in his interaction. I ordered and got my food. He never checked in. I did ask for a box to take my dinner home. He tossed it to me. My advice, don't eat at the bar. Issues every time. Got a standard response from management. They don't read messages. My issue was not with food. Service

Yelp
Nyaj is our go to place for the hubby and I. This past weekend we ordered the cheesesteak egg roll as the app and it was good. I order my usual the Mustard Crusted Chicken as always good :) My husband ordered the Super Crunchy Salad, which he enjoyed and we ended with the strawberry shortcake for dessert. Service was great, nyaj has never let us down :)

Yelp
We were in the area for a baseball tournament on July 22nd and decided to plan a last-minute team dinner. I had called only a couple of hours ahead of time and they were able to accommodate our party of 30 people. They were ready for us when we arrived, and happily worked with us and do separate checks for each family (which I know is not ideal for servers). The kitchen did a phenomenal job getting all the meals out around the same time which is amazing for a group the size of ours. To top it all off the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant !!
google avatar

Gabriel L.

Yelp
Despite the name, this restaurant is definitely average. The deserts were very exciting, especially how they were described on the menu. However, the desert was a slight let down. I won't even talk about my entree, because it was yet another letdown. I was starving today, so the food tasted slightly good. 3/10 definitely better restaurants in the area. Maybe check out legal sea foods...or the Cheesecake Factory.

Pamela K.

Yelp
Bartender was nowhere to be found when we arrived at bar. Eventually, a very nice person brought us water and asked what we'd like to drink. Bartender came from out back and took our order. Sent back chicken bowl because broccoli wasn't cooked. Came back again, still not cooked. I would have enjoyed bowl much more with cooked broccoli. I left it on my plate. Left there unsatisfied. Bowl was close to $20, Peripheral waitstaff was very good.

Yelp
Updated review. I had a disagreeable meal experience here about 10 days ago. I posted a one star review on yelp and received a prompt response from the customer service rep who apologized oh so nicely and offered me a gift cert for the price of my meal, which I just received today. The GC covered the prices of my meal and my daughter's meal as well. I've got to say, I was super surprised with the attentiveness and earnest caring shown by Not Your Average Joe's. I appreciate and show loyalty to places/people who demonstrate this level of service! I'll update after my next visit!

Yelp
I don't like giving out bad grades. This is primarily about the food though. Our service was good. Salads are really disappointing with little attention to detail. Old lettuce and just lacking in fresh produce. This place used to be good but its disappointing how it has fallen off.

Yelp
Drop in to my local not your average Joe's for a beer something to eat and watch the Patriots football game. From being in there multiple times before I knew there was least six TVs at the bar and I like the bar and I like some of their food. When I walked in, they were playing a Purdue Volleyball girls game one TV was out and the other one was CrossFit games. I asked the bartender about it and she said oh it's hooked up to a satellite so they can't change the stations on a Sunday locally. All the bars are busy because they have football games on so my question is what is the manager thinking putting shit TV on nobody was looking at the TV set and by the way while I was there I bought one beer I did decided to go home and make my own mail because I couldn't sit there and watch keep watching the shit on the TV set that they put on And I gotta be honest if I was the manager and I was a regional manager came in there. I would pull that manager aside and write them up on the spot. There is no reason for that every single bar in the mall had more people in it than not your average Joe's I wonder why I feel bad for the bartender who's gonna make shit today cause she's gonna wait on no more than four people all day. That's what I saw at the at the bar when I walked in the whole left side of the bar was completely empty. It's crazy I don't understand how people are doing Stuff like this and if you're gonna put something on TV, put something on where it's worth watching you're telling me a satellite TV can't get channel 4 I can't get fox 25 even if you put a friggin Kansas City Chiefs game on or whoever is playing on 25 that would've been something But I'm not even saying all the TVs have to have football on them out of the six maybe one on each side that would've been fine nothing don't get it I gave the rating your food is good I could've went to Tony sees who has 1 million TVs but their food sucks And I was hungry so I took my money after buying one beer and left like I said I feel bad for the bartender she's making nothing. The place is maybe 5% filled on a Sunday with all the shoppers over the mall and all I could say, is I wonder why And the manager should be looking around saying I wonder why it's as bad as it gets in decision-making. One last thing with all the competition out there I don't understand why your decision like that was ever made but that's their problem they wanna make his little money as possible and pay for the location through the nose. I guess that's what they wanna dountil it'll be time to close the doors and it's too bad because like I said, I've had a couple different items that they have for food and that's why I went there. I can't recommend this place with decisions made like that.

