First time dining here. Our waitress was super nice. The hot honey chicken sandwich was yummy. I like to put coleslaw on my chicken sandwiches. (Photos attached) If you want the best "mcdonalds fries" come to Not your average Joe's restaurant, they are hot fresh and crispy as they should be! I always recommend wings for starters. We did plain wings with sauces on the side to try all 3. Sweet chilli is the best for the wings in my opinion, nice and sweet with a tiny kick. And we finished off with the creme brulee. We will be visiting again in the future!

We have been traveling for over a month now, and this has to be my favorite stop! Our service was amazing, and our server had an incredible sense of humor! The food was outstanding (charcuterie board was 👌 ). I ordered the avocado club with fries, and my significant other had the chicken parmesean. I'm aware that these dishes sound mediocre, but do not let that deceive you. THEY WERE DELICIOUS! 10 out of 10 will be back!

Went here to eat with my fiancé. The food had hair in it. Her spinach had some black burnt thing in it. And the chicken we ordered had crab in it. They used the same batter they made crab cakes with to dip the chicken in for the breaded chicken. This is dangerous as some people are allergic to shellfish. The manager took care of the bill. We didn’t have to pay but it still was a bad experience. None of the workers that worked in the kitchen area had on hairnets. This can explain the hair in my food.

First time here!! Lunch date with my man. This time we sat outside as it is a perfect New England day and Hanah was our server. She was super friendly, professional, attentive and the food was so good! For starters we ordered chicken dumplings. They were fresh, hot and tastier than I have had in some time. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. My man ordered the cape cod Reuben. They came out hot- the portions were huge! So glad we picked this place for lunch! Cannot wait to come back!!

Me and my friend were doing furniture and cabinet shopping and were lookong for a place that offered Turkey Burgers in the Warwick area, this was one if the fews places that offerred it. They had such good size portions (well priced), really delicious and looked good (aestethically pleasing). I also ordered the Sorbet, at first i felt deceived cause it looked like chopped fruits, but when i took a spoon of that mango i fell in love with it (worth trying if you like fruity/citrus icd creams/sorbet. Not an alcoholic drinker but they did have decent cocktails. Love thst their was a outdoor option to dine at, place was busy but not overly crowded that the wait time wasnt to bad (on a Saturday) and staff were pleasant. Ample parking as well

Google
We love their Caesar salad & pizza ..been coming to Joe's for 20 years!!! Never disappointed! Their focaccia bread & dipping sauce is hands down the best we have ever had...

Google
super upset with this place tonight. ordered the almond crusted goat cheese salad to go, with no protein, and was told it would take 15 mins. it took 35. fine. the hostess was apologetic. i proceeded to eat my salad on the ride home in the passenger seat, disappointed to find only 3 raspberries in the whole salad, two of which were FULLY covered in mold. disgusting. then i was unpleasantly surprised to realize that the “candied” pecans were PLAIN JANE pecans. not candied. i’m trying to justify this experience with the fact that i’ve dined here before and had a pleasant experience, but truthfully it just seems like this place has gone downhill. will never be returning.

****Edited to add: of note, despite manager comment below, I just ordered today 7/18/25, 4 days after manager response…hoping for a better outcome and the same issues still exist. Cucumber still packed with crisps and crisps are now rubbery and not crunchy, almost stale. Disappointing. I won’t be ordering this for takeout anymore unfortunately.**** I love the food here. However, packaging for takeout really needs to be revisited. I order the feta dip regularly since having it in the restaurant for the first time. I’ve not said anything until this order but it’s getting worse and I wanted to bring it to managements attention. 1. Packaging the crisps with either the pita or the cucumber makes them rubbery and not good. They should be packed separately in a bag. 2. I’m not sure what’s going on but lately the garbanzo beans it’s topped with are super watery, making the feta dip underneath watery as well. 3. This recent time, some sort of liquid has leaked (maybe from the cukes) into the bread and crisps container, adding sogginess to the already now rubbery crisps. Please fix!! We love your food otherwise and it’s one of the only places my friend with extensive food allergies can eat.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I came here for dinner this evening and we had Luis as our waiter. I had never been to a NYAJ before, and I absolutely enjoyed my first experience here. Firstly, my girlfriend asked the general manager on the phone if her dog could come, and he made an exception that we were very grateful for. We were seated on the patio, and it had quite the ambience for our date, with overhead string lights and flowers on the table. Luis was very chill, and very attentive. Two qualities that don't always go hand and hand but appreciated greatly when they do. He provided excellent service and ensured our waters were always topped up, ensured we always had drinks, and gave us space and time to talk, allowing us not to feel rushed. The food was delicious. We got dumplings for an app, and I got a honey chicken sandwich for my meal. The drinks were also excellent. Both the general manager and Luis were very kind to my girlfriend's dog. Needless to say, her and I will absolutely be back!

