This is such a cute place!! And our server George took excellent care of us. The food was delicious, well priced, and they had the cutest seasonal menu!! Would absolutely come back next time I’m in Estes!

So Happy we discovered this Gem! Breakfast was super delicious and SO filling. Definitely try the Dragon's Egg Rock Benedict it comes on Green Chili pancakes WOW, Amazing! Also their Blueberry Almond Muffin was a Hot and their coffee was tasty too! They even accommodated me with Dairy free milk option and Honey for a sweetener. We can't wait to go back! You really have to eat here. Love the decor and the waiter was excellent!

Notchtop is fantastic. From the intoxicating aroma of fresh pastries to the fun and flavorful fall menu, it hosts a variety of food, sweet and savory alike. We wanted a classic brunch place, and this was a mesmerizing option. We ended up getting the protein bowl with falafel. It was super tasty with quinoa and fresh vegetables. We also ordered Lindsay’s Favorite Poppy Chicken Wrap, which has actually turned into one of our favorite chicken wraps. It had fresh vegetables, savory chicken, cranberries and a delicious poppyseed dressing. We had the pumpkin muffin for a little sweet treat (50 out of 10, best of the season so far). We also sat at the bar, which had cute decorations all over. The wood interior was impeccable. The back wall toward the restroom had actual individual pieces of log, with planks of wood lining the other portions of the wall. They also had such cute cocktails, both fall themed and not. Perfect for any boozy brunch options. Overall, I just really enjoyed the atmosphere, the decor, and the food. We will come again!

A very good experience. Great food, fast service and a laid back and relaxed atmosphere. We had the American Breakfast, and Lumpy Ridge Omelette(Pico was flavorful). The coffee was excellent too. Highly Recommed this restaurant

Came here first morning we were in Estes Park. Not many breakfast places were around so didn't expect much and this place didn't look too charming from the outside. But as soon as we entered we realized we made the right choice, the staff was extremely pleasant and polite, the menu was varied but still manageable. They gladly catered to my wife's dietary restrictions. We had a lovely meal. The pumpkin pecan French toast was the best I've ever had. One thing to note, we arrived very early right after opening. On the next day we arrived around 9:30 and there was a big line. Had to go somewhere else.

There were a lot of people, however, the wait was not super long. We got a table relatively quickly. The service is pretty good fast enough. Food was alright, it's a diner. The bacon was extremely fatty...

Wow! We came here for the gluten free menu for my son but we wound up eating here 3 times on our trip to Estes. Everything that we had here was great. We would have ate here more if we would have stayed longer. The service was top notch! See what I did there. Lol. We moved on to Colorado Springs and we said the whole time that we wished this restaurant was there. The best restaurant of our trip. Hands down!

Great space, delicious food, the staff took such good care of us!! Our group had various allergies and accommodations and the staff was very good about making sure we had the right stuff! Good coffee too!

Crowded place which means it's good. Walked in... and the smell of breakfast hits you hard making you hungrier and jam you were. I had the avocado toast which was very delicious.

Good traditional American breakfast spot with prompt service and a cozy dining room. The breakfast tacos with chorizo and green chile were delicious. French toast was tall and delicate. Kids devoured their pancakes.

The service was great and we didn't have to wait for a table. They were very attentive and our food came out relatively quickly, especially considering how busy they were. There were a lot of vegetarian options available. The coffee is only okay and my food was a little under seasoned. The Cajun tofu lacked spice but was the perfect texture (which many places get wrong). All in all a good breakfast/lunch place with something for everyone.

This Estes Park institution, named after the majestic Notchtop Mountain (12,129 ft!), has been serving up deliciousness since 1993 - that's 30 years of satisfying hungry folks! Talk about a local legend. The lines out the door prove they're the "belle of the ball" when it comes to breakfast, but don't worry, they're super efficient! We devoured the flavorful Corned Beef Hash & Eggs and the unique Polish Breakfast with those amazing homemade "platkes." Both perfectly seasoned and so satisfying! Already planning my next visit to try their tempting Coffee Cocktails and Mimosas. This place is a must-stop in Estes Park!