Yelp
This had to be one for the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant in my life! We sat for about 20 minutes before a waitress came over to us, it took 20-25 minutes for 3 cocktails, we ordered food, literally took 40-45 mins for our food, they forgot one meal, the servers spilled a drink on my wife, they never did anything to compensate us or anything! I will NEVER go back there again!

Yelp
We have always had good meals at NYAJ's in Peabody. Unfortunately tonight my meal was not good. There was a time that The Mona Lisa Salad consisted of a pan sautéed chicken cutlet. It's been a long while since I last ordered it but now it's fried chicken fingers with very few strawberries and lots of pickled onions. To make it worse the Parmesan crusted chicken tenders were very over cooked, fried dark and very dry and tasteless. If they had stated chicken fingers or tenders on the menu I wouldn't be writing about this salad because I would never or The food server basically dropped the plates and ran. Maybe it was the look of disbelief when I saw my food expecting something a lot nicer. As I walked out I saw a kid with his plate of chicken fingers. I felt like saying "kid be happy they didn't burn yours". We came back because we knew one poor experience was unusual and not the norm. We had great service and the food was excellent. I had the brined grilled pork chop. Cooked perfectly and really tender. The tempura app was very good and the pizza was too.

Yelp
The Good: Lots to talk about here. The patio is awesome. Clean, open, and well-designed. They also have both heaters and fans to make it ready for all seasons. The food was quite delicious as well. Everything we had had great flavor, textures, and color. Couple of negative marks on some things, but more on that in a minute. Drinks are fantastic and well-balanced. (side note: If your getting the sangria and have multiple people that want it, get the pitcher. You get about 5-6 glasses for the price of 2!). And the pricing overall is nice. Great value for what you pay for, and you leave feeling full but not disgusting. The Bad: So two things here that are made worse by it not being very busy. First thing was that the chicken lettuce wraps came out sloppy. There was nappa cabbage all over the plate and the wraps were not well-formed. And the steak in the cheesesteak spring rolls was very inconstantly cooked. Almost well done (fucking nasty) on some pieces, while others were more medium rare. But other than that, really no complaints. The Ugly: The big thing here is the server was not very knowable. We asked her questions about several dishes, and she really could not answer them. I don't expect her to know the menu inside and out (although the best ones do), but she should be able to answer some basic questions about popular dishes, which she could not do. The patio is also next to a major mall entrance, so although we went during a slow time, one could imagine it could get very noisy with all the cars and people coming and going.

Yelp
I wish I could give this restaurant less! But the food is watery, the menu is inaccurate, it's all around a waste of money. The service is subpar and I will never be eating here again! Never try the baked pasta!

Zoe J.

Yelp
Didn't have what was offered on the menu. Head to ask for bread. Food was good, but not great. Small portion for price.

Yelp
food was great and service did their job so 4 stars is deserved atmosphere was not good zero people in there

Alicia E.

Yelp
This place isn't bad but it's definitely not as good for the price it is. I got the chicken parmesan pasta and it was a little tough and the noodles weren't super great. It wasn't bad but it wasn't worth 18 dollars in my opinion
google avatar

Mr H.

Yelp
Gave the place another go, last time. I cannot understand why you would spend so much money on the interior (which is fabulous) and then have crap food and drink, astonishing. Food has zero flavor/seasoning, any Asian noodles/ broth bowl is all about the broth no matter what the ingredients, this might as well of been ditch water. Draft beer is flat, usually this happens when the temperature is wrong and this is compounded if you serve in a chilled glass. Now I know why the Cheesecake Factory is a 30 min wait and this place is seated immediately.

Yelp
This is not my first trip to average Joe's but this is my first review. First of all I love the atmosphere here. Very welcoming and full or warmth from the second you come in. The bartender was very friendly. I didn't order food right away and just had a beer. I did end up getting an appetizer and it was amazing. I ordered the chicken dumplings which comes in a sauce. This is a must have item if you come here. It was full of flavor and cooked just right. The red Sox were playing and I asked if she could put it on and she did without hesitation. She tuned it on to all the TVs lol. If your in an area that has an average Joe's then you must at least make a visit. Well worth it.

Mike M.

Yelp
Had a family dinner here in early September. It was suggested by a friend, and was a decent place to eat overall. The restaurant was easy to find, and seemed clean and well-appointed overall. The menu was typical for a mall-chain - lots of sandwiches, pasta, burgers, etc. Nothing too daring. Prices seemed to be a little inflated for what you actually got - especially for drinks. I wouldn't object to eating here again, but certainly wouldn't make a special trip for it.