Yelp
Almost a four stars: Pros: Large bar Good service Cons: Very pricey for what you get More of a chain restaurant vibe All their beer taps were down when I was there. I did get an app while I was there! Overall a decent chain restaurant.

Emily P.

Yelp
Dined here this evening for the first time and had a great experience. We had Luis as our server and he was very attentive and friendly but did not make us feel rushed at all. He had such a wonderful presence, pride in his service, and happy energy that was contagious and added so much to the dining experience and made a wonderful impression. The almond encrusted goat cheese salad is absolutely to die for, as are the spicy cauliflower bites! Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
I went for lunch and I saw the new streamlined menu. I got the meatloaf with no potatoes, but with green beans instead. The meatloaf was tasty but very firm to the bite. I guess I like my meatloaf a bit moister and not as hard. Still the service was excellent and the taste of the entree was very good.

Yelp
Tuna taco was on the sweet side, fresh, and the shell was fried and crunchy. It kept its shape somewhat but did crumble after a couple bites. Not spicy and only had a sprinkle of condiments. The chicken dumplings were good, tasty savory and warm when they arrived. The bread this time around was cold but not hard. Server was prompt, attentive, and got straight to them point in getting our orders and delivering it. Servers they are always consistent and please t in every visit so far. Definitely a clean and casual atmosphere~ This place was good, and has solid food, but nothing too impressive. It's a standard American food with fusions of popular dishes that are trendy. Overall, like any chain restaurant, they are a hit or miss, where food is delicious! Or just standard good sometimes.

Yelp
Rating: 3.5 I've been to few locations but decided to leave a review this time. Not Your Average Joe is a chain restaurant mainly located in New England area which offers mostly American food with some fusion dishes. We usually go to the warwick location after movie because of its convenience and their bread. The place offer large parking spaces as its located in the mall and inside is large and spacious as well with many seatings. Usually the place is not very busy and wait time is minimal although there aren't a-lot of staffs available considering the size of the establishment. Usually I order their Cobb salad or jambalaya but today we decided to order Cobb salad and my partner ordered ahi tuna tacos and chicken dumplings. They usually bring out their bread and dipping sauce prior to the order. It's not very consistent but when its fresh bread is very good and the dipping sauce makes it a great combination probably the highlight of the place. Unfortunately today the bread was cold and was probably sitting for a while. Cobb salad is usually pretty consistent, made up of some vegetables, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, bacons, avocado, grilled chicken all put together by blue cheese dressing. Cobb salad was good but seemed like it was less portion compared to what I'm used to. Their ahi tuna tacos and chicken dumplings were good but again pretty small portion. The foods are quite expensive here considering the amount of food and the quality. Services are usually good depending on the waiter. Today the service was quick and good. Overall, the place is good but quality of food and portion can be inconsistent. Personally I feel that this location's quality has decreased over the years and price has soared at the same time. I hope that there are improvements in the future but not sure if i'll return if this trend continues.

Yelp
A friend and I stopped in for dinner, this was the first time she and I had been here. Let me start by saying that bread and the dipping sauce they give you is beyond delicious For dinner I had chicken with spinach and of course a cold beer (tall not short) It was the weekend , a tall is a must the service was really good. The waitress continued to check on us and asked if we needed anything. I enjoyed sitting at a high top near the bar, but there are booths if that is what you choose.
google avatar

Yelp
Went for dinner last night. Food is really good. Pretzel was huge, the kids loved it. Had the charcuterie board cheeses were good meats really nice. I had the chicken really good, a bit oily from the fry but very tasty. Husband had the scallops polished them off fast. One kid had the Cesar salad, didn't think it had enough dressing on it. The other chicken strips and fries. Overall great time, waitress was really nice and checked on us during the night to see if we needed anything else.