Still a favorite in Estes! I've visited quite a few times since my original review and it's still my #1 recommendation for Estes Park breakfast. I love the variety they have for both food and drinks, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is always so nice and the service is quick no matter how busy they are!

We arrived here mid afternoon on a Saturday and it was fairly packed! We were able to be seated right away thankfully with our party of 2. Service was great and food came out quickly. Portions are generous and food is delicious! Would most definitely come again. It is lively and loud as a diner typically is inside. Family friendly!

This restaurant is located in the same lot/strip mall as Safeway, so there's plenty of parking available. The menu is HUGE and so much sounds good, so good luck deciding. I ordered the country fried steak, which comes with eggs, a choice of a potato type (I got hashbrowns) and a choice of bread (I got an English muffin). Everything was cooked well and was super flavorful, and portions were huge! Definitely come hungry. The staff were super friendly and always came to check if we needed refills or anything else. We definitely considered coming back during our stay in Estes but ran out of time. Would absolutely recommend!

Our server was great! The food was marginal at best. My tomato basil soup was more like thick spaghetti sauce.

This place isn't the quaintest, rustic, mountainy place, but goodness the food is amazing! The service was great (thank you, Sasha).

Was craving a good breakfast burrito and found this place. They have many options for making a dish vegan/vegetarian. We substituted the eggs for the Cajun tofu. OMG. My lips are tingling from the spice. It isn't a heat spice. Just a very savory flavor. The burrito is full of veggies and comes with sliced avocado and fresh pico. These are full size burrito's that will fill you up. Gluten free tortilla is available. The wait staff were very friendly and allowed me to make substitutions on my burrito. The place was clean and prices reasonable for a tourist area. A staff member, maybe a manager came around and asked how we were doing. We said how much we loved the food, especially the Cajun tofu. This place also has quite the selection of teas and hot drinks as well as desserts. If we get back this way again it is a must to stop at again.

We loved this brunch spot & will definitely be back. Ample menu that appeals to a wide variety of dietary preferences, great service in a casual environment with easy parking - no complaints! Portions are huge & all had leftovers to bring home, which is unusual for brunch for my family. Bakery cabinet looked amazing - we tried some of the muffins, but the cookies were also calling my name. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Estes Park!

We ordered lunch items, mostly sandwiches, and everything tasted good but nothing was really hot, and my sandwich was soggy. It took an hour to get our food, so be prepared to wait. My son mentioned the fries tasted like "to go fries" which I thought was a good description lol because they weren't crispy at all. It's very popular so I can understand the food wait time, but I was expecting the food to at least be fresh when it finally arrived. We probably won't be back.

Don't let the outside of this place fool you. Situated in a shopping center Notchtop had the most expansive breakfast menu you could want. Cute cafe inside. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious. We will for sure be back next time we visit!

I always love visiting Notchtop when I'm in Estes Park. We typically come for breakfast. Today we enjoyed caveman hash and French toast. It wasn't very busy because it was a Monday in low season. Never disappoints.

Favorite restaurant I had in Estes Park. Lots of locals eating there which is a good sign in a tourist town. Had the Cave Man Hash. Highly recommend.

Small place but we got seated right away. It was about 9:30 am and it got super busy after that. There were 4 of us in our group. The service was awesome. We got our food shortly. This pork green sauce was amazing. I have never had it before and ordered it on the side of my chorizo omelette. It was so good I wanted more of it, but I was so full of that delicious omelette. Give it a try. Everything was delicious.

Not a fan. Burrito was gross and dry. There was so much tortilla left because the burrito wasn't filled up with anything. They put the pico and guac on the side? That usually goes inside of a burrito, also guac is usually smashed up and not still an avocado. There is nothing to salvage in this meal. I wish I could say something good about it, but if you look at my burrito picture the cheese isn't even melted on, it's still solid. Also way too difficult and not worth it to eat with a fork and knife. There was so little chile verde sauce, which contradicts the name of a "wet burrito". Disclaimer: This was after an overnight 8 mile hike. So I was HUNGRY. And this place did NOT satisfy that. Service was good, atmosphere was busy.