Natalie D.

Yelp
I don't usually write reviews, but I wasn't very happy with this place. First, we called and asked if there was a wait and the host or some girl said uhhh and then told us there was a 20 minute wait. We got there and there was no one in the restaurant so there was definitely no wait. The waitress was very nice and the bread was good, however my lunch meat was horrible and the fries were too salty. There was hair in my nachos and everything else was gross. All my friends got a stomach ache after. Definitely do not recommend.
google avatar

Denise M.

Yelp
I can't believe I'm going to say this but I had one of the best burgers here I've had in a long time. Maybe because I haven't had a burger in a long time and I've forgotten how good burgers are with gluten free buns. I liked that they allowed me to be creative and order avocado with a side of the pineapple salsa for the burger. What fell of the burger (my mouth is not that wide) was then gathered as accompaniments on the side salad. I used a lime to flavor the salad as well, it worked. Yes, I am one of those people that 'hunts and gathers' ideas to adjust my order from looking at what items are served with other dishes. It was simple and hit the spot. If up in the area again, I would return. I miss the NYJ in Medford. The staff were super friendly, it was not crowded. Good experience! It is all about the burger for me!

Yelp
My family visited the new location on New Year's Day. We were seated promptly and the atmosphere is great. Our server was very nice and proceeded to take our drink orders right away. Once the drinks came we ordered the nachos as an appetizer. This is where the visit went sour. The nachos are the saddest thing I've ever seen. It's a stack of about 20 chips with a drizzle of several sauces, a couple of avocado pieces and a ring of corn salsa. This is not enough for two people nevermind five. The server never informed us of the small portion. After awhile our food came to the table. The table servers (not our waiter) were joking about how the top bun of my burger jumped off the plate and fell on the floor. Then our server came over and commented "I see you ordered our 'open faced burger' ". Now I'm okay with humor but none of the three gave me a sincere apology. The manager came over and delivered my top bun and finally apologized. Overall the food was okay and the service was average. This new location has some work to do as far as knocking out the kinks.

Yelp
Food was very well cooked. Credit to the kitchen staff! GF and I sat at the bar. She got the Chicken BLT. I got the southwest burger. GF was gushing about everything coming out sizzling hot. Burger was cooked perfectly! Bartenders were great too! An all around good meal!

Yelp
Your super crunch salad, which I love, seems to get smaller and smaller. Losing interest

Yelp
I haven't stepped into a NYAJ's in a great many years. But I was meeting my mom and sister for lunch and it was either that or the Cheesecake Factory (CF). We decided on NYAJ's since it had been a while, plus we don't care for the crowds and the noise of the CF. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and atmosphere. It was clean and open and bright, and noise was muted. There weren't that many people in there yet, we went for an early lunch. But people were trickling in the entire time, and the noise level didn't seem to increase noticeably. The next jewel in the crown was our server Austin. He was helpful and friendly and attentive without being annoying or bothersome. Answered all our questions, offered suggestions and made us feel very comfortable. Service is such an undervalued part of the dining experience, but it easily improves it ten-fold if it's good. It was. Now to the food. The menu was different and not overly large, certainly not on the scale of the CF, but there were plenty of items to choose from and many were different, while still offering enough choices for those less adventuresome. It was one of those days for us. My sister had the Backyard Burger, medium rare, my mom had the Shrimp Scampi special, and I had the Sweet Blue Burger. Oh boy. What a burger. Cooked to perfection with that charcoal or wood fired grill finish, with country bacon, caramelized onions and arugula - each and every bite a delight. Crispy fries which were a tad too thin for my taste, but they still were good. Austin said when Chris was on the grill, there was no better place to have a burger. I'm inclined to agree. I think the only negative thing I would mention was the bun started falling apart before I finished it (but not by much, lol). The rest of the family seemed equally happy with their meals. To cap it off, cappuccinos all around and we split an order of Carrot Cake, which was very good, maybe *just* crossing the line on the excessively sweet side, but couldn't dislodge the remaining taste of the burger, thank goodness. All in all, a very favorable meal. They should commend their staff. We did.