Yelp
Quality has considerably gone down since the times in past pre-Covid when used to dine at the former thriving Seekonk location and the last time dined here at this location last year. Restaurant was barely occupied with 1-2 tables occupied & no one at bar even after we left for a Sunday evening. Considerable time taken waiting to be seated as majority of staff was at rear counter at kitchen where takeout orders are picked up. Food was 'meh' compared to levels that used to love at their Seekonk location. Focaccia bread for table was not great nor warm. Salad was decent and sirloin tips entree was very 'meh'. Wait service was good. Noise level was quiet. Wanted to take soda home but when asked for carry-out cup was told they don't have to-go cups. Guess no one is provided drinks for takeout orders? It was nice knowing Not Your Average Joe's as it used to be

Yelp
we had a party of 30 for our night before the wedding!!!! Honestly the table was set so pretty, the staff was attentive. No one went thirsty or hungry! The drinks were very good, the food could use a tiny bit more flare BUT overall i have to say, THANKS to you all!!!!! I would recommend!

C B.

Yelp
Im in town for thanksgiving and i thought id would try out this place. My family and I walk in and we're seated right away and did not have to wait for drinks long. The problem came when he came after we ordered. 1hr wait for the food and refills. Burger was burnt, fish was gross, but we just accepted it and waited for the check. 45 mins pass and one of my brothers went and found our waiter for the check. We were in the restaurant over 2 hrs for bad food...
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped here for dinner while on vacation. We had a party of 5 and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our time there. I ordered the bbq meatloaf. I wasn't too impressed with it. Seemed like it was a prepackaged frozen hunk of meat. While we were there the cops arrested someone in the parking lot so we did have some entertainment and had some fun chatting about it with the employees.

Yelp
Listen to me! Why hasn't anyone told me about this place? I assumed it was expensive and was just another burger joint. Boy, to my surprise it was the opposite. We were greeted by Mark the GM and he was a delight. I asked for a booth, and we were placed with Jen (the main reason I'll be going back). First impression Jen was so attentive and so sweet, not a forced server she was for sure amazing, so fun and sweet. We got bread with some fancy oil and cheese, yummy! My mom asked for more. They have so many meals to choose from and all reasonably priced. I was shocked! My mom and I tried the Shrimp Scampi Pizza (large). It was pretty big and fed up both, with leftovers! Oh my mom got lobster bisque as her appetizer and loved it. Back to this pizza I loved It. It had a lemon in the middle I said what is this, I'm not fancy? Apparently it makes the pizza taste even more yummy, the pizza at delicious!!!! Oh and I got desert! I NEVER get desert I am not a sweets person, but boy that apple pie looked so yummy, and it was my favorite thing on I had! Overall a very great experience. For the both of us without tip it was only 46.00 for all of that. How? We shall be back and we are requesting Jen for sure! One more thing the aesthetics were very appealing and calm and cozy the mood was set perfectly. Not loud, a medium setting of tone. They have TV's and play music that isn't loud or annoying. I really enjoyed myself.

Yelp
What I liked: - the place is large with lots of seating, so we were seated right away at a high top at the bar. - the bartender served us (in addition to managing the bar, and she was great. Very customer oriented. - the jambalaya was great. It was nicely spiced and it had a fair amount of protein. What to watch for; - keep an eye on staffing. The bartender did double duty managing the bar and the tables around the bar. She did a heroic job, but a lesser person would have struggled to keep up.

Yelp
I did not order food here, the menu did not open my interest, I ended up ordering some drinks. The drinks were average, the service was ok the place was nearly empty yet the server was not attentive to busy wiping the counters and glass glasses. The ambiance was over all nice I liked the decor very updated I can see this place getting packed for a game or something.
google avatar

Yelp
Decent club sandwich with side Caesar!!! Although the croutons in the side Caesar tasted expired.. very hard to chew. I had to pick them out after I tried second crouton. The Peanut Butter Thing dessert was delicious. Issac- my server.. was great. Gave me his honest opinion on all my questions which I appreciate.