Notchtop is s brunch restaurant in Estes Park that serves up an inviting, rustic atmosphere with warm wooden accents, and nature-inspired decor. It feels like you're stepping into a cabin and an old school diner at the same time. As for the food, Notchtop offers a large selection of breakfast and lunch items, with vegan options as well. I'm not going to lie, I was a little confused by my dish. It was a veggie hash with tofu and I was expecting the tofu to be scrambled and seasoned (to mimic scrambled eggs) but the tofu was flavorless and in large cubes. Everything else on the plate was delicious so I simply pushed the tofu to the side after trying a few bites of it. As a vegan who eats tofu quite often, there's so much you can do to season it and make it taste good, so I hope Notchtop will improve that specific dish. Everyone else in my party was 100% satisfied with their meals and like I said, besides the tofu, my food was good. The service was good and our food came out quickly despite the place being packed so I'd definitely be willing to come back and I would recommend to others.

To begin I'll start by answer your burning question- yes, Notchtop IS a top-notch eatery! Open for breakfast and brunch- we arrived today about 12:00. Although super busy at a peak time on Sunday, we as a party of two were seated almost immediately. In no time our attentive waiter, Luiz, approached for our drink order. The menu was easy to follow and digest even though there are so numerous options! Trust me every member of your family will find something for breakfast or lunch that tickles their fancy. In the end, I opted for the Veggie Scramble with a side of fruit and multigrain toast. Hubby ordered the Polish Breakfast with the sour cream on the side. The Veggie Scramble is similar to an omelet and everything was fresh and tasty. It included two large slices of multigrain toast. Other toast options were sourdough or English muffin. The side of fruit included slices of apple, banana, strawberry and orange. Refreshing and fresh! The Polish Breakfast also included generous portions of eggs, sausage and hash brown patty. I think the sour cream was for that. He chose the English muffin. There was so much sausage, he gave me two of them. Everything was delicious! The staff were friendly and Luiz took great care of us. The food did take a little bit but no longer than was reasonable as busy as they were. We sat close to the door and I could see tables were turned quickly so the wait wasn't bad for anyone that came in. I have a feeling we will be visiting again during our stay this week. There are more things on the menu I'm eager to try. It's a bakery too but we didn't try any of those items. Their coffee cocktails sound delicious as well. Also loved the decor, especially the autumn leaf white glass art on the bar side where we sat. The wood carved welcome bear added to the charm for sure!

A great place to get your brunch fix if in the RMNP area. They have a pretty extensive menu and the staff service is great. There maybe a wait so be sure to plan accordingly if you're short on time.

This place had some AMAZING FOOD and was one of the best stops of my visit to Colorado. I got the polish breakfast while my wife got the biscuits and gravy and OH MY GOODNESS they were GOOD! The service was fast and kind considering that it was a full house with a 15 minute wait on a Saturday at peak brunch time while the whole place gave off the atmosphere of a family owned restaurant with a tight knit and welcoming vibe. Overall, I would definitely recommend Notchtop for all your brunch needs if you're in the area.

This is a busy place even at 10 am. I was surprised we only waited about 5-10 mins to be seated. When we enter the restaurant, it reminded me of a diner. Hostess very friendly. When we were seated the waiter was friendly, patient and recommended since this was our first visit. We ordered the Andy's Scramble and Cowboy Breakfast. My husband did not like cheese. It didn't add anything but like the dish. The food and service was great! We will definitely be back when we are in town.