Yelp
Today I decided to visit this restaurant for the first time. I have never been here and well, i wanted to change the scenery. At first i thought it was kind of a sport bar but when you go inside is very casual and lay back. They offer some healthy options on their menu. Like vegan, glutem free and such. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. The presentation of the food was amazing. The waiter brought some bread with, i guess oils, parmesan cheese and God knows what else. The bread, in my opinion was salty but, mixed with the oil dressing it was good. My son ordered sirloin tips on mashed potatoes and spinach... The sirloin was cooked to perfection, however, it didn't had any flavor. Like they didn't seasoned it. He also order a piña colada which it was goos I order chicken piccatta... that one was actually delish!. The server was super nice and the price was reasonable. $31. for everything. However, is not a place i can see myself visiting again.

Yelp
Service was really good for a large party last minute. The front of the house staff doesn't seem to relay info great so we had to explain a second time we couldn't put toddlers on a high top but not a huge deal. We waited like 15mins. They were out of impossible burgers so I had the spaghetti squash bolognese which honestly was a huge overpriced bowl of chunky very fresh vegetable stew. It was hearty and tasty but definitely not a bolognese impersonation in any stretch. The food was good and the table service was excellent except drink refills. I'd hate to be there on a busy night. Everyone had huge portions and ate three bread bowls at least.

Yelp
My experience last night was thoroughly disappointing. While the dinner started off fine (love the bread!), our waitress took our order in a short amount of time, friendly at the start, and also brought our first drinks out relatively quickly. From that point forward, the experience went downhill quickly. Our food took a while to come out and when it finally did, it was our entrees not the appetizer we ordered. We were asked if we still wanted them, and we told her we did. We also asked for a Peach Bellini since the ginger ale had no flavor at all. The appetizer then came out fairly quickly along with the new drink, but the waitress left immediately, without a word. My glass was packed to the brim with ice, so getting a refill would have been nice at that point. My burger was cooked as ordered on the inside, but was not seasoned and burnt on the outside. My fries were also unseasoned. My spouse's steak was also not seasoned. Frankly, the most tasty thing on the table that we paid for was the mango salsa accompaniment to the chicken tenders. As for cleanliness, there were several green beans coated in oil on the floor under our table. This made for a very slippery exit later. The waitress did not return. As we ate she visited the adjacent table at least 4 times, yet never even glanced in our direction so that we could ask for what we needed. It took an additional half hour or so to get our check... at least 20 minutes after we were done eating. If we had the cash, we would have tossed it on the table and left at that point. Eventually she came back to leave the bill then run our card, but never asked for feedback. In fact, if there was any managerial presence on the floor at all, we would have said something on the way out. We left the restaurant feeling throughly irritated, frustrated that we spent upwards of $60 on what should have been an enjoyable end to our date night.

Yelp
Went to Not your Average Joe's tonight and was 100% satisfied. Just got a cheeseburger and fries and the food was great but what was better then the food in my opinion was the service. I had a sweet waitress Gianna and she was so pleasant and made me feel completely at home. She was busy serving a few tables but managed to check on me at the exact time I needed something. When I go back I will be requesting to sit in her section.

Yelp
Took 7 family members this evening. Abby took our order without using a pen and pad and she nailed it. Abby was prompt, professional, polite and wonderfully pleasant. We received our food quickly and it was delicious. Value for the experience was outstanding and the services was a big part of that. Thank you to the team at Not your Average Joes!

Yelp
The high point of my week is when I go to not your average joe's in Peabody. The food is always amazing and the staff there go out of their way to make it a really special meal. Amanda takes such good care of us and Abby is a wonderful and attentive server. Everyone has treated us so well including Bobby, the manager. There is not a restaurant anywhere that makes better bread! It's truly exceptional! And so is everyone who works there! I feel very fortunate to be able to have a great dinner there every week!

Yelp
Just had a fabulous lunch at NYAJ in Peabody. Amanda, our server, welcomed us back like family. Amanda has a beaming smile and award-winning service. The salmon bowl and specially-made mushroom ricotta pizza were great. Bobby, the manager, runs a great operation and is hands-on doing everything, including cleaning tables. Kat is great in the bar.

Yelp
Being from Michigan where we don't have this restaurant chain - we didn't know what to expect. My wife has a gluten allergy (so you are always rolling the dice with unfamiliar restaurants, especially chains). This place blew us away. Some of the very best service that I have ever had... anywhere. Without needing to ask for a gluten free menu, the host asked right out of the gate, "and do either of you need a gluten free menu"? This was definitely a good sign. The server was up next. She was an absolute rockstar of a server. From great suggestions, encouraging me to try different iced teas (free refills, so just try one and than another). The focaccia bread and oil were also not your average bread service. Our entrees were both generous, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. If I could rate the food, service, atmosphere, and friendliness higher than a 5 on the 5-scale... I would. Not Your Average Joe's cranks it up to 11!