Rob K.

Yelp
Food was below average Service was slow and almost nonexistent Temperature was way above average. Uncomfortable. The free bread was cold and firm. Maybe the above makes it Not Your Average. I couldn't understand how the place was so open on a Friday night at 6:30. I get it now.
google avatar

L W.

Yelp
Poor service, long wait times from the kitchen on a night that wasn't busy. Sandwiches were okay but the bread was burned. We were there almost 2 hours probably because we had to repeatedly ask for items two or three times. Not an enjoyable evening.
google avatar

Amber F.

Yelp
The food was excellent! The only thing that was bad was the service, the staff hardly had anyone working and the worst part was there were only a few other tables, the place wasn't busy at all! We finally got our food after an hour (we barely ordered anything) and the prices were a bit crazy, 5$ for one fountain drink? Jeez.
google avatar

Sarha S.

Yelp
Service was not bad but could definitely be better. Maybe there was only one server that bartended and served tables that's why? Drinks were not bad. I liked the painkiller. Spicy tuna taco I should've known better. I wouldn't order that. Definitely average. Creamy tomato was good

Dante H.

Yelp
Great food! Waiters and waitresses were really nice! The restaurant looks great in general! This is definitely one of my favorite places to dine. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Decided to check this place out with a friend and was not disappointed. The menu has so many choices and Isaac was helpful with our decisions. We enjoyed the focaccia bread they bring with the delicious dipping sauce. More please. :-) My friend enjoyed the Waldorf salad with the creamy sherry vinaigrette on the side and plenty for leftover the next day. I ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap and sweet potato fries. I ate 1/2 of the wrap and enjoyed the other 1/2 for lunch the next day. The seasonal fresh fruit red sangria was in a nice size glass with lots of little fresh fruit to enjoy.
google avatar

Josie H.

Yelp
Went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered the mustard crusted chicken, the chicken caprese, and the seasonal salad with blackened chicken. Everything was great. They started us with bread and oil (just wish the bread was warm). Matt was great. Fast service. No complaints here.

Macara M.

Yelp
Awful food. The focaccia is bone dry, pretty sure if you ate cardboard it'd be the exact same. They don't even cut it either it's just served as a huge square that you then have to messily rip apart. Terrible experience
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
Today drove 40 minutes round trip to get a pizza and salad. Should've checked the bag-No dressing for the salad and no dressing for the Buffalo Chicken Pizza-very aggravating and i need to learn my lesson...There wasn't a single customer in the place! Do your job!

Ty S.

Yelp
Restaurant is beautiful, bread is delish, soup was ok, dinner was average Caesar salad ... can speak for itself Lacking in the portion size

Yelp
My same friend and I decided to come back again last week for lunch. The atmosphere is still the same- if busy it can be a bit noisy, but otherwise it's easy to hear each other. Our server seemed a bit stressed and we had to wait a bit before he came over to ask for drinks. (same for refills) so not sure if he had too many tables or what. I do wonder how they train, as front of house is usually grouped together chatting when you walk in and you are not acknowledged immediately and service can be hit or miss. Perhaps it's the lack of urgency you feel from them as you have just an hour for lunch and are waiting for them to stop by for a refill or to get your check. Once he came over and took our order we waited a bit to get our drinks (water and hot tea) . Then he came back to take our order. He took it and was ready to go when I asked if we could have bread. He said "Oh, of course". I thought it was automatically asked if you wanted bread or they brought it over? It's a main attraction for going here - a guilty pleasure if you will. My friend ordered the VEGGIE HARVEST BOWL (bowl of brown rice, quinoa, butternut squash, onions, carrots, brussels sprouts, tuscan kale and Napa cabbage drizzled with herbed tahini) $17.50. She said it was AMAZING. She loved it and said the flavors together were great and she was happy she tried it, and would definitely get it again! I ordered the lunch size portion of CHICKEN PICCATA - ( pan-seared chicken in a lemony cream sauce, sprinkled with capers and diced roma tomatoes, served with gluten-free pasta. ) $14.75 Mine was pretty good. Nice flavor on the chicken, but WAY to many capers (think 1/2 bottle or more) that made it very acidic with the lemon. I would reduce the amount of capers by half , and not enough tomatoes to balance any of it. I took some home and reheated it for lunch the next day and it was too acidic to eat. Oh well. Since I only go here when my friend wants to go, it's ok, but I never seek it out on my own. Hmmm. Just too many other restaurants in the area for working people who need to get in and out.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
I liked it. I've only had the pizza so far, but I liked it. NY style, no flop, sweet sauce. A lot of people will probably hate the pizza, its no thrills and nothing special, but I liked it. Everyone was friendly and the place looked clean.
google avatar

Mia A.