You walk in and there is a case with fresh baked desserts... you know it will be good. The server was very nice and knowledgeable. He made recommendations based on his favourites. The service was also crazy fast, we maybe waited 5 minutes for our food. We ended up order the homemade corn beef hash and the polish breakfast plate. Both were very good. The polish plate came with a traditional potato cake and it's was the highlight of the plate- loved it. The polish sausages were also tasty and not too salty which is sometimes an issue. Very local, Rocky Mountain vibe. The walls were covered the sliced tree stump pieces which was cool.

This place was delicious, cute and quaint and all of the staff were super friendly! We were immediately sat and we sat at their bar. I got the corn beef hash w potatoes over easy eggs and some bacon. the portions were enough for a small family lol. The food was good. I liked how the corn beef was actual corn beef instead of the can corn beef, yuck! The meat was full of flavor and the potatoes were seasoned just perfectly. My overall meal was a 10/10. I will be back to try their other items on their menu and they had quite a selection that all looked delicious.

Busy and smells good! Always good signs. Kid had the breakfast sandwich on croissant. She had the Peak waffles with fruit and toasted almonds. They both said 3-4 star rating. I ordered the turkey club with avocado and bacon. It was good - but he first club I've had that "leaked" with turkey juice. It tasted good, but I wanted to wrap half if it for later to take with me on a hike, and that probably won't work well without a mess. We had the coconut cream pie - that was excellent - maybe the best I've ever had!

Always happy to give a shout out to places that do tea right. Here, you get an individual teapot with at least 16oz and loose leaf tea. Love that. The food was great too. Had turkey bacon sub for bacon. Special ricotta berry crepes were excellent. Omelette was maybe a little dry, but this is a matter of preference. Lots of strong options for breakfast in Estes Park, but this one is my fav. Cute dining room. Buzzing with people. Service was on point.

Notchtop is an excellent choice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch in Estes Park. When I parked and approached, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the interior is nice and inviting. The pastry selection is on full display when you walk in as well. My girlfriend and I were seated quickly early one morning, and the service was super fast and friendly. I got the biscuits and gravy which also comes with potatoes and eggs. I thought everything was good, but I would have preferred the potatoes be a lot crispier. The biscuit was excellent, as was the sausage gravy. Prices were very reasonable given the area, and I will be back next time I'm in Estes!

Second stop to Notchtop in Estes. Quality food both times. The breakfast menu is available thru lunch, providing a wide array of choices for hungry diners. Today I selected the veggie breakfast sandwich & it exceeded my expectations. A generous and hearty choice that helped refuel me after a winter hike in RMNP! While I added hash browns, it would've been enough food without. Our server was awesome - he was attentive and brought all we needed. The atmosphere is relaxing. Notchtop is a great choice of restaurant when swinging through Estes Park.

Had the seasonal item the berries with crepes and it was delicious! They let me substitute eggs for home fried potatoes. Also enjoyed a cappuccino. My husband had biscuits and gravy and really liked it. We sat on the patio and they allowed our small dog. They even brought him a water bowl! The service was very friendly. The patio was beautiful and offered a great view.

4.5 is my overall review. Let's get into why. Three hungry travelers we were, rolling into Estes park at 7:30am. I googled breakfasts, did little research and we wound up at Notch Top. We were seated immediately and our waitress was kind, if not a bit uninterested. We had to flag down another waiter to get our coffees refilled (the .5 deduction). Otherwise ambiance was cool, plenty of locals telling bear stories & a beautiful display of pastries. Now for the food! We ordered 2 of the meaty hash meals and a Denver omelette. NO NOTES. The food was delicious! The gravy, wow. The biscuit... so soft. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food! Would I eat here again? Yes. Should you try this place out? Absolutely. I hear their weekend mimosa & bloody marry specials are great!

If there was an option, i would have given 3.5 stars we ordered a very standard breakfast - avocado toast and omelette. It was good but there wasn't anything wow about it. It was like how I could make toast and omelette at home. Still good but nothing extra ordinary. We were slightly disappointed that the avocado wasn't mashed and spread across the toast, there were just pieces placed at the top. Still good though. Maybe we are just spoilt with fancy looking breakfast in NY

I had the trout and egg breakfast and the trout was fabulous cooked to perfection. There was also a hot sauce on the table. It is black called Perrona with Chiltipin Peppers and I loved it.