Yelp
This place is great and the staff is always kind. The inside is cool, but they always do their food perfectly whether you dine in or takeout. My favorite pick is the baked mac and cheese with the short rib! The make-your-own personal pizzas are also delicious and the crust is perfect. PLUS, the foccacia that comes with every meal (even when you take out!) is amazing!!!
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
Delicious! Came here for lunch on a Sunday and it was very good. Not crowded at all. The cheese steak egg rolls are amazing!! And the Penne Alla Vodka is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Savannah B.

Yelp
Went here last night for my grandmothers 84th birthday.... Service was incredibly slow. Half of our party's food was served before waiting another 10 minutes for the rest of the food to come out. The birthday girls food was served last and she ordered a salad! Dads burger was cooked well done when he ordered it medium rare so we had to wait for that to be recooked. By the time it came out everyone was done eating so he just took it home. We were all disappointed and skipped on any desserts. Will not be going back.
google avatar

J D.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a long time now and before the pandemic I loved coming after work for their happy hour and buck-a-shuck Mondays. My favorite appetizer is the ahi tuna wontons. They've recently added more ahi menu items such as a salad and a poke bowl, which I ordered tonight. I must say I was very skeptical that I would be a fan but I was pleasantly surprised and it is hands down my new favorite item on the menu. The combination of fresh ingredients makes you feel like you're doing a good thing by eating this and the crunch of the wonton strips ties it all together. My husband always gets the Buffalo chicken pizza but it's my review, not his so try the ahi poke bowl because it is delicious!
google avatar

Lauren P.

Yelp
Wasn't crazy about the service . We went for appetizers on a Sunday afternoon and sat at the bar. Food took a very long time to come out and the bartender was barely at the bar. Nachos came out mushy so obviously they were sitting in the kitchen waiting to be taken to us, chicken was very tasty (little on the spicy side) and lastly my boyfriend ate the tuna wontons and was very happy. Nothing made me say I have to come back and have this again.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Meh. Our server was good, and made a great maple old fashioned. However, a cup of soup, a side salad, one beer and two cocktails $47??? Too much! We had actually ordered enchiladas at $18, but they were dry and awful so they were taken off the bill. Not a great view of the manager eating at the first table right near the host stand either. Going back and forth while eating to the stand without handwashing to seat people, meh not great.
google avatar

Cheris M.

Yelp
Beware of the back patio at 8pm. The mosquitoes come in droves. Got 40 bites in 5 minutes. Food was just okay. The fries are probably frozen and they tasted dead and old. Maybe they need to change their oil. Burger was good!

J P.

Yelp
Tuesday night. Sitting at the bar. 7 people here and the bartender is more concerned with tasks and training her tag along. Waited over 30 minutes for appetizer and no napkins or utensils. Meal comes 5 minutes after appetizer. Ordered burgers, looked like they were cooked correctly, but the burgers were cold. What a disaster of a meal. Matt, the manager came over and we chatted with him. Matt, thanks for listening and taking care of the issues but we will not be coming back.
google avatar

Neeta D.

Yelp
Never knew this place was so great. My drink pomegranate passion Martini was amazing as you can see in the pics!! Crab cake definitely stood out from the other places and is a must try. Egg Benedict lovers will definitely love it here. . Have uploaded all pics to help the diners decide. . Do enjoy your meal here!!

Cady C.

Yelp
Lived in Warwick for years but never tried this place. Decided to eat lunch outside because it's a nice day. They have a beautiful, spacious patio as well as a nice fire place area to sit around and it would be perfect for dinner or drinks outside inside in the summer. Our waitress, Lauren, was awesome. Quick, checked up on us enough to where if we needed something we didn't have to wait for it, but also didn't feel rushed at all and like we could really sit and enjoy our meal, she was very friendly as well. We will ask for her next time! I had an impossible burger with fries and it was one of the best I've had dining out. Also the bread they give you before your meal is DELICIOUS!
google avatar

Julie M.

Yelp
This place was very good. I was expecting a chain restaurant type experience but to my surprise the food was served hot and fresh. The portions of the appetizers were a little bit small but overall I recommend this place. I had the meatloaf and it was excellent. Also recommend the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls.
google avatar

Brieanne C.

Yelp
Didn't even want to give 2 stars. WAY OVER priced crap food.... Service is terrible, very slow, waited 40 min for soup and salad... the chowder was DISGUSTING when brought out to me it had a film over it like it was sitting the whole time before being served to me, it was way too thick and curdled. Couldn't even eat it after one bite yet they got $11 for it. The chicken Caesar salad, $17, barely any chicken or salad, for $17?!! Definitely recommend going into the mall and going to the food court, way better food there for a lot less.... I'm telling you, pass this restaurant over, you and your pocket will thank me later... typical trash chain..... cork and rye right next door WAY BETTER...

Yelp
For a chain restaurant, NYAJ's is pretty good, but for a general restaurant I found it pretty average. Walking in, I enjoyed the light and inviting décor. You would think it's like your typical Applebees chain, but the vibe I got was one of a contemporary diner. For the food, I found it be overall underwhelming and under-seasoned. The bread rolls (more like a Focaccia) with the olive oil mixture was appetizing and helped to awaken the appetite, but everything after was the disappointing part. Recommended by the waiter, we decided to order the flatbread and Sirloin Tips. Flatbread: Layered with a balsamic-like sauce and sweet potatoes, the flavors didn't really pop. The center pieces had an appropriate amount of toppings, but as you get toward the crust it's just dough. Sirloin Tips: I was really excited to try this, but probably found this the most disappointing. The tips were completely charred and the only taste I could feel was burnt coal. Green beans felt like they were fresh, but were a little too raw to my liking. For steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans I didn't find anything special. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes, but it's conveniently close to the Warwick Mall.

Yelp
I pretty much go here for the bread and oil soooooo good, I had the seafood fettuccine pretty bland wouldn't get it again, my daughter had the pizza also blah drinks are always on point but probably won't venture here often as there are so many other great Update: went back after manager contacted me about my bland experience, have to say huge improvement got the steak tips, delicious! Green beans were bland though but everything else delicious!!! Great job will be back
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
I've been here a number of times and love the bar setup with a huge TV front and center with no closed captioning on. Great work with that. The Seekonk location is closer to me but their tvs are old, tiny and too high up. Steak n cheese egg rolls are my favorite and all their salads taste so fresh. I went in on Thursday and the bartender was so nice and attentive. I realized I was drinking out of a glass that had lipstick smeared all over it and that was really gross. Honestly lost my appetite a bit after that so I can't say I'm looking to rush back even though I'm a fan overall. Might be a while.