Great diner! This is a wonderful spot for brunch. They have great food with a classic American diner feel. Even during the brunch rush, they were able to serve our food quickly. Estes Park does not have very many restaurants, but Notchtop is a great addition to the scene.

Amazing food & great service. The Colorado Breakfast Burrito and the Hawaiian Fire Burger are favorites along with the steak & eggs. You won't be disappointed.

A great breakfast or lunch spot! We enjoyed the outdoor seating at about noon on a Monday. It was busy but we were seated quickly. Best part is you can order lunch or breakfast!! I was craving breakfast so the veggie hash adding sausage was perfect!! The gyro was packed full of meat. Highly recommend this local spot!!

This was the perfect spot for our breakfast with someone who doesn't care for breakfast. I had the turkey wrap which had spinach, cucumbers, bacon and pesto Mayo with a side of sweet potatoes fries. Everything was fresh and so good. Huge portions- only ate half of the wrap. My uncle had the biscuits and gravy, over easy eggs and sausage patty. Sausage was super thick, cooked perfectly. He also said gravy was clearly homemade. He cleared his plate. I also indulged with a cantaloupe mimosa. Yum. Our waitress was super friendly, checked on us and refilled coffee and water often. It was super busy so be prepared for a short wait.

Nice place for a quick breakfast before heading into RMNP. Lots of space, big menu with lots to choose from for breakfast and lunch.

Leaving Rocky Mountain National Park we wanted a hearty hot breakfast and Notchtop did not disappoint. The line when we arrived was seating within minutes and the staff was hustling. We tried a few of their specialties and they were amazing. The Polish breakfast was my favorite but the Cowboy Hash was great! It's a cute place I highly recommend.

Phenomenal lunch spot with a great menu. So many excellent choices. We both loved our lunch. I don't remember what I got, but I took a picture. Some panini with onion soup. It was epic. Service was a little slow but we were seated outside. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Casual breakfast spot. Service was speedy, our waiters (the twins) were very helpful, and the food portions were large. The omelets were ok in flavor. Really enjoyed the wraps we had at lunch while on a trail.

GPS really didn't want to find this place, so I'm glad we saw it in the back of a strip center. Quite busy at lunchtime, we were still seated fairly quickly. With a large menu, we finally decided on lunch. I went with the turkey panini and onion rings, while my wife had the veggie panini with tofu and sweet potato fries. My panini was good but was a little dry. Onion rings were excellent. My wife didn't think the tofu in her sandwich had a lot of flavor, but she really enjoyed the sweet potato fries. Even though they were busy, service was relatively prompt and quite friendly.

:: Food :: I ordered the Cave Man Hash and it was good, it was a pretty big portion and it was flavorful. :: Service :: Customer service was HORRENDOUS. We legitimately sat for THE longest time for our waitress to take our order and believe it or not our waitress NEVER came to service us, another waitress that was taking care of her own tables had to help us take our order since we waved her down. We knew they were busy so we assumed we'd be serviced as soon as they were available, but wow that was pretty ridiculous. The only reason I'm giving an extra star is because the waitress who ended up taking our order was apologizing profusely and even comped us a cinnamon roll. Apparently the waitress that was supposed to serve our table is named Susanna? (It was some 'S' name). The manager heard about the situation and apologized to us too. I truly believe if we did not wave anyone down, we would have been waiting for hours, there were so many instances when a worker would walk by and not ask if we needed anything. THEN to make matters worse, apparently our order was "forgotten" so we waited even longer, thank goodness we were not in a rush... Man, can you even imagine?... The waitress apologized again and gave us cookies to-go. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, especially when we were just trying to enjoy Colorado. It really made us think.. is it because we were the only minority or was it merely a coincidence? I guess we'll never know... *shrug*