Yelp
UPDATE: Old Review below After publishing my not so good review below, I received a direct message from the business apologizing for the poor service my party and I received. We were kindly compensated for our meal with a $60 gift card along with a personal handwritten message, which was a nice gesture. So, back to the food! This time, we decided to order take out from NYAJ for fear of having to tip in case we had the same bad experience. We ordered miso salmon with bok choy and coconut risotto, heritage bone-in pork chop atop arugula and roasted potatoes, Thai chicken lettuce wraps, and a bowl of tomato basil soup. The meal came with their house bread and butter/olive oil? cheese dip. My son enjoyed his miso salmon -- I had a few bites to try and I did like it. It wasn't dry and had good flavor. Also enjoyed the coconut risotto. I didn't care for my pork chop that I ordered medium, since it will continue to cook in the heat...and it came out extra dry. I didn't mind the dressing on the arugula and the potatoes were good. I didn't try my bf's Thai lettuce wrap b/c he didn't like it and it didn't look appetizing. I give this 2nd chance 3 stars since I enjoyed some of the food. I'm very grateful for the business reaching out and asking for another try. However, I probably won't eat there again because nothing "wowed" us. BUT! at least some people I know enjoy eating here. Thanks again, for the reimbursement! Additional pictures posted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've never thought of coming here. I see it all the time and hear people say it's good, etc. I only gave it a try b/c my son wanted to try it out and I finally gave in. Well, it was just, Ok. The physical restaurant itself is huge, beautiful inside with high ceilings...many tables. However, we waited about five or more minutes for a table and they weren't busy at all. No one before us, no one after us. Two hosts were trying to figure out where to seat us. When they were finally ready, one host said to the other, "did you ask if they wanted outdoor seating?" The host nodded her head...but she did not ask us and I always choose to sit outside, oh well. Didn't want to bother them. Our server took forever to come and greet us and asked the initial, "would you like anything to drink?" Then she disappeared for a while after that as well. Going to make this short and not so sweet...the service was disappointing and the customer service from the server herself wasn't friendly at all. It seemed like she didn't want to be there at all and hated her job. I think it took about thirty minutes or more for our food to come out and the food was just, Ok, too. I ordered a caprese salad and had to ask for extra dressing b/c it was so dry. My son ordered steak tips that he did not enjoy b/c they were chewy. He asked for medium rare and they came out medium well. My bf ordered a meatloaf dish that didn't have enough gravy and when he asked for a side of gravy, the server said they didn't have any. It IS the average Joe's.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. It was my first time there tonight. We had two beef Asian noodle bowls, chicken pot stickers ( so good we ordered more), lobster guacamole ( lobster was good but maybe it needed more seasoning not sure I'm not a big lobster person) and fish with the best sweet potato ff I've ever had. Very pricey 3 sodas bill was $170 with tip. The waitress was awesome. Sat outside fireplace was on. Def will go back. Food came out fast. Place was dead as it's not "their season". Def should be busier. Portion size good on those Asian bowls. Not small like BJ brew house.

Yelp
I had Kevin as my server at the Warwick, RI Location. Got a Monday off and felt like relaxing. I had excellent, prompt service, and great feedback for anything I asked about. I'm very satisfied with my choice to go here today. Next up is dessert and a Pineapple Painkiller.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! The service was even BETTER! Our waiter was awesome and we will always ask for him when we get to come back! The restaurant was clean, beautiful and it was just an all around great first experience. Ask for Devon to be your waiter, he truly made the whole experience the best! We had the Dumplings for an appetizer then main meals were Crab Cakes entree, Grilled Cheese and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup, Cheeseburger & fries and Sirloin Tips on mashed potatoes topped with sautéed spinach and pickled onions topped with balsamic glaze. We all loved our dishes. And the Pineapple Painkiller was out of this world for a drink!

Yelp
Top Notch Customer Support!! Within a few hours of my review I received a message from Jimmie at NYAJ Customer Relations. He was able to explain in good detail what may have gone wrong at the two locations to cause my unfortunate experience. I can say I genuinely felt how much he cared about what had gone wrong and how to work to correct the situation. So much so that he was going to make sure that the staff at both locations were informed about what had gone wrong and how to hopefully avoid situations of that nation from happening again in the future. I was delighted to hear that as I really wrote this review to help alert people and hope that something could be done to avoid this happening again. However, Jimmie was also exceedingly generous and said he was sending me out a gift card to cover the $15 discount plus some extra $ to make it up to me. This is beyond my expectation and I am more than thankful for the absolutely wonderful customer service he provided me. Moral of the story: continue to dine at NYAJ, the food is great and the experience is usually a delight. If by chance you have a bad experience don't hesitate to use platforms such as this to share what exactly went wrong. Odds are someone (maybe even Jimmie himself) will see it and do what he can to help make inform the staff so they can improve and better themselves as a result of it.

Yelp
My server was excellent. My first time at the bar since pre-Covid. I ordered a large IPA, the Ahi Tuna Wontons, and the Bang Bang Shrimp. Wontons were good, but the shrimp was not at all spicy. It had a strong vinegar taste. I would rate it a 2 on a scale of 1 to 5. Other than that, I was disappointed that there was nothing local on tap except for Whalers. That is inexcusable in a state that has so much to offer the beer consumer. Also, what happened to the wonderful bread with the cheesy oil oil dip?
